    Great campaign. Awful multiplayer. A game designed for campers. It's actually sad with all the hype. Hopefully upcoming updated can fox the problem. Otherwise I don't see support for this game on forward.

    This game has good gunplay with great gun sounds. The graphics are impressive and the physics are decent. Other than that, this game is garbage. There is a mandatory patch that I had to download just so I can play the singleplayer. When I buy games with singleplayer, I expect to play it without internet.     The campaign is horrible and it is less than 5 hours long. The story is that same dark and "deep" oscar bait trash we've seen plenty of times in games already. The missions lack variety. The multiplayer is terrible and the developers made the movement extremely unrealistic. It feels like I am playing a low budget Call of Duty clone. The maps are poorly designed and they are too big for a COD game.

    As I said before, this game requires internet. So once the developers decide to switch off the servers, I won't be able to play the campaign or mutliplayer with bots, unless I have the game and patches installed in the console. There is no way I am keeping a garbage game in my console for long, therefore it will end up in the trash can when the servers shut down. I recommend you only get the digital version if is $15 or lower, or just wait until it is free on PS Plus. The physical copy is worthless.    … Expand

    This is not modern warfare. This is literally step child of black ops. If you enjoy 1 shot deaths and 17 shot kills, small clusterfu** maps and awful respawns, you will enjoy this trash. Too bad, the modern warfare series was the only one I enjoyed and this is garbage.

Far too 'tense', simply just takes all the fun out of it. You want to have a dark, war feeling game the campaign works. Why carry it over to the multiplayer? Or if you simply like sticking claymores on a stairwell and sitting in a room waiting for people to walk past the window you might enjoy it as well. TTK is good but TTD doesn't match, you always die faster than you kill anyone, that just adds to the annoyance of it. FPS games are struggling these days, i'm almost really to give up altogether. Feels like devs try to make annoying, highly competitive games instead of trying to make them fun these days. E-sports is real, save the sweat for there.

    In my opinion this is an average game. I played it for a few days, and I'm likely done with it. But I can see how others would enjoy it.

    Campaign: I like how it plays. I enjoyed some of the more open ended segments. However, the story is forced and contrived. I did not enjoy the story at all. And you know what else? I'm an American, and I'm not happy about the story. The game was supposed to be "shocking". And you know what? It's shocking how afraid the writers were to offend anyone. I'm not even going to talk about all the blatant feminism in the game. It's despicable that the game depicts Russians doing things that Islamic extremists have done, and still do. It seems that the writers were afraid to depict a Muslim committing an atrocity. I guess that's not PC. This game was supposed to be depicting modern warfare. Instead it refuses to depict anything that actually happens. What about ISIS? Nope, we get a fictional story that vilifies Russians. It's absurd. And you know what political group wants people to think Russians are evil? If you guessed the extreme left, you'd be right. This game is extreme left propaganda. And you know what else? The highway of death was something us Americans did during Operation Desert Storm. I understand the game is fictional, but come on. The "Campaign" gets a 1/10 for me, because I cannot get immersed in this pile of trash.

    Spec-Ops mode: This mode is complete trash too. I would rate this mode a 2/10. Juggernauts break the whole experience for me. Take Juggernauts away, or nerf them and I can see myself having fun. The last survival game I played, my buddy and I were enjoying ourselves. We had a few close calls, but we were having fun. Then, we got to the wave where you get two juggernauts. After shooting one of them with an RPG, then shooting him in the face with .50cal about 30 times, then having him brush it off and proceed to shoot me, and kill with his minigun I decided that I do not like this game and am done playing it. My buddy and I are both former Infantrymen. So we appreciate the accurate portrayal of weapons and tactics. Of course, it's a COD game. And we don't want a 100% accurate portrayal of combat. But when a guy wearing an EOD suit, wielding a minugun, who is somehow harder to kill then a vehicle comes and kills you. It just breaks any level of immersion we were experiencing at the time. It's just a cheap form of artificial challenge. In the mission, "Door Kick". My buddy and I were communicating, and tactically moving though the level. When we finally got the end, we were killed by a Juggernaut. If this was Doom, I would expect enemies like that. But this is a game that is supposed to be depicting modern warfare. And take it from me, the Juggernaut is just stupid. The 4 player co-op mode is also trash. And I should be able to play it with just a buddy or two with no randos if I don't want to. The Spec Ops mode is a complete and utter disappointment.

