    Standard COD Experience. That's mean Russians bad guy again. Story not compelling and not interesting original one. And not in big Hollywood like script action scene, actually is good. Graphics or mechanics always good and not disappointed again. But story and set up boring.I hardly finish

    Great campaign and a great new engine, ruined by intense SBMM and time to kill is too low so you can barely tell the difference between core and hardcore.

    I am going to assess this game in 10 different categories and assign a score for each. This review is for PC user and please note, the console version is a completely different game and requires it's own review. the two versions are not comparable and I cannot emphasize this enough the PC and console version are inherently different video games. The categories are Visuals, Audios, Interface, Single player story, Coop, Multiplayer, community, price, microtransactions and support:

    Visuals: this is perhaps one of the best looking call of duties of all time. everything looks good and you have a great amount of control over the settings. I have managed to make this game look amazing with minimal performance penalty on anything from a 1080 to a 3070. Here the game gets a full 10/10 for graphics;(10/10);

    Audios: the game has excellent sound design. this is not as good as what frostbite engine has to offer. gun sounds all sound dampened and lack base, how ever voice acting, sound effects and the weapons sounds all sound really good. this is for sure an above average sound design and I will give it a (9/10);

    interfaces. it is bad, they have put in minimal effort, party system is bad, placement of buttons are bad, there are very few cautionary interfaces in places that matter and and far too many in places that are not as important. if you are in loadout menus and your squad leader do anything you are pulled out. the main screen of your character walking endlessly is a roll of a dice! in each patch new bugs get introduced. anything from half of your screen glowing to your character not loading at all. this is so bad that I am going to assume they went out of their way to screw this up and I am going t ogive them a 0/10, inexcusable! (0/10);

    Single player story: the game is ok, I actually had a lot of fun playing it until it got to the blatant racism, torture, and abuse of children. in older call of duty games they used to be more subtle, this is just poor writing, there are a million ways to portray someone as bad, this was just unimaginative. that being said I had fun playing the single player. I am giving it a (8/10);

    Coop: I was going to give this section a 10/10 but I am instead giving it a 0/10 here is why; coop was good. it had a healthy community, no toxicity, fantastic implementation of crossplay and an amazing story line to back it up. it was fun to play and easy to ear experience points in. However, they are trying to burry it, the servers have become non-responsive and do not put you in matches anymore, menus are broken and riddled with bugs and they keep getting worse in each patch. if Activision does not care about this portion of their game, I am not going to give them any points. this is the only part of this game that worth the price tag and they don't want to maintain it. (0/10);

    Multiplayer: On PC it is bad, does not worth your time, bad net code laggy buggy and broken with terrible match making. incredibly toxic community filled with racism, sexism and filth. children screaming things that are absolutely inexcusable. filled with cheaters and you have no way of reporting verbal abuse, bullying racism and sexism. on PC it is a pile of garbage unless y7ou are playing a custom match with a group of people you know, but at that point you and your friends can literally play anything else. (0/10);

    Community: Single player does not have a community, coop has an excellent respectful community but as we established if Activision does not care I am not giving them points for it and the multiplayer is garbage. I am going to give it a -5 points. I feel half of my maximum amount of happiness, less happy when I engage with this community; (-5/10);

    Price: there are better indie games that cost less and do not have microtransactions. this is a $15 game that is being marketed as a $70 title. I am giving this a (2/10);

    Microtransactions: they are not cosmetic, those skins yield in-game advantages, some skins are harder to see in game, some weapon tracers and effects (like the pixel one) block your view and give the shooter an advantage. some kill animation (floaty skulls etc) actually block your vision. dark outfits like rose's dry suit in a shadow make her practically invisible. This game is effectively pay to win. (0/10);

    Support: The support sometimes shows some surprising acts of competence that is truly out of character for Activision developers. but 70% of the time they are useless incompetent people providing **** support. Sometimes the game refuses to load and you have to redownload a 200 GB game ... hope your internet does not have a data cap! (3/10);

    so averaging all the scores it is a 2.7 out of 10. I round it up just incase I am being to harsh.    … Expand

    My top 3 favourite games in no order (as I like them all the same) are Cod 4, Black Ops 2 and 3, and this game has a good chance of replacing one of them as I have really enjoyed it so far, haven't played the campaign and have only played one short game in Warzone, the Multiplayer is where I'm always at and its absolutely fantastic I love playing it its very fun and I hope to keep on playing

    The bad russian, good captain america plot aside, the game is extremely fun to play. Clearing rooms, going dark etc was just exhilarating. Black ops cold war is a major downgrade. I'm sticking with this one.

