    Fairly solid overall game. Great gunplay. Usual borderlands humor, but more modern topics.

    There is some bugs and lag with menus that should be resolved, but did take a point off for poor testing.

    It's a shame it is getting review bombed due to Steam

Borderlands 3 is horribly polished. The framerates are bad even on a PS4 Pro with SSD on resolution mode. Why even bother having it when it does not run smooth?     I have jitter and stutter when I set the deadzones to zero. My character literally hovers around uncontrolled which I had not in a single game before. The atmosphere is standard borderlands. If you liked the previous one probably you will like that one also. I still do miss some sort of evolution in such a game series with such an image to loose. What I dont understand is that it kinda feels like Handsome Collection 4K was actually more polished and also better looking then BL3. Only positive side note is that the sound in hifi mode is really well made and enjoyable.

    The story is very bland so far and the jokes are kinda dull also. For beginners there is the usual tutorial but in my personal opinion not very well made. The character selection itself is so paper thin you dont actually really know beforehand what you get. Of course the game is about discovering the characters and stuff but come on.... its a triple A franchise, do I really have to google for character guides before I pick something?

    I m sad that I pre-ordered and paid the full price. I think hardcore fans will enjoy the game as it is practically an expansion for BL2 without much evolution. For everyone else I would advice to wait for a price drop of at least 20-30% and some more fixes, especially if you are on base PS4 I highly suggest to not buy this game at the moment.    … Expand

    I love Borderlands. This game is the best couch co-op game on the market and always leaves me so satisfied and happy. My boyfriend and I were SO excited and ignored all of the complaints of everyone because we were more than happy to support a game we love. Last night, he got off and home 20 minutes before we could play the game. He was the happiest I've seen him in days, we had snacksI love Borderlands. He was the happiest I've seen him in days, we had snacks bought and we're more than ready to kill the night and stay up way too late collecting loot together and high fiving eachother each time one of us kicked some bandit butt. When we finally booted up the game, however, we were really REALLY disappointed. The lag from the menus crashed our game. We had to spend an hour trying to find the vertical split screen option we were promised to NO AVAIL, after doing that for an hour we had to spend 30 more minutes changing all the settings to accommodate me because I have terrible motion sickness and the horizontal spiltscreen when first loaded literally made me sick to my stomach in minutes.

    I have played every single game in this series. I have loved the experience so much... This game gave me a reason to love video games again and it's become a real staple in my life and my relationship. That being said, this is the most disappointed I've been on a release of this series ever. As a fan, I can speak for almost everyone when I say that I really wish you had taken the time to fix these problems before releasing this game. I would have been happy to wait. My boyfriend would have been happy to wait. We wanted a good time, we wanted to find loot and kick ass. We're still going to try to do this... But honestly, it broke my heart this morning when he told me he genuinely wanted me to play by myself while he was at work today so I could really enjoy the game and the experience.

    Review bombing is a joke. The game has its flaws but you can tell Gearbox put a lot of work into this game and it isn't the slightest bit of a letdown to me. Yes Randy Pitchford is a douche. Don't let that, or the fact that it is an epic game exclusive, ruin it for you.

    Lots of gameplay improvements Shooting is better, movement is better, explosions are more impactful. Fast travel huge qol improvement. Graphics honestly probably should be dialed back a bit on all platforms this game took a big leap fidelity wise but I think 60 fps should be made available through temporal resolution scaling n lower res textures on base, the pro version runs well but itLots of gameplay improvements Shooting is better, movement is better, explosions are more impactful.     This is more of everything you loved about BL2
    I’m having a blast with this game ignore the negative reviews and I’m sorry some people are just hard to please like my ex wife go buy this gem you won’t regret it in my top 5 for game of the year for me well that’s my opinion anyways enjoy !!!!

    I just wanted to say this is extremely fun I’m 9 hours in and I’m loving it not sure what all these zero reviews are for I’m so confused no way this is any less then a 7 It’s probably about a 9 but I’m giving it a 10 to offset some of those ridiculous reviews yes is more of the same but that’s not a bad thing at all but this game you won’t regret it !

    As it stands right now, an 8/10 is a strong review for this game. Yes, it has bad frame rate issues at times on PS4 (but on PS4 Pro its not that bad), and yes the loading times are long, sometimes unbearably long. However, giving this game a score of 0 only based on these two things and review bombing it as bad as it is being done right now is extremely childish and petty honestly.As it stands right now, an 8/10 is a strong review for this game.     The biggest disappointment? Sitting in a “midnight” release line for an hour and getting home to find out I can’t split screen share play on my PS4? My buddy wanted to check out the game and try some split screen with me but he’s actively serving across seas so he couldn’t play with me on release night. Come on 2K/PS4 why market a flagship feature to play with your friends when 2K wants to make everyone suffer if they don’t pay the $60 price tag... greedy sons of...