    Muliplayer: I enjoyed it for the first couple days. I really enjoy the gunsmith system. The customization is awesome in this game. I also really appreciate the absence of loot creates. The gun play is also really awesome. And the battle bass system is nothing to complain about. I don't care about cosmetics, so I will not purchase it. But I don't feel like the game is trying to nickel or dime me. I have access to all weapons, cammos, and attachments. Overall, the Multiplayer is really good. It's just the people. Everyone seems to be using every cheap trick in the book to get an edge. And a lot of times, I just don't have fun playing it. The campers ruin the game for me. My KD ratio is about at 1, so I'm a pretty average player. But there are just too many games where I just don't have fun because the whole other team will be camping. Walking around the map for a long period of time, not being able to find anyone, dropping dead, then watching the kill-cam to see a the player who killed you not moving and just aiming at a door is not fun at all.

    Overall, the campaign in trash. And multiplayer can be fun in short bursts. The problem is that Spec Ops is so bad, that when I get tired of multiplayer I don't have a relaxing mode to fall back too. Overall, I'm not happy with this game. But I can see how others would really like it. I hate it though.    … Expand

    Este juego no merece llamarse Modern warfare,cod lleva sacando juegos de m***** desde hace un montón de años,y este es también un muy mal juego,con un campaña que no está mal pero no es gran cosa y un multijugador asqueroso lleno de camperos y ratas,el modo spec ops es sin duda el peor ,es una completa basura.No malgasteis vuestro dinero en este juego.

Компания агрессивная и русофобская, серая мораль - русские террористы, остальные герои. Ну и браво Sony которые заранее позаботились о русских игроках и убрали её из магазина еще до начала продаж, учитываяМного новых механик.     the graphics and physics of the weapons are well done, but the plot is disgusting; all actions are not justified and the plot itself is predictable. Moreover, Russians are shown as pure evil. It's disgusting for me to play this game thanks to the developers.

    Lets get the pros out of the way. Your game looks pretty nice, the audio is top notch, and the campaign is enjoyable but ephemeral. Unfortunately, Infinity Ward and its associates probably believed that an attractive coat of paint could mask an ugly, rusty exterior of a battleship that's already sunk to the bottom of the ocean before ever having a chance of leaving its dock. Ok. Before we touch the Multiplayer, lets briefly evaluate spec ops or **** ops because it is designed to bend over and screw anyone or anything that stumbles upon it.

    How can we describe Spec ops? Its like a supremely bad engineering project that's gone horribly wrong. Best described as a burning train, designed by incompetent engineers whom are also on fire, that was let out the gates and sent to a daycare full off blind orphans whom are also on fire. The incinerated firebomb on wheels comes careening down on the unsuspecting orphans and now the community is in an uproar because they want the ghastly wails of injured children to evaporate into oblivion. But secretly the townsfolk are actually upset at the fancy orphanage that swallowed their tax expenses is obliterated, and now they have no home to assimilate all of the baby giraffes born with unnecessarily convoluted necks. Now I ask you. Did what I say strike anyone as coherent? If you're insane..then yes! If youre sane and decided to pick up and play Spec Ops you're probably also insane. Spec ops shows no mercy. it will spawn you into a map and spawn an army that's materializing out of thin air, depression, and confetti right next to you and proceed to violate you. Most people would urge you to close your eyes and take it. I would urge that too. Its either you open your eyes and see a hellscape of juggernaughts lovingly caress you with their mini gun or activision-blizzard (notice how I didnt capitalize their names. They dont deserve it) Devs strip you naked and have you dance on their break room table for the old janitor that's seen the atrocities occur in their gaming studio but being kept quiet because he likes that birth mark on your leg. oh yeah! The kill streaks and whatever had equipment glued to the right d-pad doesnt work. When I restarted the game and it decided to tease me, I was placed in a gunship and that wasn't able to fire a single projectile. It looks like US military is incompetent as well and decided to use their AC-130 for watching you get violated by the neverending masses that showed up for your concert except they all have weapons and you broke all of their hacked terminals. *breathes* Now Multiplayer.

