    This 40 hour story game was out for less than 20 hours and it already has a 1300 user reviews. You can imagine that the User Score on this one has nothing to do with the actual game... I'm giving it a 10 just to underline my point.

    Beautiful scenery amazing story and engaging gameplay. Whoever is not liking this game is because they were dumb enough to buy a game without knowing what the game was. It's like buying tetris and complaining that it isn't call of duty. Next time do some research on what you're buying before you do and don't criticize a game just because it's not the game you wanted to buy.

Je suis content que certain jeux et séries sont adressé au personne qui on un cerveau (westworld par exemple vue les critiques) car la dire qu'il et mauvais reviens a dire que tu et un débile qui préfère pan pan boum. Je ne suis que au tout debut et j'ai déjà 8h dessus pourquoi ? Parseque je ramasse les colis que les gens laisse tombé plutôt queJe ne donne jamais un avis mais la obliger.     Well I brought a really long review and then it got deleted because this interface is really horrible the typing your views but basically travel from point a to point B and it's not open world so don't think you can explore because you cannot explore the 1st 15 hours or so boring

    An action adventure role playing game... where the action is removed and the adventure is a 5 minute segment every 5 hours.

    I don't understand how this is possible in 2019. You spend your budget on actors playing your characters and rick and morty ads and make a game that's just... bad.

    I love how 90% of the "10" ratings are people saying "don't mind me, just countering trolls posting 0"

    Dios hay tantos calificativos para este juego, ni siquiera lo jugue lo vi con una gran persona que tuvo el valor de pasar 18 horas "jugando" a esta cosa y no hay pero que valga, que no lo haya jugado yo personalmente no quiere decir que no pueda tener una opinion acerca de esta cosa. Still, these vaguely aspects involved in the traversal simply aren't interesting enough to justify sitting through a mediocre and unskippable 8 hour passion project, film student-esque movie made by the ego-inflated hack that is Kojima. DS fails to cater to any specific audience by trying to implement way too little of way too much.

    The game really exceeded my expectations, the portuguese voice acting is beautiful, awesome graphics on ps4 pro I haven't finished the game yet I am very involved with the story. It was worth it could have more action believe in the unfolding happens even more.

    I was told to expect a Kojima walking simulator and I got a Kojima walking simulator. The story is really fascinating as well. I'm glad to see a company taking risks.

    The game is definitely not a walking simulator. I personally detest walking sims. If this game is a Walking Sim, then so is Breath of the Wild.

    This game actually shares more in common with BOTW than you might think. The real fun of the game is in traversal. Not mindlessly walking forward. But in seeing a mountain in your path and struggling to get up and over it.

    If you played BOTW and you loved trying to forge your path to the next ruin, which meant scaling a mountain and winding around it, or trying to figure out a way to get up and over with just the limited supplies that you had, then you'd love this game.

    After playing it's not surprising how divisive the reviews are. I think it's an absolutely amazing experience. The uniqueness, meticulous detail, and incredible visuals inspire a wonder I haven't felt in a game in years.

    simulador de correios do brasil serio isso?, tive a impressão que os youtubers que acompanho como BRKSedu, Cidão, Gameplay RJ entre outros, estão se esforçando muito pra dizer que o jogo é divertido, sendo que nem eles mesmos conseguem transparecer aquilo que desejam, o Edu tem video de mais de 20 minutos onde tudo o que o personagem faz é literalmente andar e nada mais, o game demorasimulador de correios do brasil serio isso?, tive a impressão que os youtubers que acompanho como BRKSedu, Cidão, Gameplay RJ entre outros, estão se esforçando muito pra dizer que o jogo é divertido, sendo que nem eles mesmos conseguem transparecer aquilo que desejam, o Edu tem video de mais de 20 minutos onde tudo o que o personagem faz é literalmente andar e nada mais, o game demora demais a desenvolver, embora as CGs sejam legais e a historia aparenta ser interessante o jogo torna-se massante e repetitivo demais o que acaba pesando muito na hora de jogar, não há estimulo em continuar e passar por trechos tão cansativos fazendo sempre a mesma coisa… Expand

    El juego empieza lento, y continúa igual de lento, lo bueno a destacar es la historia, pero por 59 euros va a ser que no. Recomiendo que la gente vean las cinemáticas en algún canal de Youtube y se ahorrarán una buena cantidad de dinero. Si por mi fuera se llevaría un 4, pero como están inflando las notas con 10, yo hago justicia con un 0.

