One of the best games I've ever played. Honestly, as much as i liked Fallout 3 I probably prefer this one. Great cast of characters. Power armor is amazing. The combat/shooting is much improved. Fallout 4, lets just say that it is a perfect post-war survival game, because that's what it is. The graphics, the style, the game-play. It's not just that, but the wide variety of mods on PS4 too, it just make the game customized to your liking, making it more and more enjoyable.

I actually wrote an essay on this game that I had to cut pages off of.
I would say don't judge this game by how it is without the add-ons; It'd be about 8/10, maybe even 7.

However, the picture becomes incredibly clear that the story is not what it appears as you uncover more information throughout the game, doing added missions in expansive areas with Far Harbor and Nuka-World; This is the most clever twist I've ever seen in a Bethesda game. It's a shame the publicists couldn't give the writers their due credit because it would ruin the plot device.

I'm not going to do a full review of the game because I've already put a ton of effort into analyzing the story, which is easily the game's biggest selling point.
If you're looking for a post-apocalyptic world mixed with something like Blade Runner, this is a great place to go.
If you're looking for an exploration-heavy open-world RPG FPS with base-building elements, this is a great place to go. (Though I wish they could've just made bases in this game online instead of trying to do it with F76)
I very strongly recommend playing this in Survival mode if you're looking for a challenge; Though loss of fast travel may seem like a turn-off, there's definitely an added layer of immersion with the limitations (needing to eat and drink to survive, needing to sleep like a normal human to function, ammo having weight, being prone to more illnesses, etc...).

Gun and gear customization is great / better with add-ons.

Game-play accommodates many play-styles very well: I've done a play-through all melee, as well as with minimal VATS-usage using mostly automatic weapons.

    Are you the experiment?

There was an enormous colorful world to explore, improved shooting mechanics, awesome power armor, and interesting companions were just a few things that I loved about it. With my long backlog of games I normally only do one playthrough so I didn't get to see how my in-game choices affected (or didn't affect) the story therefore this element of the game had no impact on my personal enjoyment. There were things I didn't like, for instance the story and ending could have been better and the framerate was extremely poor in some areas, but I was having so much fun with the game otherwise that those things didn't make much of a difference.

Pros: Power Armor. Improved graphics/shooting mechanics from previous entry. Lots to explore. Companions are interesting. Base-building was fun (see cons).

Cons: Some missions get repetitive. The story/ending could have been better. Base building (and protecting your base from attackers!) was a great idea that was left undercooked. The framerate in some areas is unacceptable.

    Those are the only flaws.

The pluses++++ The rest of the game more than makes up for any short comings. I can't say the graphics are even bad really. We are not there yet with system power on consoles. The gameplay is enhanced above even Skyrim. Every building in the game can be entered and each location's interior is unique. The plot around the father searching for his son gets the most unpredictable turn you could imagine. Making choices is so important that anyone you make friends with will impact the story. I literally was a rat who partnered on both sides of a war. I saved at different times so I was able to prevent a war. This is the game of the year without exception. This is also my favorite game of all time. Myamotto, Kojima, and the Housers are industry leading geniuses. I think Tod Howard is the next commendable gaming developer of our time. He has made just as many hits as the other guys. Let the industry take full notice of his achievements.

Second, it's Fallout - it's always going to be fun for the people that love Fallout. The things that are nice in 4 is the small push for cooperative play and more customizations to be had in-game (be that a self-made town, weapon, etc.). The opportunities for growth remain the same: the graphics are nowhere near class-leading and there can be some bugs here and there that will irk you a bit. I still adore this game and the franchise as a whole. The Xbox One version comes with Fallout 3 as well (courtesy of backwards compatibility), so there's a much bigger value there for newcomers or those of us that like to retreat history. But for Fallout, the only way to make the game feel bigger/better is continued excellence of storytelling on top of a more immersive world, which is hard to do when you're making sacrifice after sacrifice for graphics. Bethesda really need to retool their graphics engine to really bring these wastelands to life. I mean, I can definitely deal with them as-is, but I think about what could be and I know that there are opportunities to make Fallout a perfect 10 game from nearly every perspective, but it's not quite there yet. The game is absolutely worth buying, though, and I'll probably re-tweak this review once I've spent more time with it and have completed the entire story. Expand

It's actually much more complex and allows for much more precise building of character specs. If you've only played for 5-10 hours, you also have no business leaving a review, good, bad, or otherwise. Games like this take time to develop. The story is actually quite good. Taking yourself on side missions help develop the story as a whole (even though they aren't "story related", per se). The factions take time to warm up to you, which actually makes sense because usually groups in the real world don't just bring people in and make the president. Choices you make OVER TIME impact how the game unfolds.

