    I loved this underground london idea with a male and a female character on the line,story was kinda a crap and I think I saw this game once before so...it's playable but not very good AC game!

    Eu gosto muito da história da Revolução Industrial e o jogo conseguiu transmitir a época de forma excepcional eu joguei me sentindo na Londres do século 19, poder ir trocando de personagem entre os irmãos Fry funcionou muito bem mas a história não é tão memorável.

    Game played fun but lacked anything exceptional. Story was fairly boring and the open world features were fatiguing. Not a bad game if you skip all the repetitive extras and rush right to the end, but otherwise you will note yourself. Still a step up from Unity!!

    Доп задания есть хорошие, а есть унылые захваты районов. Донат присутствует, хоть и не мешает особо играть.
    В целом игра понравилась, однако после юнити ожидал немного большего, чувствуется некоторые    Игра красивая, работает на PS4 стабильно. Сюжет слабенький, боёвка очень казуальная, старался играть по стелсу, он реально хорош, если не считать читерские способности главной героини.

    I'ts clear to AC Syndicate is far better than Unity. Graphics and sounds are still the same. However, at the exit there were less bugs than the previous. I like the personality except Jacob. I feel he says sentences without sense. They need to improve the controls and put more objects to do parkour. Without parkour it's not a AC game. Putting activities is pretty nice but when you spendI'ts clear to AC Syndicate is far better than Unity. Graphics and sounds are still the same.     A good title with less bug from his predecessor the combact system is the good thing about this gam..the story is fine but the parkour is totally absent for the mechanic grapple system.Good character and beatiful city to explore with a fine activity to complete

    Poor 3d modellers! They carefully built such a fantastic London setting is fantastic, and the mission designers didn't care to put even one inventive or exciting mission in the game. The campaign is made of generic missions, and side content feels like auto-generated filler content.     So.....

    Only recommended if you're super hyped about Victorian/steampunk London setting! The virtual rendition of London is marvelous and interesting. The game wastes both setting and characters on rompy entertainment-flick-clichés, and gameplay that too often collapses under annoying controls and weird, embarrassing bugs. Few, if any, missions add anything new to mission formulas that constantly copy games of the distant past.

    If you're super hyped about crossing the virtual Thames river, climbing various famous buildings, then maybe consider it? But don't expect a polished next-gen game. The gameplay feels copy-pasted from PS2.

    I would give 4/10 but the game has virtual Darwin and virtual Karl Marx in virtual London. It's kind of amusing like that, occasionally.    … Expand

    Assassin's Creed Syndicate is a mixed bag. The voice acting is excellent, the graphics are great and the dynamic between the two main protagonists adds a lot to the story. Gameplay wise the the parkour works generally very well the fighting is good and the AI an improvement on the last one I played. The actual assassinations are fun too, you can do your own thing or interact with the rightAssassin's Creed Syndicate is a mixed bag.     However, this is an Ubisoft game so the map is absolutely packed with pointless collectables and boring side quests. I know you don't have to do them but I'm something of a completionist and also you need to do a certain amount to level up enough to be competitive.

    If Assassin's Creed Syndicate was more focused with a smaller map and less distractions this would have been a very good game. instead you spend 90% of your time clearing the map of random things and when you come back to the story you've forgotten who you're helping and why.     Pros environment look good game play alright smooth u can drive a carriage yippy change assassin creed meet gta style

    Cons bit buggy u notice little bit bugs u can always tell Main mission Way to short 9 sequence 4 part each one but still to short

    Ending was so bad

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Minor spoilers. Okay. First of all I only bought the game because I'm an Anglophile and wanted to run around Victorian London (which I've visited in real life four times) and play the Jack the Ripper DLC (I'm also an amateur Ripperologist.) Have been waiting desperately for an Assassin's Creed based in London. Secondly - I did not play Unity but if this is better than Unity then Unity must have been attrocious. Last game I played was Black Flag which was pretty good. This one, however, I've got some major problems with. Haven't experienced any glitches or anything but I'm already bored to death. I've finished Whitechapel and am about half way in Lambeth. In reality, Whitechapel is in the "East End" of London and yet they've situated it in the north of London!!! Why??? Anyone remember East Enders show on BBC? That's Whitechapel. "EAST" end, Ubisoft!!! Not north. In those days Whitechapel Bell Foundry was the biggest industry in the area. They made the Big Ben bell and the Liberty Bell! - yet I see no sign of it!! Why??? They've got two train stations and other factorys, why not this one? The rest of London looks historically accurate as to placement but we'll have to see once I get there.

    My major complaint is that this game seems really dumbed down from AC 2 and even Black Flag. The story sucks or lack of story I should say. Big deal - you're a brother and sister trying to start a rival gang in London against the Templars - ho hum. You don't even really care about them. There is no 'hook' like there was with Ezio (outrage at the Borgias for killing his family and getting revenge, finding out his father was an Assassin, etc.) Evie is okay but Jacob's an ass. Now you're already Assassins and the beginning at Abstergo went by so fast I can't even remember what it was about. Only that they brought two people back from AC 2. BECAUSE THAT GAME WAS GREAT and you've gone downhill since Ubisoft!!!!!

