    Meh. This game doesn't bring anything new. Visually it's a step backward from some of the latest games in recent years. I'm used to a much higher level of quality in animation and detail. It feels like a bad 3rd person Far Cry game without the guns or vehicles - and even those games have become incredibly stale. They need a revamp of their graphics engine, something new and refreshing.Meh. This game doesn't bring anything new. Visually it's a step backward from some of the latest games in recent years. They need a revamp of their graphics engine, something new and refreshing.

    I just feel bored with these Ubisoft games... Hopefully, they can turn this around eventually. I didn't feel particularly excited leading up to the release either so all-in-all it's been a letdown.

    Also, so many bugs... so much clipping, and AI is so lame. Another game churned out by a games company on autopilot.

    Когда то приходилось бежать за свежевышедшим новым Ассасином, как за событием. Теперь же это опустившаяся, конвейерная, абсолютно убогая серия. Вы могли бы создавать новые игры, хотя бы те же исторических сеттингах. Могла бы делать хоть что-то оригинальное... но все оригинальное вы губите и клепаете эту "игру". У вас был шанс оправдаться перед всем миром    Юбисофт, ну сколько можно?

    They said they were going to correct all the issues people had with odyssey, about it just feeling long and grindy. They trick you starting off, but a good 20 hours in and its chasing map markers over a huge map thats sparsely populated for quests that aren't all that interesting (except a handfull).     I loved this at first, but the more I played, the more I just wanted it to be over. The huge power level gap they throw at you at the end also just doesn't feel good. Its great at first, but as you play it the cracks start to show and despite a large world with a lot to do, theres a point where just....none of it feels interesting or engaging.     After excelent relaunch of seria with Origins and good Odyssey this "game" is not playable at all. A very poor plot, stupid quests, idiot cut scenes about nothing, the characters are stupid and uninteresting, absolutely do not involve in the gameplay. The game is not impressive with anything new and it is not interesting to play it. The battle scheme is the same as in Odyssey.     It looks fine. Not as good as HZD for example but fine. Parcour gets worse each iteration. Fighting is clunky, way too easy and boring. Story is uninteresting for the most part. And it's way too long again, witch too little interesting content.

    Another copy past from previous 2 titles + some elements from witcher 3 (but not even good clone) . Very bad and clunky and unpolished fighting animations. some repetitive stun kills. very bad facial animations. Stealth kills mechanism are laughable just look how he kills someone lying on ground.
    very bad AI. the only good part is massive world and some good side activities.

    Basically Origins/Odyssey.
    The Viking setting is amazing, but the game it self is a solid meh.
    A lot of technical issues at my end.
    Story is okay I guess.
    Combat is very repetitive, just like the gameplay itself.
    What can I say, it's a Ubisoft game.

I got stuck on the very first quest ("A Seer's Solace"), a bug that breaks the main storyline and the only solution is to delete saves and reinstall the game (as suggested by Ubisoft!). Are you f**** kidding me?     Maybe a 3 depends where your at in the game. I've clocked far over 500 hours into this series I always finish them. I love assassin's creed but a reskin would have been better than a broken combat system. It's like for honor the game you suffer from and ai that penalizes you for ubisheet at its finest. 60 was a highway robbery.

Once you hit all but one loot cache you get a one shot and loose your progress. That's fine right except when you glitch in close quarter combat. Patches should not constitute for ubisoft lack of effort. Patches are meant to fix parts not an entire wwe2k20 glitches. Shame on you ubisoft you failed this time. Good thing it's is free for ps5 if you own it on 4. Sarcastic this should make whoever approved the release to have 7 years of diarrhea with no toilet paper.    … Expand

    So many flaws in an otherwise good game. Can't get away from all the bugs. Which leaves the game good, but constantly annoying to play. Its unrefined, unpolished, premature in its release and otherwise clumsy. It is good, and arden fans should get it. For those who don't. You will not miss anything

    Казалось бы, деградировать ниже уже некуда, но юбисофт пробили очередное дно! Всё за что можно похвалить игру, это за красивое окружение (природу), остальное просто хуже некуда. Квесты (мировые события) это просто треш какой-то, кто их писал, заказали копирайтеру по доллару за квест походу, это уже какой-то ситком "викинги", одно петросянство. А кроме основного сюжета и грабежа деревень,Казалось бы, деградировать ниже уже некуда, но юбисофт пробили очередное дно!     EDIT 09.12.2020: New problems keep appear, latest is when ropes and grass and other stuff start disappear what makes stealth impossible. Also game still keep crashing at least once per session.     A game with the same recycled engine and great Viking theme but it fails to really deliver in being interesting aside from the environment and theme. It feels like a game made by a company with no passion that is just pushing things out the door. I doubt any of the employees are passionate about their jobs.

