    This was a definitely a come back from the botch released of AC:Unity, this game restored my faith to the team developing the series. If you have been playing all the AAA games since early 2000s, I would recommend picking this up at some point, it certainly won't disappoint. It is likely that it will be on sale when Odyssey is released in October 5, 2018, if the current $50 doesn't workThis was a definitely a come back from the botch released of AC:Unity, this game restored my faith to the team developing the series. Assassin's Creed Syndicate is the last "traditional" AC game in the series and in some aspects, this game may seem like a love letter for the serie. The way we kill the targets reminded me of the first AC released in 2007, the Jacob-Evie race at the beginning of the game reminded me of AC II with Ezio and his brother, there are also many references to Haytan Kenway and Edward Kenway (we see his mansion in London) and finally gameplay wise, it seems like an improved version of AC Unity. So, it maked a good finale for the first era of AC games.

    Otherwise, i can say that the best missions are the assassinations (end of each sequence). There are 9 of those. The side-content can get a bit repetitive but I still managed to liberate all the London districts.

    Graphics are nice but not as beautiful as AC Unity. They created a dark and foggy London. Again, I feel that there are too much icons on the map. It's the traditional Ubisoft open-world formula which doesn't please everyone.

    I give this game a 8/10 score who makes an easy recommendaton, especially for AC fans.    … Expand

    I've played this game on PS5 so I expected 60 FPS and better graphics probably. But unfortunately Ubisoft doesn't thing it makes sense to update not very new games. So as a result I got experience even worse than on PS4 because sometimes, especially indoors I had some weird and annoying light blinks. It seems it's because not the best backward compatibility.

    However I've finished the    I've played this game on PS5 so I expected 60 FPS and better graphics probably. But unfortunately Ubisoft doesn't thing it makes sense to update not very new games.     However I've finished the main story + all side missions(except fist fights and races) + all DLCs and I could say that this game is good. There is no such wow-effect as it was after those crowds in Unity buy at least there are stable about 30FPS.

    Probably it's the first AC game I smiled after character's jokes - humour is good sometimes.
    Graphics is almost the same as in Unity but more London-specific of course. Environment design is awesome as usually in Assassins Creed. It's just a pleasure to just walk through London streets and to look around. Of course world is not that RDR2 or GTAV level but the evolution is visible.

    Gameplay could be easily characterised as a generic-assassins-creed gameplay. The same is about main story. Side quests sometimes funny but sometimes boring.

    Anyway I'm looking forward to play Origins to see the next step of the evolution. As I know combat system has been re-worked there so I hope won't be so boring.    … Expand

    The last great classic AC game - amazing London setting, an overall great cast of characters and fast and fun brawler combat combined with a few othere fun mechanics make Syndicate a must-play for any AC fans even if it never manages to do anything incredible or unseen.

    It's assassins creed so basically it's the same as every other assassins creed game that's gone before or after. Hand to hand combat is still meh .If you ever wanted to visit London then this is for you.

    To be brutally honest, AC Syndicate's story was boring AF. I had no attachments to the main characters nor the supporting characters. If I were to choose between unity and syndicate, unity wins. The parkour in syndicate feels a bit clunky and the side-missions feel like more of a grind than ever, repetitive and boring. The combat and game mechanics fails to live up to the older games suchTo be brutally honest, AC Syndicate's story was boring AF.     Ac: Syndicate è un buon gioco ed un buon assassin's creed. Gran parte delle critiche sono le solite vuote lamentele dei "fan". Al netto di qualche bug di troppo, tipico dei giochi Ubisoft, il titolo garantisce un esperienza equilibrata e divertente. Superiore al suo predecessore in tutto.

