    - There are more exclusive character missions than I had thought, making 2 playable character interesting.
    - There are still a handful of missions that are great, especially the ones you do to conquer a borough
    - Interesting and fun new concept for the series
    - Great graphics
    Cons:
    - Too buggy, despite being solid, it is way more buggy than any other game. Honestly, I never had problems with Unity, so it feels buggier than Unity.
    - The gameplay of the different characters still feel exactly the same.
    - MANY HORRIBLE MISSIONS.
    - Graphics are downgraded from Unity

Notable: I removed some cons because I realized they weren't too bad, but just kind of boring. This might sound like 7 or 8, but in the end, the graphics are still amazing, the missions are more enjoyable than not, the game is still not very buggy and I don't really care about the stealth vs head-on fight concept (2 character).

Recomendo demais.

Syndicate is definitely one of the best Assassin Creed games yet. The two protagonist approach is really risky, but it worked out perfectly. The upgrade system is much better than Unity, and the decision of ditching multiplayer was a smart one. Great work, Ubisoft!!

I'm enjoying this game immensely. Somewhere since AC4(?), they lost the godlike counter button and combat became much better for the challenge it gives. Stealth is also much more challenging at least until you overcome the learning curve. Graphics are a step up from AC4 I think. All in all a better than average installment.

-better movements- jump ropes made this game really fast pace, you will be able to chase people
Going to roof with this baby, climbing up and down is slightly faster than previouse entries.
-perk systems and skill builds - they kinda added simple rpg style skill tree that seperates
Two characters (2different build but the difference is unknowticeable)

    Now for cons-
-graphic down grade. This dosnt mean graphic is shyit. Compare to todays standard its just average
Its acceptable. But ac always had beutifull graphic comepare to fellow other games, I enjoyed going
To high buildings and take a smoke break while I look at the beutiful atmosphere, but syndicate england
Looks plain ugly with graphic down grade mixs with polluted city setting.
-terrible ending. Really? I was expecting unavoidable conflict between two protagnist, due to their
Differnt personality and a heart breaking shocking choice which one had to kill the other
With some unexpectable twist. But syndicate went for classic fight together and win happy ending. Truely boring and one of the worst ending of all time.

If you liked previouse ac game you might like this.
But if you nvr liked ac so much or you kind grew bore to this repetetive game
Every year, chances are you probly wont enjoy that much.
There many changes but they are minors the basic game play is same as befor

It goes to show just how much a setting can affect a game.

I really lost interest in the series during Black Flag, as I've never been into Pirates and I didn't enjoy it at all, gave up half-way through. I skipped Unity - doesn't seem like I missed out - and decided to pick this one up because I've always been a fan of the look and feel of London. They captured it perfectly. I love

    They captured it perfectly.

I love the sights and setting, the sounds and atmosphere - it's all incredible. The gameplay is - mostly - smooth. The story goes along quickly, helped by the two protagonists chemistry together - and side quests with the likes of Charles Darwin. Voice acting and writing are top-notch.

Best of all though? It's actually fun to play. Something I couldn't say about Black Flag. I'm so happy I don't have to try and steer another boat and can instead smash into carts with horses.

Hi all. I made an account to wrote about my feelings about this game. I bought ps4 with AC:Syndicate without reading any reviews or opinions about this game before, so Ive got kinda clear head.
I played AC 1, 2, Brotherhood, Revelations and a bit in 3 and Black Flag. I finished only 2 and Brotherhood, because every other AC feels too much similar to other and was making me very bored.

So I started to play AC:S, nice cinematics (but its not so important detail), amazing graphic, very nice music (but not so good as 2), absolutely incredibly city and very nice twins to play. Yes, very characteric twins, which is very good move. I finished like 50% of the game by playing it all the time and Ive gotta say its best AC to me after AC2. Absolutely fantastic Assassin's Creed game. The stealth feels far more precise then in previous years thanks to the addition of sneak mode which puts your character in a constant crouch when not running, climbing, looting, etc. I don't find my character getting stuck to walls and leaving walls when I don't want him/her to nearly as often. The tools they provide you with for stealth make playing the game that way much more doable, eagle vision is much better and very useful, throwing knives are very effective, the grapple gun is a god send for quick getaways, and the hidden blade is as useful as ever.

