"Classic Ubisoft"?, are you delusional? Just cause this game wont run perfectly on your 2013 console doesn't mean it's bad or something. People are enjoying it on PS5 and PC more than any other AC game in long time. You should give you reviewing because that's just pathetic. AC Valhalla is amazing open world game, specially after today's 1.0.4 update and of the best games

AC Valhalla is amazing open world game, specially after today's 1.0.4 update and of the best games of 2020. Only reason ps4 version has low user score is because some angry asian made over 20 fake accounts and gave it o's. Looks at all other user scores for AC Valhalla (PC, PS5 and so on, everything is over 7.6). Youtube videos posting about Valhalla get every day 100 000s of views, this game sold over 2million copies and was biggest launch in Assassin's Creed history. You can make up your "classic ubisoft" lies all day long, but this game already won. Deal with it. Reality is that you are not actual Assassin's Creed fan, but you are trying to find ways to whine about it anyway to promote some trash games that you like. Weak attempt at that.

Easy top 5 game from 2020. There's not much competition even. "Final Fantasy VII Remake", "Doom Eternal" ....ummm.....ummm.... "Ghost of Tsushima" i guess, but it had absolutely one of the worst camera angles ever and it wasn't that interesting, it was just overhyped, because "muh exclusives". All major issues were fixed in today's patch, whoever still gives it anything below 7/10 is not actual Assassin's Creed fan and your opinion doesn't count. It's one of the better Assassin's Creed games ever and if you don't like it, go play your avengers. Keep your hands off this awesomeness, if you give it 0 or 1 out of 10, you clearly don't deserve to play games like this anyway.

It's was very much playable already, but needed some work. After today's patch 1.0.4 it's basically perfect. All major issues i had are now fixed and it plays well on any system. Graphics look better than ever, framerate is solid. Amazing game!

Game just feels recycled. Unrefined. Ubisoft phoning it in because they feel as though they'll make money either way. Disappointment for years now. I don't expect there to be changes until the money starts to dry up.

Please note that this is two weeks after launch for the review. This is a beautiful, massive game, it's fun to play, has great systems (fishing, anyone?) and would EASILY be a 9 if it worked.
It doesn't. Twice, I've lost several hours of progress due to save glitches. This is the cardinal sin of the launch game; a beautiful experience that can't be enjoyed because the save system is,

I have to revire the game so low because it's obviously an awesome experience, well crafted if a little bloated... but that's meaningless if I can't actively save progress. Ubisoft's fix "in the coming weks" isn't heartening for a game I soent $120 on.

Combat is bad and broken. Sound is broken. Too much stuff to do for 100% the game. Way too much! Sjw politics all over. Girl power bs. Bad story. Bad jokes. Boring loot. Boring combat. Feels like it's made for kids, but have brutal combat... Makes it a bit wierd. I think this will be my last AC game. It's just sad to see how they screw it all over...

I enjoy the game, but it's clearly under-baked, riddled with too many bugs, and frequent crashes, I've had the game crash 3 times in one hour. The combat is different, not better than Origins or Odyssey, but they tried something different. The loot system is improved, making each piece of gear unique, instead of showering you with a multitude of useless loot. The game just lacks polish. If you compare it to Ghost of Tsushima, which is a similar type of game, is visually more impressive, it runs smoother, load times are significantly faster, than what AC Valhalla offers, load times are abysmal in Valhalla. The game doesn't have the quality a triple A game should have. I love Assassin's Creed games, and I've played all of them. This one had the potential to be good, but the lack of quality makes it a disappointment. Maybe six months from now the game will be polished and in a much better state. But as it stands, it's worse than AC Unity. AC Unity was in a much better state in comparison. Do better Ubisoft. Expand

I've been playing AC for a while and this game just doesn't do it for me. Over the past few games, there has been a big move away from stealth and assassinations and pretty much just making a brawler set in the AC universe. For Origins and Odyssey, I at least felt like the setting and story and decent ranged options made them good games, but Valhalla just isn't doing it.

Story is surprisingly good, it almost sucks to bring it out like some BIG thing, but Odyssey's story was too "all over the place" and boring, at least to me. It had way too much pointless filler. Valhalla actually innovates a lot and feels more like Black Flag and Unity in 2020.

There is NO game play here. All the focus is in creating some half ass movie. If you can press B to skip, then your game isn't worthy to begin with. Let that set in developer.

I am a four days into playing and going to put it on Ebay. So glad I got the CD version of this so that I can sell it. Let's see what Cyberpunk brings to the table.

There are far fewer cookie-cutter outposts than in previous AC’s, and most sidequests now offer an interesting story, sometimes even with a less-than-obvious solution. While some anti-grind measures have backfired, Ubisoft is on the right track. [Issue#250, page 56]

Assassins Creed Valhalla is a wonderful addition to the AC franchise. It manages to avoid the tropes that became overplayed and focuses on a small well structured story. The fighting mechanics are enjoyable and offer many choices to fit different playing styles. There are a significant amount of bugs and the AI is underwhelming at times. But it's still another step in the right direction for Ubisoft.