    Warzone is not something I play but I have to download it and install all updates for it.

    The updates for this game are enraging there is no other word for it, the numerous amount of times I have finished work opened up battle net wanting a quick game after a hard day only to be met with a update which will take so long to download you wont be playing till the next day at the very least is unforgivable in terms of updates.

    I have had numerous occasions after installing 190GB game where I have had to download 100+gb updates, the last one was 3 days ago for a 5 GB update which took most of my evening to download to yesterdays 32 GB update which is still downloading.

    The worst part is none of these updates are for multiplayer they are for warzone which I don't play or for black ops crap which I don't own.

    Also the battle pass is now completely defunk for MW because no rewards are for MW they are all for warzone which is FREE and black ops which I don't own ... so I paid £50 for a game I no longer gett any content updates for but free warzone which I don't even play gets updates?

    This is the first COD game I bought since early 2000's and will be the last this kind of crap is completely unforgivable and enraging when all I want to do is relax and shoot people in the face.    … Expand

    Dont buy this game. Dont buy this stupidity. Waste of godam money. Even if you buy the disc, the updates will prevent you from playing. They are 100% doing this so you go buy the ps5. If you dont want to waste 90$ for a game that doesn't want to work and multiplayer never worked. Trust me, you will save so much money

    The game is fine... But the mechanics of how the game is managed on your device is ridiculous, the game being divided into sections and auto deleting them if you haven't played in a while... Not fun for us casual gamers. Also the way they integrate the next version of the game (cold war) into the menu is terrible, I didn't buy cold war, I boughtodern warfare stop forcing your crap onto me.

    It would be nice if people actually died when you shoot them. But no you still get hit markers on hardcore. Plus people who camp and all that other crap. What a bunch of **** Like seriously, if you camp on call of duty, or hack, i literally hope you die a horrible and painful death. Seriously. This game is rigged big time.

    This game is the best COD in... history. Not talking about the story. Everything is smooth, graphics are nice... This engine is revolutionary, and i really hope it gets used for the next CODs.
    But the maps are too big. This would have been better received if it was called Hiking Simulator, because on the bigger maps you usually spend more time running from A to B than capturing A or B.     Wortless unplayable game, tons of updates, registrations and other **** just to play the campain!? ,im just waiting for them to start demanding my fingerprints and chipping me to be "allowed" to play the campain, will never pay for an Activision game again.

Если бы на днях не проходил первый Black Ops, который как по мне просто шедевр, то возможно и выше оценку поставил, но геймплей крайне однообразный, в середине игры уже банально устал играть. Но это колда, тут по сути кроме тира-то нечего было ожидать, так что норм. Пропаганда амеров конечно присутствует, но не вижу ничего в этом преступного. ЕслиНормальная игра на твёрдую семерочку. Name a game that you have no control over winning? They get streamers to go and change their settings to go into lobbies full of noobs and make content and it makes the game look good but every single person on my friends lists kill to death ration is 50% kills 50% deaths and I have at least 20 people. We’re just giving people money that are lying to us and miss selling games to people under the pretence that they’re skill based shooter competitions but the fact is whatever category Activision has placed gamers in they won’t get out of it. The more you play this game the worse you get at it. Auto aiming away from your target even although I’m literally aiming perfectly on the target to begin with. It’s unbelievable i’m not wasting anymore time with this or any other game that is designed this way.… Expand

I've had single player progress/achievements wiped clean, can't complete time-limited challenges/missions due to design flaws (such as common weapons not spawning during the second half of the Rebirth Island event), and so many other annoyances. I also hate how the in-game store has a FOMO aspect to it, just let me buy what I want!Bugs introduced with every patch ruin the game for me.     Russian propaganda smh. The campaign was pretty good except for the stupid propaganda. Campaign was pretty quick too, but still worth it.