    Climbing towers in AC2 was really hard at times - figuring which side to go up, which handhold led somewhere - now you can scale everything with ease. No challenge at all. I know jumping in AC games is ridiculously unreal but in this game you're leaping 10 ft above yourself with no problem. Ezio had to learn the high jump, remember? You don't even do the scan around each high point to open up an area when you reach it - all areas are open to you but are based on skill level - you just do the Leap of Faith (which is also glitched - I keep hanging off edge not jumping.) The controls are weirder than previous games - you can't free jump in the air to reach a Helix even if you crash and die. Actually, I haven't crashed and died once!! Boring. No skill is involved at all in climbing and jumping. A 3 yr. old could play this.

    It's kind of neat playing two different characters but they both have the same skills, weapons, clothes, etc. Boring. And they said they both should level up together but they don't. I played Evie for all of Whitechapel then switched to Jacob and had to re-assign all skill points again that I earned with Evie to bring him up to same level. Tedious. And also you used to be able to walk around a town without every goddam cop coming after you. Now they are everywhere along with rival gang members. It took me 15 minutes to try to buy something as I kept getting spotted by the baddies! And again we have to find ridiculous things like pressed flowers?? Why would Jacob Frye want books of pressed flowers? That's worse than feathers or flags!!

    The city of London - the buildings and people are fantastic - but no one seems to care that you're going in their houses and opening chests or climbing walls right in front of them. No funny comments like in AC2. Only thing I really like is using the enviroment to kill baddies - like dropping barrels on them, boxes of dynamite, etc. And driving carriages.

    All in all, so far it's a disappointment but it's playable and I will finish it, at least until I get to Westminster.    … Expand

    This is a big disappointment for an AC game. Clunky movement and combat, slow pace, and even worse acting, writing, and accents than usual. I really hope they get focused and return to the quality they had during Ezio's time.

    In my opinion there are too much AC games in the last years, and that's why these games are not enough good. There are no huge improvement in graphics, physics and mechanics. Always is the same but in different city.

This is an underdeveloped game in a lot of ways. The storyline, characters and missions are basically at Alpha stage of development with big disconnections spoiling the whole experience.     It's not the worst game ever made. It's just mediocre. I have played every Assassin's creed and honestly Black Flag was the last one I enjoyed. I feel like part of the lure was the present day story, which pretty much stopped after AC3 and was non-existent in Unity. Pretty much the same in Syndicate. Not only that but Syndicate feels like playing Unity without the horrible frame-rate, itIt's not the worst game ever made. It's just mediocre.     This game has a good historical events, that unite great names of history, like Winston Churchill, Graham Bell, Darwin and a lot of others, but my impression that is the    Assassin's Creed Syndicate is a great game after all.     This is the second AC game I've played through to completion, and unfortunately it has not lived up to the heights of Black Flag. I have little interest in the series unless the setting excites me, and as with the "pirate" theme of AC IV, I was eager to explore the streets of Victorian London. Had they not included the option to play through the game as Evie I don't believe I would have been able to finish this installment, as Jacob is as boring and cliche as they come. Where this game saves some face is in the presentation of the setting. The visuals are stunning, and the locations spectacular. The World War 1 side mission was enjoyable for as long as it lasted, and was certainly the highlight of this game. However, my main gripe with this game is in the mechanics. New mechanics introduced to the game all worked as expected, but the core mechanic, the parkour the series is marketed on, seems to be devolving rather than evolving from game to game. Animations are buggy and interaction with the environment is terribly mapped. The movement which should feel fluid and fast instead feels awkward and unnatural. Ultimately the grandeur of the game's setting, and avoiding a repeat of the disaster that was unity saved this game from a dismal score. With Black Flag I was eager to play the game every chance I got, and once I completed it I longed for more. With Syndicate my only motivation to complete the game was for the relatively easy Plat trophy. Once that goal was met, I was happy to put the game away and never play it again.… Expand

    Great improvement from previous game unity, which was just a real bummer, as you would have to actually pay to be able to do anything, this game however was a classic assasin's creed game, nothing spectacular, but better than the previous one.

    I'd have to say that this is definitely a big step up from Unity. When I say that though, that's mainly in terms of glitches. The story is still relatively predictable and offers no really significant revolution in the franchise. There are a few nifty introductions which manage to retain their novelty for the first few hours post-discovery, however overall, the game is still not quite whatI'd have to say that this is definitely a big step up from Unity.     A good and fun game. It has its flaws, but that doesn't ruin the game. The story was a little dry, but i still think it was good, and Jacob and Evie are great characters. The game has a lot of side missions and you can play it for many hours.

    AC Syndicate is decent. It has great graphics and sounds as we've come to expect from an AC title. The setting is also intriguing, industrial London and witty banter by some quality voice acting. But that's where the plaudits stop for me.

    The combat system is a little different from AC Unity, a little more refined, but still feels clumsy at times as you strong combos together and    AC Syndicate is decent.     My other vice is that there's nothing really new in terms of missions. It's the same formula that's been done a number of times already in prior AC titles and the story is unfortunately not engaging at all.

