Not here to review bomb. But to speak about an honest experience. Secondly what does Cyberpunk truly do that is so ambitious? Multiple avenues of approach? Several games do that. Multiple endings? Again many games do that! Large open world? Again, done many times before. What's truly so ambitious?

Cyberpunk is riddled with bugs. From textures not loading in for several seconds, characters faces not moving while talking (and people had the nerve to mock ME: Andromeda over this), characters in T Poses, and inanimate objects killing the main character. And the framerate is horrendous. Unplayable at times.

And the graphics? Certainly do not match the several showcases,, not even on a High End PC build.. Complete false advertisement! The resolution is horrible, sub full HD in the era of 2160P. To say that I look forward to the free PS5 "upgrade" would be a lie. It is obviously at least 6 months away with the current state of the PS4 (Pro), Xbox One (X), and even PC, it's unlikely that it will be impressive. It's obvious that just the currently released Cyberpunk 2077 needed another 6 months. Let alone 3 different next gen versions

Performance, as in frames per second or texture pop-in is not a problem at all. That aspect, unlike the unfortunate folks on a base PS4 or even a Pro, is fine on a PS5. However, everything else is a horrible mess.

    Pros:
•The city is beautiful and it's great to sight see.
    •Very good visual design aesthetic
    •The story is somewhat engaging

    Cons: Everything else.
•This game has stupid AI from 2005
•The vehicle and people physics are also from poor
    •Bugs, bugs, bugs
    •Crashes are a problem even on a PS5
•Lack of immersion due to all of the above
•The city is empty of things to do

I recognize that the primary concern of most console players is performance on the last gen. But even if that gets patched up to be somewhat playable, this is still a terrible game. The AI, the physics, the lack of interactivity and the overall emptiness are problems that could not be fixed in a year or more of patches. With a giant open world game in a city, we expect more.

Cyberpunk is ultimately going to be compared to GTA V, and it fails on all fronts even though GTA V is 5 years older. CD Projekt Red utterly wasted 8 years working on this game and this is all they could come up with. The game needs more than bug patches or performance improvements. In my eyes, even after all the time they blew on it, the game is only halfway done. Witcher 3 was great but the company may not recover.

The last thing that needs to be mentioned - Media critics reviews. There's been a trend lately of somewhat bad games getting great reviews from the media. Previously it was The Last of Us Part 2, and now it's Cyberpunk 2077. Slowly, the public is learning to not trust the media with game reviews anymore. With The Last of Us Part 2, at least the game had high production value, minimal bugs and was only dragged down by a horrible story and direction. But Cyberpunk... Poor on all counts and still getting 10/10 from many media reviews - some of who are now backtracking on their reviews after all the sh1t hit the fan. The bottom line - trust users scores MORE than media reviews.

    The Bad
    Buggy and unfinished product
    Hard to follow at times

What was CDPR thinking of releasing a game in this state? The performance is woeful at time. Simple animations just freaking out, slow load times when opening the map/menu, some really basic stuff that there's really no excuse for. Performance isn't great and CDPR will have lost a lot of goodwill by deceiving players. Personally, I'm of the opinion that The Witcher 3 wasn't great at launch but they turned that around. Admittedly, this is a big mountain to climb but I have faith they will make it right.

All the bugs aside, I have found it pretty enjoyable. I'm enjoying the narrative more than I thought I would but it can be a slog when they start chatting about tech like you're supposed to know wtf they're talking about. The game suffers from the common problem that all open-world games face in today's gaming landscape and that is they all feel flat and dull. A massive city, nobody around. The ones that are around ain't doing **** which, kinda makes sense narratively for this corpo world. It used to be ok 10, 20 years ago but players expect a bit of feel and buzz in their open-world experiences. Pair the lack of buzz with and NPC sitting on thin air or leaning on a wall but a good 2 feet away from it and verisimilitude goes right out the window.

