    When your mechanics hinge on something as mundane as walking, the most exciting part of your game is building a road, and you boast a melodramatic story of nonsensical characters you have Death Stranding and you have a boring game.

    So after reading so many reviews trashing this excellent game I thought of adding a few pennies. Am I a Kojima fanboy? Not at all. I actually find MGV boring and drab, although it's much more of a shooter than this one. A lot of people will say it's a glorified walking simulator and there's certainly parts of the game that feel like it - one of the biggest challenges is terrain traversal.So after reading so many reviews trashing this excellent game I thought of adding a few pennies. Am I a Kojima fanboy? Not at all. I actually find MGV boring and drab, although it's much more of a shooter than this one. A lot of people will say it's a glorified walking simulator and there's certainly parts of the game that feel like it - one of the biggest challenges is terrain traversal. But instead of thinking of it in terms of walking simulator think of it as something of an evolution of a 3d platformer - it's a beautifully crafted, naturalistic world in which your objective is to get from point A to B. As the game progresses you find yourself in possesion of a growing number of tools to do that, so in the middle part of the game you actuall mostly drive around in trucks and motorbikes, while in the latter you mostly fly around on zipline. Now terrain traversal is fun and does make for quite a challenge. Another thing that makes for a lot of fun is new tools that are being introduced almost literally every half an hour. Some of them you might never use, some of them you will find yourself using constantly, so there are many ways to approach an objective. Another strong aspect is story - this game hours upon hours of beautifully realized cutscenes. How good is the story? It's good, although some dialogue lines are just badly written, mostly it's well versed. In an industry where most products have a throwaway story just for the sake of presenting cool graphics and mechanics, this one definitely stands out. Coupled with it's insane soundtrack and action heavy intervals, you get a one of a kind masterpiece. Most critics, even if they praise it suggest it could've been shorter, but I don't agree with them. I was actually surprised when the story started to wrap up, I wasn't ready yet - haven't delivered enough packages, haven't finished building all the highways (very satisfying activity btw), haven't encompassed mountains with my network of ziplines, haven't unlocked all the extra equipment... In the end story left me crying... this game certainly is a tearsqueezer. Does everything in the story make sense? Kinda, you just have to accept that it follows dream logic more often than waking logic. Buy it, it's worth it.… Expand

    Masterpiece ... Kojima just change the genre. Love from Pakistan . Must play game . I recommend to all gamers at least give it try.

    Aburrido como el solo. Historia retorcida hasta no mas poder, te explican lo mismo cada dos por tres,en resumen un coñazo.

    F. Not in for poor design. Art is great, story interesting, but the gameplay aspect is just weak and not innovative, was expecting gameplay richness, but got a film.

    This story in this game is so wonderfully weird. Not a game I would recommend universally but for me it was an experience that was worthwhile. Took me about 40 hours to finish the game and the story kept me interested until the very end. Could have been better though. The game sometimes is very long-winded. The open world is not very interesting - all of the areas are kind of samey - IThis story in this game is so wonderfully weird.     Pedazo de juegazo de principio a fin. Un 10 en jugabilidad, un 10 en banda sonora, un 10 en la historia, un 10 en el doblaje, el juego en si es un 10.

    Es un buen juego, desde mi punto de vista y tras haber completado la historia entera ( aunque quiero exprimir al máximo el juego ya que me quedan cosas por hacer) e llegado a la conclusión de que este juego no es apto para todos los jugadores. Personalmente me ha gustado bastante aunque al terminar la historia se te puede hacer un pelin aburrido hacer siempre lo mismo. De todos modos siEs un buen juego, desde mi punto de vista y tras haber completado la historia entera ( aunque quiero exprimir al máximo el juego ya que me quedan cosas por hacer) e llegado a la conclusión de que este juego no es apto para todos los jugadores.     This game is a masterpiece, incredibly immersive, touching and, at last, fresh air for the videogame industry. Take your time to discover its secrets, enjoy this one of a kind experience and don’t expect a game for everyone. It's exactly what the videogame industry needed.

    Considero que es una pelicula más que un juego. Muy buenos gráficos y pauperrima jugabilidad. Viendo los trailer recuerdo que se vendió como una obra maestra de Hideo Kojima pues mejor que se dedique al cine. Sinceramente es un presupuesto tirado a la basura...

    No le veo la gracia a este juego por ninguna parte. Sin ninguna duda yo me compraría la play por un the last of us o por un god o war, pero por un juego así de aburrido en mi vida y además lento y cansino.