    I really enjoyed this game and i think that the assassins creed franchise can get a bit repetitive and at times a bit boring. like most ubisoft games they have that cookie cutter kind of level design and side activities. However i really enjoyed this assassins creed because of how polished it is and how much effort you can see has gone into the game. The map is decent sized and getting around it is pretty straightforward. you can go around on a carriage and use the grappling hook. which is something that was very cool to introduce to the assassins creed universe. pretty much everything about this game runs smoothly. the combat feels satisfying, the climbing feels fluent and fantastic. and the city of victorian london feels very alive. the side missions are fun and interesting and contain some of histories most interesting people. they're very engaging and have a lot of personality and variation which is something ubisoft tend not to do. As with playing a lot of assassins creed games you feel compelled to dig deeper into the history. victorian london is definetly a interesting setting and i'm pretty sure the developers knew it was a no brainer. As for the actual characters Eve and Jacob fry are okay. They're a bit cheesy but they have colourful personalities and the writing for them isn't too bad. the musical score is fantastic and i always enjoyed hearing it in the background of a fight or a chase. This is also the first assassins creed which introduced the levelling up system and although its not too crippling and its pretty lenient when compared to origins i still remain with the opinion that assassins creed doesn't really need an rpg style level cap system and it would probably be a more interesting game without it. the activities that need to be done in order to level up can be considered tedious and it'd be better if it was a bit more varied. despite that i really enjoyed the game, its story, the characters, the music, the design of the city and loved the history.… Expand

    This is probably the most important piece of advice at the beginning of this short review, which I would like to divide into two parts. The first will evaluate the game in the state in which it is currently on the PS5 console. And in the second part, I will evaluate the game regardless of the absence of a patch for PS5.
    So let's start, the current    DON'T PLAY THIS ON PLAYSTATION 5!
    This is probably the most important piece of advice at the beginning of this short review, which I would like to divide into two parts. The first will evaluate the game in the state in which it is currently on the PS5 console. And in the second part, I will evaluate the game regardless of the absence of a patch for PS5.

    So let's start, the current state of AC: Syndicate on Sony's latest console is appalling (for people with epilepsy, I might say health-threatening). The graphics of the objects and characters look like they were from the era of the last games on the PS3, with a little optimism it could be said that this is the level of the first games for the PS4.
    Furthermore, the game has a big problem with light and reflections. During day missions, your eyes will suffer a lot (I will allow myself a little friendly advice ... do not play the game at night, when looking at your house / apartment outdoors, it will look like a solid disco party is taking place there). These problems spoil the impression of the game a lot.

    But let's say we try to ignore this. The game offers a lot of content, from cleaning the city districts from the Templar Order, a trip to the period of the First World War (it was amazing), to a thrilling and interesting story, but with a very predictable ending. I was missing some plottwist, betrayal or intrigue.

    There are also a lot of side activities, fighting in arenas, carriage races, carriage abductions, carriage protection. Finally, of course, the classic collection of objects from the map.

    The side tasks that I highly recommend are also interesting. Dialogues with Dickens, Victoria and other characters are interesting and often funny.

    The game entertained me for a week and a half. I haven't finished it for the platinum trophy.

    In conclusion, I must add that I am very sorry that UBISOFT did not find a few days of "free" time and did not release a patch that would solve the mentioned problems. AC: Syndicate is definitely one of the better Assassins games. I would give the game two ratings.

    Rating for PS5: 7/10
    Rating for the game if I played it on the PS4 console: 9/10.
    So I will make a compromise and give the game an 8/10 rating.    … Expand

As my first Assassin's Creed game, I was pleasantly surprised. The combat is great once you get the hang of it, stealth is fluid, and the mission structure played well. This game is pretty good, Assassin's Creed Syndicate has solid combat, decent graphics for the time, excellent voice acting, and a great story. However, at the end of the game, you have to liberate a certain number of boroughs in London, this was a huge pain and a monotonous chore, especially because it gave you no indication of it's necessity before. So, you have to go back and liberate boroughs, which basically include boring raids on factories or some other lackluster mission.     I enjoyed this game more than a lot of others did. There’s a lot of positives you can take out of this game, such as in my opinion I think it has the best gaming mechanics to date (eg combat layout). Being able to ride around 19th century London on a horse and carriage, playing as a female protagonist was really enjoyable. The storyline was also well laid out.

