    Great game with a very compelling story. Yes, the gameplay is mostly pushing buttons and quicktime events, but people complaining about this are missing the point. The "game" in this is not the pushing of the buttons, but choosing how the story develops and trying to keep the characters you love alive. It is a different kind of narrative gameplay.

    This game does the narrative and characters as well as any game I have played in the genre. The choices you make are actually meaningful, and there are very different outcomes. Unlike some games in the genre, where the story enda up the same, the only difference being who is alive. I definitely felt close to the characters, and you can really play them in very different ways: totally pacifist or terrorist? Totally by the book law abiding, or liose cannon cop? The chouce is yours, and the story actually dramatically changes for it!

    I really recommend this game for fans of the genre. If you are bothered by it being an interactive story, don't bother with this one either, although this game is the best in its genre, so perhaps give it a chance.    … Expand

    David Cage macht bei diesem Spiel wieder eine gute Performance. Es fühlt sich mehr wie ein Heavy Rain. Trotzdem wird das Potenzial nicht ganz ausgereizt. Da hatte ich schlussendlich mit Heavy Rain mehr Vergnügen. Was man Detroit allerdings sehr zu gute heißen kann ist die Steuerung. Sie ist immernoch schwammig, aber eben nicht mehr so schwammig wie bei den Vorgänger-Spielen.

    Detroit: Become Human is unique in terms of replayability, graphics and depth of the story. I have played every single David Cage's game, and this one is the most splendid one. Furthermore, Detroit feels very easy to play, and the story with all the different options is very predictable, which kinds of sucks at some point. Nonetheless, I am delighted that Sony still cares about PS4 andDetroit: Become Human is unique in terms of replayability, graphics and depth of the story. I have played every single David Cage's game, and this one is the most splendid one. Furthermore, Detroit feels very easy to play, and the story with all the different options is very predictable, which kinds of sucks at some point.     This game is one of QD's best work the scenarios with multiple paths are the best part of Detroit and I look forward to each one. Still the game is far from perfect with some linear scenarios only having one outcome in the end but I still look forward to replaying it and seeing some of the things I missed on my first playthrough.

    There is so much to talk about with this game. I love the way it tells a story from 3 different characters. Kara's story is very dramatic and touching and Connor's story is just absolutely incredible. But, Markus's line was a little bit forced and he wasn't that much of an interesting character.     Something like 7.8

    The locations are the best thing on this game, you really fell you re in that world. I have mixed feelings with the story, you can lead to in depth plots or just shallow finals. The start can be a little boring.

After Beyond: Two Souls, I was worried Quantic Dreams had started to collapse under David Cage's massive ego, however, after playing this game, I happy to report that- despite David Cage's ever-present ego- Detroit: Become Human delivers on an engaging, albeit familiar and somewhat silly, but largely entertaining plot.

    Set in the not too distant future, where androids and advanced technology have become the norm, Detroit follows the story of three androids, Conner, Kara, and Markus, in the respective quests of self-discovery, hope, and a better future. Each character is incredibly well acted, with Markus being potentially the most charismatic, though Conner's personality and mannerisms may come off as unintentionally amusing. Each character's path is entirely up to you and will have varying outcomes depending on the choices you make. For example, Markus could be a violent revolutionary, putting android lives above humans, or he can be more compassionate seeking peace and compromise, or you could make Conner the cold, calculating machine he was designed to be, or you could give him the opportunity to question is purpose and how he wants to really fit into the the world around him. At the end of each level, the choices you made are presented via flowchart and suffice it to say, of the eight hours I've put into the game, I've never seen so many branching paths, possible choices, and varying outcomes. This is not a Telltale game where the plot is diamond-shaped, deviating from the start point as it nears the middle and then slowly return to a single point at the end. No two people will have the same playthrough their first time around.

    The supporting cast mostly delivers, the stands out being Clancy Brown as Det. Anderson and Lance Henrikson as Carl, but some performances may come off as a bit over the top or just plain flat. The worst performance probably comes from Alice, the little girl Kara watches over. After witnessing an amazing performance from Sunny Suljic as Atreus in God of War, Alice comes off as entirely wooden and incredibly underwhelming.

    Gamplay-wsie, it's no different from any other QD game. It's an interactive film, with you tilting the directional stick to interact with the world and QTE-filled set pieces for the "big moments". The game does come with a higher difficulty level which requires more precise controls and forces the game to no longer hold your hand and make decisions quickly and effectively or you WILL end up losing characters by the end- would not recommend on a first playthrough.

