Dear Ubisfot - the bigger and longer isn't always better.
If you make a game that long then at least make a satisfying ending after these >100h. At least one the 3 endings (main story, England conquer, Order) should be satysfying, but they were all just bleh.
When it comes to the story in general - it's bloated and majority of it just doesn't matter. Some of the arcs don't add anything

When it comes to the story in general - it's bloated and majority of it just doesn't matter. Some of the arcs don't add anything to the story, the devs just added them there to make your gameplay 10h longer (or more).
World events were designed to be very short, but due to that they are usually also very forgetable and pointless. I get the idea that Ubisfot is criticized for repetitive side quest, but this is not the best solution. I would like to see less side activities, but at the same time they should be more meaningful to the character and/or the story.
Apart from that, they game had of course its good points - graphics, some story arcs, exploring the beautiful open world (especially Norway).

Going away from stealth is another thing which annoyed me a lot considering you still need to do stealth for trophy ,they should have kept Eagle abilities ( Ravan in this case) . There are also bugs even tho I waited on purpose all this time for UBISOFT to fix some of them and yet still in middle of mission sometimes I will have my character just fly up in the sky for no good reason forcing me to reload and do whatever I was doing again.
I always play AC games for Platinum trophy and as long as they are normally I enjoy them ,this game is just a pain in my ass and story is fairly predictable.
*If you are hunting platinum trophy there is a nice surprise for you when you get to certain mystery towards the end of the game called Saint Faith which was supposed to be fixed and yet still preventing people from getting Platinum trophy.
And just to clarify this game is FAR from Garbage as some people call it but it's nothing special either.

Story: I never found any AC story mind blowing but I liked the characters and the way the game tells the story in the form of chapters.
Problem is that half looks filler but still made me follow to see the end
Gameplay: The world is big and beautiful. You already know it's simple and heavy and doesn't have the possibilities that Ghost of Tsushima offers. I wish it had more combo options

Music: Good for listening in-game, not so good for downloading playlist on spotify

Overall: Wait for the price drop and will worth it. It's a fun game with tons of content to do and collect (Weapons, mysteries, Settlement, Hunt, Hunt the order, play in Asgard and Vinland) with good-ish story and gameplay

Odyssey wasn't good as all, but Valhalla make so many things wrong, going in a wrong direction. I want have back the old style stealth action. Not this RPG style Skyrim-fake.

Barely had anything to do with assassins. So if you're looking for an assassins creed game? You might as well just play the previous titles (excluding Odyssey)

Its incredibly bloated and by the third or even by the second act you just want it to end. Stealth is pretty much not an option, ever, since enemies can spot you with their backs turned from a mile away.

Massive world, quests, combat, everything was good. Yes. I had that feeling IN 2013 when Assassin's Creed: Black Flag came out. It's been seven years and there's barely innovation. You're playing the same game but with different settings. For people who have played Assassin's Creed for the last 13 years, gaming at least for the past 20 years, Ubisoft will simply not satisfy you anymore unless they change up the formulas a bit.

    The bad:
    - The parry system has a delay. Comparing to Ghost of Tsushima where Jin Sakai instantly holds his blade up to deflect enemy attacks at the exact moment you press L1, Eivor (the main protagonist)tries to deflect an attack in 0.5 seconds after you pressed the L1 button. Not sure if this is a design flaw or done purposely, but I didn't encounter any of this in the last Assassin's Creed.

    - Again, the combat is rather uninspired. Comparing to Ghost of Tsushima where you get 4 fighting styles, you can equip various weapons on your left and right hand. It feels very buggy when your right hand is a heavy weapon and your left hand is a hammer.

    - They look most of the loot away. You can't really collect as many weapons and armor or gear anymore and compare their stats instantly in the menu now. Most of your rewards when you complete quests or raids will result in you getting more crafting components. These crafting components can then use it for upgrading. Not gonna lie, you might just happen to keep every gear without selling any of them when you complete the game.

-Maps way too huge with nothing to collect. Personal preference. Since there is no gear to actually collect, it's kind of pointless to wander around and plunder. Sure, you can collect the wealth to upgrade your settlement, but it feels pointless.

    - Dull characters and story. The Vikings are rather honorable and tamed, and not as brutal as they are supposed to be in their historical counterpart. Though I suppose they are depicted as the actual heroes of the story so they can't have the brutality shown and portrayed in the game. In the story, you travel from one place to another, constantly having new characters shown in an area where you have to earn their for them to pledge their allegiance to you. Rinse and repeat and that's pretty the story. The amount of characters in this game makes you care less and less the more you are introduced.

    - Frustrating to find the treasures. Is it even worth it?

So, if you are inexperienced or unfamiliar with Ubisoft games, you will love this game.