    Multiplayer is decent and I like it. Graphics are nice, same with the gameplay. But I'm experiencing a lot of campers. Still it's pretty good.

    Spec Ops is just stupid, no one even plays it.

    I'm giving this an 8.

    No entiendo porque hay tantas críticas negativas, la campaña es muy realista, no es corta con unos gráficos que muchos juegos envidiarían, la historia conecta con cada personaje que juegas. El multijugador vicia bastante, la personalización de armas es muy buena ya que hay tantas configuraciones que son únicas, los mapas que van metiendo son gratis por actualizaciones y ya que decir delNo entiendo porque hay tantas críticas negativas, la campaña es muy realista, no es corta con unos gráficos que muchos juegos envidiarían, la historia conecta con cada personaje que juegas.     Campy multiplayer, but with amazing gun customization, some great maps and fantastic visuals. The story is also one of CoD's best (However controversial) however for some reason Infinity Ward still haven't added Terminal. massive L

    Great campaign, one of the best in the series, at least in recent games. Multiplayer is fun, and I would rate this game a 9 or 10 if it wasn't for the throwing knives. The throwing knives are MUCH MUCH too overpowered. You can literally get hit in the leg by one and it immediately kills you

    Singleplayer: Short, Fun, Very Realistic at times. The feminism in the narrative can get a bit more than grating at times, but never enough to ruin the experience outright. Multiplayer: Your typical bread and butter, many modes are played actively (especially TDM) nothing hugely game-changing, but    The game is a step in the right direction, even if it suffers from some flaws.

    Singleplayer: Short, Fun, Very Realistic at times. The feminism in the narrative can get a bit more than grating at times, but never enough to ruin the experience outright.

    Multiplayer: Your typical bread and butter, many modes are played actively (especially TDM) nothing hugely game-changing, but satisfying and fun none-the-less.

    Warzone: Unfortunately the childish "Battle Royale" trend has infected the MW experience with "Warzone" which has all but eclipsed everything else the game has to offer.
    I've no interest in BR games anymore, and i wish activision would appreciate their base customers instead of jumping on the BR cash-wagon. But whatever, can't expect much from them.

    Additional note: What's with all the salty russians complaining over a fictional story they're the bad guys in? Dude, get over it - It's a VIDEO GAME.    … Expand

    Кампания на 8.5 из 10 отличная постановка, годные миссии и тд. Все очень отлично сделано. Варзон 4 из 10 , куча багов, дисбалансовое оружение из-за чего приходится играть с одними и теми же пушками, куча багов, высокий порог вхождения для игры. Для стрельбы низкий, стрелять довольно просто в игре. Мультиплеер тоже очень неплохой.Кампания на 8.5 из 10 отличная постановка, годные миссии и тд. Все очень отлично сделано. Варзон 4 из 10 , куча багов, дисбалансовое оружение из-за чего приходится играть с одними и теми же пушками, куча багов, высокий порог вхождения для игры. Для стрельбы низкий, стрелять довольно просто в игре. Мультиплеер тоже очень неплохой.

    muy buena campaña, gran precuela de los Modern Warfare, con muchísimos guiños a la historia original de 2007

    la partida en Realista me ha encantado, aunque se me ha hecho más sencilla que en Curtido el apartado audiovisual es sublime escenas crudas, y capítulos que recuerdan a Zero Dark Thirty o 12 Strong, juego adulto lo peor del juego, de lejos, que haya que instalar, y    muy buena campaña, gran precuela de los Modern Warfare, con muchísimos guiños a la historia original de 2007

    la partida en Realista me ha encantado, aunque se me ha hecho más sencilla que en Curtido
    el apartado audiovisual es sublime

    escenas crudas, y capítulos que recuerdan a Zero Dark Thirty o 12 Strong, juego adulto

    lo peor del juego, de lejos, que haya que instalar, y actualizar una cantidad brutal de gigas, para poder instalar el modo historia