    Now the game is not perfect- again it's a Quantic Dream game. It has it's share of plot holes, is incredibly short, and is there more to stroke David Cage's ego as an "auteur" than deliver a valid message, but overall, if you enjoyed Indigo Prophecy, Heavy Rain, and want to wash the taste of Beyond: Two Souls out of your mouth, give this game a try. I'm already about to start a second playthrough with a whole new path for each character in mind, and I'm incredibly excited to explore all the possibilities this weaving narrative has to offer.    … Expand

    I like the idea of different passes through the game. It gives me a good impression of true "choices and consequences". The rest (graphics, mechanics, quality) are simply great.

    But everything else is flawless. Art style is great, very accurate attention to small details. Acting, graphics, animations, OST - all this    Thats definitely not 10 out of 10.     Introduction: After multiple showings and demonstrations at E3 about the vast branching choice that Detroit: Become Human was going to offer, Quantic Dream latest game has finally come out. Will this choose your own adventure drama lives up to its E3 promises or will this game be thrown in the android scrap yard?

    Story: This game follows three androids named Markus, Kara, and Connor. Markus story follows him starting a revolution to give the same rights to android as humans have. Kara has to protect a little girl that as to go on the run due to her abusive father. Last but not least, Connor is a prototype detective that is working on a case of why androids are suddenly having empathy and acting like humans. These stories eventually cross paths as more twist and turns unveil within the story. This story has a lot of good moment when playing as Connor or Kara but I always felt that Markus story and his line performance came off as a bit cheesy. Markus story is filled with clichés and moment that just feel a bit forced. With that being said, the story as a whole is engaging and fun for the whole 10 hour run time. You will get an interesting outlook on the story too if you decide to play it more than once with different choices, which I would highly recommend.

    Gameplay: This game is your standard choose dialog adventure game with QTE moments thrown in for the action scenes. Normally, I despise QTE’s but in this game, they really work since characters can be killed off at almost any moment of the game, giving a sense of every encounter being intense. Most choices are meaningful due to the fact that the story can branch off in so many ways. Once every chapter is completed, you get to see a flow chart of all the choices you could have made and it really gives a sense of scope on how many options you do have in this game. My only problem with this is Markus choices don’t have much difference in outcome due to how integral his part is in the story. Even when killed off, he is just replaced with his female counterpart and the story continues without your involvement. His most important choice, if you keep him alive, is that he can choose to protest peacefully or violently. This is easily fixed due to the other 2/3 of the game not having this issue. The gameplay, for the most part, is top notch and has multiple paths for you to explore in multiple playthroughs.

    Technical: I say this about almost every Sony game, but the statement still holds true. Top-notch graphics, the characters and the city of Detroit look so good, it was almost like watching a live action movie. A masterful soundtrack with a few forgettable songs here or there. No glitches or presentation issues present while playing. A technical masterpiece on every level.

    Verdict: Detroit: Become Human definitely live up to the E3 demo for having crazy amounts of branch storylines. The game can be a bit cheesy but still offers a fun time through the world of Detroit. This game sets a new bar for choose your own adventure games and I hope to see something come along that can use the Detroit formula and make something even better.

    Amazing game from start to finish! It got me intrigued in the story and made me care for the characters. The only negatives are that the game is rather short. But this game made me feel things that I’ve never felt before playing a game and I loved playing it.

    Great story, great graphics, fantastic animation, and good charathers and almost felt relatable what reality was back then. QuantumDream has done it again. Almost feel like playing a movie but it has great connections to what the characters are going through and how they feel about it. There were few parts of the game that felt a little boring but it has it moments.

    I still personally prefer most Telltale style narratives, but I'd be lying if I said I'm not enjoying almost every second of Detroit: Become Human. Fantastic visuals and storytelling.

    Plus your choices actually matter, so that's a plus

    Fantastic story, I became very attached to most of the characters and the huge decisions would actually stress me out because I loved the characters so much. Every action or word spoken will truly influence your outcome. Graphic wise, the game looks stunning.     Good game! Overall, I enjoyed it really much and already reach Platinum Trophy. The greatest feature of this game is the story branches. There are really plenty of options or alternatives. It has massive flowcharts overall. The flowchart system is a great move from Quantic Dreams, smart move! I never found it in other games that have the same genre like this one. I found it often too clear between good and bad choices, between positive/negative choices. I think we need a "grey" choice in order to make the player's feeling more connected to the in game story itself. For instance, The witcher 3 story. I found no good or bad choices from TW3, there are only choices and its consequences. TW3 often makes me feel dilemma whenever I faced some choices. I would give this a 10 if it weren't for the minor plot holes or poor character development in some points through out the game presented some times throughout the game and a couple of unnecessary things, but otherwise the game is the pinnacle performance of David Cage and Quantic Dream. First, the near future setting about AI being an everyday thing is logical and something that could actually happen in real life. And the point of view of AI awakening is interesting compared to other movies, games with the same situation. Then, let's talk about how well the game handles each choice of dialogue and action you make throughout the game. Each choice you make affects the path that lies ahead of you whether it's shooting or sparing an enemy, to be aggressive or compassionate, or choosing the relationship you'll develop with companions and allies, each option affects something present or something yet to come. The characters each have their own tone and unique storylines that distinguish each other significantly, and the game at one point joins them together perfectly. The story overall is very well handled and engaging to be merged with the many, many possible outcomes. The flowchart shows the path chosen in a certain chapter and the paths you could've done, adding loads of replay value and guaranteeing you going back to look at at least a few other alternative paths.