The quests, especially the world activities, don't give you any markers or anything in Eagle Vision to know where you are going. As a male Eivor, I counted only 1 female romance option and lost track around 7 homosexual characters - not very inclusive. The scenery, while probably accurate, is the most dull choice they could've made. It is almost nothing but swamp and field, which is difficult for a climbing-based game. Also, several side quests can't be completed because the game refuses to acknowledge anonymity status after eliminating everyone. Gameplay was fair, but the antagonist was predictable. If they fixed the story and quests, then maybe I'd bump the rating up to a 1. Or if they actually listen to customer submitted glitch reports before releasing unwanted DLC expansions. Not that they probably care. And by the way, this is from multiple gamers, not just me. Expand

    İyiGame Good Things

    Story (No spoilers)
The story of the game lasts for a minimum of 60 maximum 90 hours according to the gameplay. This is good news for those who pre-order the game like me or buy it shortly after the release, but it contains a handicap that can be liked in general, but it progresses very disconnected from each other, unfortunately. The 20-minute episode in the final of the game did not satisfy me, but this does not show that it is bad, I can say that it is an Assasin's Creed game with a good final.

    Play
Even though it feels very strange after experiencing 100+ hours of power fantasy and origins in Assasin's Creed Odyssey, the gameplay of the game depends on the person's ability to parry and attack at the right time is a concept that I always like and generally the finisher animations repeat themselves after 70 hours of playing. I can also say that it is satisfactory, the feeling of the hit is still weak, but it is stronger than origins and odyssey in general, I can say that I did not experience a certain error problem or animation glitch while playing, so it has a nice gameplay but unfortunately it cannot handle a 70-hour game.
    Graphics
I finished the game on PlayStation 4 and I can say that the water appearance and effects were better compared to the first 2 games of the series, but of course since it is a brand that releases a game every year or 2 years, I did not see a difference, of course, this is my ps4. It may also be due to my playing so I do not go too long here.
    Game's Map
England and Norway are beautifully reflected, but I think it is too colorful for a country that has constant rainfall and sees the sun once a month, or I look at it in detail.

To me it looks like the members of a certain religious group following a certain religion of peace are trying to find ways to justify that they are gaining a foothold for their culture the current age all around northern Europe, hence they had the very good idea of attempting to rewrite the history of northern Europe. I guess that is the point of Woke culture. Unluckily I couldn't ask for the purchase to be refunded or I would have asked so.

As has been the case with the last two AC games, it's really nice to look at, and the developers do a nice job of trying to insert the fictional "assassin" in with actual historical characters and various deities/mythological creatures which makes the story interesting. Unfortunately, the side quests are grindy (though blessedly finite), so cleaning up to get the Platinum (even with YouTube University to help) is daunting (despite a significantly smaller map than Odyssey). Voice acting is uneven, but I entertained myself by pretending that the actors for Basim and female Eivor were having a contest to smoke the most cigarettes during production. The music was also lackluster save for Einar Selvik's in-battle vocal compositions (disappointing, because I liked Jesper Kyd and Sarah Schachner's previous AC contributions). Improvements over the last installment include getting rid of the infinitely generating side quests and mercenaries, the animal hunts are far less grindy (remember the Elephant battles in Origins? Sheesh), it is actually possible to assassinate brutes/more powerful enemies (thank you), but there is a timing mechanic that determines your success (fair enough). Step backs include long loading times (for either fast travel or respawning), the nonsensical stamina system (blocking tires you, but attacking gets you more stamina ??), the irritating fishing mode, and a thoroughly predictable final act, with the possible exception of how the past ties in with the modern day arc. Seriously, who didn't know who the head of the "Templars" in this game was by the halfway point? I was ambivalent toward the levelling system, but I will say that the "return fire" special ability is by far my favorite mechanic introduced into the series in a LONG time. The AI's ability to spot you on normal stealth difficulty (vs. Master Assassin, which you can select early on) is a little too "good." Not as bad as "Unity" which could spot you WHILE BLENDED FFS, but I can only imagine being frustrated had I gone the more difficult route. Valhalla is a good time until you complete the story. Then it just kind of...lingers. Expand

There are far fewer cookie-cutter outposts than in previous AC’s, and most sidequests now offer an interesting story, sometimes even with a less-than-obvious solution. While some anti-grind measures have backfired, Ubisoft is on the right track. [Issue#250, page 56]

Assassins Creed Valhalla is a wonderful addition to the AC franchise. It manages to avoid the tropes that became overplayed and focuses on a small well structured story. The fighting mechanics are enjoyable and offer many choices to fit different playing styles. There are a significant amount of bugs and the AI is underwhelming at times. But it's still another step in the right direction for Ubisoft.
