    Despite what mob mentality may tell you, Kojima games are not infallible. I admire his creativity and his newfound ability to make the games he's always wanted to, but this game does leave a bit to be desired.

    PROS: -unique premise and world -use of real world actors for characters -setting is unique and visually appealing -gorgeous scenery CONS: -feels like a never-ending fetch    Despite what mob mentality may tell you, Kojima games are not infallible. I admire his creativity and his newfound ability to make the games he's always wanted to, but this game does leave a bit to be desired.

    Just boring, pretentious game from the most pretentious game creator ever Hideo Kojima, the only good game from him is METAL GEAR SOLID on ps1 the rest are garbage. Do not play this game its a waste of time. 4/10 just for the graphics and the soundtrack.

    I really don’t understand all the hate on this game. I spent 50+ hours playing it and never got bored. Unreal story, unreal performances and the world design is amazing. Easily one of my top 5 games of all time

    Honestly, it's not for everyone.
    If you enjoy a methodical slow pace experience, one that requires some juggling and resource management with the only real reward being is self satisfaction that you did a good job, then you will have a good time.

    If your looking for a break neck all out action adventure then look elsewhere.

    MGS this ain't, it is something a bit different though..

    Very boring game the Lore is good but the gameplay just sucks, if you are going to buy it to play it you need to see 10 hours or more... No more words for this , don't trust anyone that recommend this game they are evil.

    I would like to preface my review by saying that I am a very picky gamer. It's a rare occasion in which I buy a game at launch nowadays because I don't see any good games coming out this generation. Death Stranding was different.

    Now that I have completed the story after spending 100 hours in the game in over 2 weeks, here are my scores by category: Gameplay - 10/10 Story - 5/10    I would like to preface my review by saying that I am a very picky gamer.     So, considering the above, it is a pretty good game, even for me. I was hooked right from the beginning by the world, gameplay and social mechanics. I only wish it had a better story and writing. There were some good moments in the story, although they are marred by the overall picture.

    Despite the lackluster story I give this game a 9 for its innovative social mechanics, addictive gameplay, gorgeous visuals and excellent polish.

    I think this game is for people who like logistical challenges and making the world better for others, or just getting a tonnes of likes for that, ha-ha.    … Expand

    Flawless graphics, great storyline, and a very original game. I don’t understand some of the hate the game gets. Do people have that little an attention span? It’s not perfect, but it’s very close.

    Death stranding is something special. Anyone who calls this game super boring without seeing proper gameplay or anything should be forbidden. But it is not a requirement to like it. If you weren't interested in it from the beginning or if you don't agree with the gameplay, i.e. the RIGHT gameplay, then it's ok. But there are many people who only hear you deliver packages and then startDeath stranding is something special.     The flaws that exist in Death Stranding are very similar to the flaws that existed in MGS5. There are interesting ideas interwoven with boring and repetitive game play. Kojima always offers interesting ideas, but his last few games he seems to have grown comfortable with boring segments within his games. Here is a little summary below.

The interface is so overburdened it creaks at the seams and every little failure of it costs you dearly, and the basic gameplay loop fails to be interesting in any way. Sad to see so much effort undertaken to polish systems when they couldn't manage to build them on top of something actually entertaining. The story is badly written gibberish with actors struggling to come across as credible given the garbage script they've been handed. If I hadn't bought this at a deep discount I'd be upset - as it is, I just don't really have any desire to keep at it after so many hours of wasting my time. If nothing else, it serves as a valuable indictment of the gaming press - that they could all be so rooked by this and unable to judge whether the game succeeds at the most basic test - being fun to play - seems to indicate something deeply rotten in the games journalism corps. Imagine if we could have gotten Kojima's efforts towards this applied towards a game with a good premise, good gameplay and a less insane story? That's the true disappointment here. This feels like a mobile game someone tried to shine up to about 1000x its worth.… Expand

    Beautiful graphics, interesting story, relaxing gameplay. The game may be too boring for some. Stop giving the game a 0, just because it's not a COD game. The game industry needs more breath of fresh air.

    I completely understand why this game is so divisive, some people will not enjoy this game at all. If you are looking for the summer action blockbuster with big set pieces and over the top action, this is not that game. Death Stranding is slow, meticulous, and contemplative.     There are long spans of relatively similar gameplay, but every single time they begin to feel stale or boring new mechanics or altogether different gameplay styles are presented. To really enjoy and appreciate this game you must finish it to completion.