    Detroit has an overall very good story, great main characters (not to mention the perfect acting), and beautiful soundtrack. I really enjoyed the game and I grew close to the main and side characters. The game is emotional, engaging and fun to play, making it my 2nd favorite 2018 game behind God of War (not far behind).     The Playability is good, interactive but still good
    The Graphics are well done. the futuristic Detroit seemed just good.
    The Sound, is good enough.
    The Story and the writing are very good, the path branching, and choices are very interesting.
    The Characters are lovable, you feel, empathy, anger, sadness with and for them, and that's a very good job from the team.

    It was good.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Overall a very polished game and compelling story with the usual niggles for this style of game.

    The work that went into the facial animations and voice acting have really paid off as this never once strayed into the "uncanny valley" for me. The graphics, environments, acting and animations really are top notch and deserve to be recognised as such.

    The story (or stories, following three android characters) kept me hooked from start to finish, though the two endings I've achieved so far didn't quite hit me as hard as I'd hoped - and I think this is because I struggled to bond with the characters.

    The confusion for me comes with the idea that I'm playing the role of androids - but the whole basis of the story is that they have developed their own desires and feelings. BUT I'm a human, and as a human I felt conflicted between wanting to make choices as I imagine an android would, and projecting my own human interests to steer the story how I, as a human, would want things to go.

    This was particularly an issue with Connor, whose initial job is to shut down "deviant" androids before they start a violent uprising. I initially played Connor as I imagined he would be: a ruthless hunter who doesn't let anything stand in the way of his objectives. Though this felt right to me in line with the character, I was making choices which I disagreed with morally - which made his path feel "right" but not necessarily satisfactory.
    By contrast when I took a second run through I played him as I would a human, which had a more satisfying storyline but felt out of character and somehow wrong.

    The progression from obedient to deviant isn't a subtle change which builds over time but a sudden flip of a switch triggered by a trauma. A malfunction rather than a growth in identity. There's no sense of "oh heck I never realised I've been acting out of character for a while now" - it's "system error: you're a real boy now".

    This conflict rather soured the game for me - though perhaps that's the point the game is driving at: what is human? The fact that androids are living beings was taken a little too much for granted though, and I'd have liked some more doubt to be sown throughout for the player.

    There were also some situations drawn from slavery and genocide which were handled quite bluntly. Not to say these weren't valid comparisons, but they caused some raised eyebrows for me at some points with the way they were delivered. Bearing in mind that the androids can be cleanly deactivated by removing their core or wiping their memory, was the brutality towards the end of the game for anything more than shock value? In a way the "clean" deaths could have been much more chilling if framed properly. A reset and return to slavery is almost as cruel as the death camps the story decided to progress to.

    Aside from this there's also the usual frustrations which still haven't been addressed in this type of game:

    Button prompts for actions which really don't need player input. I know this is to keep things feeling interactive but I'd much rather you decide whether you want to have long non-interactive scripted sections or make the effort to create more meaningful interactions for players. If you're going to make me tilt the controller to pour a cup of coffee at least make me have to tip it gently or it gets thrown over the floor. I yanked the controller like I was drifting a car and the coffee was poured perfectly.

    Conversation options with obscure descriptions. Again, when I'm forced to make a decision under pressure I don't want to be spending half of the five seconds I'm allowed trying to work out the difference between "truth" and "sincere". In a game which makes player choice so pivotal to the experience I need to know what I'm choosing at all times.

    Overall though I enjoyed my time playing and would recommend to people who enjoy these types of games. The freedom to look through the timeline and replay certain events instead of having to start from the very beginning to try different options is also greatly appreciated - and the amount of choices and consequences is very impressive.