The combat is far faster paced and also much more challenging. When fighting a large group it requires intense focus to fend off multiple enemy attacks, especially when fighting higher difficulty enemies. While attacking an enemy one must be constantly watching for counters, new enemy attacks, and gun shots. Leveling up one's fighting skills and gear is absolutely essential.

The two protagonists are very likable characters. Their banter is both witty and at times deep. A good story that's let down by a poor ending.

Also worth nothing is that the game runs very well and looks great! I only had frame rate drops at especially high synchronization points.

All these people with negative reviews, question is: have they actually play the game, I'm playing it now and i'm enjoying it a lot, I'm not saying its not with out its flaws but its much better than what Unity was, it feels fresh, a new experience, the game is actually telling a story, instead of random events, and a incoherent story. Instead of bashing the game actually take time and play it.

I've just completed the game and I have to say that I was very impressed with it. Unity was such a disaster, but Syndicate was just the opposite. London is an amazing place to run around and wreak havoc. I was afraid that additions such as the rope launcher and carriages would take away from the game, but I'm happy to say that they didn't and were very fun to use. I was afraid that additions such as the rope launcher and carriages would take away from the game, but I'm happy to say that they didn't and were very fun to use. Our assassins this time are Jacob and Evie Frye, twins. The twins have the same charisma that Ezio had are extremely likeable. I daresay they are the best we've gotten since Ezio.

The story isn't the greatest, but it's certainly not the worst. The game shines with the side quests. You can liberate children from factories, or go on a bounty hunt, or even raid trains. There is quite a bit of side missions here and they are very fun. My favorite were the Charles Dickens memories, as we were actually hunting for GHOSTS!

The Modern Day story is also back..... well kinda. It's similar to Unity, but much more in-depth and pushed the story a bit further. Which was excited to see as the Modern Day was in standstill mode for all of Black Flag and Unity. There are some old fan favorites returning as well as some new characters appearing. I am also very excited to see more of a certain assassin that shows up in this game in future installments.

Overall if you are a fan of Assassin's Creed and you were burned, like I was from Unity, I encourage you to pick this game up and give it a try. Who knows, it just might pull you back.

For those that don’t like that aspect of the AC lore, it delivers without pulling you out of the Animus in a way that some people didn’t like with others in the series such as AC2 and AC4. I am a big (and loyal) fan of this franchise - though I am not a fanboy. I do admit that the AC franchise is tired, filled with mistakes, hypeless, not hopeless, though. Ubisoft biggest mistake is to release a game every year. No matter how good they are, people just don't care anymore.

Which is a shame, because, let me tell you: Syndicate is an INCREDIBLE game and a true homage to what the game (and the series) once was: a historical experience, where you have a city as your playground, just like Ezio did, back in the day. There is no **** this time; no multiplayer nonsense, no companion APP. Just you, the city, its characters. And a great story to write as you traverse Victorian London's corners in search for its secrets.

And the additions to the tired formula are also fantastic. First a grappling-gun (like Batman's) that makes climbing (and killing) fast and sweet. And the 2 protagonists, the Frye twins, are a joy to play as. Jacob is a brawler, while Evie is a thinker and this combination of traits results in a lot of great moments, different (ish) gameplay styles and funny banter.

Sidenote: the game is stable, the missions are incredibly well designed and the game is not riddled with bugs, like Unity. To be honest, the ONLY weird thing I noticed - during more than 20 hours playing - was a guy riding an invisible carriage. And that was all.

I loved this game, from start to finish. And it did give me hope that Ubisoft at least is listening to its loyal fanbase. Forget your prejudices, try to forgive Ubi's recent mistakes and play this game!

This game is so much better than Unity it's incredible, the graphics are beautiful the world feels more alive and the UI is great, you even get to play a bit in WW1 and you even get a small open world in the WW1 setting that deserves much more attention than it's getting right now!

