    I have 4 hours in about to return it. The gameplay isn't fun, the mechanics are pathetic the constant stumbling is annoying at the least. Only in 2019 can you sell a 60 dollar walking, stumbling, hiking simulator. The boss "fights" are mediocre. The graphics are among the best So if you play games to look at them it's the game for you. So for a 60 dollar mainstream game the backlash andI have 4 hours in about to return it. The gameplay isn't fun, the mechanics are pathetic the constant stumbling is annoying at the least.     The game is genius and amazing - can't stop playing. And gameplay is very unique and will not fit everyone, but if you like slow and adventure, exploration games its is made for you.

    le doy dos por que es verdad luce genial, y tal vez la historia si puede llegar a ser interesante, pero como calificas un juego a algo que bien pudo ser una pelicula o mini serie que bien pudo estar en netflix.

    Death Stranding is an amazing game that lives up to it's promise of creating a whole new genre. The game starts off slowly and may be very confusing to some. However, given enough time, Death Stranding ends up being a beautiful piece of storytelling. The mission design in the game is repetitive and that may discourage others from buying the game. Yes, the gameplay is slow, but its whatDeath Stranding is an amazing game that lives up to it's promise of creating a whole new genre. The game starts off slowly and may be very confusing to some. That would be fine if the story was good, but the story is complete garbage in this game. It doesn't even make any sense.     The gameplay is beyond horrible in this game. It doesn't even have that much gameplay. Walking in this game is such a chore. The missions are so boring and repetitive. The physics are horrendous. All you do in this game is walk, it is a walking simulator. There are motorbikes you can drive, but you have to go through so many boring hours of walking just to get that. Speaking of the motorcycle, the driving mechanics are complete garbage in this game. It is tedious to worry about the battery of the bike. There is barely any combat, not to mention that it is lazily designed.

    The open world in this game is by far the most boring garbage I ever seen. The world is empty and there is nothing to do. There is nothing worth exploring in this boring world. Most of the world is full of plants, trees, rocks, and dirt. That is so boring to explore. This game lacks so much content. It seems to me that the developers forgot that videogames are suppose to be fun. I don't know why developers these days are so obsessed with making movies. They should focus more on what makes this medium unique and that is gameplay.

    There is no multiplayer. So once you beat the story, this game will go back to the shelf and collect dust. Charging $60 for a game with no replay value is a cashgrab. The greedy developers are basically charging $60 for a movie ticket. I didn't even bother beating the story, because this walking simulator almost put me to sleep. The only good thing in this game is graphics, but the graphics sacrificed the content and the gameplay mechanics. I don't recommend this poor excuse of a game at all. This movie will eventually be free on PS Plus in the future, and I still don't think it would be worth the time to download this trash.    … Expand

    Ok, So Many Losers and Morons giving this game a 0 and 1, These Idiots should be largely ignored as this game is a VERY long game and they posted pretty fast almost impossibly fast to have gotten solid time with this type of game.     Lo odias o lo amas , pero ante la eventualidad de tantos haters, mi nota no ayudara a percibir lo que realmente es este juego, simplemente vale más un 0 que un 10, Comunidad toxica, simplemente que eliminen las reseñas de usuarios. Por que esto siempre va a pasar y es lo más subjetivo que existe, incluyendome en este momento.

    This game's saving grace is it's cinematic cutscenes yet it is not enough to keep me playing through the mediocre gameplay loop .I'm 6 hours in so far. I can't imagine doing this over and over again much longer! It is repetitive just like Phantom pain. I wish the creator would have gone the MGS1-4 route.     Death Stranding It's a quite unic game,It's something fresh on saturated industry.
    The grafics are the best of all times,the acting and narrative are superb.
    Thanks to Sony and Kojima to give us such a masterpiece.

    Although the game has its good points, it is very boring, it has exaggeratedly long cinematics to the point of giving you the feeling of watching a movie, the gameplay is very wasted, in the end it is a bittersweet encounter since good details that end up overshadowed by how bad the game is

    Its a great game easily a 8/10. The story is pretty good and the acting by everyone is really good. The gameplay isn't what your expecting i wouldn't say its not fun cause it is fun but its a different type of fun, the gameplay is just deliverying packages plain and simple. Your a delivery man and they showed that in all the trailers so if you dont like that this game isn't for you.