    This is the worst AC game in the last generation and it pains me to say this i had more fun with unity and syndicate.game is boring as hell,i'm 25 hours in the game i still do not know what or why am i doing what ever it is i'm doing nor do i care at this point,I'd rather replay Origins.

    Lacks creativity, Ubisoft killed the franchise.
    The missions are not much intresting ,the combat is quite similar, matter of fact previous ac combat was fun felt like we are a trained Assassin.
    The charm is lost.

    Боевая система стала получше если сравнивать с Одиссеей, хотя хотелось бы большего, пореалистичнее, попадания и движения более настоящими и чувствительными. В том же Синдикате она выглядела лучше и реалистичнее. Графика, прорисовка и картинка однозначно стали лучше. Эти аспекты для меня лично самые важные, всё остальное второстепенно.Боевая система стала получше если сравнивать с Одиссеей, хотя хотелось бы большего, пореалистичнее, попадания и движения более настоящими и чувствительными. В том же Синдикате она выглядела лучше и реалистичнее. Графика, прорисовка и картинка однозначно стали лучше. Эти аспекты для меня лично самые важные, всё остальное второстепенно.

    Beautiful graphics,

    And now I am going to explain why this game sucks, dear reader do remember the glory days of assassin's creed, oh yes assassin's creed 1-4, these game had passion love, and work put into them and these games were focused on love and passion rather than the money that came from them, sure you can say that all companies care about is money, and you wouldn't be wrong but there is a difference between a game that has actual work put into it than this hot piece of garbage.
    Now my thoughts out of the way, do not buy this game I am being serious, this game is a huge waste of money and time, the sad thing is that really wanted this game to be good, I remember the first showcase in June and I was scared of how **** it looked, but I was like " Nah it will be fine they will fix it", Boy was I wrong, this game is a buggy mess with freeze frames, screen tearing, absolutely stupid A.I. and other tons of **** you at this point they should just stop making games, in general, this game was one of the worst games of this year, no this decade. if you like this game that is good for you and I am actually happy that you found a game in this **** of trash.
    I really want this game to fail and fail badly so Ubisoft will learn a **** lesson from the Ghost of Tsushima, and learn how to make a game that isn't complete **** like the time span from 2005-2013    … Expand

    There was so much potential for this game. The graphics are excellent but sadly there is nothing of substance in the gameplay. Combat is repetitive(button mash) and the story is repetitive(befriend clans and raid with them). In a viking game, there is nearly no loot when all vikings did was loot. There is also no stealth opportunities whatsoever. Assassinating is completely gone from the game.

Combat feels terrible, the graphics are honestly a downgrade to Odyssey and especially Origins and are incredibly glitchy, and overall it doesn't even feel like an Assassin's Creed game and feels clucky as can be. I was always wary of Valhalla since it felt like this was Ubisoft wanting to cash in on the Vikings craze all while having the VikingI just can't recommend this game right now. Missions like the Big Finish (now is unable to end this mission if you interact with door before mission) Too many shutdowns errors.

    Honest review. The gameplay sucks!
    Nothing like the other games from the franchise. New looting system isn’t great for AC. The storyline could be better and conversations shorter. Cant count how many times I fell asleep during the game. Real sad to see the hype around it.

    Las mecánicas de movimiento del personaje se sientes forzadas, la movilidad y acción en las peleas es malísima. Y si encima agregas que tienes una barra de Stamina que cuando se acaba no se llena sola, sino que tienes que recibir o dar golpes para recargarla, total estupidez. La visión de Asesino (Vision de Odin como lo llaman ahora), no dura prácticamente nada activa, solo aparece y se desvanece sin siquiera darte la oportunidad de ver tu entorno, la vista desde el Cuervo (ave) a penas logra notar a los objetivos en el suelo, es mejor ni usarla (Una pena compararla con la del Aguila en AC Origins).

    Literalmente la peor Asssassins Creed de toda la saga, ni siquiera Unity fue tan mala. Básicamente quisieron tomar lo mejor de todas las Ac pasadas y ponerlo en una sola, (Barcos, Vision de Aguila, Vision de asesino, mecánicas de pelea de Ac Odysea y Origins, Usar la Hermandad como en Brotherhood) pero se siente como que no se detuvieron a completar nada, solo pusieron un monton de cosas incompletas en el juego.