    It captures the bustling industrial era atmosphere well, and with a number of side quests and items to collect for crafting there's definitely a lot of content, unfortunately it just feels repetitive.

    If you're a die hard AC fan, you will enjoy the game. As it does what the previous AC games have and does it well. But if you're looking for something compelling or novel, Syndicate isn't it. The title is need of a breath of fresh air.    … Expand

    The game is more polished, stable and solid than it's predecessor and features a cast of like-able, charismatic characters. The city of London is nicely designed too. It's not as detailed as the streets of Paris and is lacking in interiors, but it is    Assassin's Creed Syndicate is not quite the return to form for the long running franchise after the ambitious, yet deeply flawed Unity.

    The game is more polished, stable and solid than it's predecessor and features a cast of like-able, charismatic characters. The city of London is nicely designed too. It's not as detailed as the streets of Paris and is lacking in interiors, but it is still a commendable effort from the team. The return of a dynamic day and night system is another pleasure to have in this game, which drastically improves the atmosphere of London.

    But on the gameplay side of things is where things get a bit shaky. The series is still struggling to reinvent itself. Combat, while faster and more responsive, is still the same ol' "mash the attack button, while you get barely any positive feedback from your attacks" style combat. Mission structures and designs are the same. The only thing that is different is the grappling hook. It boosts the traveling speed quite a bit a la Batman, but I cannot help to feel that it goes against the core principles of the AC parkour gameplay, which (the Parkour) still needs a level of polish that's has been missing since Black Flag.

    And the story, well...... it's Assassin's Creed. The interactions between the characters, both fictional and non-fictional, is a lot more interesting than the "plot". It's kind of there, but it lacks the power to keep the players engaged and things just happen because they have to.

    Don't get me wrong, Assassin's Creed Syndicate is still a fun game to mess around with that will definitely give you some hours of fun. But I just cannot shake the "been there, done that" feeling I had when playing this game.    … Expand

    I felt very disapointed after the final level. The main villain was so typical. Main characters, twin assassins, are really cant be considered as assassins!!1 They joke all the time!! How does it suppose to help the gamer to believe that that their story matters.

    1. The controls are quite temperamental, in particular the climbing mechanics. You will at several points find yourself climbing the wrong wall, moving the wrong way or struggling to move at all. This is something that's always been a problem though throughout the series.
    2. The controls have been altered slightly, you need to hold r2 and O when you want to move forward and down and r2 and X when you want to move forward and up. This took quite a lot of getting used to.
    3. Graphically this game seems to be a step down. Unity blew me away with its visuals but this game is less detailed and environments lack character.
    4. The city is London this time and that means more grey skys, brown buildings and lots of chimneys. Personally the setting doesn't compare to Paris or The Caribbean.
    5. The new grappling hook isn't user friendly. It's not clear where and when it can be activated. It's also very slow. Developers have spaced buildings further apart and made them less easy to climb as well so you're forced to rely on it.
    6. Missions require much less stealth this time around. Unity was more required a greater deal of thought in its missions in my opinion.
    7. The story is quite dull, this is particularly true of the villain who just tries very hard to come across as psychotic.
    8. The combat isn't aging well. The counters, break defenses and repetitive attack animations make it feel quite dull. Other games like Batman and Shadow of Mordor are simply much better at climbing, combat, grappling and level design.
    9. It can be buggy at times. Some bugs prevented the completion of missions which was very annoying.
    10. The load times are crazy long. This make dieing incredibly frustrating.

    Pros +

    1. It's quite fun and there's a lot of content
    2. There's almost zero eavesdropping missions this time which is nice.
    3. The story is dull but the good thing is that the modern day storyline which has been consistently awful is very much in the background this time.
    4. The introduction of carriages is quite fun. Ramming others off the road and zipping around the city is a nice touch.
    5. The skill tree and ability to develop two characters in different areas (strength or stealth) worked well.

    So, overall it's not a bad game and i enjoyed it but there are better games. The series really needs to improve its gameplay because it is falling behind. It's worth playing but only if you can get it really cheap (like 10 dollars) or don't have anything else to play.    … Expand

    El combate no me gusta en absotuto: poca variedad de armas, pocas animaciones, IA penosa que se turna como nunca antes, es un machacabotones donde no hace falta nada de habilidad para despejarte un barrio tu solo.

    El gancho es un plagio total a los Arkham y me parece una decisión desacertada para esta saga ya que inhibe el sistema de niveles del parkour.

    El juego tiene diversas actividades pero la mayor parte de ellas son muy aburridas a la par que repetitivas pero si hay que decir que hay algunas misiones secundarias interesantes como la investigación de crímenes, las misiones de Karl Marx...
    La conducción es muy tosca y el sistema de colisiones y físicas en los carruajes es absurdo.

    I just recently finished Syndicate and breathed a huge sigh of relief. Not because it felt good to finish but because it was finally over. If someone were to ask me how the story went I could honestly only remember right at the end when Queen Victoria knighted the main protagonists and that’s it.     At this point its been like 4 or 5 years since i finished it, it s just pretty generic ac game, repetitive side missions with no depht to them. The combat feels like a cheap replica of the arkham games. But the parkour can still be really cool, and some missions as well

    The idea is Jacob has slightly better for combat, hereas Evie has better stealth skills. However these are some of the last skills you get, so until that point there's no difference. Additionally from about level 7 combat is far easier for both due to the execute and mutilate skills for both, as well as more powerful weapons and better player health. So again aside from evie's invisibility I didn't notice a difference.