    O jogo apesar de se desenvolver de uma forma lenta apresenta uma história muito interessante e cativante. Os gráficos também são absurdos e as opções de gameplay que o jogo oferece são muitas e variadas. Apesar de pelos trailer não entendermos nada, logo no começo o jogo já explica um pouco sobre o seu mundo de uma forma que nos intriga ainda mais a continuar jogando e ao mesmo tempo vaiO jogo apesar de se desenvolver de uma forma lenta apresenta uma história muito interessante e cativante. Os gráficos também são absurdos e as opções de gameplay que o jogo oferece são muitas e variadas. Apesar de pelos trailer não entendermos nada, logo no começo o jogo já explica um pouco sobre o seu mundo de uma forma que nos intriga ainda mais a continuar jogando e ao mesmo tempo vai apresenta mais e mais mistérios sobre a trama e o protagonista, com certeza vale a pena pegar… Expand

    Llevo varias horas con el título, realmente la historia es atrapante, visual y sonoramente impresionante y las mecánicas de juego muy adictivas y lejos de lo que todos los juegos para niños proponen. Aun no sé    Tantos Nintenderos escribiendo que el juego es malo, aburrido y pretencioso, haciéndose pasar por fans de kojima para ponerle un cero (o) maquillando en "hate". Dan vergüenza.

    The game is fantastic , we all knew what to expect, and yes , is what we expected, a great game , different , that makes you feel satisfied doing stuff for other players, the message is clear , help each other out. Avoid if u want play the usual story mode and that's it. There is so much going on here, u gotta have the right mentality to play.

    At the end we are buying a game, not a movie so, next time kojima, please make a movie or find someone to help you out with the gameplay.

    Best Game from Kojima I have seen Lately , an instant Classic ! This game a such a beautiful looking world , and very fun interesting characters . I especially like the “far out” concepts introduced in this game . Amazing game , keep it up Kojima.

    Kojima is a genius. This game is not for all but it doesn't make it worse. Yes, you always have to walk but it's interesting to do it. There is always a challenge in it. The story is interesting too.

    Dificultad nula, juego repetitivo a más no poder, sistema de combate olvidable. Por más que lo quieran defender este juego es malisimo.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This is the worst game I've ever played and I've played a lot of games (more than your life on this planet). Now we got this out of the way, you might be wondering what's going on with this title and the problems behind it. I'll break it down, starting with the "gameplay"

    The Gameplay:
    The gameplay boils down to this, take packages and go from point A to Point B, sometimes a Point C in between. You traverse through a misleading map that is claimed to be as big as the USA but is actually smaller than most open world games (blame the lies from Sony and KJP's marketing). It uses draw distance as a means to distract the player in grasping the environment. While the environment is graphically impressive, graphics will be the least of your worries here. As you deliver packages, Kojima claims you can do stealth or guns a blazing, except there's two big problems with this. Going Rambo on everything forces you to die and go to the underworld, which is composed of a trash linear TPS segment that makes PS1 shooters look like works of art. To save you from the pain of playing this, it throws you immediately back to the real world right before you collect your missing items. You'd have more fun buying a water blaster toy or a nerf gun than this, hell you'd have more fun playing cops and robbers as an adult than this segment. What about the stealth? It's non-existent as well. While you do crouch and walk like previous MGS games, it's not a stealth game. BTs can sense you if you move too much and then it just becomes a game of "walk away and hope he doesn't notice me, wait he does" because the AI is programmed to notice you regardless if you hold your breath so the only option is to leave the area. Encounters with the occasional highlighter hazmat suit enemies is pure trash, carjacking is a cutscenes and takedowns are a cutscenes. It interrupts the flow of a very tedious cycle of sloppily punching enemies.

    So yes, all you do is walk, like any other game. Delivering packages not only becomes a tedious chore but more of an escourt mission, that is making sure the packages don't get lost. If it gets lost, tough luck; that women won't get her semen and that dude won't get his pizza. Does the story change significantly? No, it doesn't change at all; and neither does the gameplay. What about the boss battles? Well, goo monsters are recycled in different forms (lion, whale, etc) with no brainpower required; just press the button and it'll be dead. Bosses are completely unimaginative from an artistic point of view. What about Higgs? It turns into the most poorly made and thought of boss fight; it's a glorified rockem sockem robot fight, but worse. The animations are not only janky during that boss fight, but throughout the game like sliding down a cliff or picking up packages.

    The Story: Incoherent garbage psychobabble mixed with content ripped off from popular literary books like "The Time Wanderers" and "Hard Boiled Egg." Nothing makes sense and not in the good mysterious way. A child would be able to concoct a better story than this failed auteur of a director. The game wastes your time with HOURS UPON HOURS OF CUTSCENES, but thankfully you can skip them since it doesn't mean anything at the end of the day. Whats the plot twist? Lindsay Wagner is the big bad of the game (you defeat her by pushing two buttons to hug her) and Mads is actually the good guy. Nothing is resolved with the flying figures, Refn never finds his family, and the rest is just stupid.

