You won't get the full experience just by playing through it once. This is one of the best graphically great looking games during the PS4 console generation. Yes this game is a big racial allegory and depends on how you receive how it betrays the message. Every main character can live or die depending on your choices.… Expand

    Holy wow. Detroit become human is the best game I’ve ever played. This graphics are beautiful, the visuals are amazing, the characters are very memorable and everything is unique. No matter how many years pass, this game has a truly special place in my heart.

    You feel that the decisions you make affect the story.
    The characters and story are pretty good.
    The graphics are amazing
    The game gives you suspense and in some places very good fear.

    So far this is my favorite Quantic Dream game since I last played Heavy rain. As usual, they told an amazing story, and Connor was really badass, loved him! :D

One missing thing ( ATTENTION imho) is: during gameplay I didn’t notice any aggressive humans behavior directed to other humans (ok some “human” characters had small verbal altercations, but nothing more). I mean there is no hate to any social group, no “race” problems and etc. It seems like people can feel animosity only to droids. In world of Detroit all people’s conflicts were vanished.     Ignore the hate-reviews with a personal agenda against David Cage, there is no way in h*ll that this game is a 4/10. Not even Mighty Number 9 is a 4/10 lol. The story and writing in Detroit is good enough for a game (I loved it personally) and probably better than the story in 9

    What an absolute journey this is! I got my PS5 this year and despite always having a PS4, I had never got around to Detroit: Become Human, with the excitement of having a PS5, I got PS Plus and found that Detroit was included for free with this subscription so felt like a sign almost that I need to play the game.

    Story - I will avoid spoiler territory of course but I have never seen a    What an absolute journey this is!     Story - I will avoid spoiler territory of course but I have never seen a game have this many branches in how it can play out. I felt very attached to our main 3 characters in Marcus, Kara and Connor as well as their individual journeys. Each of the actors who brought them to life did an amazing job and I truly was behind them the whole way. There are certain moments in the game where you need to use quick time events and doing something incorrectly enough times could lead to an outcome you don't want, and making any kind of mistake while doing these quick time events filled me with so much anxiety and that was because I truly cared about getting the best possible result for these characters, I cared that much. My only real complaint from this is that while Marcus and Kara had a goal I was behind, Connor was pretty much the opposite of what they and I wanted, and because of the conflict between these, I found it hard to play as Connor just because his ambitions didn't match those of the other two that I agreed with. Not a big problem, just something that I felt left me failing some of Connor's "missions" whereas I could've passed should I have done what the game wanted me to do. Outside of the story, just the world itself is incredible, I love how they tackle some pretty serious issues using their story elements as a way to do so, it is so interesting just to look around at everything.

    Graphics and Performance - Its hard to deny that this is easily one of the more beautiful games you will see, even just the faces of each character, so much detail is in them and you can easily detect when certain characters might be feeling a certain way based on their expressions. The overall look and design of the world is outstanding too. As for performance, I didn't have any major issues aside from one crash and some framerate problems when the game started to have some more action oriented scenes, it was a little irritating just because you had to make some quick time event moves here that led to some bad outcomes if you failed, but other than that it was fine.

    Music - A very beautiful soundtrack can be found here and if you have played games like Heavy Rain or Beyond: Two Souls then you will know already how much care and attention is put into the music that goes with the story and world, it is pulled off really well here, maybe not as memorable as Heavy Rain but still some truly amazing scores that hit real hard during the more intense moments of the game.

    Replayability - Just a little side section here but the branching paths for the story are pretty incredible, after each chapter you are shown this huge tree of branching storylines that indicate where it could've gone, yet they leave those blank as to encourage replayability. I will say that I am not currently interested in going back and playing the game again, mainly due to me having plenty of other games to play, but for those of you who do want to have a game where so many outcomes are possible, this is the game for you. I went on Reddit after finishing the game and just had so much fun reading over other people's story outcomes. There are cases where main characters die quite early on and it is wild to see how these events could happen differently to my own. I am mostly satisfied with the ending I received, I feel that the game truly had consequences based on the decisions I made which is a great thing.