    - Gameplay. The fastest way is just rush in and fight with everyone, but it's not that exciting. I played 90% stealthy and it was much easier in some mission/activities than actual rush and it's much more interesting. I recommend avoiding rushing in combat and try to do it stealthily. Additional challenges make the game interesting and make you use items and technics that you don't use or didn't know and sometimes you can find new ways to do stuff. For 100% you must do them.
    Movement in the game is AWESOME. I like the grappling hook is smooth and makes it easier and faster to move around. BUT sometimes on walls character don't want to jump or go where you want to.
    Story missions are not repetitive and interesting to do. The same thing with side missions and they are funny sometimes as well.
    (Little spoiler here) You need to capture the parts of London by doing specific mini side missions (end of a spoiler here).
    They are fast and there are not too many of them so they don't get repetitive and boring, it's on edge tho. I like collectibles and again there is a good amount of them so it doesn't get annoying.

    - Story. Enjoyable. Characters are funny and interesting to play with them. Game is bout "recapturing" London and killing Templars. Don't like how they split the sequences, but maybe just because it's different from old ones. Should you play game for story? Yes, story and characters worth it. A sequence with Main and side missions will take like 1h, 2h max. In total about 18h. DLC's are okay. Recommend buying "The Dreadful Crimes". There you will investigate 12 different crimes. You will feel your self as Sherlock Holmes.

    - Overall I recommend to play, you will be not disappointed. Game will feel different from other ones. Recommend buy UBI+ to play the game. Its 15€ and you will get all DLC, but not The Dreadful Crimes for some reason. So it's worth it these times.    … Expand

    Picked up the gold edition for sale for 20 bucks, story is great, side missions are decent, gameplay is clunky at points but fun, main characters are memorable, great game.

    AC Syndicate is good actually. The combat and stealth is good (tho it's a downgrade from AC unity) parkour is good (tho it's a downgrade from AC unity) but I actually liked the game. It isn't buggy, good soundtrack. the game is good.

    I, personally, love London and I played that part after I actually traveled to London. I recognized many places there but it is no secret that Ubisoft creates great open world settings. I enjoyed Syndicate more than Unity and I really liked the mechanic of playing and switching between two protagonists. It still felt like something is missing

    Best story mode side objectives in any AC game. The "unique kill opportunities" were really fun. I couldnt play the game without Jacob dressed as Sherlock Holmes, but it ended up a better game than i thought.

    Solidna ewolucja formuły, jednak bez większych rewolucji. Fabuła daje jakiś pretekst do działania, postacie można polubić (pomimo tego, że są archetypami), misje nie powalają, choć trafiają się różne urozmaicenia. Wszystko to składa się w przyjemną rozgrywkę, która w połączeniu ze świetnie odwzorowanym wiktoriańskim Londynem daje świetnie spędzony czas.

    Moving on, one common complaint is that this game is much lighter in tone than previous AC games, which I personally liked as I am a sucker for stupid banter in video games, and the twin protagonists play off each other very well in that regard.

    The game also has a lot of pointless collectibles and side missions, but they're easy to ignore and quite frankly not all that tedious as the city is beautifully crafted and a joy to traverse.

    Speaking of the city, in terms of graphics, it’s not bad for a 2016 title. However, the game is incredibly foggy, which seems to be a design choice, albeit one in my opinion that makes the game worse for wear.    … Expand

    This is the best Assassin's Creed game for a lot of reasons.
    The story is interesting enough to keep you playing, the characters are decent, the combat is the best AC has ever seen, and the setting is also top notch. Also in my experience this is the AC game with the smallest amount of bugs.

    Assassin's Creed Syndicate is the last hurrah for the old style AC and what a resounding hurrah it is. This was one of the more surprisingly enjoyable experiences I have played in the series, especially after Unity.

    Focusing on the story of the Frye twins you use them both to liberate London from under the templars borough by borough. The conquest activities are succinct and fun to engage with while you build out your own gang, which is the returning brotherhood mechanic with a fun feeling twist.

    The combat is flashy, responsive and just overall fun. The three melee weapon types serve as a good visual changeup whenever you want to try something a little different. For the first time in series history, we also get a dedicated stealth button that offers some new options.