The crafting is a fun side project, the glitches are almost non-existent, especially in 1.03 (though they were never so bad as many people like to portray). I'm chomping at the bit to get to my next game - The Witcher 3 - but I can't put FO4 down. It's incredibly fun, wonderfully large, and extraordinarily varied in it's game play from person to person.

No game I've ever played hangs together quite like this, and say this as a fan of Fallout 3. Sure, the dialogue system is smoke-and-mirrors that falls short of the meaningful impact your chosen words had in the previous game. Yes, the loading times between indoor and outdoor sections are hugely annoying and break the immersion just a little. But otherwise, oh, that immersion - I've been voluntarily trapped in the wastelands for several months now, following every breadcrumb that leads me to a new location or mission, crafting new settlements and making sure all their inhabitants are happy, getting the platinum achievement by finishing all three storylines, wondering which of the three factions I really would have followed in real life.. Fallout 4 is a game like no other which, with better dialogue trees and no loading times, could possibly be my favourite game ever. As long as Bethesda improve on what they have to polish it up and make it even deeper, and don't just make more of the same for the inevitable Fallout 5, then I will continue to be a fan of the Fallout franchise for many years to come. Thank you, Bethesda, for a game whose length justifies the price tag many, many times over. Expand

As far as stories go, I love the main quest. The side quests, surprisingly, are even better than the main story. The companion dynamic is engaging and fun to play around with. Each companion has their own perk that they bring a long. For example, you can take a companion (Valentine) along with you to hack into computers that are below your skill level. Or, you can take a companion (Piper, I think), whose perk gives you a bump in experience points when wandering the map. This is great for getting early boosts in character level.

The crafting and inventory management take time to get used to, but once you get the hang of it, it's really engaging, especially with the weapons. It's like Borderlands on steroids, and the changes you make have a noticeable difference. On top of this, you can craft and grow resources that can be used in crafting other useful items.

It's crazy to me that even the users are getting more picky than the 'professional' reviewers. This game is really thought out and I don't know if the hype of this game let people down. I don't know what people were really expecting, but from what I can see, this game has GOTY written all over it. I'd give it a 10+ if the graphics were even slightly better.

The most amazing, immersive and overwhelming experience she ever had. See the problem is all these people, like me, who have played every entry in the series and hold unrealistic expectations of the new entry.

You want it to be everything it was, plus completely new and fresh. It's unrealistic. People keep this rabble up because it didn't take enough from Fallout: New Vegas...which wasn't a Bethesda game. I mean, are we just never satisfied? Here is a game with over 400 hours of content, and we are complaining about what it DOESN'T have.

Okay, enough ranting, based on purely technical stuff this game smashes it out of Fenway park. Graphics are gorgeous although a little plain in some places (but its a nuclear apocalypse so...yeah), the gun play has been vastly improved and the size is immense. The voice acting is some of the best I have ever heard, and main character and NPC animations are on par with Witcher 3 if not better. The cons?

Some issues with companions getting stuck, and inventory management. With the additional build feature it becomes very difficult to manage your materials. There is a perk/stat that helps this, though depending on your build may not be available for a while.

Outside of these small issues, the usual NPC hiccup or clipping, nothing outrageous. Come on people, try and lower your standards just a smidge. What came out of Bethesda is yet another rich in lore, moral dilemma of a game ripe with things to find and people to save/slaughter. It is WELL deserving of the Fallout name, and is a welcomed change from less involved open world RPG titles like Dragon Age. Don't let the trolls confuse you, 9/10. Welcome home Bethesda.

I have been spending the better part of the past three days playing it and am still completely engrossed in the game. Calling this game a disappointment is absurd. This is a Fallout game through and through. I'll admit the graphics are a little down for a next gen game, that's the only reason I'm not going full 10; but this game also does so much more than what some of the prettier titles from the past couples years have. FO4 is fun, addicting, and offers ALOT of replayability. These are what is important to me as a gamer, if they are to you, I suggest checking it out. Expand

Lots have been said about the graphics and I suppose your opinion depends on where you come from. If you just recently played for example Last of Us or Tomb Raider, then Fallout 4 is not going to impress you immensely. However, compared to Fallout 3 this is a huge step forward. It's on par with Skyrim, although Skyrim is more beautiful because it's not cluttered with nuclear waste. That being said, I wish the Fallout world would offer a bit more sunshine because when the sun is out, the wasteland doesn't seem all too bad after all. But just compare any enemy you'd like and you'll see a huge difference. And when you play, graphics doesn't really matters because the enemies are more fierce and scary looking than ever. Early on, you really don't want to be looking for conflict all too much.