Character creation has plenty of options for you to create whatever weirdo you want. The ability to choose full nudity is a great inclusion and something I hope to see more of in mature games going forward. I thought for sure Sony would censor it. Matters like this should always be given to the individual to decide and not be told by companies that you can't see this. We have age ratings for a reason. Your outfit is your armour in this game which is nice. Means you can walk around in shorts and a vest without losing armour but, the best amour I have seen so far tends to come in the form of bigger, heavier items that are fit for purpose, which makes sense. Just once I would like my pink hotpants to protect me more than combat gear, sigh. 1 thing that has annoyed me is the lack of a hide armour feature. Unless I'm an idiot and have missed it somewhere, you cant choose to hide any clothes. I really want to hide my hat and mask slots but it doesn't seem to be possible.

Seen a lot of people complain about the driving and I don't know what to tell you. It's basic and serves a purpose. I haven't found it too bad. This is an FPS/RPG, not Gran Turismo.

Overall there's still a lot of work that needs to be done to bring this game up to its full potential. CDPR were kind of the last bastion of a safe and trusted developer for many gamers. But first impressions matter, ask Anthem, ask Marvel Avengers. It's what you will be remembered for and Cyberpunk is going to be, I think for a lot of people, remembered more for what it's done to CDPRs reputation rather than a game that was what seems to be, too ambitious in its reach.

I will keep the faith for now that CDPR will keep working on Cyberpunk to make it the best it can be. And I believe they will in their own way, try to make it up to their audience, which is more than can be said for the rest of the AAA crowd. But they are on thin **** ice in my book. Because you can't tell me this game has spent 7, 8 years in development and release something of this quality. It would be a different story if this was another yearly or biennial title like AC has become. You would expect this level of quality. But 8 years!!! It's actually worse.

Mixed experience with this game. The strengths of this game are the open-world experience with great character development, missions, and choices which offer replayability. Unfortunately, the constant bugs and crashes, even on next gen hardware detail this experience. Would recommend playing this on either pc or waiting until a true next gen version later in 2021.

My initial score after launch? 0/10

Disappointing performance. Didn’t take to the lies. Deinstalled the game. I reinstalled it after patch 1.05 Running better. My hardware PS4 PRO with external SSD. Visuals appear better. Most of the vaseline is gone. Still far away from what was advertised on high end PCs. But enjoyable. Way less bugs. One can see the vision of Night City.

Running better. My hardware PS4 PRO with external SSD.
Visuals appear better. Most of the vaseline is gone. Still far away from what was advertised on high end PCs. But enjoyable. Way less bugs.

One can see the vision of Night City. Great architecture of the city. Very engaging quests. Great immersion. I can sense how much effort was put in to create the quest gameplay.

Strong contrast to other undercooked parts of the game though.
The whole inventory menu feels lackluster. No subway just teleport points! Guess it wasn’t ready at launch.
The driving is weird. Could have used an autopilot to target location. Or a more advanced GPS guiding system.

I can see what CDPR has aimed for. BEST RPG, BEST GRAPHICS, BEST IMMERSION.
In order to achieve this it needed to be worked on a bit longer.
One can see the vision of night city. But the gameplay does not deliver.
One can see the immersion of main story quests and some side quests, but all other systems feel undercooked and do not deliver.

Can’t forgive the deception and the lies though.
CDPR should have scrapped the last gen versions alltogether. THIS IS A NEXT GEN GAME!

My admiration to the DEVELOPERS. My middle finger to the management. They wanted to make all the money! Shame!

Otherwise, appart from the occasional bug it crashes once per hour. Not great but serviceable.

Beyond all the bugs and performance issues... it is just a mediocre game that does not deliver....sadly!

The challenge is the game is so glitched. Graphics are somewhat improved with patch 1.05 however some items remain blurry beyond recognition. NPC's are terrible. Traffic will not render. Cars simply disappear after starring at them for a bit like a mirage. I'm attempting to finish all side quests but I'm pretty sure a couple of mine are bugged which will prevent me from getting the platinum trophy.