    What is a massive game changer is the grapple hook. Allowing you to ascend within a manner of seconds and quickly traverse between buildings. A lot of options that Unity offered were taken out but this results in a parkour system that does not feel like garbage, even though it looks anemic compared to a lot of other entries.

    There are also numerous side quests with historical figures that all add a little bit of zest to London, some very surprising. All of the side content feeds you XP and money allowing you to broaden your arsenal of Skills and Equipment which once again introduces some fun gameplay features.

    When it comes to the bad parts, the game has bugged cutscenes to this day, resulting in some characters being invisible. It also is prone to randomly crashing, though this happened only three times in my seventy hours with the game.

    It also features a bunch of person to person 'chases' that are no chases at all. Your target reaches stupid amount of speed so you can't catch them until the developers decide that you can. There is no outplaying this or room for skill expression. Just hold the run button until this active cutscene decides to end with the mercy of the developers. It is something you notice especially if you go for 100%.

    Given Ubisoft and their history with vehicles I was actually surprised how well the carriages handle. All that goes out of the window when you start racing them. Rubber banding is one of the reasons why I don't play most racing games and boy oh boy did this game go overboard with that.

    So AC Syndicate huh? Surprisingly fun and enjoyable. If you like the old style AC games this one is a fun last send off before the Time Saver state the series ended up in. Plus you can basically get it for free these days so it is worth your cash.    … Expand

Momentami zapominałem o grze i szedłem po prostu zwiedzać. Fabuła oparta na rodzeństwie poszukującego artefaktu nie była najgorsza, oczywiście to nie było to samo co przy klasycznych odsłonach, ale mimo to, gra oddała klimatycznie duszę Londyńskiej epoki industrialnej. Podróż pociągiem, usprawnienie poruszania się po mapie w postaci wystrzeliwanej linki z hakiem ułatwiła rozgrywkę.… Expand

    After missing Unity, I picked up Syndicate hoping for, but not really expecting, a decent game. Thankfully, it is decent - about as decent a game can be when it's released on an annual basis. The positives: the graphics are excellent, the Frye twins are well written, there are some humorous moments, the early missions are fun. The negatives: there's plenty of story potential that goesAfter missing Unity, I picked up Syndicate hoping for, but not really expecting, a decent game. Thankfully, it is decent - about as decent a game can be when it's released on an annual basis. The positives: the graphics are excellent, the Frye twins are well written, there are some humorous moments, the early missions are fun. The negatives: there's plenty of story potential that goes untapped, the twins' relationship is hardly covered at all, there is still lots of busy work, some of the missions towards the end get fairly flat, the story doesn't really build to anything memorable and the villain is incredibly amateur (he runs London, yet at no point does he do anything to wrest back control!).     Gameplay
    I finished the story and captured all of the boroughs. This is not a bad game but it is also not the greatest game I have ever played. Like all Assassin's Creed games, it is repetitive. The game is fun to play when the controls do what you want. The controls can be difficult to master. There are instances when I want to be on a specific ledge in parkour mode and I end up on a ledge I do not want to hang on. It is really upsetting when you are trying to be stealthy and the controls place you where you do not want to be, thus resulting in getting caught by the guards/enemies. Ubisoft needs to fix this in their next game. The game is mostly melee and you need to surprise your enemy to kill them quickly or be prepared to fight them for a long time.

    The Story
    The story is not complex. In a nutshell, your objective is to take over London and defeat the Grand Master Templar. There are no surprises or plot turns in the story. The main characters, Evie and Jacob, are unique to the series personality wise. Evie is an excellent character and reminds you of that cool smart chick next door. Jacob shows a significant human side once (he tried to save children in one sequence). His reckless and has the shoot first, ask questions later mentality in the story. I do not know what the major gaming critics are talking about when they say it is a horrible ending. Objectively, the ending to the Evie and Jacob story was not super exciting, but not horrible. The modern day story is unfinished and will likely continue to the next Assassin's Creed game next year.