The main thing I like is that the game is much more seamless than ever before. There are fewer areas that need loading times to access which makes you want to explore even more. The game overall runs smoother than expected. Not much holding you up, except hoarding behaviour... But rather it runs smooth than have excessive graphics because after a short while you're not too concerned if it could have looked better. At least I prefer not to wait a minute to enter a house (like in Skyrim after the save file grew too big).

One big new addition is building settlements and this poses the biggest ambivalence for me. It's not too difficult to build in third person mode but I'd like the option for an overhead mode as well. And to some extent this "build simulator" isn't really doing it for me all the time. I'm not convinced I really need it and it just adds to my hoarding addiction which can be a bit frustrating at times. Sure, it's down to me but the game sort of pushes me to think "I really should pick up that oil can or telephone because they contain part I might need".

Short word on the story. Haven't bothered too much. To me, the wasteland experience is building up your character to eventually deal with the big problems. You can't just go marching in and solve everything. Also, the main story isn't too appealing to me, tbh. Fallout is about making it in a hostile environment.

So all in all: this is - after 25 hours - a great game I just want to spend more time with. I want to explore, I want to meet all the interesting people and I want to become stronger.

Ooooh boy, Fallout 4. Where to start? First, I'll start with the two complaints I have. One, the game is a bit buggy in some spots. The kind of bugs that interrupt gameplay in an annoying way.Ooooh boy, Fallout 4. Where to start? First, I'll start with the two complaints I have. One, the game is a bit buggy in some spots. Not bugs as in the amusing kind where physics break and dead bodies go insane, I expected those. I mean bugs that cause the game to temporarily break and I have to reload previous saves to fix it. The kind of bugs that interrupt gameplay in an annoying way. The other is the map size, it feels smaller than 3 and New Vegas but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and chalk that one up to the fact that a lot more of the map is urban and explorable, so you still spend a good amount of time exploring all the places available. There's also a lot less trekking through empty wasteland to find locations. After all, once you find places you're going to be fast travelling to them anyways.

The dialogue system is a bit simpler, and that's fine, I don't mind it. The dialogue was never a particular point for me, and it's nice actually having a voice for the protagonist, lets me really enjoy the sarcastic replies, which I love. Gunplay is less tedious and dangerous than before, things will actually die without needing all of your ammo. Super Mutants and Deathclaws are now less tedious and more fun and exciting, because you actually have a chance against them. Well, Super Mutants eventually become more and more possible to kill, but Deathclaws were always impossible to kill. Not so, now, in fact I've killed several already, and it was a hell of a rush. Because I was actually able to kill them, staying and fighting was actually an option for me. A dumb option, but still an option. For me, the difference between 'impossible' and 'difficult but possible' is huge in terms of how much I enjoy it.

I love the crafting system, too, it lets me make all kinds of modifications for my weapons without needing to buy them. It's really nice, because junk now actually has a value in terms of the crafting parts they contain. Hell, junk is usually the thing that leaves me over-encumbered the most often, and I will literally drop weapons for more valuable junk. So you can tailor your weapons to your fighting style. You can give pistols rifle stocks if you get perks more designed for rifles, and the other way around. You can give your weapons different sights, different receivers for added damage, different magazines for higher capacity, faster reloading, or both, the list goes on, and I love it.

The story is simple, about as complex as the main stories for 3 and New Vegas. It's not a huge deal to me, I've always preferred exploring and scavenging over playing the main story. Maybe some people see that as a negative point, but I don't. Still, for those of you hoping for an epic story that changes your life, look elsewhere.

    Overall, 9/10. I love it.

The graphics I do agree could be a bit better BUT the game was made for what...7 years? The tech with games has changes significantly and so have the visuals. When making a game in that time span, the graphics are going to have adjust to meet all criteria with the game. Who knows, some of the game was used with this graphics engine and then the last parts were made with a better one. They have to find a balanced plain to exist on. I also don't know about u, but I would rather have a game filled to the brim with stuff to do than have nice graphics.(Borderlands anyone?)

Story wise, i haven't finished yet so I can't give a complete opioion about it. They are Bethesda games tho. The story is usually mehh. Wished they were better of course but at least the rest of the game is worthwhile.