But there are a couple of bad things with this game, the characters are pretty annoying and the story is pretty boring most of the time especially during the modern day segments and you still can't choose to play as a Templar instead of an Assassin, there also seems to be an overtly anarchist/communist ideology pushed on me every 30 minutes which is getting very annoying but those are things you should expect from Ubisoft by now so overall better than Unity!

Jacob and Evie Frye are two of the most compeling assassin's the series have seen in a while. Gameplay wise, the game hasn`t envolved enough, only this time has been polished to a very solid state. I did not came across any bug or crash during my 60 hours of gameplay, and the framerate kept stable during 95% of my gaming sessions, and even when it dipped, it was barely noticeable.

Story is good, but nothing extraordinary, but this time it was presented on a more lighthearted way, and adding to that the music of Austin Wintory (Composser for Journey) surely gave this game a personality of its own, and sticks out among the series.

All being said, if you like Assassin's Creed, chances are you're going to like this game. But if you don't, i don`t see many things here that would make you think otherwise. But judging the game as its own separate entity, its good, entertaining, and beautiful to look at.

Not a fan of the new combat mechanic (it's quite chaotic and button mashing involved). I dislike the "gamification" of the gears and outfit. e.g. you are level 4, you find something awesome after risking your life getting it. Let's say a Cape. Then the bloody cape requires you to be level 6 to unlock. Weapons, gears and clothes should not have a level locking. It should be: if you can find it / get it, you can wear it, without limitation. You can still make the items level up independently (as you kill people, sneak, steal, etc. based on the item). I would have appreciated a greater choice of weaponry. The water looks quite bad (like 1990 water). The glitches to collect are useless. You could have found something else to justify doing acrobatics.

Mixed feeling: historical content. It's mainly gone. Previous AC games had a lot of historical content. This one as barely anything. It's a little bit good as sometimes it was too much. But, even I noticed its absence. That's bad. I had 2-3 minor glitches, but it did not compromised the gameplay (almost during a kidnapping where the GPS system went wrong - leading me to the kidnapping point instead of a delivery spot).

Good elements: The twins. Great way to balance the gameplay and making it gender equal. The skills tree could have been a tad more customised for each of them. The skills tree itself is well made with some decent features. Abstraction of the glowing, the city is wonderful. The core missions are interesting and varying. The horse/chariot riding is interesting. The combat animations are quite nice and full of gore. Justifying your game rating. The game is playable for several hours (but not really re-playable).

In direct comparison to Unity (in both my subjective and objective thoughts about it), that's not a difficult battle to win however.
First of all the characters are enjoyable, I can see how one might find Jacob irritable, but Evie is definitely a joy. One thing that seems quite small and yet left me smiling to myself was 'sneaking' for the sheer fact that it steps in the direction of having togglable hoods. There's a strange satisfaction of sneaking onto a blighters boat, sabotaging their goods and then hoping off and watching Jacob pull the hood down and put his hat back on like he's a normal bloke. Now, I'm also not one that cares about graphics but these are definitely the best I've seen for Assassins Creed. A section near the beginning of the game had me within an establishment climbing on industrial pipes and whatnot; The lighting that came through the windows was visually stunning to me (It was very reminiscent of the beautiful whimsical lighting in AC2) while I find London itself to have an appealing melancholy look to it.
Without dragging on; While I don't agree with the yearly churn-out of the franchise, this is a massive improvement and the most fun I've had playing Assassins Creed in a long time. If you don't have an estranged vendetta against Ubisoft then I recommend picking up the game. If you are of the group I mentioned however, I have a feeling you will try to dislike the game no matter what.

Now that I've completed the game, I can honestly say that this is the best AC so far in my opinion for number of reasons. Firstly, devs now finally realize that sandbox levels are the way to go with AC, and they have made the stealth mechanics fast paced and less frustrating from the previous games. You have number of methods to dispatch your enemy and all of the mechanics are cool. The setting is very immersive and possibly my favorite one in the series. The characters are all memorable and show wide range of emotions from the emotionally disturbed past protagonists. Finally, the game is just a blast - there are plenty of side missions and all are fun, and the story missions are all varied and offer player freedom. Syndicate is a step up from Unity but a step down from Blackflag. If you’re looking for a solid AC game with good mechanics and enjoyable characters this game may be for you. If you’re looking for a game with a deep plot or gameplay that mixes up the franchise you should probably skip this one.