    Kojima no decepciona, en esta nueva obra maestra, un juego que sin duda trasciende más allá de lo convencional, tanto por su narrativa como por su jugabilidad, y que decir de su historia que es el punto más destacado del juego. Sin duda esta obra de kojima marcará un antes y después en la era de los videojuegos.

    Greatest game of this year. Absolute gem. Graphics and the atmosphere is something unreal. Gameplay itself isnt clearly for everybody, but for me it's perfect. Story so far (about 6hours in) has been great too!

    Death Strading is an overhiped walking simulator and it shows that Kojima should just stop making open world games. If you didn't like the empty world and the repetitive missions of MGSV than stay away from this game. This is the perfect example of graphics over gameplay.

    Sometimes art is something abstract, something that needs a deep understanding to be appreciated, something so weird that communicates and touches you deep inside, something to remember and to be remembered for, even if it's not appreciated in the present, it gets to grow as a hidden gem for the next generations, this is NOT the case, as a KOJIMABOY, I spent hours during the last months arguing with people on PS related groups and forums as to why this game would be awesome and how kojima won't show real mechanics on trailers, well my words did came back to bite me in the ass, exactly what you saw in the trailers and gameplay reveal it's what you'll get, once I got my hands on it, I thought the first hour (well, 2 hours, or 3? Maybe 4. 5, that's it) would be slow so you'd get used to the mechanics , but no, you're just a delivery guy trying to keep everyone alive, how so? By going from point A to point B carrying supplies, enemies are a joke, as well as their AI, and when you're interrupted during your delivery walk by a BT you'd get into a joke of a boss fight that can simply be skipped out, if you have the proper equipment, they're wack and ready to kill, thus vanishing the fear you'd feel, if you can skip battles and after 10 hours gameplay your pretty much ready to blast them out, even on HARD, so pretty much combat is still, inexistent or skippable, the only activities you do are deliver and watching loooooooong poorly acted cutscenes, a cheesy, plot hole filled story, cringy dialogues a la Watchdogs2 and the fact that kojima seemingly lost his way, if MGSVTPP was disappointing in some areas, this is the downfall of kojima, I think he would do better as a Washing Dead Director.
    That much money and time spent to make a mediocrity fueled "movie", don't would've better spent that money on bringing back some nostalgia filled tilted as the trend is going on, even Detroit is a better movie than this disappointment. I've just hooked my copy on eBay, for 20 bucks, and I feel like I'm ripping off the poor person who buys it.

    I have played roughly 40 hours so far, and I think it's been a rather exceptional journey so far. That being said, I don't feel as though this game is for everyone. I'll start with gameplay first. I haven't had a experience this gratifying since Dark Souls. The struggle encountered through walking miles and miles with baggage in tow does feel truly gratifying. Having to manage weight and balance started with frustration, then quickly moved on to a sheer perseverance, in the face of an absolute want to get those likes, and to help. The gameplay loop has not gotten repetitive for me yet, because for the most part i feel as though it is a relaxing experience. I began to get lost in the myriad packages I was delivering. Eventually, the experience of carrying packages back and forth got a bit easier with the help of acquired vehicles and exosuit upgrades. On the topic of vehicles. The only issue I had is with the clunkiness of the motorcycle .The world design is beautiful. It is barren, lifeless and extremely atmospheric. The world as well, began to shift, as more people started adding generators, bridges and highways to the game. The feeling of helping out any of the player is gratifying in it's own right, coupled with the likes you receive, and the assistance of other players, creates a positive experience. The soundtrack is absolutely wonderful, it has a good variety of music that has many emotional ranges, from sad and bitter, to happy and uplifting. The sound design has been done extremely well. The tense feeling of creeping through B.T territory is made all the more tense with it's creepy ambient noise and slight shrieks. The same goes for being in MULE territory, which has a combo of intense score and sharp alarms to keep you on your toes. Until you fight either one of the B.T's or MULES. They are incredibly easy to fight, and easier to run away from. As for the story. I have not completed it yet, but from where I sit in the story now, I can say they've done it very well. It's an incredibly cinematic experience, with top notch acting, which creates an emotional atmosphere. Overall I think the game is definitely worth a play through. It's a unique experience that has a lot to offer. The game isn't always "fun" in the regard that most people would use, but it is an intensely rewarding experience in so many ways.… Expand

The main game is literally the annoying fetch side quests you do in other games because you have to have that 100%.This is made worse by the awful, AWFUL, controls, turning boring into frustrating.     Juego aburrido La verdad poco interesante, se vendió como la revolución de los video juegos y no resultó nada más que un fracaso en cuanto a jugabilidad se refiere, su historia puede ayudarlo un poco, pero en cuanto a jugabilidad quedó debiendo mucho, además sus monstruos finales son muy fáciles y nada épicos, intento fallido por parte de kojima.