    Great game, great story, best I've ever seen yet. This game is something different that others, this game has it's uniqueness. This game is not for stupid people, this game is made with meaning, with its own message to all people. Very emotional story, unpredictable plot twists. I really loved this game, it touched my heart. Puedes dejar el DualShock encima de la mesa que el juego va avanzando solo. Las fisicas son horribles, la jugabilidad mala y los bosses que aparecen dan risa, el mundo abierto es un pasto verde sinBuena pelicula, mal videojuego.     I am truly blow away that people would give this game a 0. At minimum it deserves a 4 for the graphics alone. However I will say this game is not for everyone. It is almost completely different from any other gaming experience I have ever had. This game instead has rich story, atmosphere, rewards for progression, plot twists, and a fantastic experience that no other game has been able to deliver me personally this year. If you want CoD reskined with a story this is not for you. Understand this is a slow game. Think of it as an onion that you must peel the layers back by hand one by one, and at the center of it all is the most delicious piece of candy you have ever had. Excellent job! However I fear this will become a cult classic and the industry will reject any further experiences like this. I am just thankful that this was something that we got even if it is temporary.… Expand

    Walking simulator 2019 but its has some great features and boss battles and some good roleplay elements and a decent story
    Its a good chilling experience so i'll give it 7/10

    Not perfect but a creation, risky and different. Sure it is difficult to apprehend. But a very pleasant trip with great moments, stressing or relaxing... And thanks to the community for the help ;)

If the menus were streamlined, the action a bit more difficult, the stealth slightly more compelling and the mid-game grind just slightly more trimmed (which is a difficult balance to be fair because the grind is what prompts the investment into other players) the game would have been a masterpiece. Whatever you think about this game - you cannot disagree with the fact that you have never played anything like this and in an age of Triple A yearly rehash this kind of willingness to take risks is sorely needed. At the very least - wait for a sale and see what all the fuss is about. Vote with your money even if the game-play is not for you. This game rewards you for helping others. In a way it is a repeat of the same emotions people felt when they played journey. Cannot recommend it highly enough.… Expand

    The real problem with the game is that if you want to complete all the missions, it is too long lasting.
      When I was about to get to 300 playing Hrs, I started to think that this would be Kojima's worst game (still being an excellent game).
      But then, the story started to evolve in an incredible way and pace. It reached the highest level ever seen in both games and movies.   I should    The real problem with the game is that if you want to complete all the missions, it is too long lasting.

      I should have voted 10 due to a story deserving 12, an overall technical quality deserving 10 and a gameplay deserving 7.5 just because of the stress caused by the number of side quests.
      Considering that if you play in hard mode and only the main missions, the gameplay gets a 9, the perfect score is not an option for me.
      The genre is rather unique, the environmental interaction is the best ever made, and the plot can only be compared with BioShock Infinite's or predestination's / shutter island's / Inception's, and Kojima also created the most complete and coherent fiction world ever seen. I preferred the Metal Gear saga (I love stealth), but it's for this game that I can say Kojima truly is a genius.
      For those who hate gameplay I highly recommend seeing a "game movie" on YouTube, it's more pleasant and interesting than most Hollywood movies, anyway Death Standing Is a Must-to-play or Must-to-see    … Expand

    Not sure if Sony payed well or the hype got them, but really this isnt even a game is a pretty bad movie with a walking simulator inbetween cutscenes.
    Top notch graphic, but the bad part of the movie is in what really matters, writing and plot.
    The writing is mediocre at best all the way from the beginning start to end, while the plot is interesting at first, ends up at soap opera level in the end.
    The feeling in the end is that you wasted 50+ $ and 40+ hours of your life.
    Absolutely not recommended, play chess with your granpa and you'll have more fun.    … Expand

    Para pessoas que estão procurando uma experiência imersiva e verossímil, esse é um jogo que sabe passar a sensação do protagonista em estar vivendo aquilo e também passa a utilidade e impacto dos seus atos na vida dos NPC e dos outros players.

Je vous avoue que la fois où j'ai voulu l'acheter j'étais très mitigé à cause des notes qui vont de 0 à 3 mais en réalité tout ceux qui mettent ces notes ne sont nul autres que ceux qui n'ont pas joué au jeu. Je ne l'ai pas encore fini je suis à l'épisode 5 et aucun ennui. Il y a beaucoup d'action mais lesBonjour bonjour et oui vous ne rêvez pas un 10/10 encore un chef d'œuvre de Kojima ! And when things pick up, you get weapons to defeat all types of foes. This game has FANTASTIC stealth mechanics along with heart pounding run away moments and exciting combat please.     Love how this game works. And the whole delivery system is pretty entertaining, how the players help each other is something im. Story is well made and gameplay is awesome. Defenetly must have.

    Death Stranding is creating a new game genre and therefore paves its own path towards more interactive experiences. It is a brave work thanks to its novelty, which fortunately is not a bragging right for its creators, as it may have seemed, but an exceptional title that will reward the brave who play it.     This game does manage to be fun, even if it is one of the heaviest experiences of 2019. Everything from story to gameplay is begging to be dissected, filled with imagery and symbolism -- just like so many Kojima games before this one. Entering Death Stranding, it’s likely that we all thought Kojima’s calling card was lengthy cutscenes and stealth and action gameplay.

    Death Stranding stands as a powerful author’s game which drives a strong message of how our over-connected society is evolving, and how we can help other players. Unlike many AAA games, it shines on a truly spiritual level. Well written, engaging and visually magnificent, it offers, despite some pacing flaws, an astonishing solo game with elegant multiplayer elements. A unique representation of Hideo Kojima’s talent.
