    This game had insane potential. If it didn’t have so many micro transactions and the brain dead developers listened to the community feedback this could’ve easily been one of the best in the series. Instead, it’s just a pretty good game and probably the best of the post-golden age COD’s alongside BO3.

    Can't even play the campaign 2022. After downloading hundreds of GBs and waiting days, I can't even play it.

    I remember the release, it was a good cod. But trying to play this 2022... Don't!

    Fantastic! A wonderful story, super realistic graphics, excellent gameplay and amazing music. It's my favorite CoD.

    The best call of duty so far. And as a bonus you get to kill the dirty russians. Awesome graphics epic multiplayer. Even the campaign is brilliant.

    So after they "fixed" the game from constant crashing on PS5 I can write a proper review about this.

    Singleplayer: There isn´t much to talk about here, its pretty much the same 5-7h one dimensional american russian terrorists bs without any improvements to the gameplay.     This mode is still not working, I rallied up some friend but we got an infinite loading screen or a bugged menu when we tried to join each other.

    Multiplayer:
    The graphics are good most of the time. There are plenty of different modes and mode playlists to play everything you want. The map design is good. The weapons are feeling very good and there are lots of attachments. Sadly everyone is playing the same meta loadout most of the time. And there is a general lack of polishing everywhere. Also the community of this game is still VERY bad and there are lots of cheaters as well.

    Summary:
    This could be a good or even a great game if Activision would actually give a sh!t. I was at a 6/10 but I am subtracting two points because the Coop isn´t working and because of the fact that this game is still feeling like an unfinished Beta after two years worth of updates. Still not a bad game but everyone saying things like "best shooter of the decade" has no clue what he is talking about.    … Expand

    One of the best COD from orginal Modern Warfare. Nice jump in tech (graph, anim, sound). Super Level Design in multiplayers maps.

    Absolutely disguisting plot and absolutely horrible try to hiding sharp corners in Russian version. Green helmets instead of white helmets. Barkov merceneries instead of Russian soldiers. Etc.

    1. No split screen. This game is the triumphalism of individuality. More and more games are to be played alone in a dark room. F***ing sad. Also you have to pay 50 pounds p/y for multiplayer?? So you pay 100 pounds (50 game, 50 PlayPlus) and then you test the game for them after days of downloading. If I stumble upon the Blizzard headquarters I gladly would set it on fire.    … Expand

    short plot, multiplayer is buggy af, guns balance does not exist. low framerate all the time, menu is in 30 fps i think.

    Просто шедевр, все супер, только минус бал за звуки шагов противников, их слышно в паре метров от себя. И минус за ошибки, поганые конечно вылеты бывают.

    Que jogo sensacional, de início ao fim é uma história totalmente imprevisível, não dá para prever os acontecimentos, é necessário temer cada cena e missão que conclui. Gráficos absurdos, típico da Activision com Call of Duty, sempre esnobando de gráficos lindos com uma jogabilidade perfeita, onde equilibra a dificuldade do jogo com um certo realismo, te dando uma imersão de estar presenteQue jogo sensacional, de início ao fim é uma história totalmente imprevisível, não dá para prever os acontecimentos, é necessário temer cada cena e missão que conclui.     Bought the game 2 days before this review. One thinks that the game should have a smooth, bug-free user experience because it's been almost 2 years since its first release. Anyway, spent 3 hours to figure out which packages to install to play the campaign mode. Finally managed to do it, 30 seconds into the game I got hit with a black screen on my PS5, just stuck.     Singleplayer = SJW SH1T with some good action moments but the lore is very wemen woke BS
    Multiplayer = Best COD ever and could be even better but they stop adding content for you to feel the want for a new COD game... but still, COD CW was a joke compared to this and COD Vanguard it´s a broken garbage compared to any FPS game... #BestCODyet

    Much better than Vanguard. It really seems like a very good Call of Duty game, it brought the franchise back to life and you can do quick scoping again.

    Elsewhere, spec-ops is a major downgrade and survival is very underwhelming. Over- and under-powered guns in Multiplayer make this game a 0 for me. The recent full-auto "Sorokin" pistol with 80 rounds is just laughably unfair.    Pretty good campaign, I really don't care about the whining about "Russia bad America good", it's a game, not some evil propaganda designed to kill Russians.

    Elsewhere, spec-ops is a major downgrade and survival is very underwhelming.