    Final Review - I enjoyed this game so much that I would very much be down for a tv series based on this world, or even a set of novels. There is so much more to this that I want to explore and learn. Throughout the whole game we learn about a war between the US and Russia but it isn't the focus point of the story, just a side thing you can read about on various magazine articles, but there is clearly a lot that can be taken from this idea and put into something else. This game is highly recommended from me, especially if you really enjoy story based games like this.    … Expand

    Com certeza é um dos melhores jogos que a sony já fez, provavelmente um dos melhores jogos de escolhas.     Wow. Detroit Become human is an indescrivible experience. David Cage is a incredible director and the Quantic Dream team is fantastic. Detroit become human has three main characters: Connor, Markus and Kara, all of them are written with an incredible fantasy and accuarcy. The final is very amazing.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Overall it's a great game and fun to play. But I wish you had more of a choice to root for the robots or against them. And the little girl shouldn't be discovered as a robot and should have been a human instead. That really sucked when I found that out. It's like the robots can always tell each other but for some reason she couldn't detect the child was one? And it was silly that lieutenant ended up rooting for the robots.

    It's a good game and normally I don't play story sorts of games. You have so many choices in what you can do and each mission has multiple outcomes affecting how things play out giving the game a huge amount of replay-ability. A couple of things that really annoyed me is the girl turning out to be a robot! That seriously did kill that part of the story for me. It would have been far more interesting if the girl was human. The fact she is not is almost like you wanted it to be human but then shoe horned in at the last second that she's a robot.
    Another thing I didn't like is how lieutenant becomes to like the robots even know he clearly despised them. Wouldn't it be better if you had a choice in this? Like if you show no emotion then he hates robots but if you get along with him he continues to hate them? He shot you in the face and then next minute he's trying to stop you killing them? That really didn't make sense to me. If there is a way to keep him against them then I apologise but I did try and get that outcome but didn't manage to.
    I found it weird that headshots kill robots but the nurse women had nothing in her head? And also at 1 point you get shot in the head and die slowly but then in the interview room a headshot is immediate.
    Nothing major but a bit inconsistent.

    The controls aren't bad but I felt movement at times was a bit slow. Like when your looking for the robot hideout Jericho (How ever it's spelt) and you are forced to walk around really slowly. Would have be nice to have more of a fast walk or slow run. It was like this at a few times where movement felt to slow for what you were doing.

    I liked the horror sort of parts of the game like the junkyard or the house with the crazy robot and sadly I wish there were more parts like this but instead we only got 3.
    More crazy evil deviants would have be cool aswell but instead 90% of them were friendly or atleast the ones we seen but I feel like if they were inslaved then more of them would rebel with force and not peacefully.

    If you haven't played this game yet I recommend you check it out if you are into sci fi sorts of stuff. Its on PS Now aswell allowing you to stream it on PC if you don't own a playstation.    … Expand

    This is a really amazing video game. The writing and acting are superb and the fact that you get to make so many decisions that affect the way the story plays out makes Detroit Become Human one of the most immersive games out there.

    As a person who mostly plays multiplayer shooters all the time, this story felt really different. The fact that every decision could impact the ending of the whole story really puts more pressure on the decisions you make. Though most of the game is just pushing and pulling your joystick in weird ways and swiping through magazines with the touchpad, this game was a nice change. The best graphs I've already seen in a game, and a story that you can change with every single action you perform. You going to play 3 completely different characters, Markus (revolutionary), Connor (investigation) and Kara (social), and their stories are intricate somehow, that they will cross each other story line in some point of the game. It is amazing the construction of each character and how you can change completely the destiny of them while playing. For instance, you can finish the Kara story line at her 3rd chapter-scene (She can have a total of 11 chapters). I appreciated this game so much that I started to play another game from it developer - Quantic Dream - Beyond Two Souls, and already purchased also Heavy Rain. I played 3 times the game and found different "ends" for all characters the 3 times I've played. I marked with quotes the "ends" because your options during the game don't shape just the "end" of the story of each character, but all their performance.