    Overall, I give it a 7. It is better than Unity but not the best story in the Franchise. The controls should be less convoluted and should have been simplified a long time ago.    … Expand

    This is a definite improvement over unity, the story and characters are improved and is probably the best it's been in a while. The characters are enjoyable and interesting, even if the main antagonist is the stereotypical villain I still found him entertaining. London looks great and you really feel like your in the industrial revolution.

You can hijack coaches a la GTA, the combat is reminiscent from Batman Arkham City as well as the grappling hook( even though it's not as fast, but that just makes sense, considering the times.) and you can have your gang members follow you and fight with you like in saints row.
    You can perform environmental kills, like having hanging barrels drop on foes by throwing knives at them, set off dynamite by either shooting or throwing bombs at them.You can make enemies kill each other by either shooting them with hallucinogenic darts or at open fires that enemies are near to turn it into gas, affecting more than one enemy.
    There are horse races now with coaches that, for the most part, I enjoyed. They aren't easy I really felt I heart pumping while I was playing them. They aren't all one type either. Either it's getting from point a to b, lap races. Beating a train(!), or even triathalons, so there's a lot of variety there.
    Unfortunately, there are still problems with the game, caused by occasionally buggy controls that make the pc do things you didn't want them to. The world map is filled with far to many collectibles for my taste. The map is filled with side activities that can get tedious if you don't take a break from them, though they tried to give most of the gang related ones a back-story to try and make you more interested in them. I have experienced two bugs but not a lot and not nearly as bad as last years.
    In the end, if you still like assassins creed you probably enjoy this. If your burned out on the series however, then either don't get it or wait for a sale or the price to go down, maybe even rent it if you can.

Those pulled the attention of groups on them and there is a hidden conflict between the Assassins and Templars since centuries. Both sides have their merits in my opinion and while I lean more towards the Assassins it is more than simply black and white. The main focus is a technology that lets you relive ancestors experience like you were actually there. Here you use that to follow the adventures of the Assassin twins Jacob and Elvie Frye in 1868 on their journey to break the Templar's control of London and to stop their master plan. It is an uphill battle as you start as small group against overwhelming numbers and resources. I actually truly enjoyed the story and different layers of it. Sadly the side actives have weaker stories and become stale in the end. The gameplay is solid stealth action. You infiltrate, eliminate and gain influence to overpower your rivals. This is done via many missions. Those were good and challenging. You can unlock new items and other helpful things as you progress. There are a lot of side activities and exploration but like I said those become repetitive sooner or later. To give you a bit perspective: I am more the “Do all available side quest before advancing the main story” guy so it could be a better experience if you stick more to the main story. Also I like the characters. You can choose between Jacob and Elvie and both won me over as I was invested in them. The antagonist Crawford Starrick is a magnificent villain I love to hate. As per series standard you also encounter many famous people. Like Charles Dickens, Charles Darwin or Florence Nightingale to name a few. The characters and voice actors are a strength a get my praise. Graphically the game was really good too. I like the London as setting and it feels authentic for a non historian like me. I enjoyed the exploration of the interesting city. Overall it is a bit mixed. The game is enjoyable but gets repetitive faster than I expected. Other open world game to more in this regard.     On the negative side - glitches are still present, mostly in the form of clipping and textures not loading in quickly enough. I had a in engine cut scene play where a character clipped through horse whi,e she was talking and had no mouth movements, another time on another in engine cut scene both evie and jacob did not render but all of their equipment did. Another time most game breakingly of them all, an entire train didnt load in when at a train station - i wws promptly run over and killed. Other annoyances stem from terrible frame rates at times, mostly in the train and an odd and infuriating bug where i am unable to walk through the second carriage because npcs are in the way, making me drunkenyl stager out onto the roof and leap over to the last carriage. Anoying. Finally, the rooe launcher is great when it work, however a good 30-40% of the time it can never seem to find a point to lock onto despite me staring right at one like someone in lust over a ledge on a building. Frustrating.

