What really captivates me in this game other than graphics and story is music. Absolutely beautiful ambient soundtrack. Just beautiful. Ubisoft, once again making Christmas time better! Specially in absolute trash year like 2020.

This game brought happiness and joy back into my life. Ubisoft literally cured my depression. Thank you Ubisoft, so, so, so much! This is not fake or troll post. I literally felt like sht and this game made me feel so much better and so much more alive. I don't even care, if anyone believes me. Thank you Ubisoft, i mean it.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla is absolutely amazing, specially after patch 1.0.4 and next patch is coming in few days. Highly recommending this game. One of the best of 2020.

Cyberpunk fanboys are absolutely pathetic. Valhalla and many other actually good games from past 4 years got so much hate because they had few bugs (not even comparable how buggy Cyberpunk is on Ps4 and even on PC). But now when everyone knows that Cyberpunk is buggy mess, every fanboy tries to act like "it's just fine". Pathetic. It's top level hypocrisy!

Cyberpunk is nothing new or nothing special anyway. It's literally mixture of Skyrim and GTA V, absolute wannabe with worse world details than GTA 4 from 2008.
I'm extremely disappointed in Cyberpunk 2077 PS4 (PC as well) performance and bugs and very soon millions of other people will be as well. Cyberpunk fanboys always whined about other games when they had any bugs at launch and acted like "Cyberpunk 2077 will be this "Absolute Next-Gen miracle". It's time for reality check i guess. All it proves is that sheep will follow basically anything that gets popularity and likes.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla is nice game that takes place in 800s Norway and England. Graphically one of the best of 2020, story is solid, combat is very brutal.

I'm so extremely happy i actually waited and bought Valhalla instead of Cyberpunk 2077. I saw tons of leaked Cyberpunk footage and this game is just not ready, not even close.

I wanna give this game 10. Such a beautiful game and reminds me of Ghost of Tsushima somehow. That same vibe. I love this Asasin, i think new titles will be even sicker

Thank god i found Gamespot review for Cyberpunk 2077, they literally gave Cyberpunk 2077 lower score than Valhalla. Cyberpunk must be really buggy, because 7/10 is pretty low score for game that has been in development over 7 years. So as of right now i bought Valhalla and so far it's pretty nice. Maybe trying Cyberpunk 2077 in 2021 when they finally fix the game.

What an absolute fail Cyberpunk 2077 is, i'm not saying that Valhalla is masterpiece (of course not, but it's at least solid open-world game). And yes PC version is "okay", but PS4 and Xbox One versions (versions that will sell the most)? These look awful and are extremely buggy. Even PC version is buggy. Gonna wait until 2022 to play it. Until then i can enjoy Valhalla. Expand

Seems like Cyberpunk 2077 didn't live up to expectations. I watched some gameplay and nothing looked extremely new or interesting. More like same old, same old. Bough AC Valhalla instead and so far it's really fun. Of course AC Valhalla isn't anything new either, but at least it's fun and less buggy unlike Cyberpunk 2077.

This is best Ubisoft game in 3 years. I can't believe they delivered so well this time. Odyssey was big disappointment to me, so i wasn't expecting much. Yeah it had some bugs, but ones that annoyed me got fixed with patch 1.0.4. Apparently Cyberpunk 2077 is even buggier, so whoever whines about Valhalla bugs is just hypocrite at this point.

No it's not! You clearly haven't even played it. Good luck with your Cyberbug 2077, because Rockstar made better open world city in 2008 and that was GTA 4. Assassin's Creed Valhalla has tons of new elements, better graphics than last games, good story etc. Your "copy paste" narrative doesn't work here, nice try. Unlike you, i have played every Assassin's Creed since

After playing it nearly 60 hours i can say that it's very nice game. Like seriously. Whoever is giving it low scores is just afraid that "Cyberhype 2077" gets less attention. I personally like both games, but i just hate when something is extremely overhyped.

Amazing game that has Four huge maps (Norway, England (biggest of them all), North-America and "Dream World". They will also add Ireland later. Really good game, specially compared to other trash that has come out in 2020.

Very good game, finally people found out that Cyberpunk 2077 is buggier than this game ever was. Who could have known? Before that everyone acted like "Cyberpunk 2077" will be perfect and Valhalla having few bugs is end of the world. Who's laughing now?

Another amazing new product from the Assassin series that will take a lot of time to play. A good combination of ships from different cities and the story, including a lot of other missions. I've been stuck for 60 hours but I'm still a long way off...

Game breaking bug to main story line mission halted my progression, reported to Ubisoft on their official forums and after 4 weeks and easily over 160 hours of play and no response from Ubisoft and can not finish the main story line. This game is bugged garbage with no hope of a fix from the developers. BUYER BEWARE!!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! You have been warned.

But Valhalla is a step back to frustration, bugs, moving away from the shadowy creed we all love. Poor controls often let you down when sneaking and turn a game of shadows into a repetitive hack and slash bore. It would have been ok if the fighting was any good, but somehow they messed that up. Without spoiling too much, there is a place similar to that odd tropical island in RDR2 that I just can't understand why they added to the game. You play a bloodthirsty viking in a foreign land, but too often do you have to engage in politics (walk around and talk to different people) and compete in rhyme (game of words). Graphics are also a rather big step back from the latest 2 instalments that were very impressive. And don't get me started on the singing. I want to run that longboat aground as soon as the *** crew starts that tedious mumbling. Any psalm is more upbeat than that torture. Vikings high on mushrooms going on a raid, and you think that is the sort of songs they chant? I will most likely play through this one as well, but it's just due to lack of options right now. I can't keep playing dead cells forever... Expand

This entry in the Assassin's Creed Series is arguably much better than Odyssey in terms of story, progression, and voice acting.

There are far fewer cookie-cutter outposts than in previous AC’s, and most sidequests now offer an interesting story, sometimes even with a less-than-obvious solution. While some anti-grind measures have backfired, Ubisoft is on the right track. [Issue#250, page 56]

Assassins Creed Valhalla is a wonderful addition to the AC franchise. It manages to avoid the tropes that became overplayed and focuses on a small well structured story. The fighting mechanics are enjoyable and offer many choices to fit different playing styles. There are a significant amount of bugs and the AI is underwhelming at times. But it's still another step in the right direction for Ubisoft.

When Valhalla is at its best, it evolves series mechanics. And when you’re cruising down river, about to blow your raiding horn, there’s nothing quite like it. [Issue#183, p.71]