SBMM is a heated topic in the gaming community rather it helps noobs or makes the game unenjoyable for most players. But skill-based match-making needs to go to make the multiplayer fun, but trying to get the devs to remove it is like trying to get a vampire to eat garlic.     A lot of people are trying to knock the game and say it's bad just because of the campaign mode being racist towards russians. Even though most people play the multiplayer mode online with their friends or they play the new ground war mode where you play in a lobby on a team of four maximum, or solo, in a lobby of 100 others and you fight till the last person or team is standing. This new mode has brought many new players to the game because it is similar to a very popular game named fortnight. Another thing that this game has brought that is new is having the option to buy the full game or if you're not into playing ground war or multiplayer you have the option to purchase just one part of the game saving you money.
    CorgiXR only really states how the campaign mode is bad and unrealistic but doesn’t really talk about the good things the game has and just overlooks them. Although I agree with CorgiXR up to a point about the campaign mode depicting Russians as savages , I cannot accept their overall conclusion that people will believe that the story plot in the campaign mode as being true. I do not believe that the campaign mode will change someone's political views on Russians because it is just a video game and they need to make the story interesting so people won’t say that the campaign mode is boring and doesn’t tell a good story. I would have been able to agree with CorgiXR if he was able to explain why he liked the game and not just focus on just the one bad thing about the game. This game has introduced many new maps and modes and needs more credit then some people are giving it. This has been the best call of duty game i’ve played just because it brought a new ground war mode and added smaller maps into the multiplayer mode making it almost like a laser tag or paintball game with your friends with a lot of action and wonderful graphics.    … Expand

    Finally a step in the right direction for COD. Weapon mechanics and graphics look and feel amazing. Just wish the call of duty franchise would steer away from the heavy use of SBMM in multiplayer.

    I know I'm really late to the game but I just had a chance to try it this year and overall was a great game.     Love this game to be honest just kind of sad black ops Cold War came and they are not coming with new guns or battle pass or any blue print for modern warfare anymore to be honest. I wish they worked on that because a lot of people still loved modern warfare more than Cold War.

    Call of Duty? This one is more like Camp of Duty. Bring your tents because the multiplayer is full of players that think their life is actually on the line. Campaign is fantastic. Spec-ops is bad, very bad. Warzone is good as long as you dont mind getting annihilated by streamers.

    Just love this game. It has a incredible and shocking campaign and the best multiplayer that I've seen in a Call of Duty since Black Ops 2.

    The only things that I don't like is the map design in general (the only map that I really like is Shoot House), and the coop Special Ops.

    This is an excellent COD after a string of hits and misses. Not sure why there are so many complaints about Russians being the villains. COD has always taken on dictatorships, and unfortunately the country is still being lead by one of the worst dictators this world has ever known. Solid game with great multiplayer.

Unfortunately, Cold War has since fallen well behind modern warfare’s shadow. While not every COD will be the same going forward, I truly hope that they learn from how amazing modern warfare is.

    Crossplay is both a welcomed introduction and cursed one. On one hand, it’s awesome to play with friends regardless of their system and it makes for more populated games. On the other hand, it clearly highlights how disadvantaged console players are to PC players. Mouse and keyboard will forever be easier/quicker than a controller.     i played this game on Xbox and i had a pretty good time. i really liked the battle royal and the multiplayer was pretty ok and i know people didn't like the multiplayer but it wasn't that bad. the the battle royal was really good and they temporarily will put in little modes for extra fun. the battle royal was like a normal battle royal. the graphics for the game were normal and theyi played this game on Xbox and i had a pretty good time. i really liked the battle royal and the multiplayer was pretty ok and i know people didn't like the multiplayer but it wasn't that bad. the the battle royal was really good and they temporarily will put in little modes for extra fun. the battle royal was like a normal battle royal. the graphics for the game were normal and they looked pretty good. it did have some other little "Mini games" and they were ok. in the battle royal you could level up and the highest level you could get to is 155 but after a season they reset and i but i wish they had done something like rainbow six siege.… Expand

The game is just to similar to the other games to justify buying it. If you want a different COD experience then play Warzone its free and much better than this.

    Who codded this game? The **** is real. Bullets damn near don't matter. The jumping is horrible, why does it show us putting the plates in? So we can get **** up but the guy shooting us before we can put them in and aim? What hot damn garbage. Only thing that makes it fun is playing with friends.