    It's a fun game, but it's basically more of the same from the AC franchise. The main story isn't really engaging at all, although the side missions are a bit more flushed out than they have been in previous installments. If you like the AC franchise, you will likely get entertainment value out of this, but it certainly won't make you fall in love with it.

    Well AC Syndicate is a good game with problems. With many fixes to previous games and adding in a hand to hand combat which is nice. I also liked playing as two protagonist as well really refreshing.

    The city, while very accurate to Victorian London is, in my opinion, extremely boring. Lots of Grey, Brown & Black. I understand this was what it was like in that era but I personally just don't enjoy it. The graphics are not a massive improvement on Unity

    The grappling hook is a massive problem for me, it is basically a copy of the hook from Batman Arkham Knight, thus eliminating all the old 'climbing puzzles' from the older games. You just zipline from A to B (not always accurately I might add) so gone are the days of parkour across roofs etc.

    The characters are very well written, especially Evie and are probably the most enjoyable aspect of the game so far.

    As someone who has played every game, usually ending between 90-100% completion on them all, this just doesn't seem like one which I will put the effort into doing this with.    … Expand

If you want to get into Assasin's Creed, don't start with this, you'd be better off playing Brotherhood or AC 3 first. However if you're an AC fan, you'll enjoy this, but it's still not the best game in the series, I personally think Black Flag is the best.

    A good game if you like the series. It does contain some bugs but I found them to be infrequent. Gameplay is fun, setting is fun, atmosphere is fun. However it is still assissins creed so be prepared for a fairly repetetive game play loop.

    Sadly, the same cannot be said about the main story. We get a horrible "modern day story", what means we get 10 minutes of "Hey Initiate play this game to find the piece of Eden and then I will show you embarrassing dialogues with Rebecca and Shaun.

    But the most disappointing thing for me was that the templars are no threat for you - at all. You kill one after another, and all they do is "we have to stop this" and "we will stop this". Except they don't. They don't even try. This is topped by a disappointing boss fight and ending.

    Graphics are nice, not as gorgeous as Unity but still pretty good in my point of view. Wait until the price drops.    … Expand

    On the good side, the terrible ideas that came last year like locked content behind companion apps, loyalty programs, multiplayer et cetera, are all gone. This alone is a definite improvement. Microtransactions are existent but not pushed.
    The story is.. ok. That's all there is to it. Characters are fine, but have no depth, they are for all intents and purposes cut-outs. The setting is well-made and very detailed, but the place and time choice is not the best, as nice designed as it is, Syndicate's London, is well.. boring.
    It's not a bad game by any means. It just has some really ugly and underdeveloped sides that keep it from being a good game. If you are not an AC fanatic, wait for a patch, and maybe a price drop too. If you are starved for an AC experience, and are not bothered by the absence of development in the modern timeline story, you will have fun with this, but be warned, there will be those odds Unity-like moments showing their ugly head when you least expect it. At least the series seems to be going in the right direction. I expect something even better in the coming years.
    I would give the game a seven not for not bad but not great, but I deduct an extra point for some seldom but extremely annoying when they appear bugs.    … Expand

    The game starts out fun and then progressively become tedious and a chore to finish. Maybe putting out a game every year is too ambitious. Just as the story starts to build, the story quickly becomes forced only to finish in pathetic fashion.

    after the failure of unity i think that this game is way better and shows the beginning of new generation consoles assassins creed and honestly i believe this will be epic . the game is not like unity it is a very well design game made to excellence . the combat is better than ever and the graphics are staining . this is nothing like the older ones , this is just put assassins creed to a new era .

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. After Assassin's Creed Unity, Syndicate is a definitive step in the right direction, even if it's not the best the series has to offer.

    Jacob and Evie are among the better protagonists in the series, Evie in particular. Both have their own distinct personality, and even vary in gameplay, with Jacob excelling at taking and delivering punishment, and Evie's power lying in being invisible to her enemies and killing them without anyone knowing. Unfortunately, the game doesn't play to their strengths for the most part. Jacob will always be thrown in situations where he has to be stealthy, and Evie will always be thrown in situations where she has to fight. In addition, despite Evie being the far more interesting character, she gets 2 missions for Jacob's 3.