    If the goal was to create conversation about what it means to be alive, it's certainly achieved that. Having finished this story I still don't know.    … Expand

However the graphics gameplay storylines and emotion is enough to keep you coming back for more. some of the choices don't make sense. i love the fact that your thrown into situations that until your in them you don't know how to respond.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I have played all of David Cages games from Heavy Rain and Beyond Two Souls and now to Detroit. Detroit Become Human has interesting characters, Kara, Connor and Markus each has their own personalities and the new schematic theme after each level is played to see where you are and what you did to achieve the outcome is a good touch. The graphics are relatively good though not great. I understand the game is a noir but it is just a bit too dark. I also think that some of the subject matter that Cage tries to address is out of his realm of understanding. The basic story line pits humans against androids, and while Cage tries to hit on some pretty deep subjects such as slavery, civil rights, civil war, human rights I think he really misses the mark.Setting the game in the US city of Detroit Michigan is also problematic. Cage isn't an American so I feel he is trying to address social issues in America that he doesn't understand. Some of the scenes are also disturbing, With Kara and Alice in one model of the game in what is basically a concentration camp at the end of the game and lined up with other androids to be destroyed, I think Cage is trying to capture the horror of the Holocaust but he really misses the mark in that stream. Kara and Alice also seem destined to death whether in the consecration camps or getting all the way to the Canadian border where they meet up with Rose and her son again only to make it to the boarder crossing and to be gunned down because they are androids really makes those characters sad and difficult to play. Connor while trying to hunt deviant androids and helping detective Hank an alcoholic cop has some engaging moments but isn't realistic in its portrayal of a conflicted android as he hunts deviants. Markus ends up being an educated android who ends up deactivated through in many cases no fault of his own in the scene with the old mans son you are only given two options push the son or don't and either way Markus ends up dead and you end up in the junk yard rebuilding him. He is the leader of the rebellion of the androids but Cage didn't do his homework on the civil rights movement or slavery for this game.It has moments of being preachy but Cage obviously dosen't understand the fight of the true civil rights movement in America. The overall game play can be tedious and as a disabled person with hand issues due to MS having to in some cases press three to four different buttons while moving the joysticks makes the game difficult to play. I understand that Microsoft is coming out with a controller for handicapped people for their Xbox platform I wish Sony would do the same. All in all, the game has it's moments but there is no levity in the game no humor it takes itself very seriously and that makes the game less enjoyable then Beyond Two Souls, Heavy Rain had little levity as well but there needs to be some humor even when dealing with heavy subject matter. As an author I write a lot of heavy subject matter in my noir novels but I also ALWAYS interject humor you have to have it people just can't deal with constant negatives in novels or game play. So, I think that Cage was trying to do something here but missed the mark by about forty years. He would have been better suited dealing with more current social issues then to take the player back to 1955. There is plenty of unrest and social issues being dealt with in America and abroad today if he had addressed those the game would be much better.     I'm being a bit dramatic, but so is Detroit: Become Human, and that's not particularly a bad thing. The game has flaws, absolutely; at times, writing can be weak, narrative themes can be thrown out the window, and sometimes, something is said when it was more fitting to deafen the audience with silence. But, a game doesn't have to be narratively perfected all the time to still be good, and that's what Detroit: Become Human is. Its three main characters were fleshed out -- some, however, more than others -- but the lack of expanding on each character, I think, was due to the limitations of choice. You could decide to be merciful or murderous, but both can't remain in the same character, so some leniancy on their motives and emotions must be taken.

    The biggest asset of the game is choice. You can choose to ruin the world or to save it. You can choose whose side you're on, who's right and wrong, and so forth. You can be the villain or not.

    Detroit has both good and bad stuff.
    The good:
    - Everything about the visuals. The game is gorgeous, the design is great, but what I liked most was how much care went into creating different universes for the three main protagonists.
    - Everything sound related. The soundtracks are amazing (especially Kara's). The sound design is overall great as well - you can tell that a lot of effort went into it.
    - The large amount of choices that actually have consequences. Some choices' consequences are very obvious - will you make Connor a deviant, or will he remain a machine? Will Markus lead the android revolution peacefully or violently? But on the other hand, a lot of choices also have minute consequences that can end up being significant. For example, maybe you want Connor to get to a specific place to pursue his mission. But maybe you don't want him to go, because it would impact another character. Maybe Kara's experience of the world will change based on the decisions you make with the two other characters. The existence of the flowchart, which allows you to see which possibilities you've unlocked, but also how many remain hidden, compels you to play again and again to find new outcomes.
    - The game knows what you want to do, and will let you do a lot of it. I remember many times where I was in a chase and I would think "what about this thing? can I use it?" In other games I've played, the answer would more often than not be "no". But in Detroit, I was surprised by how often the answer ended up being "yes". Not only do the choices have consequences - they are also numerous and the game will really reward you for going back and checking out areas or possibilities you didn't try at first.
    - The acting is overall good to great. All of the main cast is incredibly convincing and manages to get you invested in the characters. There may be one or two performances that aren't as solid, but the others more than make up for it. I have to point out Cornelius Smith Jr and Dana Gourrier's performances. Since they aren't really part of the main cast, people tend to overlook them.
    - Fair QTEs. So this is very subjective, but I played on the "Experienced" difficulty and I felt like the QTEs were fair. Meaning some fights were easier, but if I wanted to pull a stunt where I wanted to save a character from a tight situation, the QTEs got harder, which makes sense.
    - Connor's investigation scenes and Markus' mid-game scenes. Those are as gameplay-like as the game gets, and they are SO. FUN.
    - The Crossroads chapter. The stakes. Gosh.
    - Some writing moments. I loved the dynamic between Connor and Hank. I ended up getting an ending with Kara that involves cold water (I'll leave it at that) and it really got to me - made me think of people who are stuck in that situation right now, and how nightmarish it must be. I feel like Detroit gets some scenes incredibly right - enough to keep you engaged, especially since you KNOW that those characters can get completely screwed up if you don't take the right decisions.