The gameplay is pretty good too. They tweaked the V.A.T.S system a bit. Instead of the enemies being paused, they move in slow motion either helping your odds or hurting them. Power suits in the game are amazing and fun to use; gotta try them out yourself. Crafting is an awesome addition in the game. You can create and customize your weapons, armor, meds, chems, power suits, and more. Should I continue? You can completely craft a settlement from the ground up adding water and food, electricity, beds, defenses, etc. The Perk chart they changed too making so you don't have to wait to pick something, u can pick it right off the bat as long as your skill level is high enough. There is no level cap either or it's like 215 I believe making so if you put the time in, your character will have every perk and skill available.

All and all, this game is good. All should at least try it out for 10 hours and get a feel for it. Fiddle with everything the game has to offer and then see if you like it or not. If you're a true RPG'er, you will appreciate this game and a newcomer that is trying to get way more than 60 bucks out of a purchase. This is a massive game with tons to do. Enjoy it and stop being so butt hurt. Games this size are never perfect, cause they can't be. Trial and error. The GOTY edition of this game will be the perfect creation that all of you wanted the release of this game to be. Just you wait.

So you don't need to repair your guns anymore, what depth did that REALLY add? So the lip-syncing isn't perfect, I'd rather than improve the game overall than sink excessive money into improving one small feature that only bothers a tiny percentage of people. Graphically it's quite a pretty game. It might not impress the people who scope their guns and focus on individual textures to scrutinise at the pixel level, but for normal people, it's great.

It is nothing revolutionary but if you loved FO3/FO:NV then this is a perfect next step in the series. The exploration and world is top notch as always, best of any game Ive ever played. It also has new weapon/armor mods and the settlement building system, which I enjoy very much. As a person with slight OCD, just building the settlement and scrapping materials has kept me enthralled for several hours and Ive barely scratched the surface of the systems.

I will say this is not a game for everyone, if you are from the CoD set and love tons of action and multiplayer death match, than this is not the game for you. If you love exploration and being a total completionist but hate hours and hours of repetitive action with no depth, than you will have a hard time finding a better game than FO4.

    -Personagens saindo/ entrando no chão

Love the game so far. Large immersive open world. Lots of choices as you go through the main quest.
Playing on Ultra settings on pc and hve had zero issues with framerate drops or lag. Would have given it a 10 except I am not a huge fan of the new dialog UI.

This is a great game and worthy successor to the fallout series. No, it's not a drastic change in the series like FO3 was moving to 3D, but why would it be? Spending extensive time with Witcher III and Dragon's age this year fallout is a step above overall and there really isn't anything those games have that FO is missing. It's still fallout, if you didn't like FO3 or New Vegas - guess what, you are not going to like this game either. FO4 does have quite a few improvements and is a step forward, no, it doesn't do everything perfect, but this is a video game with real world limits on budget and timeframe for development. I am thrilled the put development into quests and the world and happy the devs allocated their limited resources there - I don't know exactly how much time I am into the game, I suspect about 70-100hrs, and I don't feel anywhere near completion of even just exploring areas.

My largest criticism is the lack of moral ambiguity. One of my favorite features of New Vegas was that you could experience the game as a "bad" character and still have a storyline and complete the game and have meaningful interactions. Even factions were a mix of morals and there wasn't really a straightforward "good" choice. With FO4 you can be a jerk, but the story and most elements play out the same. If you could choose between making settlements farmers or raiders and rise to control a huge powerful mercenary group that was your settlements would have added a neat "bad" element. The settlement control is also not the best on the console. It's manageable, but not great.

I will rate the game a 9. I am playing on PS4 and have and no serious bugs that require a restart. Sure in a perfect world the developer would have had time to improve graphics even more and add more features, (hence the 9), but FO4 is still a fantastic game - but it's just a game. Some seem like there were expecting a life-changing event. Sorry, it's just a game.