I never thought I would be writing a negative review for a game I was looking forward to.
I am playing on the PS5 and this is still unacceptable. For a game touted as a "next-gen" why wasn't the next gen version available at launch? 7 years.... This game took 7 years. The textures look muddy and blurry on the PS5 on a 4k screen. The HDR doesn't work properly and ends up washing out colors.

Nightcity and it's characters are the only redeemable quality right now and with even that there are tons of problems and missing features. I am genuinely baffled that this was allowed to happen. Right now this has to be one of the biggest disappointments in recent memory to happen. This isn't good at all and CD project red needs to get their sh*t together. ASAP.

While shallow in other aspects like lack of customization, lack of AI driving, and lack of different personalities you can act as in a RPG(for example in fallout 3 and NV you could act very chivalrous, as an indifferent merc, a dick, or a lunatic. In 2077 you can only act as a smart ass edgy merc) that definitely disappoint, it's still a wonderful immersive open world game. However the performance of this game is outright unacceptable, and a disgrace since CDR intentionally kept this hidden. I won't go into the PS4 base performance as there are plenty of user reviews here covering that, but I've been playing the game on PS5 via backwards compatibility. While FPS are smooth and pop ins aren't too bad (relatively), everything looks blurry and underdeveloped, annoying glitches that can disrupt gameplay, a severe lack of NPCs and cars when driving, NPCs and cars will fade in and out of existence like ghosts, and frequent crashes every 2 hours of playing. One time a crash even forced my PS5 to shutdown. Overall there IS a good game in there made by creative and passionate developers, but seemingly it was unfortunately hijacked by greedy executives who wanted to make a quick profit off the hype from the marketing and released an unfinished and horribly optimized game that can only reach close to its potential on a high end PC and deceived many console users spending 60 bucks on this. The positive notes of this game are the soundtrack, which is absolutely stellar, and the rare glimpses of a great atmosphere and vision that could have been. I've experienced four crashes in the first 7 and a half hours, multiple glitches and bugs, and the graphical fidelity, including anti-aliasing and fuzziness, is bad. Sometimes the character models look great and you can see what might've been. Other times, you notice the blocky, blotchy textures, which, I guess, is to be expected for an open-world PS4 game.

    The shooting isn't very fun.

Sometimes the character models look great and you can see what might've been. Other times, you notice the blocky, blotchy textures, which, I guess, is to be expected for an open-world PS4 game.

The shooting isn't very fun. There is no controller rumble when you shoot and it feel unsatisfying. The quests are pretty standard for an RPG, but navigating the map is a chore. Exploring is a little bit of fun, but it gets old pretty quickly. The maps are big and impressive, but there's not much to interact with or do outside of experiencing various features for the first time. The RPG elements feel tacked on and inconsequential.

My favorite part of this game is just exploring each area once and gawking at the last-gen graphics. It's disappointing that CDPR didn't send out console codes for reviewers because I would've liked to know what I was getting into when I bought the game.

Now in all fairness I look to upgrade to the PS5 (whenever I can get my hands on it) I hope the the OS will greatly improve upon where this game is lacking now.

The storyline and combat system are quite enjoyable while I feel the driving mechanics are lackluster and the crash animation is non existent in comparison to other games the utilize vehicles. Here's to hoping future patches fix these issues. See you in Night City!

So then I pick up the game on launch and all my fears were confirmed within the first 3 hours of playing it after waiting for 4 hours for the install & day one patch update.

Graphics - very low res and muddy. Looks like I'm playing a ps3 era game. Pop-in was prevalent while traversing the world. In fairness I did turn off all graphic options and it cleaned up a little but not enough to make a significant difference.

Crashes....Let me just say that they exist.........

Framerate.....it was terrible and very noticeable. Can you say "pull the trigger, then the gun fires 1 second later....then you die magically because you had been lit up by people you didn't know were firing at you." Yeah it is a problem.

Needless to say I played it for 3 plus hours, turned it off, uninstalled it, and put it on my shelf for when / if PS5 becomes more available for the masses. Wouldn't waste time trying to trudge through the fallout-esq trials you will certainly face on a base PS4. It will ultimately ruin the experience for you.