    The game has an amazing weapon customization system. Although the pumping arms a bit to long. Actually, the way the weapon sounds and looks, how it is animated-all at a very high level.
    The game engine has been updated. Added night battles. The ability to fire from behind cover, etc.
    As for the story missions, they are quite typical for the series. But the pitch itself is lopsided and stinks of propaganda a mile away. I have enough of this nonsense on the local news and I want to see a quality story, sane motivation of the characters. Not " they're evil because they're evil."    … Expand

    It is honestly my new favorite call of duty.
    The campaign was awesome,multiplayer too and warzone was a great addition!
    I’m giving it a 9 because spec ops is a waste of a mode,it clearly was never given the same love as MP or Warzone.

    The best Call of Duty in recent decade.
    The amount of attention to details is beyond breathtaking. Special shout out to the gun viewmodels team Khoa Le, Mark Grisby, Hyper & Jun Chang for the amazing work that they've put in. Everything from campaign to multiplayer, from ground wars to gunfight are just amazing. This is the glorious comeback for Infinity Ward!

    The multiplayer is unbalanced and you can't be good unless you're either 1) a god who plays cod 24/7 or 2) a camper. The TTK is insanely low and players are often hard to spot quickly due to camo. This leads to a huge amount of camping and an overall, **** experience

    If you play campy,slow and bad you'll get your campers, if you rush, learn advanced movement (slide canceling, bhoping etc)and get good aim you'll get fast lobbies with the occasional campers, overall feel very nice, top 5 cod easily

The campaign had a really nice production and I really admired all the performances, though some missions were definitely way more fun than others. The gunplay was pretty fun overall though, albeit way too loud and not enough music. But I understand that it was to back the more realistic approach they were going for.

    The multiplayer is really fun, maybe because I haven't played COD multiplayer in a really long time. The biggest standout is being able to mount your gun, which was really suitable for my playstyle. Weapon customization was also amazing. My only problem is a BIG problem. I don't like most of the maps. At least in the baseline game. They definitely improved overtime with the newer maps and even bringing back old ones, but some of these maps had really jumbled layouts and just encouraged camping. I feel like for a lot of them, the combat is always congested in one spot for the entire game instead of spreading out. It usually results in me having an amazing game or a really bad one, with no middle ground.

    I overall had a lot of fun with this game and it restored a lot of interest in this franchise for me. I'm definitely taking each next entry with a grain of salt, but I'll definitely be picking up Cold War because the first Black Ops is still my favorite entry.    … Expand

    American Nazi terrorists made a game about themselves. How many weddings do Americans bomb in Afghanistan in a year? How is TPM Orange in Vietnam? Forsfor is also much more useful than the gas that Russia destroyed, and the Americans simply violated the treaty and did not destroy it =)

    O jogo tem uma boa história, bons gráficos, mas um multiplayer chato e fraquíssimo que desagradou grande parte do público.
    Fora que o modo operações especiais ninguém ao menos lembra que existe. Apesar de ter revolucionado a jogabilidade de call of duty, o multiplayer acabou sendo um tanto desagradável, partidas longas e demoradas, mapas horríveis e extremamente grandes.

    Everything is upside down. Call of Duty has a better solo campaign than multiplayer after many years. We will remember a perfectly scripted war with a dense atmosphere, but we’ll forget about the unbalanced online multiplayer. [Issue#298]

    After a multiplayer-centric episode, the COD fans will be delight with the return of a nervous and strong solo campaign. Modern Warfare is back with old-fashioned gameplay that is more grounded and efficient. The generous amount of content adds some depth to one of the best chapters of the saga to date. Magic!

    Overall Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is a good title that is marred by the expectations that the Modern Warfare name brings with it. The campaign has some really stellar gameplay moments that are brought down by the mediocre plot. Multiplayer was fun but felt a bit like the competition’s output (despite there being no Battlefield release this year) which may be a turn off for some. I don’t think Modern Warfare 2019 has done anything to make me rethink waiting for substantial price drops to play Call of Duty campaigns, because clearly multiplayer is still Activision’s main focus and that’s just not where I get my kicks.