    Crap now I have to remember to breath. But do you want to know what helps with that? Multiplayer because you will be holding your breath and clenching your *** until your body collapses into a wormhole, and what's left of you is the money activision-blizzard will scoop up while taking back their copy of Modern Warfare. Because not even your interdimensional innards covering your mother's basement is worthy enough to even sort of exist in the same temporal plane as their ****** game and your own money. Multiplayer is like a ruthless dominatrix that wants to make your feel really good and thus fails at their job. I have never witnessed a gaming studio devote their lives to try to make their fan base feel good and in doing so make them feel extremely bad. Their map design has interestingly made each Call of Duty pro into a cowardly succubus that craves a building's corner. Not only that, the devs decided to cloak their succubus with capes that turns them invisible and undetectable to the casual player's eye. What makes matters better is each succubus has new designer shoes that are so loud that it reverberates the particles in the air and turns everyone into quantum physicists that can pinpoint your exact location. Now combine that with atrocious maps filled with claymores and your have a game that can only be played in one way. You uninstall it. Then take the beating from the aforementioned janitor because he saw that you enjoyed 2 seconds out of the atrocious multiplayer.

    Final Verdict: 2/10

    Pros: Looks like a woman with a nice round ***

    Cons: A genuine crime against humanity. The greatest technological weapon ever witnessed in the 21st century. We yield to Infinity Ward's tenacity to be pioneers into the growing movement of gaming masochist including critics whom somehow deluded themselves that their beating from that pervy old janitor was somehow a good thing.    … Expand

If you're on the fence on buying this game, wait a month and see what everyone thinks (wait for the honeymoon phase to pass).     The footsteps in multi player are SOOO LOUD! My neighbors filed a noise complaint because they thought I was stomping around my apartment. Sarcasm obviously. For real though the foot steps being so loud really adds to the amount of people that camp in the game as if it wasn’t already bad enough. The marksman rifles take the same amount of shots to kill someone as the smg’s up close even though the damage stat is way higher. The only guns that are of any value are the ARs. Or the LMGs if you plan on camping (which at this point I would.) Very few multi player maps at this point as well.

    Also no zombies! Definitely would of waited until the price dropped if I knew there was no Zombies mode

    Super glad it’s boots on the ground and not a very futuristic game though

    Definitely needs a good amount of updates to get a higher rating    … Expand

    Not a fun game, just people with riot shields and camping. When you do finally get people out running around the amount of time it takes for you to pull your sniper up to scope in (full attachments so it scopes in as fast as possible in the game) you're already dead. 2 bullets from pretty much any gun, pretty much anywhere, you're dead.

От call of duty там только незамысловатый тир и парочка игровых моментов, которые так: "Ооо, помнишь? В оригинальной mw мы тоже стреляли из снайперки ориентируясь по флагу! И под грузовиком так же проползали, и в траве прятались! А вот тут минометные расчеты как в cod2 отстреливаем! Помнишь?" Короче сингл шляпа! Теперь что касается мультиплеера, я сравниваю его с оригинальной mw и mw3. Стрелять приятно, оружие прямо чувствуется в руках. Кастомизация его ого-го какая обширная и это круто. Однако это все, что есть "круто" в сетевом режиме. Во-первых маленький ттк – умирают человечки очень быстро, что может быть хорошо, для тактикульной r6s или реалистичной армы, но ЗАЧЕМ ЭТО В КОЛДЕ?! Тут же обычная пострелушка на небольшой карте, без намека на тактику или что-то подобное. Выходит, что в 90% случаев в "дуэли" победит тот, кто начал первее стрелять. А в каком случае мы начнем стрелять по оппоненту первее? Верно, когда будем кемп… ждать его в обороне (в десматче крошечной карте). Во-вторых к малому ттк в комплекте идет ооочень долгий ads, опять же подходящий другим играм, но не колде! Выходит, что пока один игрок войдет в прицел, другой, уже прицелившийся, за это же время успеет сделать фраг! Кроме того, еще и большинство обвесов на оружие уменьшает скорость прицеливания! Вот и получается, что игра поощряет кемперство и уменьшает влияние скила в угоду "тактической" игры. Фановый ран-н-ган уже на так эффективен, а про mlg-quickscope с M40A3 можно вообще забыть, ибо вы уснете, пока будете прицеливаться. Ну и еще там есть местный батлфилд-режим с большими картами и техникой, где не знают о слове баланс. Спасибо cod, но я наигрался, увидимся как-нибудь в другой раз. 2/10… Expand