    Pros - If you like:
    - Deep story games, play this;
    - Decision make/results games, play this;
    - Outstanding graphs, play this;
    - Deep intricate relations between characters, play this;
    - Play for hours the same game, play this;
    - Play a game casually and don't spent so many time, play this;
    - If you want to control every step of a character in a game, play this;
    - If you like many options of endings, play this; and
    - If you like good play lists, play this.

    Cons:
    It was really hard to find a single Cons for this game, but I would say that is a great challenge to remain all important characters alive until the end of the game, specially without the guidance of a walkthrough.    … Expand

    I, for one, really liked the game. Not only are the graphics top-notch (in general, I care more about the story than about the graphics, anyway), but there is also a huge number of (sometimes quite hard!) choices you can make that affect your story in often unexpected ways. The game doesn't take either side of the conflict, but instead invites the player to draw their own conclusions and build their own opinion about the issues that are addressed in the game, which I really welcomed.

    After each mission I played, and of course after finishing the game for the first time, I always reflected and thought about the choices I made. There were situations where I genuinely regretted making a specific choice, as well as situations where I made a good choice and felt relieved. All in all, it's a very emotional game (which is a good thing for me).

    I wholeheartedly recommend this game to anyone who likes this genre and is interested in technological themes. I can tell that the developers put a lot of effort and thought into the making of this game, which is quite rare for a game nowadays, so that is a huge plus for me as well. Hopefully there will be more games like this in the future. It's a true and well-deserved 10/10!

    I've never liked a choice based game due to the tedious process, no clear impact on your choices and no action at all but not for this game. This game create way more impactful choices as you can see it right away the cause of your choices. The performance of the Voice Actor is phenomenal. They perfectly represent every emotional and intense situation in the game.

    My personal favorite is the arc of Connor as you can do lot of things like investigation, a lot of action and negotiation for sure.

    My only complaint for this game is about the clarity of your choices which tend leads you to a negative situation without you intended to. For example: The word "determined" in every choices seems like a positive one but if you play the game you know how "determined" always ruined the situation and your relationship with each characters in the game.

    Other than that, it's an amazing game and have a very high replayability as well. Must try.    … Expand

    Detroit is a really good game. I love that it is a pure story game. The fact that your choices matter this much is also amazing. The game was written too well. The 3 different stories that come together in the end are amazing. I loved the protagonists as i felt sorry for them, i really got to understand them and their emotions.

The animation and motion capture are so realistic that at time is feels creepy. The story didn’t end as well as I hope (happy ending) but it did end in a realistic way.     DETROIT: BECOME HUMAN is a wonderful game with an intriguing storyline and cast of characters. Changing from one character to the next kept things interesting, and I liked how each one had a unique objective and personality. To see the various endings for each character, this game offers a high amount of replay value.

In this game, there aren't numerous aspects I could criticize.     Das Spiel ist ein absolutes Kunstwerk. Schwierige moralische Entscheidungen müssen unter Zeitdruck getroffen werden, während sich Story und Charaktere tiefgründig entfalten. Dieses Spiel regt zum Nachdenken über wichtige Themen an und wird den Spielenden sehr lange im Gedächtnis bleiben (8/10).

    The mocap and graphics are, to this day, totally jaw-dropping. New games coming out nowadays by AAA companies don't look this good. It's almost breathtaking.
    Connor and Hank, I must say, absolutely carry this game. Their chapters are exciting, their dynamic is fantastic, and their relationship (depending on what choices you make) is so worth exploring.
    Kara and Alice's sections are heartfelt and meaningful, though they contribute little to the overall plot.
    Marcus' sections for me dip ever so slightly, just because his chapters feel long and a little boring compared to Connor's. That's not to take away from what is an incredible game, with honestly endless replayability. It's addictive and exciting and I hope we see a sequel in the future!    … Expand

    I really enjoyed my experience with this game. It’s unique and gripping. I think anyone could easily enjoy this and leave satisfied once the credits start rolling.