    The bad:
    - Some of the writing. Honestly, it comes out most in Markus' path. Some of the allusions in there are BLATANT, to the point where it's almost disrespectful...? There's no subtlety in his path - it feels like wish-fulfillment at times. I almost wish we didn't get a backstory for Markus. Because then he'd be this cool mysterious leader with piercing eyes and a knack for suspense-filled declarations. He felt much more impressive when I met him as other characters than when I played him. Also, the whole romance is flat, boring and unexpected. Markus and that character have 0 chemistry. It's not the actors' faults - the characters just don't go well together.
    - Some scenes are really over-the-top. Like Markus dramatically grabbing a coat that was just conveniently THERE. Come on, David Cage.
    - Controls are sometimes weird. Especially when walking. Or when walking and then trying to do an action.
    - There's a very essential element in Connor's investigation that never. gets. explained. It's Heavy Rain all over again except Heavy Rain was like that cause part of the game was cut. I don't mind if it's not addressed, but give me the means to find the answer. Even if it means reading every tiny little detail. I'll do it and I'll love it. But I want answers if it's a plot point.
    - This might seem like nitpicking but it's bugging me: the time is way off. The game is set in 2038 and that doesn't feel realistic - too soon. Also, the whole game happens in the span on something like a week, which is laughable. I wish all revolutions were this short.

    With all that, I'll give Detroit and 8/10 because I've already completed two playthroughs and I'm not stopping. I love the universe, the characters and the multiple possibilities. Even if some scenes are weaker, I still feel compelled to play again. And even if I've played twice, I still manage to get characters killed - I still have to stay alert    … Expand

    This is currently the best David Cage game to ever be released. The writing is good (with the exceptions of some minor hiccups), the characters are interesting, and the soundtrack is memorable. If David Cage can make a game with writing of this caliber and some good gameplay alongside his solid writing, he would have a 10/10 game.

Los logros o trofeos son muy fáciles, pero obligan a rejugarlo completamente al menos dos o tres veces para completar el 100% se ven muchos elementos narrativos basados en películas como A.I. y The Matrix.

    To me, "Detroit: Become Human" earns the title as one of the best PS4 exclusives, not only of 2018, but ever released. The theme, characters, direction, and storytelling fluently combines with a system of "build-up story choices" that only enhances its atmosphere and gameplay, as well.

While the characters and plot are powerful, the game does have some flaws that it should improve on. For example, movements within the game feel slightly 'clunky' and not smooth. Camera angles and rotations often need frequent adjustments of the R2 'scan environment' feature in order to see more of the environment around you. Textures on inanimate objects are often blurry and not sharp (could be a stylistic choice), and the aggressive blurring of scenes in the game detracts the experience somewhat. However, these are technical issues that would not greatly impact anyone's enjoyment of this game. The plot, characters, world designs and relationship mechanics are the main strengths of this game of which it has implemented exceptionally well. I wholeheartedly recommend this game to anyone who would enjoy a narrative focused game that explores greatly the complexity of humanity.     I personally enjoyed Detroit Become Human. The story is great and very exciting, and the pacing is pretty much on point. The many decisions will alter your story, in many different ways. The graphics are also stunning. Yes, the gameplay is just quicktime event after quicktime event, but the story is a good enough reason for playing Detroit.

I was totally wrong. Its a HUGE better with an excellent history a lot of different finals and also mega-realistic graphics that are like the **** real life. When you play with Kara and Alice it doesnt act like and normal NPC is like a real person the CPU is so good . And a lot of things in the history that when you play the game another time is completly different is spectacular. The difference between be peaceful or agressive. If you are a divergent or a robot with Connor. And the final is A M A Z I N G. You need to play this game , seriously.… Expand

I have to say on Detroit: Become Human they have reached a new milestone in storytelling and with how many different paths you can take with the different characters you play. It’s astonishing, gives you great replay value and you will want to go back and reply this game again as there will always be a “what if I did this instead?” scenario going on in your mind. Good thing there is chapter select where you take your last saved choices from the flowchart done before with you, meaning you can continue the game half-way in and redo your choices where you please.