This is the score this looter shooter with an interactive movie in it deserves as "THE MOST BELIEVABLE OPEN WORLD RPG IN HISTORY"

    Graphics 8/10
It's not 10/10 because they downgraded the graphics and choose not to wait and release all the versions. I've got to play a PS4 version (which is pretty bad) on PS5 while the High-end PC people are the chosen ones here.

    Music 10/10
    Sounds and immersion 10/10

    Story 6/10
How to say it. the main story with Silverhand it's kinda cool but it's almost like they forgot to place the game between this long interactive movie which is fun only at the beginning but after that, it becomes clear the 48 minutes gameplay video, all the other promotional stuff and the wire episodes was lies to hype people and sell more copies.

Ah, also they've just spoiled the first 2-3 hours of the game with all the promotional stuff. not some stuff was spoiled. What you see in the trailers is exactly the first 3 hours of the game.

    Night City 6/10
is amazing to look and just walk around but is empty. After a while you will get the sensation this is an early alpha. "The most believable city in an open world game to date" my ass.
The NPC's are there to fill the empty space. they are the same as trash cans and post boxes. the same IA was put in NPC's and trash cans. vendors are not selling anything. A little detail, in one of the trailers there was elevators moving up and down, like to suggest other NPC's will take the elevators but it's not true. No one is doing nothing. they just walk.

    Customization 6/10
pretty bad that once you've created the character at the beginning you cannot change anything. You cannot see yourself in mirrors or reflections in the environment. No cut-scenes in 3rd person. Nothing. just in the inventory when you cannot even zoom the character and see it properly. They also censor a loot nudity. The adult content and the romance options are heavily limited. The sex in this game is seen mostly like a parody, like making jokes about people being obsessed with sex in the future. Whatever. Maybe is just me but I saw some kind of message like, sexual freedom is bad and stuff. Like this is a catholic game?

    NPC's walk animations 3/10
Horrible. It' reminds me GTA 3, 20 years ago when I was teen...wow

    Combat AI 4/10
pretty bad and basic. The same sensation over and over. This is an unfinished game. The stealth stuff also clunky. Most the time you will fail to sneak because of bad level design and stupid IA.
In combat you'll stuck in an angle or an asset and die thinking "This wasn't a challenge. This is just bad design." and I played TLoU part I and II on grounded so I know what a challenge looks like.

    Inventory 6/10
ugly. You cannot see stuff. the icons are small. I have difficulty read because of the text is red on blue background. my eyes hurt when I try read in this game. and there's a loot of interesting stuff to read.

    Car driving 7/10

    Cars IA and physics 2/10
simply a joke. same care as for combat IA and NPC's IA.

    Looting 3/10
You will pick trash and not even that interesting and after that just destroy it in generic crafting parts. you will not have nothing to collect, nothing to use to build stuff. it's too generic and force you to often to watch at the ground. why everything to pick is on the ground? Obviously all the looting mechanics was hide in the 48 minutes gameplay video. they hide the ugly part of the gameplay that reminds you at every corner that this is just a game.

If you read until the end here's my real opinion about this game. they make it broken and ugly on purpose. They wanted this to be a Sean murray business model. don't give to the customers what they want so we will continue to hype over this game for next 5 years. endless hype for the next dlc or patch that will magically make this game the promised experience. but like in No man's Sky they will keep it ugly and unfinished. They're not the good guys. they're corpo. Just my personal opinion.

In the past few days the game has crashed to the home screen at least 6 separate times. Once, I tried to play the game and got an error that my console couldn't start it for some reason. Had to delete it off the PS5 and reinstall it to fix that issue.

Through all of this, I persisted to play through the game, because despite the endless parade of bugs, and glitches, at least it ran stable enough to enjoy it on the PS5. But for some reason, today when I started playing, I was driving around the city and I noticed muddy textures on the streets, buildings, etc. It was taking a few seconds for objects to fully load into the world. If I drove too fast, I'd fall through the street because it hadn't yet loaded.