    The game would've been more coherent with Evie oly, and honestly her abilities outweigh Jacob's.
    Speaking of which, it's clear that Evie is modeled after and a reference to Eva Green. Looking at Victoria Atkin (Evie's model) it's clear there's little resemblance, but strong resemblance of Eva, also plot advancements further solidify the link to Evie Green.
    I'm unsure why Eva. Perhaps they thought Eva was English (she's French). So it seems an odd actress to choose.

    Unlike other assassins creed games, the present-day/Asbergo is mostly ignored and tacked-on. Aside from a very brief mention of it at the start, a single moment where you're pulled out for about 60 seconds, and a very awkward ending, you forget it even exists. The only dna/timeline-related plot going on is separate from Evie and Jacob, which I think is bad design.

    One big change this time around is that enemies now have levels - signified by the floating numbers on them. This means you need to level up your weapons and character to have a hope in hell of surviving combat. This feels like the only reason to bother roaming the city. If you don't level up you will die because they are very difficult to beat, especially in groups.

    AC: Syndicate has much more of a focus on "leveling up" and the arbritrary reason to "level up" is enemies all have levels, despite all the characters looking identical.
    It's very difficult to defeat (or survive) enemies due to how hard combat is now.
    This is much more tedious, not only is it a lot harder and much faster paced. But as enemies have levels, you must level up fast to have any chance of taking on a group.
    You can no longer just attack and counter with the traditionally large counter windows, but now combat has combos, you must also execute finishers with triangle, and also counter gunfire with triangle all whilst breaking defenses with x in a much more frequent basis than previous games. Timing windows for counters are incredibly low, by default almost non-existent, so upgrading the perk for a larger windows is a must. Plus health is very low in AC, it takes a lot of leveling up to get health to a bearable level.

    This makes the game very grindy, you have to grind up the level to have any chance of winning fights in crowds, and without the darts and a de-emphasis on stealth, it means brawling is very important in this game (hence the changes in mechanics).

    Speaking of grindy, Syndicate has an E-store to buy game currency or resources with helix credits, which are found with a lot of grinding, or bought with real currency. the in-game menus even equate credits to how many hours of grinding you'll save. This made me want to quit playing more than any Assassins Creed game I've played.

    Missions aren't fun: in AD:S I found no missions actually fun, there's a ton of investigation type missions and they're far less enjoyable than before. it seems ubisoft decided to make investigations a big part of syndicate due ad they're worse than in Unity. Another common mission type is "kidnapping" enemies. Which is very dull. Find an enemy in a stronghold, then grab them and run back to a point with them. You can throw them in a carriage to transport them faster. Either way you'll be fighting enemies or crashing enemy carriages. It gets old quick.

    I'm glad Syndicate brought back the rope launcher/zipline tool, which is the first time since Revelations. Initially I thought this was a cheap idea copy but as London rooftops vary in height so much, I ended up using a lot, so appreciated its inclusion.

    Death sequences are more jarring now.
    Subtitles are tiny! With no option to change size. Music bland.

    Game completely froze and locked up many times. Also due to an unfixed bug I cannnot complete the vault. There's many reports of it online.

    I had low hopes due to how poorly the story was told throughout but the ending is just shockingly terrible. Story-wise and execution-wise.    … Expand

    I know that developers get used to their engine and it's easier for them to developed games, but that 8-years old engine with some minor improvements looks outdated. This tendency to use the old engine for years saddens me the most. It's not the ubisoft-only problem, for example 16-years old quake 3 engine in call of duty series and gamebryo engine used by bethesda for 9 years!     I have to say, the graphics are poor quality and can be very ugly at times, the gameplay is the same as every other AC but with a new free running emphasis that is at best fiddly and uncomfortable to use, all in all it is distinctly mediocre if not very disappointing

    A bit better than Unity; Still too many characters with their own story (Marx? Darwin? Why do we need them?). Dialogs are idiotic, or main characters are idiots - agree to do things before they understand what they are doing and why. Why I think so: I compare it to Ezio's series. Why Ezio's games were the best? Because you lived the story of Ezio yourself. Now you just do parkour.

However, my experience in London was ruined by the problematic parkour, the boring side-activities that are very repetitive and most fill no purpose other then improving your characters,

    The story is ok, better then Unity's but not by much. It's ultimately cliche and never really evolves beyond taking London from the Templars. You play as Evie and Jacob Frye, twins, brother and sister; I was very disappointed at the very little difference between the two of them in terms of combat, skills and animations. Seeing as Jacob is more of a brawler, I was expecting his skills to be more focused on fighting, while Evie's to be more focused on stealth, but they both have the exact same skills, just separately.