    Activision grabbed a real life event (Highway of Death - Gulf War), of a war crime and attrocities comitted, except, blamed it and said Russia done it, then grabbed any existing war crime and attrocity ever done in wars and made Russia do it ingame, personally not a fan of Activision re-writting history for proaganda and brainwashing purposes.     Modern warfare makes great strides in terms of the gun play and map design. Too bad there are so many bugs that the game is unplayable. This game launched with constant freezes (every 2 min for 10 sec) which makes playing extremely frustrating. Every other game, the game will crash. Challenges do not track, graphical glitches make it impossible to see your character and weapons.

Sometimes your left with no choice, but to cross a lot of open ground to get to the objectives in ground war which is impossible with all the snipers and the ridiculously overpowered killstreaks in the game. All the good guns come from leveling up and no prestige system idk how this game feels like it has worse movement compared to modern warfare remastered. Black ops movement is way better and you can swim in the water . They have places in the map if you fall you die which is horrible when dealing with grenade spamming. The game takes no skill at all but if you want to show skill run and get kills mat a fast rate prepare to deal with the camper aiming at his teammates ready to kill when you finish killing his teammates and I understand in cod that happens but if your getting shot at in a random location and can’t find out where you can’t challenge and have a highlight gun fight. The game is now suggesting to players how to camo it’s that bad . The guns are not balanced at the point you are ether a snapper or shotgun player cause sub machine gun play is very limited because the purpose is defeated by guess what a shotgun sweat. This was 2000 steps back I would think this is call of duty 2 before modern warfare call of duty 4 it’s like a old game on a 8 Gen system playing with 8k graphics that look great but the game play isworse than playing 0007 James Bond on N64 or resident evil on PlayStation 2 its 8 Gen graphics with half of the Nintendo 64 game play and movement ability . Don’t get me started on how they spawn people in front or behind while your on a streak or near one this game is bad and I recommend you playing BO4 ww2 or Mw remastered until BO5 comes out .     I didn't play the campagne, but I heard a lot and it sounds very typical for a call of duty game. I'm an online player so let's complain about this part of the game. The only thing you want to do after a long working day is playing a chilled game to calm down. But your only opponents will be sweating and camping idiots. And you have to be focused and concentrate all the time to make any kill streak. And I'm talking about the public section. Would it be the comp section, than it's fine for me. But public. The guns are so nice and you really want to unlock all camos, but the game makes it so hard for you to keep motivated, because you die in seconds after respawn.

Call of duty Modern Warfare did let me down like always, I’ve wasted my money on this 60 dollar game that deliberately forces its players not to take on an aggressive playstyle, yep, a COD where you get severely punished for constantly moving around and not sitting in a corner for god knows how long.

    The story is indeed bad, there was so many missed opportunities with what it wanted to do, I genuinely do feel like they’ve been throwing “shocking” scenery just for the gist of it, it really should not exist with the constant child murder and mass civilian murder, soke of the events shown in the story were ripped off of real genuine events but infinity ward chose to flip the sides around, because Russian man bad, although the only two things i could personally praise is the gun play and how the game looks like.