Then, I tried getting through one of the racing side jobs and kept going the wrong way because the waypoint arrows weren't loading on the track fast enough for my vehicle. I got so frustrated I shut the game down and said F this!

I actually love the game, but I refuse to force myself through this marred experience any further. It's like watching a blurry cam bootleg of a movie you were dying to see - sure, you get to find out how the story plays out, but it's a garbled mess. I've decided to put this game on hiatus until they fix the problems on the PS4 version. I might even wait until they release the PS5 version proper.

Buy it on PC, DO NOT BUY ON PS4/PS5, despite CD Projekt Red saying they will allow refunds, sony is saying that a broken game that is unplayable and crashes is not eligible for a refund because it is not "faulty"... The game is great, however this should have been pushed back another couple of months. The fact that Sony will not refund either is horseshttt, the game is obviously broken. NPC and Police AI being well dead just lifeless.
The skill tree has not impressed me and for the most part I go around with several levels and points to add but dont because many of the options seem like they just dont do much..
The inventory system is well annoying. There are so many different screens to look at your inventory and to mod or breakdown weapons and clothes that I find my self hopping around so much just to mod or upgrade or change a weapon im holding.. Its frustrating in the least.

I didnt spend too much time in the character creator thinking well this is Cyberpunk ill get to change my hair or mod my appearance or add cybernetics to my face later right... Well no you cant any of it your stuck with what you made..

Same for cars no customization... Same for weapons I thought maybe paint jobs etc.. .Nope..

But it is fun the story is thrilling at times and makes me feel immersed. All the loot is just so fun when you find something cool. The world is pretty and I love just walking around..

Gun play Melee and stealth mechanics are all kind of clunky...

The difficulty and leveling of certain encounters can be from too easy to too difficult on the same street. I often got frustrated at some of the difficulty thrown at when on easy even not understanding that random encounters on the street are leveled and you shouldnt be engaging every encounter which breaks immersion.

I am still very addicted to playing the game but not sure how long it will last.. As I find my heart broken on what I thought I would get just time after time not being there.

I now question what did I expect was it really realistic did CD Project Red want the game to be too much and didnt deliver on any one thing completely.

Perhaps we all wanted too much...

Aside from the main story and side quests however there is no content with anywhere near the substance marketing, interviews and gameplay features would you have you believe. You'll spent most of the game wearing the gear with the most armor looking like a clown, build meaningful relationships with a handful of characters that ultimately are shallow are don't have many choices that matter and kill some fools with fairly standard gunplay. 30-60 hours of content with main story/core side stories. I am someone who frequently spends 100-200 hours on a game like this and have done in the recent Assassin Creeds/Final Fantasies and The Witcher 3 and was looking forward to doing the same in Cyberpunk but just can't justify it.

Not as buggy as people would you have you believe, but enough so that it can be extremely annoying at times and after particularly annoying progression blocking bugs occurred a few times I did have to step away to chill before looking up how to get past them.

At first, I really liked the game, I really liked the world and despite some minor technical mistakes like fps drops and textures loading late, it was enjoyable at least. But after the introduction of Johnny Silverhand and Alt Cunningham, the game took an really uninteresting turn, the more i played, the more i lost my interest and after a total of nearly 25 hours of gameplay, I returned it. At one point, because of the bugs and all of the quality drops the game was in an state that was unplayable. I think that Cyberpunk had so much potential that was wasted in bad writing, plot holes and rushing the game’s release date all the time. If you’re an fan of futuristic stuff and the work of Phillip K. Dick, you will probably like this game due to it’s world and it’s story, but if you’re a person that played really good games like RDR2, Witcher 3, God Of War and Souls-like games, you will probably hate this game, it will feel like an really huge drop in quality after those games. In my opinion, this game is a waste of time, but if one of your friends has this and you want to check it out, do it that way and don’t buy the game if you want to try it. Expand

Played on the PS5. It's an average RPG game.
Would give it a 6.5 if it wasn't for the false marketing/crashes/glitches.