I will start by stating that I am really enjoying this game. It’s a solid entry to the franchise that will give folks everything they have loved from the older AC games with a little more polish and far better graphics. Where AC bogs down is in its failure to bring anything new to the table.

Blackflag, by far one of my favorite games of all time, took the AC franchise and revolutionized it by adapting and building upon the preexisting mechanics to create something new and exciting. It tied these mechanics into the core of the gameplay to create a unique environment that was exciting and energetic. Syndicate fails at this, instead stagnating in old concepts and only adding in minor new mechanics that are mostly oriented around speeding up gameplay and fixing playability issues. Items like the hook shot, while fun and useful, are nothing more than an attempt to save players from spending hours scaling buildings that they just have to come back down. Something AC probably should have fixed long ago.
The characters in Syndicate are well rounded, unique, and have great report with one another. Unfortunately the detail put into the character development was not put into the plot which can be disjointed and jarring at times. It’s engaging enough to keep me playing but nothing to write home about. It appears that far more thought was put into the side missions then the main story line. I particularly enjoyed the Charles Dickens side quests which were great fun and changed up the atmosphere of the game.

I would recommend this game to anyone who enjoys a good old AC romp (Unity Excluded of course). It would also be a great starting point for anyone who has never played an AC game and likes open world exploration and unique games mechanics. I doubt it will appeal to folks who know AC and have gotten bored with it. They will be looking for something new and won’t find it here.

Most people when expecting much of Syndicate, some even feel that its going to be a buggy terrible mess after Unity, waiting to gloat at the failure of Assassin's Creed. But it turns out Syndicate is quite good.

On day one Assassin's Creed Syndicate ran at a smooth 30fps with very minimal frame-rate drops, no bugs or crashing on the PS4. London in Syndicate stands next to the cities in ACII as one of the most breathtaking and realistic detailed environment, you could really feel the majesty and scale of the famous landmarks. The game is flooded with numerous side activities each of them are interesting and rewarding, The story is much better than unity its good but not stellar. The dual protagonist really made the experience more unique.

The only gripe I have is that there isn't as much customization of equipment compared to Unity, there are less enter-able interiors and the game gets too easy at the later stages(happens if you level up fast but diligently doing the addictive borough missions and side activities).

Assassin's Creed Syndicate clearly is the series back-to-form. Ubisoft also removed the annoying phone app that is binded to the game and gives out free costumes. The game is also very well priced in my country at SGD63.90 on re-date compared to the usual 71-80 which made me really happy to buy it straight off the shelves.

If you are a fan the series then this is a must buy, if not, this is a great Assassin's Creed to start with.

That being said, I was also one of the few people who enjoyed Unity and didn't experience many bugs during my playthrough. So when I first heard about Syndicate I was really surprised by how underwhelmed and unexcited I was, I even told myself I wasn't going to buy it which lasted me until release day when I caved to internal pressure and bought it, and now that I've beaten it I can safely say that I'm glad I did!

At first I hated it, the button mashing combat system, the less interesting Brother, the crappy occasional day 1 parkour glitch, the random but luckily rare game crashes. All this soon faded away though as I got into the main story a little more, and soon found myself actually liking most of the characters and the story. Jacob even started to grow on me about halfway through the story missions! The characters were made up of many names I knew about and was even surprised to see a few I wasn't expecting to see make an appearance. It's clear to me that the teams working on this game put a lot of time into painstakingly recreating London's iconic look and feel for the era, and the characters complimented it better than any other games in the AC series. The story does however start taking some turns near the end which make my question the decision making abilities of some characters, but other than that I really enjoyed the ride.