Multiplayer had it's problems when it came out but it has mostly been ironed out and is a pretty pristine experience now, plot is fantastic, yes there is "Grey morality" the US declares Farah's forces terrorists and Barkov's forces commit war crimes, I've seen people give this game a 0 purely over the highway of death thing but I don't see that as enough of a reason to hate this game, (Although it is why I'm giving it a 9 instead of a 10)
    Also is you think they treated the Russian's unfairly in this game, please take a step back and realize they demonized Barkov's forces, not the whole Russian nation.
    I've poured almost 8 days into the multiplayer now and I plan on playing till Infinity Ward drops their next game. Truly an amazing Call of Duty and by far the best one is years. You really hit it out of the park this time Infinity Ward.    … Expand

    The best call of duty search experience I’ve had. A ton of guns with friends. Story was amazing too. Special operations was sub par but I don’t play that. One of the greatest and over hated cod’s of all time.

    Modern Warfare is the best Call of Duty ever created. Made in 2019, it still manages to outperform Cold War and Vanguard in every possible aspect. Graphics? Yep. If you told me that MW was a prerelease of COD 2022, I would easily believe you. The graphics are somehow better than a game 2 years older optimized for next-gen consoles. Still boggles my mind. There's no "overpowered gun" or "trash gun" because the guns have been masterfully designed so that someone's opinion of the best gun might be another's worst gun. This game has it all. Although it got off to a rocky start at launch, IW has managed to turn a mediocre game into a masterpiece.… Expand

    This now is my favorite COD. The campaign was immersive and gives real attachment to the characters. While the story is not incredibly complex it is masterfully told. The guns sound amazing, the design is also wonderful, and the graphics are very good.

    i'm dont russian,i'm iranian. but this is bad Advertising! Death Highway? Russians Kill kids? This is a duplicate scenario that exists in all CODs.

    technically, game not Optimized! Very High Usage while playing.
    For play This game you need RTX Series, if play on GTX, you have very bad Quality and if set on good Graphic, high usage of hardware. STOP ACTIVISION! STOP!

    Absolute garbage. There's a bug where when you're escaping the ship from flooding in on you you randomly keep falling to the side and "failing" the mission. Close and deleted. Modern Warfare 2 was amazing so I was sad to see this installment was literally unplayable.

    The best COD game in years! Graphics are incredible, gameplay is the best I've played in FPS ever. Maps are ok and campaign is AMEZING! cold war is such a downgrade in every sense. 2021 and I'm still playing MW2019. LOVE THAT GAME! ❤

    The atmosphere of the game was well defined at launch but updates and partnerships has subdued some of this. The weapon animations are on point and the sound design is magnificent, definitely the peak of the game.     People are crying because there is too much "Russophobia" when MW2 and 3 are based on the same principle, it's not the greatest campaign ever, but to give it a 0/10 because you think that the campaign is a bit cliche is a bit too much. The multiplayer is awesome and feels really good, as do the weapons which pack a good punch with their design and sound.

Literally every match except but 2 made me auto infected, because I couldn't load in the game fast enough. I am legitimately considering ending my life with my .22.     O primeiro jogo da franquia que eu compro na pré-venda. Não me decepcionei. Partidas empolgantes, gameplays frenéticas, dublagem excelente, som animal e a micro transação razoável. Porém o que mais me chamou a atenção nesse COD em específico foi o armeiro, que foi bem feito.

    Garbage maps and poor spawns ruin a potentially great multiplayer. The campaign was fun. Maps and perks encourage camping to an extent many maps are impossible to navigate. I got back into COD with Black Ops 4 and this game was a great disappointment. The lone good original map is shoot house with a few decent remakes mixed in.

