now onto the bad things, whilst i enjoyed the story it feels a little disjointed like one minute your hunting for sigurd and hes supposdly your only goal, the next youve completly forgot about him and helping the next side charcter, then we have side missions just this new choice to make them just a in and out was a bad one rather then make trully gripping side missions they instead choose to make them simply in and out i can only rember 1 single side mission and that was helping 2 idiots who wanted to be vikings, maybe if they were a little bit more intresting this would be fine but as it stands its realy boring

so gonna go 7/10 above average but plenty of gripes

Progress was one of the things that kept me with this series, Black Flag had huge world to explore in 2013, Paris looked absolutely stunning in 2014, Syndicate wasn't perfect, but London was still really nice location, Origins was even bigger game and obvious next step, while Valhalla perfected flaws of Origins and Odyssey. I really hope these leaks are not true, but if they are, i refuse to buy or support this next game. If they really go back to AC1-AC3 style then i'm done with this series and as of right now that seems to be the case. I'm almost certain that these awful leaks are true and they really do that. It' sad, but nothing lasts forever i guess. All i have to say that, thank you Ubisoft for these amazing games and this series once meant to me A LOT. Expand

511 negative reviews? Really? People are really that desperate to hate this game? Get a life haters, seriously, this is pathetic. Valhalla is here to stay! It's easily better than Odyssey and even Origins. I still like Black Flag more, but Black Flag is top tier game and i was never expecting Valhalla to be better than that. I hope i'm wrong tho, but that's exactly what those people on youtube want. They are minority, but they are constantly annoying Ubisoft that "new games bad, old games good" and i'm afraid Ubisoft might actually listen them. Of course i hope i'm wrong, but if not, i refuse to support or play next AC game. Basically if next game will be like ac 1 or revelations, to me this series is dead. If it's like black flag or even Unity, i would be fine with it, because Unity already had tons of customization options and rpg elements, it also had better parkour than any of the older games. So that would be fine. Expand

Only reason i even started caring about AC series was AC 4. Making AC 4 is literally best decision Ubisoft has ever done. I'm so, so, so glad that this Desmond **** went finally away. Reason most people play these games i going back in time, not some modern day nonsense. I wish these games never had modern day, but it is what it is, thankfully AC games got so much better starting with AC 4. AC 3 was just horrible. Ubisoft, you should only listen to your real fans, not this minority who doesn't even care about anything you have done since 2013. They are almost as annoying as people who whine under every resident evil 4 remake video, that they want code veronica remake more. Resident evil 4 is million times better game, more important game and more popular game. These who whine about code veronica are also just small group of people who don't even care about resident evil 4 at all. It's literally same with thing with AC games. I swear Ubisoft, if you go back to this AC1-AC3 nonsense, i will stop buying your games, i will stop promoting your games to my friends and i will never play any of your games ever again. Assassin's Creed Valhalla es en efecto un buen juego, el gameplay, soundtrack y ambientación simplemente son hipnóticos, pero hay un par de cosas por las cuales no le he puesto 10/10

Sure it had some bugs and still has some bugs here and there, but overall it was working game from day 1, unlike cyberpunk 2077. Solid AC, personally i enjoyed it way more than last two entries. Specially from story and map design standpoint. It's just interesting to explore England and Norway. Empty desert in Origins and endless amount of Islands in Odyssey were just meh. But seems like they have almost perfected their idea how to make huge open world maps interesting.

There's absolutely no question that i'm bigger AC fan that he could ever dream to be. Calling Valhalla garbage is biggest joke in years. Valhalla is easily better than both Origins and specially Odyssey. Valhalla is first AC game in long time where it has been really interesting to finally explore the open world. You mentioned how interesting pyramids were in Origins, well of course. But here the thing, they were one of the few interesting things about Origins. Most of it was boring empty desert. I don't hate Origins, but it wasn't as interesting as Valhalla. Valhalla has way better story, better character and better open world. You said that England doesn't have landmarks or places to explore. Kidding me? London? Stonehenge? Huge castles? Mountains in Norway? There's so much to explore. Valhalla is easily one of the better designed maps Ubisoft has ever done, just behind Black Flag. There you go. You said that you laugh at people who think Origins is meh, well i laugh at you saying that Valhalla is garbage. There's clearly, very clearly more people who like Valhalla than Origins. Valhalla was biggest PC launch for Ubisoft EVER. It had over 2 million players in launch month alone. Jor Raptor gets 100 000s views on almost every Valhalla video he makes. People very clearly like this game and many have said that they absolutely love Valhalla map designs. Showing your "poll" as some evidence is BS, because most people answered that they haven't even played this game, but you said that people agree with you. Hell no. Thankfully you don't get that many views, so i don't really care that much, but this one video made me write this, because it was just too much nonsense. If you can have your BS opinion, then i have every right to have my opinion about your video and point out false things. I have been Assassin's Creed supporter and fan over 10 years and i very likely like games that you don't even like, because you seem like somebody who hops on hype trains. You know very well that people who whine about new games are just nostalgia nerds who hate every game after AC 3. I have always liked Unity and even Syndicate and i strongly doubt you like them. If you do, fair, but my point about Valhalla's map stands. Expand

Some finisher cutscenes are excessively long and not cool and I have seen them all about 2500 times each. By the end of the game I started avoiding combat because it sucked so bad. Raids are one of the worst parts of the game as you need to wait for a friendly npc to open any door and then wait for another friendly npc to open the chests and sometimes they do not show up for a while. Not bad, but worse than previous parts. Nice environment as always, i would say perfect. I loved the water and the waves especially. The sun's beams are awesome. But that's all. The storyline is extremely weak. Boring. In every location you perform the same scenario... Can't say anymore to not reveal spoilers, but if you don't play this game you won't lose anything.

It's good but I highly recommend beating it as fast as possible. It reuses a lot of assets so you literally do the same thing like 7 times with a slightly different variant.

And towards the end of the game you become so OP that fighting becomes a chore.

There are far fewer cookie-cutter outposts than in previous AC’s, and most sidequests now offer an interesting story, sometimes even with a less-than-obvious solution. While some anti-grind measures have backfired, Ubisoft is on the right track. [Issue#250, page 56]

Assassins Creed Valhalla is a wonderful addition to the AC franchise. It manages to avoid the tropes that became overplayed and focuses on a small well structured story. The fighting mechanics are enjoyable and offer many choices to fit different playing styles. There are a significant amount of bugs and the AI is underwhelming at times. But it's still another step in the right direction for Ubisoft.