    There is a lot of choices that will make you think more than once due to the morality and ethnicity, it isn’t easy choices and the fact some of them have big consequences later on makes it very emotional. Hell sometimes you even look at yourself and think “damn is this the kind of person I would be in this scenario?”. When a game does that I think it has left a big impact, which Detroit: Become Human has as it was intended too. It’s beautiful, got a story that will have you on the hook and superb voice acting. Gameplay wise games of this nature are never something you will remember but these games were always made with the storytelling in mind.

    All in all I think this is the best game from Quantic Dream yet. Better visuals, audio, fine-tuned gameplay and an even more gripping story than their old games (which were good too mind you). For fans of these kind of games this is a must play and if you haven’t played any of Quantic Dream (or Telltale Games) games before this would be a perfect place to start.

    The flowchart makes it easy for you to know where you want to backtrack.
    Really interesting story.

    The gameplay is always a bit boring in these type of games.

    For what this is, it is a great "game". Replay-ability is just immerse. Plot is great, characters are even better. Your decisions really matter. What else one can want from "interactive movie"

    A really good game! I admit that is not the kind of game I prefer, but this is really special!! Story,gameplay,graphics.... all is perfect. The characters are strong, and playing the game, you start to love them! I've just finished the story for the first time, and I think, I'll restart it in few days.

    Artificial intelligence is one of my favorite subjects so a huge plus for this game in terms of my opinion. However a awesome job done by QD should be recognized by all - amazing graphics and vast storyline, plus beautiful BGM. Yes storyline can do better under a higher standard, I look forward to more games like this.

The fact alone that you can actually see how your story is dynamically evolving through a flowchart which accompanies every episode makes this a must-play for everyone who likes AI or general dytopian near-future scenarios. Detroit is less philosophic than drama, with very human androids, which was kind of a downer to me, but doesn't make it less of an awesome experience.
    Things I didn't like, though, were the inconsistency with dialogue choices, which are often very vague and only described by 1-2 words. This led me to say things in-game that I never intended to. Also the quick-time-events (QTEs) often hinder game-flow and distract rather than compliment a (fight) scene. I would've also liked to explore a bit more, the "mode" that shows you everything that can be interacted with completely stops the game and you're often forced to go somewhere instead of just looking around. Something contextual, that signifies story-progress would've helped here.
    Things I definitely liked, though, were the main menu (how boring that sounds), with an android who has insightful things to say when you boot up the game, but who also challenges your beliefs of androids as the game goes on. The characters in-game look terrifyingly beautiful, it's no Last of Us, but I think that Detroit is in my personal Top 5, when it comes to character animations and appearances. The story is actually branching, with several entrance or exit points being barred from you as you decide your way through the game, something I have never seen at this scale in a videogame before, maybe in some critically acclaimed RPGs, but not in this genre of videogame. Lastly, it made me feel a lot of different emotions, from grief, to happiness, to thrill, and beyond. I was enthralled with every scene, every (mis)step I took, especially when I swore to not kill anybody, but then saw myself with no choice after I was pressured.
    This game is one of the best narrative games I've ever played. It has some weaknesses in its narrative, but the concept, design, and execution are just brilliant and should be an industry standard for AA - AAA games.    … Expand

    An amazing game with lots of choices. The storyline depends on your way of thinking and takes a lot of turns. The main characters are very interesting in their own way and let you think about our own world with our technology and AI. A really cool experience.

    Начну с хорошего.
    Сюжет. Здесь сюжетов, скажем так, три, они идут параллельно и в конце сливаются. Структура канвы тут как во многих играх данного жанра, можно начать гробить всех героев в первые три часа игры, а можно аккуратно прожить с ними и все 35 часов. Все зависит от игрока.
    Скажу также повествование в игре очень эмоциональное.
    Герои мне очень понравились, им начинаешь сопереживать, а это главное в кино. Поэтому совсем не хочется, кого то из них терять. Мне лично больше понравилось играть за детектива Коннора. Так же уровни, даже их части, можно пройти несколько раз, выбрать понравившийся вариант и оставить его как основной.
    Кстати о кино. Из игры получился бы неплохой фильм, тем более что все роли в игре исполняют реальные актёры.
    В игре неплохая графика, а также лицевая анимация выше всех похвал (когда же Bethesda научится в своих рпг так делать).
    Теперь о грустном. В игре просто ужасная камера, будто из какого то Devil May Cryя 2001 года. Иногда просто не понятно, куда идёт персонаж, приходится всё время камеру корректировать с помощью "сканера", крайне не удобно. По той же причине персонаж то и дело затыкается, о какие то невидимые камушки или бугорки, что очень бесит особенно в уровнях на время.