    Masterpiece. Not many developers would take a risk of creating something new and fresh like this. Game is unlike any other you have played (for better or worse, it depends on you). Best comparison would strangely be close to Journey (2012), where you traverse a large space to explore and learn about this unique world of Death Stranding.     death stranding ha demostrado ser algo mas que un videojuego, es una experiencia unica, una banda sonora increible, una historia muy interesante y la satisfaccion que te da poder caminar por todo el mapa y poder apreciar su naturaleza es algo que otros juego no te daran.

    Incredibly pretentious, brazen faced vanity project. It's astonishing how many "journalists" have taken the bait and proclaimed this ridiculous clump of pseudointellectual, faux-highbrow nonsense a masterpiece. Hideo Kojima has become the Darren Aronofsky of video games.

    It's pretty, sure. But those cutscenes drag forever. Story is incoherent. Gameplay is lame & repetitive. Everything about this screams narcissism. Art direction is fabulous, but i'm rating a game not a movie. Hard pass! Don't buy this full price!

    Phenomenal game, I'm only 6 hours in but the time has flown by. There is a lot of walking but when a game is as stunning as this, you really don't mind and the story so far is excellent.

If you are playing a game just to get “prestige mode” or grind to unlock a skin like cod or something then this isnt for you.     Not a disaster but not the masterpiece many credit it as. Visually gorgeous, it's very clear that the team has put in a lot of hard work creating this world and ensuring that the system holds up for it. It's just a shame the story and gameplay can't live up to it.

    This game is not for everyone but it's definitely for me, people give it a zero because it's "too slow pasted for my liking" this game was never advertised as a fast pasted game, people come just for Kojima but that's on them, they should look into the game before buying it, not blindingly buying it just because it's Kojima.

Music was actually pretty good it was one of redeeming qualities of this game for me. Graphics look really well especially on great TV. Overall it was not a revolution in terms of gameplay or anything else in particular as Hideo-san was promising with "stick and rope" interviews he gave, many times before the release. I hope that this game sales well and find it's fans, so that Hideo-san could keep on making more games. But as of know this is not the masterpiece or genre defying game, it's a definition of word "mediocre" that's all.… Expand

    Your successes, failures, deaths, decisions have 0 impact on the story.
    They should have just made a movie. If you want a real intense survival horror with dark atmosphere and philosophy involved then just play S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Anomaly. It's even free.

    The story is amazing, graphics and performance are good. But the gameplay is different from other games as more fetch quest, but what is between the quest the terrain that makes it something different and challenging, it more then a walking simulator.

    A pretty boring experience. All you do in this game is walk from point A to point B delivering packages and watching cutscenes. That's literally all you do. Don't forget to grab your pillow.

    This game is very interesting and shrouded in mystery. After playing the game for 8 hours I can say I am really enjoying this game! Something different, FINALLY! Instead of the same recycled crap. HATS OFF to Kojima and His team for giving us this fantastic game!

    Death Stranding is creating a new game genre and therefore paves its own path towards more interactive experiences. It is a brave work thanks to its novelty, which fortunately is not a bragging right for its creators, as it may have seemed, but an exceptional title that will reward the brave who play it.     This game does manage to be fun, even if it is one of the heaviest experiences of 2019. Everything from story to gameplay is begging to be dissected, filled with imagery and symbolism -- just like so many Kojima games before this one. Entering Death Stranding, it’s likely that we all thought Kojima’s calling card was lengthy cutscenes and stealth and action gameplay.

    Death Stranding stands as a powerful author’s game which drives a strong message of how our over-connected society is evolving, and how we can help other players. Unlike many AAA games, it shines on a truly spiritual level. Well written, engaging and visually magnificent, it offers, despite some pacing flaws, an astonishing solo game with elegant multiplayer elements. A unique representation of Hideo Kojima’s talent.