    Bad

    - Nothing to explore really. Like there is, but after 30 hours everything just feels the same. If you compare Fallout and Bioshock. All there is, is clubs, same apartments, houses, and strip joints. Like I wish there was more exploration.
    - Superlinear game where choices don't matter.
    - Crashes all the time.
    - Your character becomes OP within 15 hours. So there's no challenge.
    - You can't change your player's appearance.
    - The map is so close where you find yourself hitting the walls all the time.
    - Not replayable for now at least.

    Okay
    - Storyline. Something about it is forgetful which is a shame. I can tell the first 10 hours is amazing, but later on, you can tell it was just rushed out.
    - Characters. Okay, the characters are great. The problem is, a lot of these characters don't have enough air time where I feel personal/attached.

Overall, it's an average open world game after multiple playthroughs. The world is unconvincing and the majority of side content is bland and uninspired.

Hacking, what was thought to be a key part of the game was boiled down to quickhacking. A feature which is severely lacking in depth.

Despite that, the story still is pretty decent. With intriguing characters but poorly paced missions.

I prefer Playstation due to their focus on narrative games. For scoring, I’ll be using the Gameinformer review scale and of coursed influenced by my personal opinions.

(5)Flawed. It may be obvious that the game has lots of potential, but it’s most engaging features could be undeniably flawed or not integrated into the experience.

To start off I didn’t buy in the marketing that Cyberpunk is going to be bringing the genre to a new level. I loved how CD Project did on The Witcher 3 but I knew they were going to be out of there element. There was a bunch of bugs at lunch but I didn’t experience anything that made it unplayable or that would make me restart and lose a bunch of progress. Everything that I experienced was things like cars falling from the sky and things loading in way too slow/last minute. I was disappointed there were bugs but I still was able to experience the campaign without being annoyed by the bugs. I thought the campaign was good but too short and didn’t expand on the world. Unlike the Witcher 3 this game story didn’t want you to stick around and experience the little things. I was also disappointed in the graphics. Overall, it's not as bad as people say but still has it's issues.

Having said that, I can't recommend this game in its current state. The number of bugs, many of which have crashed the game for me, is simply unacceptable in an allegedly AAA title. The graphics are nothing special (though I understand there is a lot of pop-in and slow texture loading on the base PS4) and the sound requires a lot of tinkering in the settings menu to get to an acceptable level. I found myself cringing for my neighbor's sake when the game would inexplicably blast heavy bass in background music, enough to rattle furniture, despite other sound elements being at a normal level.

It's not all bad. The story is interesting, and the voice acting is good. The gameplay systems are fun, even though some of the RPG elements appear designed to force the player into crafting their character into a min-max archetype. Certain perks and abilities require that you invest heavily into their associated stat, which could be good or bad. You also contend with both experience points and "street cred" points, which is odd, considering that you typically get both in equal measure.

Having said that, some of the systems don't seem to have been fully fleshed out. There is a crafting system, but not much to craft. By the time you can afford decent crafting plans and materials, you will be finding gear that is as good or better than you can make. You can earn crafting xp, which grants various bonuses as you level up, but without a good reason to craft, it's just another number to watch increase. Tutorials could have also been better. I was several hours in before I realized that I had items I could slot into my various cyber implants.

Overall, I would usually say give this one a few months to get the bugs ironed out. However, this game has been in the making for years. That this is what they have to show for all those years of work does not create confidence that the devs will be able to polish this one to an acceptable level. If you must play it, wait a few months. I expect spring '21 will see this one at half price.

The technical performance of Cyberpunk 2077 on Playstation 4 consoles is simply unacceptable. Hard crashes every few hours, soft locks, bizarre graphical and physics glitches, single-digit frames per second when things get hectic, and graphics on par with late PS3 titles. Every single thing you do in the game is 'go here and shoot this' when they promised a hugely immersive world with tons to do. A world where you could build your rep and such. At first I enjoyed myself doing some side jobs before starting the first big mission to grab the Relic. Well, as soon as I got the Relic all sorts of nonsense started to happen. Glitches and crashes seemed to happen more but I was also suddenly flooded with 20-30 jobs. People you haven't even met yet call and text you out of nowhere offering missions or cars for sale. I literally walked around for 30 mins getting flooded with nonsense! Let's talk about that Delamain quest where you have to retrieve his lost vehicles. Why in god's name is this not ONE quest with 8 objectives? Instead CDPR made it into 9 separate quests!? It's as if nobody at CDPR ever played any other RPG in their life and is a perfect example of all the missed opportunities they had to really make this game work.