    As for their characters, they are fine; certainly better than the main characters from Unity. Jacob is more of a punk though not in a fun kind of way, more in a irritating kind of way; Evie is the more interesting of the two, though it also seems like they try too hard to make her seem 'cool'. The banter between them can range from entertaining to making your eyes roll; the dialog in Syndicate is inconsistant, despite the fact that they are well voice acted. However, you never really grow to care about them like you did with previous protagonists like Ezio, Edward and Shay. The rest of the characters in the game are forgettable, with a cliche psyhopatic villain that never feels like he pushes the two main protagonists to their limits.

    The combat is bad, clearly derived from the Arkham series but poorly made; it's basically mashing a bottom to attack, one to counter, and one to break defense, with none of the variation combos like in the Arkham games. Not to mention that animations for the characters are horrible and it feels like they don't hold any weight. You have a choice between three different weapons which pretty much end up feeling the same. Although I will admit that the leveling up in the game is quite satisfying.

    The present returns though it makes me wonder why; it adds nothing to the AC lore and is merely there to tell you to 'keep playing'. It's as if the developers knew that the game was going to be average and thought to remind you that you need to make the most out of the value of your purchase. It makes me wonder why do they even bother to include it anymore.

    Overall, Ubisoft's annual release is starting to take its toll on the series. Very little innovation, glitches and bugs, repetitive and boring side-missions, weak main missions, bad combat, uninteresting characters all amounted to make my experience in London quite shallow, despite it's beauty from a graphical point of view.    … Expand

Let the player be clever, add some emergent gameplay and good assassinations missions (in the Hitman style). Stop with all those on-screen indications as it totally breaks the immersion. Let us find the solutions by ourselves. Give us more freedom and opportunities : as I said, let us be clever. The main characters are not bad at all, but the only thing Syndicate has better than Unity is the shining buildings and the bigger map, everything else is the same or even worse... And the plot... God the plot... Helping the queen? I thought it was the other way around, but no... the same "killing templars" plot, at least they could have added the "templars are not that bad" concept that Unity incorporated and that made Rogue my favorite game after AC II... but no, not even that...
    I just give this a 5 because the gameplay is "funny" (even when the "God of War" smashing mechanism), but not better than the gameplay of Unity....
    If the next AC game doesn't incorporate something new to the series, then this will be my last time playing a new AC game...    … Expand

After the failure of Unity from Syndicate, I did not expect much. Good optimization at the start, apparently due to the fact that the drawing of London is not more than 10 meters due to fog. Gameplay can be called sterile, if in Unity many simplifications said goodbye to the transition to a new stage in the development of the series, then in Syndicate there is nothing new. Sound is also not the best, these compositions with a violin are fed up with 5 hour of play. Assassin's Creed Syndicate is a completely passing game on which you should not waste time. Can only be recommended if you are a Victorian fan.… Expand

    A boring and bland game. I wasn't able to even complete the story of this game, I only got half way through. Graphics are nice and I love the location but everything else is just a bore to me. I wouldn't recommend this to be your first Assassin's Creed to play

    I have only one possitive thing to say about this game: great attention and work has been put to recreate the victorian London. They created an amazing map, and you feel like you are transported to the period from the first moment you arrive to London.
    Its a shame that everything that happens on it is so plain boring. The two main characters are fine, not great, but fine. The problem comes with the rest of characters: you will never care about your allies, and you are never going to hate your enemies, and thats because they are so underdeveloped. There is no motivation to advance through the story, there is no motivation for you to hunt your enemies. Missions are simple and repetitive. Assassination sequences are better than normal ones, and better than in previous games, but as i said, you have no motivation to do them and barely even know who you have to kill. Secondary missions are terrible, and the enormous amount of collectibles are there just to distract you about the lack of quality of the rest of the missions. Ubisoft model of games (capture of bases, hundreds of chests around the map, hundreds of collectible items, etc) is just boring and repetitive. Overall, its just a empty game, with a lots of missions that consist on the same objectives again and again. Combat is really easy and fast, terribly worse than Unity (which is a millions time better than this one in every aspect, to be honest). Also, the modern times part of the game is just terrible and consists only in a few cinematics, nothing more. I miss Desmond....

    So my reccomendation is:
    -if you love London and the Victorian period, play this game only for the recreation of the city.
    -If you are a AC fan, you can skip this, because there is not much going on with this game in terms of story and lore. It repeats much of the info we already got in previous games.
    -If you are just looking for a game with a good story or characters, then this is not the game for you.
    -I can only recommend this if you are looking for a game that allows you to disconnect from reality and play in a very, VERY, casual way. The only reason i ended this game, is because i was watching youtube or listening to music while playing it. You dont need to pay attention to it, its that easy and uninteresting.