Gameplay wise, not a lot has changed in the "feel" of the game seeing as how it's using an updated version of Unity's engine. The parkour is just as fluid (when it works), the map is beautiful, and overall it's a great improvement over Unity, aside from the combat. I enjoyed the more precise fencing-esque combat of Unity and was looking forward to seeing them improve it for Syndicate, but instead they changed it completely for a more simplistic button mash which gets a bit draining after awhile.

I could talk about the in-game currency they offer since a lot of people seem to have an issue with this, but honestly I forgot it even existed the entire time I was playing because it doesn't try and force you to buy anything since everything can be earned in game, and it's more fun that way anyhow instead of purposely making it a grind so you buy credits.

Simply put, this game is one of the best Assassins Creed games yet! They learned a lot of a lessons from Unity, but they still have a ways to go before Assassins Creed can be great again. I think if Ubisoft were to give their studios the freedom and time they need, they would have a seriously awesome game that might make people excited for this franchise again. But for an annualized franchise, this one isn't bad. The only reason to not buy this game is if you don't like AC in the first place, if you do than you know what you're gonna get and hopefully you'll be surprised by the improvements made.

Some people were complaining about the grappling hooks taking away from climbing but I like it. Open world is awesome. Waves in the river or awesome. Different weapons are a cool. I think it's pretty simple though I wish they would make it harder. Got to level 6 with like 3 hours of playing.

Playing as Twins who bicker as most siblings do has helped me understand the protagonists and get to know them quicker than any other Assassins instalment.

If you have stopped playing this franchise due to fatigue this could be your entrance back in as in my opinion its the strongest title since Brotherhood.

Special mention also for the Assassination missions in which you can unlock special kills which create some excellent and satisfying moments.

The gameplay is pretty much similar to ACU but a little bit faster and more comfortable. The rope launcher is a great addition to the free running system. The city of London is gorgeous and fully alive with many interesting places to visit and explore , every section of the map is different and adds variety to the game. The characters Evie and Jacob are a great combination for a linear storyline. Both of them great, interesting, and fun to play with and in addition you can switch between them and play every time you wish in the free roam. The things that AC syndicate fails its with the modern day story. It follows the same old steps as Unity, no gameplay just cut scenes. It feels like Ubisoft don't wish to continue the modern day story, they neglected this element completely and its a shame because the modern day story brought the series to its glory with ACII and ACB, but unfortunately the modern day story is weird and confusing, adds little information and masses up things even more. Another thing that is bad in the game its the combat system. The combat feels clunky and weird, although it looks brutal but very easy to attack enemies, no stealth approach at all , no matter how you'll try to be stealthy there will be a point that you will be exposed and you'll have to fight and this is frustrating and not really enjoyable. Overall, ACS offers a great things such as great characters, good story , great mission structure , great side activities and great gameplay but still not perfect as ACII. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Ubisoft has redempted itself with Assassins Creed Syndicate. The game at first is hard to really get into but one you've play a few missions and have familiarised yourself with the new equipment and other characters it becomes really interesting and fun to play. Although the game could of had a more exciting intro it does introduce the characters well with their particular skills; Jacob specialising in more hand to hand combat while Evie is more into stealth and is able to traverse the level without getting noticed much. Although we don't have as many weapons as Unity the combat and weapons are still really fun to use. The city of London has many different Characters and is really diverse, seperating the poor from the rich and the beautiful views from the top of the city. I would highly recommend this game to players who really want to immerse themselves in a good story and fun gameplay. Expand

AC Syndicate gave this history lover the atmosphere that put me square in the middle of a Dickens novel. Where is Oliver Twist, Bill Sikes, **** and the Artful Dodger? I enjoyed everything about the gameplay except the confusing kidnapping scheme. There is just enough innovation to encourage continued interest in this immersive and instructive franchise.