I feel like they spent all their time just getting the thing to run on consoles and no time fixing the multitude of blunders littered throughout this game.

Including when Jackie is dying and handover the chip the chip was replaced with a giant pistol which took up half scene and just distracted from the moment entirely. First off, I will say that this game is one of the most missed opportunities in gaming history. The stroy is actually unique and interesting, however the game is a major glitch fest and ruins what may have been a classic game. I played this on ps5, so I have no issue with reported horrid frame rates.

+ Very nice city design and atmosphere with detailed environments.
+ Interesting story and many varied dialogue options.
    + decent acting.

    - Cluttered and confusing menus.
    - Politics and some woke themes forced in.
    - Horrendous Collison and driving physics
    - Glitches galore! Too many to mention, including game crashing!
    - limited side activities.
    - Some invisible walls during missions.
    - Police chases are very weak.

I wanted to love this game, but there was just too many reasons to be disappointed. Maybe a complete edition will come out in a few years and fix this mess. Until then I give it a fail mark of 4/10.

With COVID, this game should have been released in Q4 2023. But AAA games aren't going to be worked on for three more years after released, so I believe this game will never be what it was intended. It would take three years of a studio full time to have brought this game to "RDR2 levels", which CDPR themselves claimed. It's that unfinished when coming from a studio that made W3 and in an age of GTAIV even, should have been the minimum bar for cars, physics, and player customization? So this game is a lost cause. Not by lack of skill or effort from the talent at CDPR, but from upper management forcing this game through. You could blame the death threats that were being doled out every time this game got delayed, but part of that is the amount of times it was delayed. Dying Light 2 comes to mind. It was slated to release Q1 2020, but then just got pushed back indefinitely. Sure, people were upset, but not near as upset when there are three push-backs (April, Sept, Oct, Dec).

Now, let's talk about playability: The very first time I booted up the game, it failed. I booted it up again, knowing the PS4 was underpowered for this game, and immediately turned down the settings in the main menu. I then couldn't even back out of the settings menu, and restarted the game. I was told the games settings file was corrupted, and have since seen a dozen or so crashes in a dozen or so play hours. Cars flying everywhere, characters getting stuck in walls, music, physics, and a slew of other bugs are rampant. I can have faith those will eventually get patched, and I'll be getting a PS5 later this year and was offered a free digital copy on that console, so not too terribly focused on that right now. I should be, but the state of the core gameplay fully overshadows it. There are some really cool parts of the game as well as details, but this game can't even touch the sandbox worlds of even GTA:SA or RDR1, as well as the RPG and details of the the Witcher 3. I have much respect for CDPR, but thinking upper management will probably turn this studio into the other top AAA studios; they'll eventually cut their losses and move on to their next game long before this game will be anywhere near where it should have been. I could go on and on. I can post a video of heavy glitches and bugs for every five minutes in-game! I could compare the lack luster game aspects to Saints Row 2 and a Mafia game and come out behind even those games, but I'll stop here. Sure, not many other games like this to play right now, so some people might as well buy it and enjoy it. But the new top brass at CDPR has ruined an opportunity to release a game of the decade, and will potentially ruin one of my favorite studios forever. Absolutely soul crushing for me...

I am currently at Act 2 and if I overlook all the glitches then I am still disappointed.