    So, basically, its hard to recommend this to anyone. Its just uninteresting. Its not bad, its not terrible, its just playable, but really boring for most of the time. The combat gets old really quickly (and is easy af), quests are simple and repetitive, the characters are boring and the story is about nothing. Thats AC Syndicate for you.    … Expand

Many of the extra requirements for missions are very unclear leading to lot's of failures because you just don't know what is expected, so often times you spend vast amount of time to complete the first extra requirement only to take one mistep with the other and you lose all the extra rewards. Last fight is really a blooper, worst in the series. And the biggest crime is that in the end all the trouble you wenth through was for nothing.… Expand

    - сюжет, лучше бы его просто не было, в том виде что он есть - это какое-то издевательство
    - половину сюжета как будто вырезали, не знаю так ли это, но так ощущается
    - тупой ИИ, который не видит тебя в упор и не слышит как ты в 50см убиваешь кого-то
    - вытекающий из прошлого пункта: стелс очень убогий и не интересный
    - боевка еще хуже, все сводится к нажатию на 1 кнопку, иногда на другую
    - ограничение по уровню: обычный враг с цифоркой над головой больше чем у тебя, почему-то тебя ваншотает (почему? это раздражает)
    - древо улучшений и исследований впечатляюще большое, и впечатляюще бессмысленное. 80% этих улучшений никак не влияют на геймплей, их можно было бы убрать и ничего не изменилось бы
    - игра слишком перегружена однотипным и тупым контентом: форпосты, синхронизации, сундуки, сбор картинок, сбор бутылок, сбор цветочков, сбор записок, сбор чего-то еще...
    - опять убогая SJW повестка. Мужчины представлены нелепо, либо слабы, либо тупы и от них одни проблемы. Женщины - напротив: умны, ответственный, сильны, решают любые проблемы и всегда в лучшем свете. Надоело, зачем пропаганду пихать в игры?    … Expand

    Play this if you enjoy the rest of the Assassin's Creed series. Graphically the game is very nice but the story is forgettable and the only gameplay difference from previous games is the grappling hook and some gang related functions.

    There is nothing good about this except the setting, at least for me. When walking around gets boring, it´s very unfun to do just about everything. The setting is my favorite in any AC game, I loved to get to be there, a shame it was wasted by this game... and this franchise.

    As for the gameplay, Syndicate feels different from other AC games to the point that it doesn't really feel like an AC game. At best, it feels like a watered down, barebones version of AC. There's almost no customization for weapons or outfits. The gameworld feels empty and there's not much to do. The changes they've made to the map and missions make it confusing to understand where your next objective is or what missions are available to you. This is partly due to the level system they've implemented in this game. Basically, they've managed to overcomplicate certain aspects of the game while simultaneously watering down the game in other, more important aspects.

Consider Fallout 3 was 7 years ago now, that is why the world is eager to embrace FO4 in a few weeks, and why this just feels weak and like a re-branding of Unity.

    Personally, I'd like Ubisoft to go away and take a long hard look at what they haven't achieved and recognise that a franchise doesn't need an annual release to keep fresh in the buyers minds, it needs to be inspirational and enjoyable. After Black Flag, I would of happily awaited years for the next release and for the next one to blow me away - but instead we get Syndicate.    … Expand

And although I did not hate Unity as much as most die hard Assassin's fans, it was not good enough to keep me playing. I am afraid Syndicate is much the same. Don't get me wrong, it is in my opinion a step forward from Unity, it is still the same old terrible climbing mechanics mixed with lookout posts, and following mini maps. I did however like the fact that you can choose at any time to play as either Jacob or Evie Fry. The chemistry between the brother and sister is extremely refreshing after years of being a lonely assassin. Jacob is your stereotypical shoot first ask questions later hero, and Evie fits the original stealthy assassin that is used in the other Creed games. The setting is Victorian London during the industrial revolution where gangs, corrupt officials, sweat shop employers and of coarse Templars roam. Our two heroes are tasked with taking back london from the templars and give it back to the people. As much as syndicate is a step in the right direction from Unity it still suffers the same setbacks as the rest, (Long time AC fans know what I mean). All in all if you played any of the first 3 or 4 AC games, honestly you could probably say you played syndicate as well. I dont know how they do it. By that I mean release the same game over and over again in different settings and get thousands of other gamers and I to buy it every year. Longer story shorter, if you like the others you will like this one. If you are like me and have been tired of playing the same mindless mini map follower, then trust me try something else.… Expand

As many other reviewers have remarked, the glitches are just as apparent and unacceptable as they were in Unity. I am unsure as to what is going on in the present gaming world, but why does it seem that so many PS3/Xbox 360 games are/were performing better/more efficiently than the games being released on these supposedly "markedly improved next generation" systems (I have both systems so I compare them regularly)? The glitches and attention to detail on these games are lacking immensely. To many I am sure my complaints will seem petty but I am sure that others will agree that these issues detract from the fun and realistic nature of the game.

    For my starting point, I cannot stand in this game that your character seems to almost constantly meld with/pass through their enemies with whom they are engaged in combat. Often fatal strikes that would have been landed are lost to the software universe and no damage is inflicted on your assailant. Depending on the game this can sometimes mean the difference between success and having to restart a campaign or mission. I have also encountered on numerous occasions what can only be described as "falling into a black-hole or out of the world with no chance of escape" other than by dying or restarting the game.

