Sep 10, 2014I had fairly high hopes for this game. It was fun at first, but quickly became monotonous and boring. It looks beautiful and controls well. Unfortunately, the story is very weak and the combat is repetitive and lacks variety.

Sep 10, 2014This game is great! having a ton of fun playing it and leveling up. Only problem i have with it is the small world area's but other then that this game is fantastic

Sep 10, 2014Truly a fantastic game. Yes, it gets a bit repetitive, but it's a shooter. And compared to other shooters, it actually mixes things up a LOT more than the standard fare. Really a blast, both "single" and multi player.

Sep 10, 2014Played the Alpha and Beta and have to say I'm underwhelmed with the final product. Its pretty grindtastic even for an RPG. The story is BLAND. One of the most generic barftastic stories ever. With that said its a quality game. Not a great game but a good game.

Sep 10, 2014This game is pretty good. I like aspects of it, but it also feels quite limited and I felt like i got the idea of the whole game just from the beta I played. Quite repetitive, but if you are playing with friends (even though its a limit of 3?) it is a lot more fun. Hoping this will tide me over until Far Cry 4 or Dying Light, but its not looking hopeful.

Sep 10, 2014Destiny is OK. It's not great but not unplayable. Plays like Borderlands without the Humour and Halo without the story. The gunplay is generic and there's very little to break up the monotony. The lack of proximity voice chat makes the game feel very lonely.

Sep 10, 2014The game is extremely boring, this the last time that I purchase a game, purely based on hype. . . Waste of money and time. Damn. Disappointing.......

Sep 10, 2014Well, as a FPS game I think this is above average, but I am seeing a lot o negative reviews for this game, and the reason for that IMO is that with al the HYPE the developers were able to raise for this game, the public clearly were waiting for a game that would be someting like a crossover between World of Warcraft and Starcraft maybe. Unfortunately, it is neither thing.

Sep 10, 2014The game is extremely boring, this the last time that I purchase a game, purely based on hype. It doesn't do anything for me, I hate the gameplay it's so repetitive, I hate the enemies. Why did this game have such a huge budget when it sucks?
-
Sep 10, 2014So much hate... There's absolutely no way this game is a 0. If you can't make a rational decision, you shouldn't be reviewing games.
I give this game a solid 8 only for its feeling of repetition (at least in the early game) and annoying load times. Other than that, this game is graphically stunning and great gameplay. It has huge potential and I'm looking forward to what comes next. -
Sep 10, 2014Garbage ... who makes an MMO where you cannot trade items with your friends? Bungie I guess ...
Play Halo 2 instead. Better MP, story.
Also the lore cards in Destiny ... to read them ... get this ... you have to look them up in a browser on your computer/tablet/phone. Why this crap wasn't available in game ... your guess = mine

Nov 25, 2014Although Destiny isn't the brilliant start to a franchise that many had hoped for, it's a great game for those who can push through its flaws and enjoy the ride.

Edge MagazineNov 5, 2014What is most amazing of all is that despite its litany of weird little problems, Destiny is fantastic, its combat up there with the very best, the thrilling rhythm of its battles still not fading the 30th time through, and it has no single systemic problem that is not fixable. Pelit (Finland)Oct 25, 2014Destiny is a flawed but still extremely fun first person shooter. While the Destiny universe itself seems intriguing, the storyline is told in such an incoherent manner that it's hard not to be turned off by all the technobabble. Fortunately the co-op shooter mechanics are absolutely perfect. The loot system can be maddening, but in a way it adds to the game's addictiveness. [Oct 2014]