The actual review starts in the multiplayer, where you will be actually spending your time and the COOP but I'll get to that later. The Multiplayer is the most bland and boring gameplay I have ever seen in my life. The fast time to kill matched with players who are so incompetent to leave a corner ruins any other entertaining or exciting play style to be used in the Multiplayer. Even casual players who want to get up and go to an objective have to deal with controller aim botting, fast ttk, and meta weapons probably even a shotgun to the face once they round a corner. If you were looking for any excitment to be had in this game mode you're looking in the wrong place if you're not willing to watch a corner and let the controller do the aiming for you. Another big part of the mulitplayer that kills it for most players including me is the SBMM. The Skill Based Match Making will be the death of the franchise because if you do good in 1 game at all you will be matched with sweaty try hards or even more people who will camp corners and not leave until their mothers come in their room to make them do chores. SBMM also connects you to higher ping servers like 70 80 sometimes 120 ping. Another note about SBMM in the game mode of warzone is it'll put you against players that have bought the game pass to try to get you to buy it because the development team intentionally makes the guns OP in the first seasons they're out and if you try to use any other gun against it you're sure to lose. Now on to the COOP. As someone who is a huge fan of the MW3 COOP and loved the survival mode I have been let down so hard it's as if my hopes were thrown off the cliff of marianas trench. The COOP is absolutely garbage. Even with improvements the game mode just isn't fun. Once again you're forced to camp in a corner in some building because of the poor design decisions made within the AI and the different types of enemies within this game mode. Let me start with survival in contrast to MW3's survival. In MW 2019 you have little chance to play this game solo. What i mean by that is I could make it to wave 30 on MW3 survival no problem but for some reason in this cod you can't make it past wave 3 or 4. The guns the AI use such as the shotgun or the AK or even the RPG will destroy you if they catch you off guard and that is mostly due to how little health you have in this game mode. You could survive being shot 100 times in MW3 survival because the game mode was supposed to be fun and they understood that some people wanted to play it solo and you can't win against a horde of enemies without having the health to compensate for it. In this cod you have probably 1 5 round burst fired at you with any automatic and you're dead. That's it. Go back to the menu and try again. Another huge difference between the 2 survival modes I'm comparing is the suicide bombers. Just wow. They sprint twords you with a bomb in their hand and even if they explode from 10 feet away you're very likely to be dealt half your entire health. That would be ok if there were maybe 2 or 4 during one wave right? Well, you would be delighted to know that there are about 20. If they get within 5 feet of you and explode you're pretty much dead. I don't know how this makes sense with the play style of camping in buildings and not having enough health to go outside and fight them because you die so quickly in this game. It's so dissapointing. In comparision, the suicide bombers from MW3 will take 1 shot and they will have about a 4 second delay before exploding, this gives the players time to run away and not be instantly killed or use the suicide bombers to their advantage. That design choice alone shows that the developers of MW3 care more about the fun of the players than making the game realistic or whatever narrative they push for MW 2019 I can't even tell you what it is other than "realistic" maybe. But onto the last thing, the "classic COOP" is actually impossible. Remember how I said you have very little health? Yeah, you have to push against about 50-100 bots, good luck. I just wanted to quickly mention that. I've played this game on and off trying to find some ounce of enjoyment of fun in any of it but I fail to do so. I wish honestly think the developers could have really delivered on this game, it had all the potential for it. But unfortunately they let greed get the better of them. With that and their stubborn ways, the future of this franchise is looking short, especially with it's newest one, Cold War. My advice to you is to just not buy this game. Save your 60 dollars and spend it on anything else. You will thank me later.… Expand

    Finally, after a huge chunk of mediocre and bad games, the Modern Warfare reboot revived the series. This game has an excellent campaign and some of the most in depth multiplayer in the series. Plus, we got Warzone!

    One of my Top 3 fav CoD games, story is great, gameplay is fun and the mechanics are good. It's sad seeing it get review bombed by angry Russians. I've always said it and I'll say it again Metacritic is the most unreliable review source precisely because it's so easy to review bomb games here. As for the game, I would recommend 100%. (Unless you're russian, I guess...)

    LOL, 203GB used to exchange a game that is lack of getting a game runs smooth.(intel i5-8300H and GTX1060 6G) The matching system is bad, I always match up to someone who is much more better than me(Yes Im a newbie). The campaign is good but it wont cover up how they failed in multiplayer.

    Skill based match making is the worst i have seen in multiplayer games. Do you remember old CODs? It was really cool to play with RANDOM SKILL people. But in new CODs when you win game with good score, you will get 3 or more matches with very good players in other team and your KD will be below 1.

The campaign has some really stellar gameplay moments that are brought down by the mediocre plot. Multiplayer was fun but felt a bit like the competition’s output (despite there being no Battlefield release this year) which may be a turn off for some. I don’t think Modern Warfare 2019 has done anything to make me rethink waiting for substantial price drops to play Call of Duty campaigns, because clearly multiplayer is still Activision’s main focus and that’s just not where I get my kicks.