    Another component I take issue with is the lack of effect your character seems to have on the environment. By this I mean that it appears your character is almost weightless and can navigate an environment as if they were a ghost. How is it that when one is free running across chains or beams suspended by only one rope, the chains don't even bend a little or the balance of the beam isn't affected at all? I mean even in AC4 Black Flag on PS3 the ropes that the lead character would cross on ships would at least bow in relation to his weight and position in space. A random point I might add is are you really going to punch a train car handle three times to activate the release? Is it really that hard to just program the character to look as if they are struggling to raise a lever? Also there is little to no interaction from civilians/observers. These elements are trivial to many and may require far more data to actually incorporate into a game but important to me because it shows the developers actually took time to focus on the little details to really make a game stand out (for example games like Heavy Rain incorporating facial hair growth on lead male characters and baggy/blood shot eyes to display weariness/fatigue/heightened stress; Until Dawn displaying foot print paths in the snow showing exactly where your character has been; State of Decay incorporating fatigue when fighting/fleeing, scavenging for survival and being susceptible to disease/pestilence; Hitman series where if civilians observe you with a weapon they run to notify authorities). Small details but they truly add to the experience of making it real to life, more challenging, and they dramatically increase its repeat play-value in many consumers minds.

    AC4 did provide many of these details and on a "less developed gaming system" at that! Not to mention AC4 took the best parts of AC2 and AC3 and combined them into one great game (the hunting, ship sailing, village construction and trade, alternate story lines/missions, side quests, etc.). AC Syndicate fails as miserably at these concepts as AC Unity did. Yes in AC Syndicate they add the element of fighting on moving trains and carriages but in all actuality who really cares if that and a few added combo moves are all the new features the developers really incorporated? Those attributes are more like new DLC to be purchased and added to an existing game. It is not worth charging full price and claiming it to be an entirely new experience in of itself. As one user remarked, I expect this game will be in the "marked down/discount bins" soon enough. If you absolutely must test it out I encourage you to do so but I would be patient and wait until it gets to that discounted price. I am sad to see the gaming industry heading this way and even more disheartened that we can't even count on honest professional reviews any longer as almost everything in present society has moved to money changing hands in exchange for praise and positive press. Of course maybe I am naive and it has always been like this in some form or another but I can say that I am glad that there are many reviews that can be counted on in my experience. Those reviews are the eloquent, intelligent, and sensible reviews of the real gamers and consumers.    … Expand

    I really love Assassin's creed. I see much potential in it. I like so much ezio trilogy and kenway saga has very good story as well. Ac lore is excellent but if anyone says syndicate is good game then do not talk about game to him. He probably dont understand about games or maybe he may be ubisoft influencer.

    Big downgrade from AC Unity. Sindicate has the worst climbing and parkour mechanics from all of AC games. Forgettable story,dull characters. The controls feel clunky and quite often i got frustrated because of that. AC Unity was very good, but this is tottaly opposite for me.

    At first I was happily surprised with the beautiful graphics of the city of London. The nice and fluid movements of our two protagonists. The way they run, climb, jump and fight was a delight to witness.
    But Alas. The Missions are so boring and too easy. The story makes no sense. And I didn't feel anything for the characters which have no depth at all. Jacob Frye is super annoying with all his fresh remarks, so I constantly switched over to play as Evie. Unfortunately I was forced to play Jacobs character in a lot of missions. The music is way to jolly/happy for a game that bears the word Assassin in it's title.
    There are so many collectibles that it's ridiculous. Visually the cutscenes are poorly done.
    The only thing I enjoy is free roaming in the open world, climbing and swinging from rooftop to rooftop. And that is simply not enough for a game.
    I was hoping for a dark stealth game experience. But instead I played a clean-cut mainstream kids game with absolutely no challenges. I've played around 15 hours of the game. And I simply have no interest in finishing the game, even though I paid 50 euro for it.    … Expand

    What has happened here ? I have played all the A.C. games and some of them are great, most notably Black Flag and AC 3.
    This game is a huge step backward. The story is extremely lame, gameplay is very repetitive and the environment is ugly and unpleasant.     This game is a huge step backward. The story is extremely lame, gameplay is very repetitive and the environment is ugly and unpleasant. Whilst the developers have made a reasonable job at recreating Victorian London, you just don't want to spend anytime there due to its ugliness and early industrial setting.
    Combat is another issue. It seems to be designed for an 8 year old button basher and quickly gets tiring.
    The main character of Jacob is an absolute moron but his twin Evie is a slightly more interesting prospect.
    Ubisoft seems to be slipping back into old ways of releasing unfinished and ill thought out games with little imagination and flair.
    Avoid this game. It's as huge disappointment compared to Black Flag and AC3.

Also, I was under the impression that this was the last ‘good’ game of the series before they started messing with the canon story and rewriting everything in Origins. But wow, what can be said about this game? But wow, what can be said about this game? If you loved the Assassin’s Creed series prior to Unity stay away from this game. I really can’t say much good about it.

    The story is nonsensical and barely existent; it’s paper thin. You start as the Frye twins; Jacob and Evie outside London. They each have an intro mission which are strong ones, putting you in a good mood and believing things have been fixed since Unity. Little do you realize upon reflection later that these missions have nothing to do with the rest of the story. They then run off to London under the demented belief that they are so good at being assassins they can fix the city on their own. You’re introduced to a London assassin named Henry Green who has to be the most useless assassin and hollow character I’ve ever come across. He literally does nothing, he isn’t like a mentor to the Fryes, he doesn’t assist you and out of left field they try and set up some half-baked romance between him and Evie. What???

