Underrated game. Troubled at launch? Yes, but afterwards it was patched and it is very good

A stunning setting, enjoyable characters and improved gameplay mechanics make Unity a good if not too impressive return to the classic AC formula after IV, technical problems aside.

For me, the game was good but considering it had to live up to Black Flag’s hype & expectations, it fell short unfortunately. I loved the story line, I think it’s one of the best from all assassin creed games. All in all, the game isn’t as bad as the ratings it was given, in my opinion. Expand

I`ve really enjoyed the game. Its fresh and visuals are superb. I really liked how player to environment scale is maintained. You feel like real peron in real big city. Through the whole game, i had feeling that balance is perfect. You always getting some historical data explanation to aech side mission. I was very surprized with investigation (magnifying glass) side quests. They feels like a fresh breeze and open another side of the gameplay.
I gave it 9 instead of 10 just because :
    - I found clothes and weapon system a bit confusing, It is har to tell how specific armor impacts overall player stats.
    - When doing beat-em-all style of play - some fight animations of player are too long , which results in inablitiy to parry or counter atack.
    - May be its just me , but I had constant feelinmg that Elise character is redundand and can be easily removed from the story. It feels a bit awkward.

Set after the events of AC3 and AC Rogue, Assassin's Creed Unity is a big beautiful buggy mess. There were so much missed opportunities that can be implemented but I guess Ubisoft were greedy to give a smidt. At least, Dead Kings DLC is free though despite a broken love story that feels too depressing to care about.

This game was very pretty for its time, and arguably the best realised city in an AC game when it was released. I Plat this recently, so have a decent gauge on the title. Unfortunately the thing that immediately stands out in my mind: the controls.

Ab-so-lutely the worst controls in an AC game, and any platformer / open world game I've ever played in general. Actually so bad I felt myself writhing in pain at points and audibly screeching at the non-responsiveness at times, the inconsistency and unexpected jank, how there's often a delay (by which time you're already screwed), how it demands precise control at times when the control is anything but precise.

I am soo glad they fixed the controls in later AC games, such as Origins or Odyssey. There were a handful bugs in this fully patched version, but extremely rare in a game full of 'stuff' to do. Sometimes repetitive stuff, sometimes mind-numbing stuff, but there's stuff, and a lot of it. And chests, and cockade collectibles, and a lot of them. Too many of them. You have 250+ collectibles, and thank god you can open all chests. When the game originally released you needed a mobile app to open some chests. Ubisoft saw sense and fixed that at the end of 2014. Also, special mention about all the side-missions, many of which are very samey and repetitive, but some definitely stood out as decent. For example, I found co-op fun. This was probably my favourite side content outside of some of the heists missions and the Rift missions. However the Murder Mystery / Companion / Paris stories stuff? Not so much. Really grindy, and really samey.

The game also manages getting 00's of NPC on screen at a time, which caused some of the launch issues on fps. Playing it today, I have to hand it to them. The FPS did not stand out to me. The issues with this game are the controls. I pushed through as it's AC, and I hate to not 100% games if I can avoid. Will I ever touch this game again though? Heck no. This one for AC series completionists only.

Mais o resto tudo me agradou.

Assassin's Creed Unity could have some technical problems but that didn't prevent me for having an amazing and enjoyable experience in the very detailed map of Paris. Of course the patches made the game more stable but not perfect. The story makes you revisit old historical characters like Napoleone Bonaparte and some very interesting historical events with a unique protagonist, Arno Dorian. Exploring is what I enjoyed the most thanks to a very satisfying parkour system that I considered the most fluent in any other AC game. This game unfortunately suffers from the usual Ubisoft habit to fill the map with an exaggerated quantity of useless collectibles that force you to get them if you want the platinum trophy.

By far the worst assassins creed to this piont. The Controlls are terrible. When u want to climb down a wall the game does other things 90% of the time. It is nearly impossible to stay undercover and every enemy shoots you down with you having no Chance to attack him. The worst 20 hours of my life. Only played it because I want to play all assassins creed games...

This i probebly one of my favorite assassin's creed game the story is decent but it more then makes up for it in the openworld department.
the gamepplay and the customization is one of my favorite so far the only thing it lacks imo is that one can't fight with the hidden blade.

The story is formulaic in parts but it has some interesting ideas and missions that were enjoyable. The multiplayer component is handled in a very meh way, seems more put there just because corporate mandate than truly creative direction, but for a couple of missions wasn't that bad. And in obvious fashion for a Ubisoft game, it has so much content, but a lot of it is repetitive or not worth the time. In conclusion, I enjoyed my time in paris, but is not one that I wanted to prolongue more than move on with the next adventure. If you like the series, give it a go at a low price. Expand

Years after its launch, this game is still a broken mess. The parkour system was completely destroyed so it takes about 500 tries just to hop up a two foot ledge. The parkour system was completely destroyed so it takes about 500 tries just to hop up a two foot ledge. They made a big deal about being able to run into windows and stuff but they didn't tell everyone that it actually takes 20 minutes to do so because the system is so broken. Arno will do literally everything you don't want him to do, constantly screwing up your plans and getting every single enemy on you. When you inevitably get caught because you can't detach yourself from a sofa or a 2x4 on the ground, you'll be constantly bombarded by enemies that shoot you with pinpoint accuracy from every single direction all at once, and if you try to interrupt them with a sword swing, they'll just fire immediately instead of after 5 seconds. Enemies attack you all at once now so you'll most of the time end up in an endless parry loop until one enemy disables your circle button and forces you to get hit for no reason. If you try to run away from them you'll end up falling victim to the parkour that got you caught in the first place, and you'll attach yourself to a nearby wall and start to climb up with no prompting whatsoever and you'll be hanging there on the wall in convenient gun range and you'll immediately be shot to death by every single guard in Paris and then your lifeless body will fall to the ground and ragdoll all over the place and clip into a wall before falling through the map and then the game will crash and corrupt your save data and then light your PS4 on fire and makes it shoot melted plastic at your face from the disc drive.

This game is pure trash and successfully killed the Assassin's Creed series single-handedly. Even putting aside the whole broken release fiasco, this game is completely trash even when it's working as intended. It's bad. It's explosively apocalyptically bad and nobody should buy it or any future title in the series until Ubisoft figures out how to make games and not tests of anger and frustration.