    Una pena que hayan hecho tremendo disparate, para un fan de la saga.    … Expand

    Game breaking bug to main story line mission halted my progression, reported to Ubisoft on their official forums and after 4 weeks and easily over 160 hours of play and no response from Ubisoft and can not finish the main story line. This game is bugged garbage with no hope of a fix from the developers. BUYER BEWARE!!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! You have been warned.

    Очень много багов. Игра очень сырая. Не знаю как на консолях но на пк очень много проблем. Начиная от проваливающегося героя под текстуры и заканчивая лагами на топовом железе.

    I`m really hooked. I think it`s a really great game but the only thing that should improve is the optimization, sometimes FPS fall to the ground and sometimes they reach a really high level. Anyway, good job!

And I mean this is just what I can remember from the first 3 hours a week ago. I could have looked past a lot of it, but the game ending one really sucked

    (Figuratively and literrally) I am now 10 hrs into the game. Story is really intruiging. The combat mechanics were well polished. The openworld is more vibrant than the ones of origins and odyessey. Unfortuanetly the game is very buggy - patch 1.02.

    25 HOURS IN Just the same old game thy keep pushing out. Sadly they where very lazy with this game, and you can feel it ! As you pour more of your pressure time into this remake of AC Odyssey with some tweaks and some lazy production.You get the feeling of I Just got took $$ I would avoid this one and hold out for something fresh and exciting not a reskinned unimaginative moneymaker.

    Typical ubisoft crap that has nothing to do with assasins. The plot is shallow, the combat is clunky and cartoonish with only one finishing animation for each type of characters. If you want good viking stories just go finish all the Skellige side quest inthe Witcher 3. Please don't buy the game, don't encourage them to produce the garbage over and over again using the good names of Assasins.

Kein spass und kein höhepunkt oder sinn warum man das gerade macht. Nur eine schöne welt und macht noch lange nicht ein gutes spiel aus.     Enemies highlighted by Odin Sight/eagle vision don't stay highlighted. Equally, the bird friend is now useless, so when combat starts, everyone looks the same - friend and foe alike - and the screen turns into a dark muddy brown colour. Keeping track of the enemies in the combat is near impossible. Added to that confusion is the new (heavily watered-down) Dark Souls-esque stamina system. So if you try and dodge around to stop yourself from dying you eventually run out of stamina and have to wait to get your breath back.

    "Maybe this guy just sucks," I hear you say. But the truth is that there's nothing technical about the combat. It's a hack and slash. While Origins and Odyssey had fun abilities that would make the combat interesting and leave you feeling in control, this is just boring. Without the stamina it would honestly feel like mosou, with a long two handed swing slicing through enemies for the same amount of damage of their hit bars. Nothing visceral or powerful about it.

    Bird is now useless. It can't find anything other than iron ore, leather, and a few other resources, as well as a general location of some "wealth" (this game's 'good loot') and "mysteries" (side quests).

    On a positive note, the long winded side quests of Origins and Odyssey are now gone, if you didn't like them. Sadly, the 'mysteries' are now so meaningless that they aren't worth completing, except for the XP you desperately need to progress through the skills tree and make the game a little more bearable.

    The world is strange and doesn't feel like England. The map is a grid system of rivers, and the land masses are basically big hills. There are some moments or incredible beauty, but the big picture is that the world feels nothing like the England I grew up in. No matter where you are, the topography resembles the Peak District - a region celebrated for it's steep and dense hills. The rolling hills and open valleys of the rest of England are nowhere to be seen.

    Each area is it's own biome, and the first basically has a colour pallet of green, orange, and a lot of brown and black. It's not pretty.

    The first few hours of the story amount to (mild spoiler alert), 'Norway blows, let's bounce,' followed by invading England. It's not a reason in and of itself to continue playing. For people who don't like the AC Modern Day storyline, you'll be pleased to know that there is no significant Isu stuff going on, and the whole Assassin/Templar thing is pretty much optional until about the last third of the game.