    In terms of gameplay, for better or for worse, this is Assassin's Creed. You climb buildings, assassinate targets, and fight enemies like any other game in the series. The assassination missions are among the best in the series. Unlike the other games in the series providing a "here's your target, just make sure they die," each assassination feels like you're planning a heist, with taking time to plan your entrance and escape, find people to help or exploit, and using one of the multiple paths there are to take in order to make sure your target dies.

    The biggest change to exploration comes in the form of the rope launcher, which allows you to traverse across and up buildings in mere seconds. For those of you who get tired of spending minutes climbing up a building just to jump off, this is a lifesaver. For those of you who do like to climb things, that's still a perfect option, especially since the speed at which you climb has been boosted.

    Naturally, you have a large open world to explore, with various side missions and collectables to explore. Sadly, there are no dungeons where you can test your freerunning skills to find super armour, like in previous games. Your side missions consist of you pretty much doing the same things you would do in any other mission, which causes the game to start feeling repetitive if you want to free London from Templar rule.

    Overall, Assassin's Creed Syndicate does not revitalize the franchise in the way that 2 or Black Flag did. It has it's issues, with a repetitive structure, a lack of unique gameplay options for each twin, and a pretty anti-climactic ending. That being said, the things Syndicate does right outweigh the problems it has. It may not be the best in the series, but at the end of the day, it's fun, and that's what matters. For me, in terms of quality, it's at around the same area as Revelations, if not a little higher. So take that for what you will.    … Expand

    I really do love the assassins creed games. Syndicate is fun but Im starting to get burnt out with all the AC games. I wish they would rap the story up and not make it into the next CoD. The grappling hook is fun and fresh, couldnt get into the carage rides though. All in all its a fun game. its just burning me out

It is a great gaming experience to play as 2 assassins of distinctive personalities with different styles of missions. It comes to my surprise when I figured out there is a World War I simulator hidden in the course of the game. Also,London featured in this game is extremely gorgeous. Landmarks like The Big Ben are detailedly manifested. The storyline is ok but the characters are likable. It is a great gaming experience to play as 2 assassins of distinctive personalities with different styles of missions.     Besser als Unity... schlechter als AC4 oder AC: Rogue. Spassig allemal... mehr aber auch nicht. Irgendwie hat mir London nicht wirklich gefallen. Das Kampfsystem ist eine Verbesserung zu Unity... aber lässt mich jenes aus Black Flag vermissen. Hmm... die Pause von Ubisoft tut glaube ich ganz gut.

    Aber genug gemäkelt. AC Syndicate ist alles in allem ein ganz gutes Spiel

    Another year. Another AC storyteller. Even though it is getting tiresome i actually had fun with the game unlike AC unity. It has an appealing story, interesting secondary missions, fun main characters and the beautiful Victorian environment which were the only aspects that kept me going.

    While I had quite a bit of fun playing this game, I just found the more I progressed the more repetitive it was. By the time I had only 3 distracts left I had both Jacob and Evie maxed out on their skill level, so it was just far too easy.

    Quite solid entry for the series, exploring this London of the nineteenth century is absolutely amazing, I feel the graphics are great, they are just beautiful. On the other hand, while mechanics are not bad, battles are just button mashing (and there are very few types of enemies as well), and missions are extremely repetitive.

The characters are great and i mean all of them, the music is well scored and london looks great. The game still suffers from its terrible boss fights, modern story and repetitive gameplay.     I really wanted to like this game more as I have always been a big fan of the series. It is a polished game and depicts the Industrial Age very well , the story and missions varieties are a lot better then previous titles and the gameplay has come a long way. It just feels abit

I just wish Ubisoft would try something different like they did with AC black flag , for example bigger scale battles , Vikings , samurais whatever just something more epic.     I've completed first missions and i can tell - this game not dedicated for hardcore players. Too easy, really:
    without any preview of this game i run through first two levels without death. No falls, no kills, enemy can't stop, with small skill in MK (for example) you can win many hand-to-hand battles without any gadget.