    From a base PS4 perspective.
    - The fps drops massively.
    - The cars feel bad to drive with.
    - The guns feel bad to shoot with.
    - The Dualshock interactions have delayed actions.
    - The tutorials and instructions are massive.
    - The menu is bad is mainly PC-mouse focused. Using the d-pad gives slow navigation. Besides you cannot use the d-pad in certain parts of the menu and the mouse curser is always visible, it will never disappear.
    - The camera is always in first-person which makes mediocre cinematography. Thankfully you can zoom out of the car.
    - The open world is difficult to navigate through because the mini map dominates the experience. I have to look at the mini map when making a turn which makes me do lots of 180 degree turns. The game does no guide me on the road (Arkham Knight or Tsushima) or guides with an advanced compass (God of War).
    - The characters are boring especially V, since I do not know the motivations that drives the character.
    - The loading screens takes forever!
+ I do like the RPG elements where different choices makes a big impact especially the past since it gives more choices.
+ The guns have lots of varieties.
+ Body parts are varieties as well.
    + Game playthroughs are varied.
    + Lots of vehicles.

    From a marketing perspective.
    - Cyberpunk 2077 should not have been a current gen game, only a next-gen game.

The graphics are where it can be very noticeable. Sometimes buildings, cars and people look amazing and smooth, however most of the time I'm seeing pop-in and draw distance issues even when I'm trying not to notice them. Far too many times have I seen characters flail around like a ragdoll due to glitches. Far too many times I go to draw my gun but the graphics for it do not load, resulting in my character looking like a deadly street mime. There were even times where I would run into an area ready for a fight only for the enemies not to have loaded properly yet, meaning when they do I am stood right in the middle and die within seconds. These things happen far too often to overlook.

The gameplay is still an incomplete mess. Buttons do not respond when I'm trying to answer my phone or get into vehicles. At one point I couldn't activate an elevator because an NPC engaged me in conversation en-route, but I was given no indication of this. The upgrade system and menu layouts in general are very messy and far from user-friendly. There are a nice range of guns but I found myself constantly running out of ammo as enemies absorbed my bullets like raindrops. The driving is maddeningly stiff and unresponsive. Lots of smaller game design choices are bewildering, such as forcing action to pause when I want to change channels on the radio. It's very easy to get trapped into dialogue where there is no 'goodbye' option, forcing me to walk away to end the conversation. These are all things that should really have been picked up well before six months into the launch.

The story is Cyberpunk's best feature at present, and that's unfortunate because it's unlikely anyone will tolerate the game enough to get that far. I could only make it as far as Keanu Reeves' introduction before deciding to quite the game and leave it on my shelf until it's more playable. It's not the most coherent of stories in the opening hours, so I'm assuming it ties together better as you play through it.

In summary, Cyberpunk 2077 had a disastrous launch and still remains on the backfoot six months later. Even on my PS4 Pro it was massively struggling. The fan sounded insane as it struggled to run the game. This is not due to poor technology - this is poor game design. The game plays more like a beta version or an early demo. I waited six months to give them a chance to patch the game but it looks like at least another six months will be needed before it can be an enjoyable experience. Avoid.

Do not buy until they’ve patched this game Looks like a ps3 launch title on PS4 pro, looks better on Xbox one X so if you have to play it on non next gen console play it on Xbox one x

If Sony pulling the game from PS Store doesn't tell you the game is bad I don't know what does.

I don't know what to say, I am not giving it 0 per se of course considering there is gameplay and there is story. But the quality they have delivered is beyond abomination. Technical issues such as performance, sound, and graphic makes this game horrifying at whole level of all those aspects. Low res character model, buggy gameplay, off texture, blurry wodesign, and so more

I launched Cyberpunk 2077 on my PS4 Slim several weeks after the release and most of the bugs were fixed, so I was able to play the game from start to finish. However, the quality of textures was painfully low, I usually had only 20-22 frames per second while driving around the city (with dips below 20), and some objects tended to disappear. The technical state and graphics of the PS4 version are awful, which is a shame, because the game itself has one of the best stories I have ever encountered, its gunplay is really good, and Night City is very impressive. Cyberpunk 2077 is a game brimming with potential, and it damn near reaches it on so many occasions, but the pitfalls of its development ultimately drag it down. There's still a lot to like here for RPG fans and lovers of the genre, but it's far from the generation-defining masterwork that the world was waiting for.