    К тому же моя консоль так разогрелась, думал что взлетит. Шум заглушал звук телевизора. Но вероятно это только у меня:).

    A mi Beyond: Dos Almas, me pareció una absoluta mierda. Una excusa barata para tener a Ellen Page y William Dafoe, que al final quedó en una historia sosa, confusa, que no aportaba nada y con actuaciones de culebron de antena 3.
    Menos mal que con Detroit, la cosa cambia y menos mal. Me ha recordado mucho a Heavy Rain, en muchas localizaciones, argumentos y aspectos...     The game is f***ing great. You can run it two times choosing different paths. The only disappointment for me was there are only a couple of places where you actually choose a path but not in every dialogue or decision as it was said by SCEA

    One of the best interactive game what i played, amazing story what i will remember for a long time. The game's world is so detailed and believable. Characters and everything works perfectly. If you like that genre you must play!

    Nice story to play with. It was really fun, especially to always see how others decided in percentage terms. But I liked the police story best by far, although the others were also completely ok.     There is not much to say about gamplay, you know what you are getting into. I'm not that much of a QuickTime player, but sometimes you can do that, anyway, when it comes to a nice story.

    We really liked the setting, the atmosphere and the music. The length was also perfectly fine.

Sono stati impostati senza nessun sentimento, solo pronti ad essere servili con i propri padroni. Ma che succederebbe se essi iniziassero a provare dei sentimenti? Veri sentimenti?
    I personaggi principali sono tutti legati a famiglie con vari problemi che vogliono toccare il giocatore e farlo riflettere. Un umano può essere più freddo di un robot impostato a non provare sentimenti.
    Ci troviamo così ad assistere ad una ribellione vera e propria.
    Come altri telltale game del genere, il giocatore ha la possibilità di poter giocare con tutti i personaggi principali e deve fare delle scelte. Così come il UD, le relazioni interpersonali sono importanti e devono essere coltivate.

    Very nice decision based story game with a strong confrontation about ethics. It is a 10 for me, if they would have included a combination of different game genre to give the player more options what he/she could do. it is also not in general openworld as metacritic claims.

    This is more of an interactive movie than it is a game, that being said I quite like the story. The gameplay isn’t great so don’t buy the game for the gameplay, but it for the story.

    This game is pretty good, it has a decent story which makes sense, and is just plain good. The game play is a little lacking, but for a story driven game like this, it's fine. I don't like the fact that your character can just die if you make the wrong decisions, even if you're playing as a good guy. But, overall, good game.

The game has three protagonists, and through the use of mostly linear exploration and QT events, Detroit masterfully ties together interweaving plotlines and their consequences so the player feels fully in control of their heroes' eventual destiny. Kara, Marcus and Connor are all androids that you will spend around equal amounts of time controlling throughout the games' 10 hour lifespan. Each one is acted and animated spectacularly, as well as going through their own rites of passage as the story cogs begin to whir, and your characters begin to realise their voices in a world where androids have no say.

    Detroit is a stunning game, and a technical masterpiece. Locations are well detailed and lighted expertly, and it is difficult not to feel immersed in the world Quantic Dream have made. Snow dusts Marcus' coat, wind tousles Connor's hair and the feeling of rain seeping into your shoes is palpable as Kara searches for shelter. Combat scenes, though sometimes tricky, feel fluid and natural, timed dialogue choices feel meaningful (and they are), and tension runs high towards the end as the game asks you to make difficult decisions that have huge ramifications on the world around you.

    Detroit, whilst a technical marvel, suffers from some contrived, one dimensional writing here and there as the game doesn't have the chance to explore much other than good vs evil and in addition, rarely operates with any nuance or subtleties. Throughout the game, whilst you make inherently 'good' or 'bad' choices, the game regularly punishes you for the latter, and rewards you for the former, sometimes operating under the 'are you sure you want to do this?' guise. To be fair to Quantic Dream, many moments throughout the game do, and will punish you for disregarding its characters. Unlike the majority of games, your protagonists are vulnerable, and there are many points throughout the game in which their journey can be cut short. You may find yourself wishing to restart a chapter, or even the game, but I highly recommend not doing so. Thanks to the unique flowchart system, each chapter/level can be re-explored multiple times, thus giving you a chance to see 'what happened if?' after you have completed the main story fully.