It starts slow, but once you get beyond that it's hard to put down. The quests are fun, the variety is endless, the world is vast, the story is fun, the setting and environment is exciting... Bottom line, there's a lot to like. And yes, this is an action game with strong RPG elements... don't let the reviews make you think otherwise. Pompous, arrogant children that think only they know what is good and anything else is crap to them. They love to **** and troll anyone or thing that doesn't perfectly align to their way of thinking. Giving a game a 0 because you run into some glitch on the first day of release, or because the new game didn't keep some element from the last game that you liked, or because the story doesn't speak to you on some personal level is just retarded. I went to Gamestop three times this week looking for all those copies you people said you were going to sell off and I haven't seen one used copy yet. However, it is the best possible fever you can have. What is it, exactly? Well, it's a fever you get when you are totally addicted to Fallout 4, and oh man...I can almost guarantee you'll get this condition when you play this game. Fallout 4 bursts with many things to love and no--the game is in no way perfect, and it did NOT live up to the massive hype behind it (in fact, there really was no way this game could have lived up to that towering hype). But oh man, I cannot deny that this game is an amazingly good time.

Fallout 4 has a very good start, mainly because it sucks you into its world in many ways. In this start, it also presents a much greater focus on story compared to 3 and New Vegas. The story also gets better as it goes on up until the third act. The third act is sadly a disappointment in most areas, which will be touched on later. What also contributes to the greater focus on story is the 4 factions you can join, which is my favorite new addition to the Fallout franchise. The 4 factions are all very different and worth doing new playthroughs to experience all their uniqueness, especially in the third act. Except the Minutemen. F*ck the Minutemen. There is one thing about the story in the game that I do HIGHLY dislike. That is the dialogue wheel. I highly prefer the old Fallout conversations. I'm not going to go on a rant on the dialogue wheel 'cause you've probably heard so many. You get the point. However, I will say that the dialogue between the characters is well-written and clever, even if the voice acting isn't too great. Touching on the graphics, it's pretty inconsistent. At times, the game can look borderline gorgeous. At other times, it can look very sub-par. Fallout 4 also has many changes into turning the game into more of a shooter than an RPG, which can be both good and bad. Even though the shooting was fun and engaging and strategic in 3 and New Vegas, it was pretty slow and boring at times. With 4, though, the shooting feels better than ever, but it still contains the classic Fallout shooting feel. When it's at its best, it's wildly fun. Plus, the gore is always entertaining. However, when the shooter mechanics outweigh the RPG ones, the RPG ones can feel pretty watered-down and pathetic and lazy. I won't go as far to say that Fallout is now a full-blown 100% shooter, but come in expecting to play more of a shooter than an RPG. You can't talk about Fallout 4 without talking about its giant, engaging, and awesome open-world. It is so unique. I honestly think this is Bethesda's best map that they have crafted. However, it's not perfect. A lot of the content in the game can feel like dead weight, which is disappointing coming from Fallout. Let's talk about the third act now with no spoilers. The third act of the game is totally different depending on which faction you are in. The previous 2 acts of the game felt so great and inspired. It was honestly one of the best campaigns I've played in awhile. Then it goes to the third act...which is pretty boring. The satisfying and faction-different endings don't make up for that, either. Another flaw with this game is the companions. Rarely are they ever very helpful and managing them is a complicated pain. As I said before, this game is incredibly addicting and entertaining, which is the best part of this game. I loved building my character and just exploring this world. The settlement building in the game is brand new, and personally, it didn't appeal to me much. I can definitely see some being hooked by this expansive option, though. I feel Bethesda could've done more to appeal to the ones like me that aren't really attracted by building and expressing my imagination in games. As many flaws as there are in this game, the positives often outweigh them. It is just so easy to get hooked on this game. I have adopted a new way of rating games from my friend, and it will work great with this game. Here it is

I've always been a fan of Bethesda games, especially Fallout 3. But every time a game of theirs comes out, I had always encountered really bad problems with them, such as a lack of free roam warning for Fallout 3's ending (seriously???) and those backward flying dragons in Skyrim (that was downright embarrassing). I've heard some pretty legitimate complaints about Fallout 4 from pretty much most sources. I can only speak for myself however, when I will state that in my 60+ hours of playing this game, I have yet to find a single game-breaking glitch.

Let's talk about the reasons why people hate this game...but wait, I believe it can all be summed up into one fat ugly word: hypocrisy. They hate it because it's too familiar to its predecessors. But they also hate it because it's not enough change to the franchise. So which one is it? What were you honestly expecting or hoping for when you made your purchase?

Changes made include: more streamlined, linear level up progression trees, weapons that actually shoot where you aim (which I must admit makes VATS kind of pointless), dialogue system similar to that of Mass Effect (only not as good), weapons that don't break, a new "settlements" mode that I spent countless hours having fun with, being able to craft weapon and armor mods, chemicals/medicine and food (similar to Skyrim), a branching story, radiation damaging your max health, being able to play arcade clones on your pip boy or computer, and the power armor.