    Oh and co-op is terrible, spec ops is bad and operations is merely impossible given how IW spams juggernauts and or swarms you with infinite spawning terrorist dudes, if IW perhaps fixed and personally adjusted these issues then I’d perhaps give that part of the game another shot.    … Expand

    If you wanna play for the campaign wait the game to be like 10 bucks as it is like 8-10 hours long on Veteran. As for MP the devs just said F you to the players that played their games for years. I had every cod beside Infinity Warfare and BO4 and this is without a doubt the worst experience of a MP I had ever had. In    i only made this account so I can say how utterly **** is this game.

    I don't care about the "russophobia-wave", i think it's pretty a stupid thing, it's just the same singleplayer story you can find in every FPS game:, boring and useless. The real crap in this game is Multiplayer: still the same old s**t with kill streaks that encourages people camping in every matches turning the game from FPS to an Idle Game. You can only filter the game by mode and not by map.

Despite the attempt to justify the storyline by the studio director, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare spoiled the ability to enjoy this game as, being of Russian ethnicity, it causes a deep controversy and anger of such horrible incorrect portrayal of the Russian Army and actions taken, as well as feeling of hatred, against these characters. As well the highly controversial image that was portrayed of the white helmets in the game, whos actions were widely discussed and its role questioned in the field due to unprofessional and dangerous actions in the attempt to help people in war environments. I strongly oppose to this title for its campaign content and inhumane portrayal of the Russian Army, especially die to the atrocities supposedly committed in the form of human rights crimes in the shape of chemical warfare, genocide, and killing of civilians, both women and children, during war time. This representation is clearly shared by the western media even today as a protest against the Syrian Government and Russian support of it on the fight against terrorism in the Middle Eastern region started after and during the Spring Revolution. Facts should be taken into account, such as reports from the UN that tracks the development of actions in the region as well as history shouldn't be "rewritten" in the game, despite the best efforts of the creators of the title to deny such clear and evident happening with the mission clearly portraying the highway of death and it's malefactors, the US Army, NOT the Russian Army. Always been a fan of the title and always loved to play it throughout my teens but this is an exaggeration and misinformation of Russia's role in the fight against terrorism in the Middle East that I not support and fully oppose due to the controversy of it's content.… Expand

    Seems like there's aiming inconsistencies, with regards to controller aim assist. Seems like when you do bad, aim assist is spectacular. But when doing well the aim assist throws you off to the left, right, etc.
    Maps aren't great, campers galore.
    Lacking realism, with regards to aim speeds etc.
    Overpowered and underpowered weapons (balancing issues).
    Rubbish unlock progression, in multiplayer.

    Tl;dr:
    A decent game in general, but £60+ is a lot to pay for frustration and dissapointment.
    Still pay to win / loot box mechanics, with an added battle pass.

    This game is fun but the spawn points absolutely suck ass. Shipment is the most idiotic map with the spawn points you have. You got people spawning next to you and behind you from the other team.....its stupid. It should either be removed or fix the stupid ass spawn points. probably never

    It is fine when in the storyline there ar good side and the bad side. But showing USA war crimes and rewriting them as the Russian's did it... This time Activision crossed the line but btw multiplayer is well made and enjoyable to play.

    Everything is upside down. Call of Duty has a better solo campaign than multiplayer after many years. We will remember a perfectly scripted war with a dense atmosphere, but we’ll forget about the unbalanced online multiplayer. [Issue#298]

    After a multiplayer-centric episode, the COD fans will be delight with the return of a nervous and strong solo campaign. Modern Warfare is back with old-fashioned gameplay that is more grounded and efficient. The generous amount of content adds some depth to one of the best chapters of the saga to date. Magic!

    Overall Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is a good title that is marred by the expectations that the Modern Warfare name brings with it. The campaign has some really stellar gameplay moments that are brought down by the mediocre plot. Multiplayer was fun but felt a bit like the competition’s output (despite there being no Battlefield release this year) which may be a turn off for some. I don’t think Modern Warfare 2019 has done anything to make me rethink waiting for substantial price drops to play Call of Duty campaigns, because clearly multiplayer is still Activision’s main focus and that’s just not where I get my kicks.