    Do not buy this game unless you're a:
    1) Blind fanboy 2) Want to burn money for the sake of it

    Don't be fooled into nice graphics, they don't help you here. As for having a new genre? That was a lie. Kojima doesn't play games and doesn't know what to call this mess. Sony advertises this as a adventure game, but it's a whole less adventure and a whole lot more walking and chores. Any game is better than this. Play Journey, it actually emphasizes connections. Play any simulator game like train sim, it's more fun and well thought out. Play heavy rain or any PlayStation exclusive, it's a lot more engaging and coherent than this steaming pile of feces. Play paperboy, it's a lot better mailman game than this. Play any point and click game like monkey island, it's a lot better of an adventure than this.

    This entire game's development and hype is revolved around lies and paid reviews. I'm ashamed to being a PlayStation owner among many other consoles. Do a favor for your wallet and avoid this game like the plague. It's just not worth it. Still dying to play it? Rent a copy for $10, its worth less than that. Or, you can watch a full play through for free on YouTube since this game is such a mess. Verdict: This game is the E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial game of today.     Lo único bueno es la música, y la historia, lo demás deja muchísimo que desear. La gran decepción del año.
    La jugabilidad es pobre y repetitiva, las mecánicas son muy básicas para ser un juego de Kojima, hay poca variedad de enemigos. Los jefes son fáciles de derrotar y el mapa es vacío y ni Buenos paisajes tienen por qué todo es musgo y roca. Es MALO

    Leaving aside the spectacular landscapes and the visual content that might not be relevant to some, the travels are really enjoyable, even at the very start of the game are not that frustrating as the "viewers" are saying. Asynchronous multiplayer is very well done and works excellently.
    The gameplay is very various and has really brought me a breath of fresh air. It has a really strong story and it's a different experience that everyone need to try at least once. I gave him 10 to reward him, and to balance the totally unfounded negative votes and without a spirit of objective review. If the reviews had been balanced my vote would have been 9 for now.    … Expand

    This game is complete trash in terms of gameplay, the gamplay loop is completely dreadful it doesn't do anything new outside of making your controller cry, if you are really in need of a baby crying simulator, then go for it, you might actually like it.     The story which should've been the redeeming quality of the game is mediocre at best, the narrative of the story makes little sense, there are lots of plot threads that go nowhere and the ending is just unsatisfying.

    Not to mention the game does not really justify the fact that this story needs to be told in game form, this could've been a movie at it would be less of a chore, this doesn't do anything for those who belive that the medium is an art form, in fact this has the backward idea that games need to aim at movies to be taken serious.

    If you wanna play a story focused game, with decent gameplay that actually shows that there are stories that can only be told via videogames, you are better playing Yokotaro's Nier Automata. But if you are really in need of playing a story focused game with bad gameplay... then play any of the other Yokotaro's games those at least have a good story.

    Avoid this at all cost, that said, I cant give this a cero, the graphics are stellar and the music is decent,hell the crying of that baby is quite good so props for that.    … Expand

The ambitiousness of this game is the only reason why I haven't given this a 0/10. Unfortunately unique concepts and my innate desire to support passion projects don't outweigh my value of time, this game completely disregards any semblance of value for their players' time. Death Stranding is said to be more than 50 hours long and according to many it does improve over time . . . But I am only 5 hours in and will not be continuing. The gameplay is grindy, repetitive and slow, it is like being stuck in an infinite fetch quest. And this may get better over time when other players add structures and resources but for me, it was exceedingly frustrating. The combat is basic and repetitive, it's a simplistic button mash followed by running once overwhelmed cycle. The dialogue reads like a 13 year old's HP fanfic (I watched a scene later on which has Mads say 'There's rain falling from my eyes', really?!). The vehicles are janky and at times difficult to control. To those that argue that the reviewers have not given it a fair chance because we simply have not played enough, if it takes more than 10 hours for a game to become bearable then that game has ultimately failed.

    The opening of this game is arguably the second biggest obstacle for players after the blatant disrespect of our time. The amount of cutscenes could never be justified in the first place but ultimately, and I think this will be extremely apparent to people who regularly consume arts and media that are narrative-focused, Death Stranding uses so many words to say exceedingly little.    … Expand

    The controls are responsibles and the holds buttons works way better than I thought... in fact they are really to get. I played 2 chapters so the story is at begining but it feels Kojima and that is great. I did pretty few deliveries but    The graphics are something else, shaper, good AA, and beautiful... some of the best I played this gem... I can't imagine how it looks in Pro with HDR.