    After a night of solo play on this game, I can’t see any reason why it should get any sort of great reviews unless the publisher is padding their review scores (which they are allegedly being accused of). In all honesty this is a game you buy used and the cheapest sale you can get it. Never going to buy borderlands new ever again.    … Expand

    Funny how some people are upset that Borderlands 3 is like previous Borderlands games...
    If you liked previous versions of the game, you will like this one. BL3 was made for fans and it shows. Haters gonna hate.

    On the surface this game makes a really good impression until you start playing it. Horrible input delay plus frame drops make Borderlands 3 nearly unenjoyable.

    Great sequel. Tons of options to make it play like borderlands two. One of the few games to offer subtitle sizing which is a must when doing split screen with the wife. It would be nice to increase font size forother wording though. All 4 characters feel really fun to play although my favourite is Zane.     Borserlands 3 isnt changing the formula and it doesnt need too.BL3 is a more expansive and a more refined version of what we ve already experienced.i highly reccomend.

    Don't listen to all the hate. Amazing game, beautiful visuals, great mechanics and characters that can be played in so many ways. If you like looter shooters this is a must have in your game library. I've played through all 3 and they just keep getting better.

    Borderlands 3 has many plus size and only one notable down side. The guns, action and story are all amazing (and tbh are the biggest part of FPS looter shooters). The only down side is the frame rate drops, but if you're like me then a few (and they are few and far between) frame rate drops won’t be a buzzkill. I can also imagine future updates to fix this.     I tried the game last night, I enomely played 2 and I find that this opus just brings the new features that are missing from 2. The graphics are very nice and more detailed than in the 2 which was already beautiful, and the gameplay is more dynamic.

    I absolutely don't understand the bad reviews. I'm still at the very beginning of the game. Beat the first "boss". But there's litterally NO problem or glitch or anything. I'm 99% sure most of these bad reviews are from people upset with the "Epic" mess on PC. I think this is not cool at all bc a lot of people (like me) go to metacritic to see what people have to say about a game beforeI absolutely don't understand the bad reviews.     If you liked borderlands 2 you will love this game. They basically improved on everything. Graphics are noticeabley better, I recomend playing on performance. Movement, climbing, sliding is awesome. Looting is quicker, you don't have to spam the loot button. Guns feel great. And it still has that great borderlands charm.

    What a weird and poor choice from the developers! They only gave the review edition for PC Players, because the PS4 Pro version runs extremely bad! On performance mode you get mostly 45FPS and Resolution it’s clearly above 30FPS! 5 years of waiting to get this disappointed. Sad choice from the developers. Hope this gets a patched!

    If you're a fan of the series you will absolutely love this! It's everything you'd expect, with small little tweaks here and there to improve some of the downsides of the old games. As for framerate drops, just change the performance on visuals to prefer FPS, then it's smooth as butter!

    Yikes.... on top of the bad PR and horrible CEO, the voice acting sucks, the gameplay is uninspiring, and the whole game feels incredibly rushed.

    This game is everything I ever wanted from a sequal to Borderlands 2 great gameplay awesome story generous loot tons of stuff to do that feels rewarding. I'm loving every second of this game!

    It's got really bad frame rate issues, it's sluggish the menus lag , pop in textures on the odd occasion , it's actually giving me eye strain and I've only played for an hour

    Very fun game. Playing it single player and having a great time so far. Lots of explosions and guns with tons of monsters and amazing graphics on PC. Also, the humor is great and it's a really funny game. The game is really colorful and full of life.

The only downsides it’s the translation for Portuguese that wasn’t great.     More guns, more planets, more skills, more… more. If you liked the previous ones, this gives you plenty of the same to enjoy. Borderlands 3 is the very definition of the bigger and better sequel. [Issue#168, p.76]

    Factor in the graphical glitches, rampant texture pop-in and generally asthmatic performance levels, even when running on a PS4 Pro with settings optimised to favour smooth running, and there really is no end of reasons not to love Borderlands 3 (and don’t even think about Googling developers Gearbox Games’ litany of employee relations history)...And yet... love it, I do. Guilty as charged.