I attempted to play the original game and then another one on the Sony PSP but this was the first start to finish one I have played. To summarize the overall experience "Pretty ****ing Awesome". This game had a lot of positives I enjoyed running through the streets and assassinating all the blighters and police officers I saw in the street. I appreciated the open world Arkham Knight type world. The collectable items were not forced on you like the Riddler trophies in Arkham Knight. The individual memories / quests from notable historical figures was a great addition. Helping out Winston Churchill in WWI, Protecting Karl Marx during a protest, and helping Darwin go ghost hunting was all a lot of fun. The one downfall to the games story telling is the Main Story / Sequences. This is probably where I lack since I never played the other games in the series. So it was hard for me to understand what was going on. They also never really truly explained what was going on in present time vs the memory sequences. You get a quick brief interaction in the present in the beginning of the game. Then in the middle you get another cut scene. Then finally at the end of the game after the final battle you get another glimpse at what's going on in present time. But this never gets fully explained. So if you're new to the series like I am you are sort of at a loss of what is going on. This is where the game fell short for me. I was just never captivated by the main story since I had no connection nor did I have any idea what I was looking for in the main story. Still even with lack of story telling for a new comer to the series the game was a blast. The one draw back that most of these open games seem to struggle with and Batman Arkham Knight did too is the repetitive nature of the side missions. Conquering territories was a very mundane but fun tasks. Most missions have you either saving children from labor, kidnapping some one, and or killing a bunch of blighters. There is a big lack of variety in this mission ops. The good thing is if you play the game like I do you can mix in conquering neighborhoods with finding all the games collectibles. What did cause met a little bit a grief is I was really looking to get the coveted PS4 Platinum trophy in this game and did a pretty good job of getting close until I realized the only 2 trophies left were the Platinum and destroying 5000 objects while driving a carriage. Now if this was on the Xbox One it would not have been a big issue for me since they feature achievement tracking and you can see how much you have left. Most of the games trophies aren't bad at all but this one is truly a punch in the you know what. Though a tracking system would really be helpful. Now I understand that this is more of a PS4 issue than a Syndicate issue but nothing stops UBISoft from releasing an patch that will have a stat tracker similar to the Uncharted and MGS:TPP where you can see how close or far you are. So while the game has its flaws a lot of the major issues I had were more user / OCD related. This is a great game to pick up whether your a fan of the series or not and just run around and have fun.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This was the first AC game I truly enjoyed and actually finished. The gameplay was fun, albeit a bit repetitive the more you played. Once you levelled up enough it also became quite easy, again still fun.
Unlike AC Unity, I encountered no issues whatsoever with Syndicate.

You play as two characters, a brother and sister who are both equally enjoyable to play as, even though the sister has a cool chameleon ability you can eventually get.

My biggest gripe comes with working with Karl Marx, in particular the mission "protect Marx". I failed it the first few times I tried it, simply because I sat by and watched him be killed. As a staunch anti-marxist and anti-communist I struggled with the thought of saving him.

Since I picked this up on sale for $30CDN with all the DLCs and extras I believe it is well worth the money. I look forward to playing the DLCs soon.

The gameplay is reasonably fun. The combat system is faster and much more responsive, however some may consider it too easy. Nevertheless, it's an improvement. The parkour is almost exactly the same as last year (I personally on't mind this), with the main addition being the rope launcher. I believe this makes parkour flow more however if you don't like this idea it is optional. The stealth is more responsive and fun then Unity's, however it does have it's fair share of inconsistencies and annoyances. The customization allows for a lot of creativity, but is a slight downgrade from last year. A few bugs but not to many.

The graphics are great. The close ups and long distance shots from he game can sometimes be beautiful. The game doesn't lag in the slightest on this console. Ubisoft did an amazing job of recreating Victorian London.

The story is okay, at best. My main problem is that it lacks a bit of depth, but nevertheless it isn't a complete flop. The characters are reasonably well written, they each have their own personalities and differences, especially considering we are playing with two characters now. But be warned, the ending is pretty anti-climatic.

Overall a decent game, a massive improvement from last year, but not perfect.

Another Assassin’s Creed game that you can either buy or ignore sight unseen depending on whether you grew tired of the old formula. Some innovations (e.g. the grappling hook) are a welcome addition, some (like two playable characters and their development system) feel forced and not really thought through.