The twins are good protagonists but the story was lacking to keep me interested, I couldn't even tell you what the main plot was. Same issues as before the games sidequests are just fetch quest and repeated, Ubisoft could make AC great again if they followed Witcher 3 formula.     It felt like I was playing assassisn creed unity just with better story and a longer one good side quests not that good but better then Unity,the movement was **** like unity,not a multiplayer was disappointed bout that didn't like that it was two playable characters and that u can switch whenever u want(gta5 stuff there) the combat was to easy.

The atmosphere is incredible, probably one of the most atmospheric games I've ever played. The last game I played that had atmosphere as good as this was BioShock. I love the Victorian London setting, my second favourite AC game setting. Like all other AC games,Assassin's Creed: Syndicate is very much a mixed bag, and it's certainly not for everyone, but the end result is far from bad.     I originally bought this game probably a year after it came and for some reason I didn't want to play it and sold it shortly after. Here we are in 2019 and after playing AC Origins/Odyssey I got in the mood to play AC Syndicate. I played the game for awhile then took about a month break and returned back to it again to finally finish it. Here are my likes and dislikes of the game.

    Likes:
    1) Skill Sets. This is what drove me to play the game even more because I like upgrading my skill sets regardless of what game I am playing.
    2) Gang Upgrades. Is a nice addition although I didn't use the gangs as much it was still a cool feature to add.
    3) The London Environment. It was pretty cool seeing historical buildings and everything else London has to offer.
    4) The Zip Line attachment. For some reason other gamers did not like this feature but I really liked it as it did save time on climbing buildings, etc.
    5) Purchasing treasure maps. Saved a lot of time purchasing them rather than search for them.
    6) Leap of Faith. Executing the Leap of Faith from the tallest buildings in London sure is fun.

    Dislikes:
    1) Enemy characters appearance. Their appearance was the same throughout the game and it loses the appeal of the game.
    2) The graphics are okay.
    3) From what I remember there was no inclement whether like snow, rain, etc.
    4) The game gets VERY REPETITIVE which is why I took a month off from the game and when I returned to the game I just wanted to finish it so I could move onto my next game.
    5) I think the game could've been better off without Evie. I played Jacob 90% of the time. Didn't see the point in playing two characters.

    In conclusion this game does have it's appeals but their are flaws in this game that hinder it from being a great game which is why I give it a 7/10.    … Expand

Power up system is disturbing, cause at very little more of half game i was max level, making all the experience pointless. Paymants too , cause you can boost up your gang expansion and you can even trade real money for in game credits.. At the end of the day, this Assassin's Creed is different from the others, taking a different path from the series. It is still a good game for the amount of things if have, London is recrated great.… Expand

    A most enjoyable romp through Victorian London with an amazing backdrop different to what came before. A solid main narrative with 2 good leads slightly let down by tedious, repetitive and clunky missions.

    Syndicate is much different game from previous installments.Focused on london the gameplay is not quite different though,but the overall experience is way lower as compared to ezio trilogy,black flag etc

    AC Syndicate was a big improvement from AC Unity. This is mainly because of the lack of bugs in the game and a major improvement in side quests. The map is gorgeous and you can really interact with it, but the story is not something incredible. I feel like the game lacks something to make it one to remember but its a fun game and quite enjoyable.
    7/10, worth playing.

    It's the game that brang me in the serie back in 2015, and even if it is not as good as its predecessors, it's still the best Assassin's Creed game that Ubisoft made during the last 5 years, and I had so much fun playing it.

I liked the brother-sister leads and the London setting is beautiful. There are plenty of fun side missions to do along with the great main story line. It doesn't have any "levels" or customization like future AC games which I actually prefer. Overall, it's aI believe Syndicate was the last great AC title in the series.     i cam to this game really late (2020). I really enjoyed it. After playing unity i found this game to be much cleaner. Parkour is still a bit hit and miss. The story isn't as strong as some other games in the franchise but had some pretty cool missions.

Some innovations (e.g. the grappling hook) are a welcome addition, some (like two playable characters and their development system) feel forced and not really thought through.