    Un jeu avec une incroyable narration, un univers futuriste incroyablement réaliste, tout les personnages sont attachant et les différents choix ont de réels conséquence sur les fins possibles.
    Le seul bémol est le gameplay quasi inexistant mail il est de moindre importance sur ce jeu.

Я не буду говорить о вещах что это самый обычный сюжет про бедных роботов которые являются рабами , я другое хочу сказать . Для меня странно что в сюжете много дыр Роботы почему-то чувствую боль когда их бьют , Конор может стать девиантном за 1 шаг , Алиса является роботом ( это единственный ребёнок робот в игре ) Само первое прохождение игры интересное , я проходил , чтобы детроиты победили . Но тут я получил концовку , что детроиты захватили город и готовы направляться дальше , что завтра будет настоящая битва иииии …. Это конец игры , да , битвы не будет . После этого меня конкретно бомбануло и я такой : « а нах это все » . И в самой игре много дыр из за разных концовок . Мне повезло , ведь я сделал такую историю без дыр , но посмотрев истории других я понял , что мне просто повезло . Хотите купить игру , покупайте , но если вам не повезёт с концовкой , то вы больше не захотите в неё играть… Expand

    I played this game when it came out on ps now in March 2021. And i tried to play it again and i can't lie i couldn't get through it. Horrendous i mean laughably bad acting and poorly written characters manages to rival Beyond Two Souls and Make Heavy Rain look like Shakespeare.

    This is a masterpiece. We all know this by now. The story is beautifully crafted and is definitely the best work out out by it’s developer, Quantic Dream. The story is very heartfelt and definitely relates to real world issues. The game challenges your morals and it succeeds at this very well. The motion capture is nearly flawless and the actor’s really gave it their all.

    The pacing is quite awful in this game in some areas. Some chapters are painfully slow. However the choice variety is excellent. Dialogue is sometimes hit or miss. The overall story and situations the player finds themselves in is pretty great as well.

    Ok... esse com certeza é o melhor jogo já feito de todos os tempos!!! Entre todas as plataformas, entre todos os consoles, até mesmo em outras dimensões esse seria considerado o melhor jogo de todos!

    The story is one of the best I've played in years and the the option to easily go back and chose a different option make the game incredibly repayable. The graphics are near lifelike and combined with the brilliant music it just make the game feel epic
    Bad I found my self disinterested in the beginning of Kara's story as although it's emotionally charged its not at the same level of gameplay and epicness as conner and markus's storys    … Expand

Мне бы, например, очень интересно было бы узнать, как там троица в Канаде новую жизнь строит. Или что там с Коннором и его отношениями с Хэнком, но этого всего нет. Додумывать мне не хочется, я хочу увидеть мысли сценаристов по этому поводу. Обидно. Но твердая семерка, три балла отнял только за несколько лорных дыр, краткость и неполную раскрытость персов.… Expand

    This is the most touching game I have ever played, topping Halo: Reach. I shivered while playing Cara's story which tops any other medium such as audio, movie, etc. As a person that has faced such things like all of the 3, I call this game the best in its genre, possibly in the platform as a whole.

    This is one of the best pieces of branching narrative I have ever experienced. The story and different paths are top-notch. That said, if good gameplay is a must, then I'd skip this. There isn't much of that here. This game is everything it appears to be delivered at a high quality rate. If you want a branching narrative game, I couldn't recommend this more.

    Detroit: Become Human delivers a story with a ton of possible choices, and a lot of questions for a player to bear afterward. If you like it when games make you think about them after you play them, this is the game for you. Stunning visuals and music score, make you forget about some weaker points of the game. But all in all, it is an enjoyable experience you should not miss.

While it’s commendable that Quantic Dream tried to cover hot-button issues in a big-budget video game, it works better when focused on the personal character moments than the bigger themes that don’t dig deep enough to make a meaningful impact.