    Gear and loot have been stripped right back. While you no longer have to deal with the ludicrous nature of carrying 100 weapons which you sell, you also don't have much to play with, and it takes a lot of the fun out of finding new weapons by spelunking. All you find is iron and leather to boost the stats of your existing weapon with all the originality of a 2006 MMO. This is supposed to reduce the amount of time you spend in menus managing a meaningless inventory. However, in an attempt to get players to 'learn about the world by playing,' or, 'live in the moment,' they've removed anything that looked like a tool to facilitate learning about the world and helping you get your bearings. I ironically spend more time in the menus in the this game that in any other AC.

    In summary;
    Combat is hack and slash; the more technical aspects of waiting for an opening in Origins and Odyssey are gone.
    Abilities take too long to get going.
    The story is meaningless and a tragically ironically conservative commentary on immigration without integration.
    There's no real Isu/Modern Day aspect, nor any real Assassin/Templar stuff.
    The world is muddy and dark.
    The exploration is infuriating and the player has the tools of a 2010 video game to help them navigate - but without a minimap.
    There is no real system of rewarding the player for exploring.
    The side quests are uninspired, contrived, poorly written, and ultimately pointless.
    The voice acting for the main character is about several steps down from Bayek and Kassandra, and the animations are typical Ubisoft.

    This game is unfinished from a design perspective, and that's before any mention of the never ending bugs. I didn't even know my PS4 had a 'database', but ACV has managed to break it three times.

    I've played every AC game, including Liberation HD and the 2.5D platformers. This is by far the worst of them. I have no idea what they were trying to achieve, but assuming it was meant to be something 'positive', they have failed.    … Expand

    I love the assasins creed series. Played and beat everyone except for Rogue. This is the absolute buggies POS Ubisoft has ever tried to pawn off. Unplayable. The game LITERALLY glitches every few minutes, whether it won't let you move or forces have of your character into the dirt causing you to glitch every few seconds. Come on Ubisoft.     Huge fan of the recent assassins creed games. This one still scratches the same itch but the lack of interesting loot and the early game bugs took away from the experience. Definitely enjoying it but it’s performance on the PS4 wasn’t great.

    It has the potential to be a fantastic title, but with the PS4 build currently riddled with bugs that soft lock players into not being able to continue the main story. I cannot reccomend this Assassin's Creed currently.

Secondly, the whole raid to evolve system is amazing. However, the game has a decent amount of bugs, which do not affect the gameplay, just the impressions. I would strongly say that this is a 9/10 compared to Odyssey (a decent RPG, not an AC gameDefinitely one of the best AC games in a while.     The presentation may be ready for a film, but AC Vahalla is a pure waste of time in terms of play. Like every Ubisoft game in recent years.

    The Metascore also proves once again how uncritical the "professional" media are and vote highly for every AAA game. Together with the army of (10er) fake reviews, who deliberately conceal all undesirable developments and the whole pointless time-consuming grind gameplay, it is clear that the voting is being manipulated here.

    I'm done with Ubisoft after this disaster. Three disappointments in a row are enough. I love the Viking setting, but Ubisoft is destroying the entire gaming experience with the repetitive gameplay. After a few hours you realize that you are always doing the same thing.     One word - WEAK. Weak characters, weak combat mechanics, weak story, weak plot, weak weapon variety, weak voiceovers and weak game-play - plus incredibly BUGGY. Weakest AOC to date. I wouldn't even recommend to buy half price. I give it 4 points for the graphics and music but this should be given for today's standards.

This one had the potential to be good, but the lack of quality makes it a disappointment. Maybe six months from now the game will be polished and in a much better state.     The graphics in PS4 are so bad comparing to the previous AC games, especially Origins and Odyssey. Also the new weapons and gears system is so rigid and badly designed that it makes the looting so boring

    Yeah it is a pretty cool game but i expected to the world to be a little more lively. I mean i want to get excited when i see a yellow dot. Очень много багов, просто капец, на ps4 slim просто невозможно играть, fps моментами просто улетает вниз, в квесте про Восточную Англию, в последнем задании на свадьбе нужно убить босса, но он с..ка просто лежит, игра не даёт никакой возможности завершить этот квест, постоянные ошибки, игра вылетает....
    короче, в техническом плане, игра не оптимизирована под младшие консоли совершенно...
    Я не могу даже насладиться геймплеем из-за эти багов...

    Assassins Creed Valhalla is a wonderful addition to the AC franchise. It manages to avoid the tropes that became overplayed and focuses on a small well structured story. The fighting mechanics are enjoyable and offer many choices to fit different playing styles. There are a significant amount of bugs and the AI is underwhelming at times. But it's still another step in the right direction for Ubisoft.
