    The COD franchise has a special place in my heart as I have played them all; however, with almost no changes to the game since COD3, it feels like these guys are more into media hype and cash raking than keeping the franchise fresh. It's like halo all over again, same game new maps.     Outdated engine is outdated. God, the particle effects are exactly the same as they were in CoD 4. I'm not sure how anyone could blow 60 dollars an CoD MW 1.3, because that's what it is. Even the gun audio remains the same for most weapons. Sure, they've tweaked gameplay, that doesn't warrant another release though, instead they could actually support their community and game with contentOutdated engine is outdated.     looks like i am not the only one that thinks this is a horrible game. I was one of the many people who waited for the midnight launch of the game. I waited 2 hours just so when i went on today to play multiplayer and there is nothing. It is like everyone says it is, modern warfare 2 with a few added weapons and perks and that's it. The graphics are bad just like the game play and the lag.looks like i am not the only one that thinks this is a horrible game.     Zocker is wrong, both BF3 and MW3 are both terrible games, the difference is that BF3 was made that bad, MW3 they took MW2 and changed a little bit, added a crappy new story, then sold it like tard cakes. both were very bad games, MW3 is worst and i cant understand how anybody could be so blind as to not realize its obvious flaws in both game play and story

    I've seen DLC that has more content than this installment. Professional game reviewers giving this game 80-90 revies really makes me question the state of the industry.

    Horrible!!!! SHAME ON ACTIVISION.This game is pure crap and its no more than a DLC please do not buy this game, Either ps3 or xbox is the same stuff so please do yourself a favour and buy something else. Stop giving Activision your hard-earned money cause this is nothing new

    Game reviewers are getting paid to give this resale of last years game positive reviews. Its 5 hours long and some multiplayer maps. Really dont waste your time or cave into your kids request for the game.. there are so many more other games out there that arent rehashed

    You would think after DICE stepped up their game and created a brand new engine that maybe CoD developers would have done the same thing and tried to improve upon their last few games. But no, same game as always. CoD is the new Madden of FPS. Constant releases all the same.

    Absolute crap. Don't buy this game or even rent it. I wouldn't even be willing to pay $10 for this garbage let alone $60. There's so much recycled stuff from sound to graphics and even the buildings

    Always been a Modern Warfare fan, not World at War, not Black ops only Modern warfare. Until now. Graphically the same as the first two, ok that's fine. Game play is great, and is what I had expected from the previous two. This "GAME" should not have been released as a disc-based game, it should have been available as DLC to modern warfare 2. Everything in this game has been rehashed, withAlways been a Modern Warfare fan, not World at War, not Black ops only Modern warfare. Until now. Graphically the same as the first two, ok that's fine. But if they think that they can get $60 out of me, then No. No, I don't want to pay for a bunch of people sitting there doing nothing. No, I will not pay for the same thing twice.     Disgraceful. When Mw3 crashed to desktop it noted "Modern Warfare 2" has stopped working. Sums it up perfectly. Waste of money. No effort to make an improved game since 2007. You people are a joke.

    This is the same old rehashed s**t. It's exactly the same as Modern Warfare 3 and offers nothing new to the table, other than new maps and weapons. Activision will just keep on releasing the same old game every year as long as people buy the game because it's called "Call of Duty".

    terrible. same old same old garbage. wake up players. I bought this title with the intention of getting a game that was worth $60. Turns out that it was just a waste of money. Activision should have just released this game as DLC for MW2, because thats basically what it is. Don't waste your money with this game.

    The fact that there is an audience for Call of Duty astounds me. This generic shooter is the same copy and paste formula we have been seeing year after year from Activision. With its low skill ceiling and over powered incentives this game lacks any variety what so ever. This game is more fitting as a map pack, a bad one at that.

    Oh man, this is worse than most of the Call of Duty games.... I mean really, everyone was just going on and on and on about it, and when it finally gets here, it was just flat out awful! It ended up being such a disappointing game. Hopefully, the next game (if there is one...) won't be as bad. Just get Uncharted or Sonic Generations.

    Well, what shall i say? Its a $55 mappack. I had high expectations, and yes i'm disappointed! I mainly blame Infinity Ward and hope that Activision will never work with them again.

    Wow, this game is the same thing, over and over again. MP offers zero competition. 10 year old kids might enjoy this game, but other than that? Steer clear.

    This game is absolutely horrible. Hardcore mode is screwed, one hit and someone is dead just like black ops. They basically just made black ops "modern warfare" and slapped the 3 on it to sell.

    I dont understand the critics from the major companies....clearly Actavision wrote them a big fat cheque so that they would give it some sort of positive score. This game lacks everything its a COPY PASTA of MW2 what a joke and their charging us full retail price. This game sucks KEEP your money and instead play MW2........ Im going for a refund as we speak.

    Appalled by review scores. Battlefield gets ripped on the fact that they added a singleplayer mode to what is essentially a multiplayer only game, just as an addition to add value to the game, yet Activision gets away with this crap every year. It's all about the money, and they're making a lot of it.

    It's just overpriced DLC for MW2. Nothing more, nothing less. I think Activision really need to make a new game. Not just copy old games add a couple of features and call it new. They do this every year.

    DO NOT BUY. Waste of money - bought it and stupid me chucked the reciept. Stuck with this piece of ****. It feels like a mw2 expansion - but it feeels like it has made it worse. I hate when developers do this - rehash old games. The only new thing is the menu. SERIOUSLY DO NOT BUY

    I wouldn't have given this game a flat out ZERO if I had written this earlier. I really do NOT like a game developer ripping off consumers year after year promising new things. Only to find out the same EXACT models and animations were ripped from the earlier games.

    I would have given this game, maybe a 5 out of 10. But year after year video game websites such as IGN give this game the title, "Game of the Year" and so on. Which leads me to believe either A. they are idiots, or B. they are being paid.

    I am a Battlefield fan, and I used to be a Call of Duty fan. With all "fanboy" aside. DICE brings new stuff to the table, while IW rehashed used material.

    The straw that broke the camels back on my ZERO rating. Was the idiot Schofield begging for metacritic reviews on Twitter. Schofield, eat my nasty nuts, your game deserves a score of 2/10.    … Expand

    There's a tangible insistence from gamers that this series needs to evolve, but it seems unwarranted when it still leads the FPS class. The engine's definitely in need of an overhaul, but when it comes to thumping set-pieces and addictive multiplayer design, Modern Warfare 3 is still in a league of its own.