I think MOST of those changes are NECESSARY for the series to evolve in the right direction. Notice how I say most, not all.

Things that weren't changed were: muddy graphics (they are still better than 3 though), character models look the same, most enemies look EXACTLY the same, the pip boy works the same way, the map (which is disappointingly small IMO).

I've read complaints about people criticizing the game for "not feeling like Fallout" and you know what: I like that. It only means Bethesda is trying to do new things for the series so that it doesn't become stale. Regardless of whether you think they have succeeded or failed, is your opinion. I just appreciate the different feel to it. It can feel more like a shooter than an RPG though, due to the gunplay and linear RPG elements. I believe the Mass Effect sequels suffered the same fate though. I actually think it kind of feels like Borderlands. No complaints, I LOVE Borderlands.

I just think the reason why this is getting a lot of hate is because of the hype. Kill all hype in gaming and you will start to appreciate what games have to offer in content. Unless that game is in fact a complete pile of crap. This is not a perfect game, and the appeal may wear off for me in a couple weeks but it is by no means garbage. You want to know what garbage feels like? Play Bound by Flame or Assassin's Creed Unity. New Vegas was actually closer to broken garbage at launch than this game currently is. Perhaps you should stop playing Fallout if your standards are that high then.

I realize the dialogue system has been very watered down, and sometimes you don't even know what your character is going to say when you choose what to say. I agree that that aspect of the game was completely botched in Fallout 4.

I also realize that the new "workshop"aspect of the game that allows you to build communities, build structures, assign jobs, create supply lines, and create defenses is kind of pointless ultimately. It's just sort of there and sometimes the game's story even makes you develop these communities to advance the plot.

I also agree that the main storylines and the side quests are probably the weakest of the three open-world, first/third person Fallout games thus far.

BUT, but but but but but...

...To me this is still a good Fallout game. I feel like the shooting mechanics are the best they've ever been in the series. The slow-motion version of V.A.T.S. is even cooler than the version in F3, and F:NV.

The graphics are as good as they've ever been. For example, you can actually see the trees bending in the wind, there are radiation storms, and other subtle touches that make the world seem more "alive" in Fallout 4 compared to previous games. Also, unlike Fallout 3 or New Vegas, there is a dialogue camera that makes the conversations your character has seem a bit more.....dynamic.

It's a great game as far as I'm concerned. It's probably tied with The Witcher 3 as my favorite Ps4 game. I'll admit I'm totally biased when I give it a 9, but something about roaming the wastes in these games really appeals to me.

I like the solitude and I like having it shattered frequently.

Yes, this game is very similar to previous Fallout iterations, but it is Fallout. If you expected something different than you need to reset your expectations.
As far as FPS drops and performance, I think in the 70 hours I have put in so far I have noticed 1 time it has dipped below 60 FPS, and it was for maybe 3 seconds. Please consider HOW HUGE THIS GAME is when you start taking about performance hits in very small percentages.
In full transparency, I have not progressed down the main story line with all the hours I have put in so far, but the additional story elements that I have encountered side questing have been interesting and compelling.
Outside of Witcher 3, this will be the title that I will spend the most time on this year going into next year.

I really enjoyed Fallout 3 and NV so was looking forward to this game.......I was not disappointed!

I have noticed a lot of complaints about bugs, frame-drops etc but never experienced a single one of either. Never had to re-load a save, never got stuck on terrain and never noticed the framerate dropping. I have to wonder if PC users have been spamming the console reviews or something.

This was my experience and I'm not claiming that the game contains none of these things, just that I didn't experience any, and I was everywhere!

If you liked F3 and NV then buy this game

A strong return for the franchise, boasting incredible customisation, a fascinating world and brutal yet brainy shooting, slightly tarnished by lacklustre AI and tedious inventory management. [Christmas 2015, p.88]

Feral Ghoul ugly in many ways, but beneath its iffy exterior beats the heart of one helluva great RPG. Get past the graphics deficiency, and the sheer thrill of Fallout 4’s combat, crafting options, and exploring will hold your attention for months. [January 2015, p64]

Fallout 4 leans to the Shooting side of things. It strips down the gameplay from the actual RPG elements and offers a meta-nuclaer shooting gallery which of course keep its charm and gameplay wealth but also feels a little too friendly for the new comers. The Base builder mode is unnecessary, boring and irritating. Unfortunately, overall, there are no steps forward for this Nuclear Holocaust Behemoth of the video games industry. Only steps sideways.
