    This could have been the best Call of Duty story campaign, but crappy politics ruined it. Infinity Ward should be ashamed of themselves. Almost 1/5 of the relatively short campaign are just episodes of russian soldiers and generals committing all possible sorts of war crimes. Some of them just don't make any sense. The game eventually blames Russia for all problems of the Middle East.This could have been the best Call of Duty story campaign, but crappy politics ruined it.     I bet the following games will show people of other countries in the same disguisting way. Like evil chinese soldiers raping women, evil irani soldiers burning children with fire, etc. If the american government doesn't like a certain country, then Infinity Ward will make it look as evil as possible.    … Expand

    If in-detail: I am true fan of Call of Duty since 2004 and first Modern Warfare. I liked the script of original story line and I didn't find it rusophobic at all, even well-known mission in MW2. which was part of the plot. But this time CoD really crossed the line...

    Russia, as a country, in this game: Violence without any particular reason and against mostly women and children. Physcho general [statements by media that he is a rogue one didn't confirmed], serving and promoted by the country. Continious statements from particular heroes of the game about killing Russians and accusing them in terrorism. There are few more details, but this is just to frame a picture.

    Main heroes of the game: Tough guys making uneasy but logical decisions for greater good.

    I don't think this is how well-announced 'gray morale' looks like.

    I see lots of reviews, where people is trying to claim that this is really how Russia looks like.
    Long story short: Guys, if you didn't attend history lessons, please google [Name of Country] war crimes, specifically good guys wanna-be, and you will find lots of interesting stuff there, which is heavily connotating with this game. But if you aspire to see Russia this way, it's a different story...

    From pure game perspective: nice graphs, but not impressed, mechanics from previous games. Nothing special, will return to BFV.    … Expand

    I was really looking forward to this game, especially with the cross platform capabilities I would finally be able to play with all my friends. Unfortunately it ended up being possibly one of the worst COD's i've ever played. It has an atrocious camping problem.     A very nasty feeling after this game. It is especially amazing how much the developer hates Russian people. In the future I have no desire to buy games from these developers. P.S. I have only one question, How brainless Russian were able to capture an entire country and why is it difficult for American and British troops to fight against them if Russian solders are so stupid? But the funny thing that there was mission were chick telling us about Highway of Death and how Russians attacked the convoy of innocent people, nothing special for CoD...but thing is that is the real road in Iraq and in 1991 American and British force attacked that convoy, and I laughed when game tell me "no no no it wasn't American it was Russians" I felt like I'm watching like kids blaming one ich other and I'm thinking "Wait dev promised us a "gray moral" story how come they didn't show us that moment how it was in real ? Isn't it about war is bad and mistakes happens? About how fcked up people can be in a time of war? Isn't it about America or British or Japan or China or etc did sh1t too?" Strange very strange logic of "gray moral" dev have didn't think it's about blaming and showing stupidity only from one side.
    Well as I wrote before who cares about the CoD campaign, this game doesn't need a campaign it's about wp. The campaign itself is boring and too Russophobic not worth my time. Mp amazing.

Between the massive amount of camper catering and the broken bugs that affect not only gameplay but love way up such as straight up not even getting XP after matches as well as equipment not working at all as it's supposed to

    I only gave this game 1 cause it had good campaign, but multiplayer has so many hackers, game crashes too many times, developers are not fixing any thing nor addressing any issues, with all my heart I hope this game dies soon.

    Maps designed to encourage camping father than classic run and gun. if I'd want to play slow and casual (boring) fps game i would play BF series. cod was always run and gun game in my mind, yes there were campers but maps werent designed to encourage camping. the maps in mw are way too big and really simple spawn a spawn b and everyone capms in the building in the middle.

    Чистая клюква, русофобия. За всё плохое, ставлю единицу. Такой ненависти к русским я ещё нигде не видел. Единственное, что спасет эту игру, дак это мультиплеер. И то он не идеален, в нём есть проблемы, по типу неткода и омерзительных карт, в которых кемперят люди, и в это уже невозможно играть.     Infinite claymores with no emps or perks to get through them
    The Challenges are all broken at some point in their line. Voice chat shows my name as people from previous lobbies when i talk. Foot steps sound like a dang elephant.     Cyber Attack allies bodies disappear making it impossible to find the res point in HC
    This is a AAA game that acts like an early access steam indie game....

    Game is broken, horrible MP maps, corner campers, questionable hit detection. matches never hit the score limit since everyone is camping. Thick skill based matchmaking. the campaign is good but around 5 hours long.

    Everything is upside down. Call of Duty has a better solo campaign than multiplayer after many years. We will remember a perfectly scripted war with a dense atmosphere, but we’ll forget about the unbalanced online multiplayer. [Issue#298]

    After a multiplayer-centric episode, the COD fans will be delight with the return of a nervous and strong solo campaign. Modern Warfare is back with old-fashioned gameplay that is more grounded and efficient. The generous amount of content adds some depth to one of the best chapters of the saga to date. Magic!

    Overall Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is a good title that is marred by the expectations that the Modern Warfare name brings with it. The campaign has some really stellar gameplay moments that are brought down by the mediocre plot. Multiplayer was fun but felt a bit like the competition’s output (despite there being no Battlefield release this year) which may be a turn off for some. I don’t think Modern Warfare 2019 has done anything to make me rethink waiting for substantial price drops to play Call of Duty campaigns, because clearly multiplayer is still Activision’s main focus and that’s just not where I get my kicks.