    Una propuesta Novedosa ,y excelente a nivel técnico. He de decir que no esperaba nada de este juego . Muy buenos gráficos, banda sonora e historia . Tiene bastantes cinemáticas pero son muchas horas de juego 51 he hecho yo para acabarlo . Grata sorpresa , muy recomendado si no eres de los que les gusta solo la acción. El juego trata en su mayoría de llevar cargas pero tiene que llegarUna propuesta Novedosa ,y excelente a nivel técnico. He de decir que no esperaba nada de este juego .     I can't in good conscience give this game a 10 even though I wanted to after the story. The story may very well be the greatest to have ever been in a game ever. HOWEVER, the gameplay was definitely unenjoyable for sections at a time. This is the only area lacking in an otherwise perfect game (although it would better be described as an experience). I've never played a Kojima game, but this man single handedly rewrote what a videogame can be, and I think this is what some people fail to see. Something thats sitting outside of the box of which we've come to know as gaming. This game went against the grain by giving us an experience. The soundtrack, graphics, cinematics, and overall attention to the most minor of details makes this game unforgettable and definitely one everyone should play. ALSO, one last note, I almost dropped the game early on - keep at it and finish it and you wont regret it just like i didn't.… Expand

But because its kojima, we have to pretend its something special.... NO. It's just a bad game, boring and confusing. Sorry for myself that I spent 40 bucks on this game. Bad story telling!… Expand

    A mecânica é perfeita do jogo, não houve bugs e problemas técnicos, mas é um jogo lento com foco na história, a história é excelente e parece um filme, acredito que seja um jogo para poucos.

    Un juego Sobrevaloradisimo, con una publicidad desproporcionada que no es acorde con lo que ofrece el juego. Han querido convertir este juego de nicho, dandole publicidad como si fuera un gran juego mainstream para inflar las ventas de un juego que no es para todo el mundo y aun asi han fracasado.

    -Los gráficos es lo mejor del juego, tiene gráficos de muy buena calidad, con mucho    Un juego Sobrevaloradisimo, con una publicidad desproporcionada que no es acorde con lo que ofrece el juego. Han querido convertir este juego de nicho, dandole publicidad como si fuera un gran juego mainstream para inflar las ventas de un juego que no es para todo el mundo y aun asi han fracasado.

    -Los gráficos es lo mejor del juego, tiene gráficos de muy buena calidad, con mucho detalle, sin embargo el mundo de death stranding esta vacio y carece de detalle. Demasiado monótono, demasiado grís. El mundo y los escenarios no tienen carísma.
    - El sonido es correcto, banda sonora ambiental, que acompaña d forma decente. Ninguna maravilla.
    - La historia tiene un buen planteamiento inicial, pero su desarrollo acaba volviendose predecible hacia la mitad del juego. Además se ve truncada y diluida por su lamentable jugabilidad. Los nombres elegidos para muchos personajes... malos y poco originales. Seguramente Kojima cree que esos nombres le dan epicidad a los personajes, pero los acaba convirtiendo en memes de megaman. Deathman, Die hard man, hearthman... vaya nombrecitos.
    - La jugabilidad es un horror. Tediosa, repetitiva, sin fundamento, sin ningún desafio y con poco interés. El mundo de death stranding esta llenísimo de misiones secundarias de reparto (el 90% )que aportan poco al disfrute del jugador.
    Nos limitamos poco más de ir de un punto a otro y hacer entregas de paquetes. Lo peor que he jugado desde No man´s sky.

    En pocas palabras, un simulador de repartidor que no merece mucha más atención.    … Expand

    the story and the environment is good.

    To slow, to boring, not so atmospheric. Flat characters, dumb protagonist, Indian movie plot twist at the end.
    I give it to the game, at its core it has very good and clear ideas, but man, why so boring?! Why I have to watch cutscenes only at the beginning and a ton at the end, and between 40 hours of **** WALKING.

    Death Stranding is creating a new game genre and therefore paves its own path towards more interactive experiences. It is a brave work thanks to its novelty, which fortunately is not a bragging right for its creators, as it may have seemed, but an exceptional title that will reward the brave who play it.     This game does manage to be fun, even if it is one of the heaviest experiences of 2019. Everything from story to gameplay is begging to be dissected, filled with imagery and symbolism -- just like so many Kojima games before this one. Entering Death Stranding, it’s likely that we all thought Kojima’s calling card was lengthy cutscenes and stealth and action gameplay.

    Death Stranding stands as a powerful author’s game which drives a strong message of how our over-connected society is evolving, and how we can help other players. Unlike many AAA games, it shines on a truly spiritual level. Well written, engaging and visually magnificent, it offers, despite some pacing flaws, an astonishing solo game with elegant multiplayer elements. A unique representation of Hideo Kojima’s talent.