    I started out the game thinking Jacob was a big goofball who couldn’t take anything seriously and was kinda annoying because of these things. But I ended up playing about 80% of the game as him because he grew on me and, unlike Evie, he GOT THINGS DONE! (Which he even ends up calling out Evie on later in the game, bless him) He was out on the streets setting up his gang (which could have been way more intricate, it was pretty useless) and actually taking out the Templar network in London. Meanwhile, Evie is preaching about the Shroud (a piece of Eden that supposedly the Templars are after but you never see anything about) and making googoo eyes at Henry. Oh and she likes to emphasis that she’s ‘cleaning up Jacob’s messes’, yeah okay.

    One of my biggest problems is that they advertised this game as having two characters; they start you out by saying Jacob is more combat-based while Evie is more stealth-based, but except for about 3 skills each at the bottom, they have the EXACT same skill tree!!!! What the heck? I tried my hardest to invest in certain skills so playing as the two felt different but man was it difficult especially once I completed the tree by Sequence 7 (of 9). But speaking of, a skill tree in an Assassin’s Creed game? Everything that became full-fledged in Origins onwards started here. A skill tree meant levels which meant enemy levels, levels that hovered above their heads. Levels that when going into certain restricted zones told me I’d be better off leveling up before attempting these things. Seriously? I think that’s my decision! Speaking of combat, this game; a game about assassinations (It is called ASSASSIN’S creed) and sneaking, does not want you to be stealthy or do sneak assassinations AT ALL!! Everything in this game is centered around trying to shoehorn you into blasting your way through the front door guns ablazing, murdering every soul in sight (including cops!! They have you murder the law enforcement in droves) This would be fine if they were working for the Templars, which they’re not. Because in this game, the Templars are not in any positions of power; they haven’t integrated themselves in the law, they’re not friends with the queen, they don’t know bankers. There’s NOTHING!!

    At the end of the day, I do not recommend this game at all. Do not even get it on sale. You will finish it and wonder what you just got from the game. Play the earlier Assassin’s Creed games and save yourself a headache. You’ll have a lot more fun and find yourself invested in those games. End the series by playing AC Rogue.    … Expand

I've also played every single AC game besides Unity (it had 11-foot pole marks all over it), and whichever one had the Native American in it (couldn't finish it - also aggravating).     Want to knock someone out beside a body? Nope. Start picking    After 30 years, I've rarely found a game so **** aggravating as Assassin's Creed Syndicate. I've also played every single AC game besides Unity (it had 11-foot pole marks all over it), and whichever one had the Native American in it (couldn't finish it - also aggravating). For Syndicate, the controls are an absolute nightmare.

    Want to knock someone out beside a body? Nope. Start picking up the body in a long animation that can't be canceled, then spend the next 10 minutes chasing the NPC down in a carriage because they got away.

    Want to climb THAT building? Nope. Fire your hook at the one completely behind you instead.

    Want to assassinate THAT NPC standing on a ledge? Nope. Glitch out the NPC so that you both fall to the ground, surrounded by enemies.

    Now with microtransactions for exp boosts and unique items! The cities get smaller, the content gets more chopped up, quality declines, and the price goes up. Ubisoft used to be a game company I was thrilled to see when Jade Raymond was showing off dev diaries back in 2007. The apple has fallen very far from the tree.    … Expand

    I got this game for free and still feel every moment is wasted with this game.

    AI is horrible, control is horrible, map and setting is okay but the story is horrible again...

    It's utterly immersion breaking. The AI enemy can block a sword strike by raising their elbows into a boxing stance. I tried to give Ubisoft a chance but they've shown time and time again that they are unwilling to do anything with this stale, repetitive and stagnant formula.

    Anyone who praises this game is an utter zombie, perfectly happy to do the same thing over and again like an insane madman. Do NOT buy this game.

    Ubisoft need to learn that more is required each year than a copy and paste job with a new city. Any new feautures are utterly superficial when the fundamental combat is broken.    … Expand

    So Ubisoft: we all know you can make a beautiful city, now start to make some good story missions,

    Played all AC games - still think Black Flag was the best...though it probably didn't had much AC in it. But the perfect pirate adventure! Lots of weird glitches too.

    On the plus side, I like that going back to actual time, it is now just cutscenes - especially after last years extremely uninteresting first person gaming.

    Again - Take a good long break from AC Ubisoft....you're killing it with every year productions!    … Expand

I give you the review for Assassin's Creed 1, because, like ALL Assassin's Creed since, they're all pretty much identical. The last, best Assassins Creed was AC: Brotherhood/Revelations. After that, it just wasn't worth keeping up with.

    Another Assassin’s Creed game that you can either buy or ignore sight unseen depending on whether you grew tired of the old formula. Some innovations (e.g. the grappling hook) are a welcome addition, some (like two playable characters and their development system) feel forced and not really thought through. The brightest aspect of Syndicate is London, which might be the most spectacular city in the series. [13/2015, p.42]