    I did pretty few deliveries but I like it... you need to explore the map to find them and manege to not damage them... the sense of exploration is good and the delivery management interesting... it is engaging too, I took over 1 hour to do the Prologue delivering because I was entertained in find others delivering instead to rush the main pack delivery... it is just fun to do that because mountains makes the exploration very very addictive.

    Right now I'm loving it... I can't wait to play more tomorrow after work... it is 4am right now here... I played two hours without realize... I repeated the Prologue twice because I didn't want to damage the delivery packs.    … Expand

    Imagine getting a blank check from Sony and then creating a walking simulator. I guess the budget was spend on famous actors, cause the gameplay is litterally fetchquest Combined with overly long cutscenes, that tell a non interesting story. The menues are non intuitive. Its like he took everything thats tedious and boring and combined it in one game. Avoid this game at all costs.

    I’ll start by saying this.... If you love movies and games, Death Stranding is for you. It seems that the battle royale and FPS have really dragged down the expectations of what makes a good game. Seems too much impatience to be able to delve into an immersive game. To take breaks and enjoy the art. Enjoying a masterpiece story. The underlying message. Death Stranding does just that. ItI’ll start by saying this....     This game is definitely not for everyone. It's slow pace building up the world around you. which I appreciate learning more about. I find the weight mechanic interesting and so far the game hasn't really disappointed me.

    Let's start with simple things. First of all, good GAMEPLAY is something that truly works with the general idea of a game and that the latter benefits from all this. Guess what? Death Stranding works greatly with this type of gameplay mechanic. In this game, you have to think while walking. You'll have to think about the steps you're taking. Although this will not seem interesting enough and too minimal for some people, believe me, it creates a New World. You have to think about the road you're going to take, micro-manage every piece of cargo in a smart way and adding to these you have to think of the terrain and weather conditions... You see... you're a tiny Man in the middle of nowhere. The vast lands, edgy mountain rocks (that get very slippy when it's raining) are your enemies. There are more "natural" enemies too of course and especially the BT's will transform the game in a much scarier experience. The only thing that I would consider a problem are the controls that some times lack precision. But it's happening in a very minor proportion, so it's really not a huge issue. IF YOU LIKE to play a good written-unique-delicate game it's going to be a 10/10. Believe me, there's nothing else like this out in the market right now. I'm going with a 9.5 and that's because as I said there are some minor problems with the controls from time to time. MY FRIENDLY OPINION is that you should actually play this, give it time to grow in you. Don't get drawn by impulsive opinions.

    Made by a guy who used to be part of the MGS series team and was fired for being unbearable, the game breaks new ground as it tries to take the indie 'contemplative' genre to the AAA arena. Plays as a cross between paperboy and frogger in 3d, with great emphasis on Skyrim's and FOs own encumbrance juggling gameplay.
    The whole social media gameplay factor, appeals to the likes starved teenager and focuses on forcing cooperation with strangers. If you cant get that tons of likes on instagram. Maybe you'll luck out by placing a ladder in a great spot in DS.
    Graphics are top notch, though the landscape is absurdly not coherent with the source material.

    If you really have 40+ hours of your life to waste - then wait till this game will be heavily discounted. Otherwise YouTube will provide you with free story movie without need of playing clumsy-50-years-old-man-walking-simulator.

    Tengo que valorar este juego como juego y no como pelicula, por eso tengo que ponerle un 3, el juego se basa de ir de A hasta B todo el rato, lo interesante son las cinematicas, llevo 15 horas de juego y es planísimo, todo el rato igual. Lo mejor para mi es pasar por los EVs y dejar que te agarren para tener algo de adrenalina.

The best game of this generation, it's fresh, it's bold, its breathtaking visuals are simply out of this world, the story is really interesting and intelligent in all of its weirdness. For those sensitive and intellectual enough it is also a great existential statement about the current state of our world and scoeity. A must-play game!

If you wanna know the real user rating, look into the PlayStation Store Rating From real users and not just haters with a lot time. If you want something new and fresh and you can’t stand Fortnite and Ubisoft Openworlds, youIm finally thru the game. It was a fantastic and most important, unique journey.     This game does manage to be fun, even if it is one of the heaviest experiences of 2019. Everything from story to gameplay is begging to be dissected, filled with imagery and symbolism -- just like so many Kojima games before this one. Entering Death Stranding, it’s likely that we all thought Kojima’s calling card was lengthy cutscenes and stealth and action gameplay.

    Death Stranding stands as a powerful author’s game which drives a strong message of how our over-connected society is evolving, and how we can help other players. Unlike many AAA games, it shines on a truly spiritual level. Well written, engaging and visually magnificent, it offers, despite some pacing flaws, an astonishing solo game with elegant multiplayer elements. A unique representation of Hideo Kojima’s talent.