    Despite the often heavy-handed script, and regular preachiness, the game does a great job of realising the characters' place in its world. For a narrative driven game, Detroit: Human doesn't say a whole lot in the grand scheme of things, but relies on its characters to be the voice of the player. Kara, Marcus and Connor's fates are entirely in your hands, and it's up to you how their journey ends.    … Expand

    Aunque el gameplay puede llegar a resultar tedioso en cierto punto ,lo recomiendo al 100% de las mejores historias que he visto, ya sea el final bueno o malo (hay cientos de combinaciones) , sus personajes desbordan carisma sobre todo connor y markus

I will freely admit that, while there were elements about Beyond: Two Souls that I found enjoyable, it ultimately fell short in my opinion in regards to its gameplay and narrative. However, much of my issues that Beyond suffered from wereDetroit: Become Human is the latest cinematic romp from David Cage. This is the fourth stab at this style of game since Beyond: Two Souls back in 2013. I will freely admit that, while there were elements about Beyond: Two Souls that I found enjoyable, it ultimately fell short in my opinion in regards to its gameplay and narrative. However, much of my issues that Beyond suffered from were greatly improved here in Detroit. It's gameplay was more engaging, there were more interesting and likeable characters, and your choices actually mattered again like in Heavy Rain. It basically takes Heavy Rain's gameplay and Beyond's high production values and combines them into, what I believe to be, Cage's best work thus far.

    The game takes place in the not so distant future, where androids are common place and heavily impact the lives of the humans that created them for better and for worst. A revolution slowly starts to develop amongst the androids, demanding for equal rights as a (not very subtle) allegory for racial justice. The game chronicles three androids in particular. Connor, a detective investigating the cause of these rebelling androids (deviants); Kara, a house maid that rescues a child from her abusive father and the two travel north to Canada for refuge; and finally Marcus, a former elderly attendant that ends up as the "Chosen One", destined to lead this new android revolution.

    To get this out of the way immediately, Connor is easily the best part of the game. His actor Bryan Dechart perfectly portrays him as clearly being non-human, but without coming off as robotic. He also has the most interesting character arcs in the game, whether you decided to change him for the better, or to make him a ruthless, unfeeling android. There are tons of great moments with him, especially when interacting with his hard-boiled partner Hank (excellently portrayed by Clancy Brown). Kara is a sympathetic character in her own right, but doesn't quite hit the same emotional notes for me as Connor. Marcus, on the other hand, does very little for me. He's easily the driest of the three, but does make that up a bit with some of the most significant story elements in the game. The story can be as subtle with its themes as blood in a white room. The heavy-handed symbolism, racial allegories, corniness, and just general "Cage-isms" can turn a lot of people away. As someone who is no stranger to Cage's work and can get around his eccentricities, I found myself thoroughly enjoying the story for what it was. I haven't been this invested in a Cage game since Heavy Rain.

    The game also sports an absolutely stellar presentation. While some of the character models still walk into the Uncanny Valley, the game on the whole looks gorgeous, with an incredible attention to detail. Most impressive to me was in the lighting and cinematography. There is a very heavy emphasis on rich, dark colors and mood lighting, especially enhancing some of the more tense moments. The voice acting on the whole is just as solid as it was in Beyond (once again giving special mention to Bryan and Clancy), and the soundtrack is fantastic, varied and perfectly fitting each of the main characters.

    Gameplay goes back to a style that more closely resembles Heavy Rain, and certainly for the better. You explore your environment for contextual prompts, engage in QTE sequences and occasionally make decisions from multiple choices. This time around, though, your choices matter more than any other Cage game up to this point. You make decisions that have significant consequences to not only the story, but in how individual characters and the world at large view you. At the end of each chapter, you are given a summary of the choices you made in a branching fashion. Some are very linear, while many others branch of into several trees that really show off just how much different a route can be, both in subtle and big ways. While I personally tend to go back and play through my preferred route, there is a lot of replayability to had here. It also helps that you can go back to specific chapters rather than having to start a fresh playthrough.

    Detroit, while still carrying all of the faults of a typical David Cage game, is easily his best work to date. It's story can be kind of dumb, but it's engaging. Not all the characters work for me, but the ones that did really kept me going. If you haven't played a David Cage game yet and just want to know what all the fuss is about, this is the first one I will recommend.    … Expand

    Detroit: Become Human delivers a story with a ton of possible choices, and a lot of questions for a player to bear afterward. If you like it when games make you think about them after you play them, this is the game for you. Stunning visuals and music score, make you forget about some weaker points of the game. But all in all, it is an enjoyable experience you should not miss.

    Detroit: Become Human looks and sounds great, and includes key player choices throughout, though it could have benefited greatly from a tighter script. While it’s commendable that Quantic Dream tried to cover hot-button issues in a big-budget video game, it works better when focused on the personal character moments than the bigger themes that don’t dig deep enough to make a meaningful impact.
