    Not regretting trying it, here's the lesson, never take negative reviews seriously on metacritic until you have tried certain game for yourself. You might miss out on many outstanding games that are hated for dumb reasons.

    Graphics in this game were ahead of it's time, looking at trash games like cyberpunk2077 makes me like games like this even more (and overall open-world as well)

Biggest problem with these kinds of games is that everyone tries to compare them to GTA 4 (2008) and honestly this is unfair in every possible way. Chicago is well designed, over 50 different cars you can drive, murder mystery to solve, decent story, cool outfits, lots of guns etc. Graphically one of the best looking games of 2014.     Very cool open-world/action/hacking game to spend to some time having fun. It doesn't have as much content as GTA V, but i doubt that was ever the intention. In my opinion it has just enough content, it's not over blown with endless stuff to do, but it's still long enough game. City is really well designed by 2014 standards, weather effects are nice, graphics are pretty good, but gameVery cool open-world/action/hacking game to spend to some time having fun.     The story and mission designs of this game are good, but the gameplay is the most disgusting gameplay mechanics I've seen among all games. The game does not officially aim at you. The character stands up by himself when in the trench. The aiming aid of the game is so disgusting that it officially won't let me use my mouse.

    Watch_Dogs is better game than Legion and WD 2 combined. I have lost all hope for this series, but at least there will be always this game to play. Strong doubt Ubisoft can fix this series, if they even want to make next game.

    Nobody even cares about that stupid E3 trailer anymore. That was million years ago. Game looks still great on PC no matter what. City is well designed and gunplay is fun. Hacking makes this game stand out of other similar games.

But the gameplay itself is just awful. Ubisoft took the worst aspects of GTA/Saints Row and turned them up to 11. Best believe that each and every activity in the game are there to annoy you. All of the rest either has a stupid-ass timer to artifically inflate the difficulty, or has a million other small things that will prohibit you in one way or another from even remotely enjoying the game. As far as GTA clones go, I'd much rather play Total Overdose or Just Cause 1 than touch this crap again.… Expand

    It is not a game that you will play over and over again. Due to its bad storyline you will probably complete it and not run again for months. If you ignore it, you will give yourself some pretty good time. Gameplay is not perfect (in some places is even worse than storyline) but it is definitely a very playable game.

    I love person of interest and this is the closest it can get.

    Story and characters are good. They don't feel cringe like in wd2 or legion. Hacking is not that deep but it is still nice. Controlling a security camera to locate enemies, changing lights to slow down cops, causing blackout to escape. Gunfights are great.     Car handling is really bad. Very rarely it works but mostly unberable. You keep hitting every object and npc in your way.

    Digital trips. Especially alone and conspiracy is really great. Alone focus on survival and conspiracy on finding targets. It is really interesting concept.

    There should have been weapon customization.

    Walking while raining feels so good.

    Solid open-world game, it's not GTA 5 level, but it had it's own cool things that GTA 5 doesn't have. Like you can ride inside train and actually walk around there, GTA 5 doesn't have that. GTA 5 is obviously better game, but Watch Dogs is still great.

    in fact, watch dogs 1 made the error only in the E3 trailer, except that I think both the graphics and the physics engine, I think it is very successful.     Watch Dogs 1 is great open world hacker game. Graphics look really solid considering it came out early 2014. gameplay is fun enough, shooting feels great, outfits have cool color variations. It's not perfect, but hardly anything is.

    I'm not even slightly surprised for this low user score. After all it's not some Sony studio that buys reviews (that happened with demon souls remake, go check if you don't believe me). But yeah, it's Ubisoft, most underrated game developer on planet earth. Watch Dogs (2014) is nice enough game, i like it, it's not perfect, but i don't mind that. It has still enough content and solid graphics.

    I like the darker tone of first game. At times looks really realistic actually, keep in mind it's 2014 game. Not GTA V, but still unique in it's own right.

    Generalne odczucia z gry mam bardzo pozytywne. Główna mechanika hakowania - praktycznie wszystkiego, jest wielkim urozmaiceniem podczas rozgrywki. Możliwość infiltracji, rozpraszania przeciwników czy likwidowania celów za pomocą tej mechaniki daje dużo frajdy. Misje poboczne są wspaniałym sposobem na pogłębienie immersji i wczucie się w opowiadaną historię. Jeśli ktoś lubi uzupełniaćGeneralne odczucia z gry mam bardzo pozytywne. Główna mechanika hakowania - praktycznie wszystkiego, jest wielkim urozmaiceniem podczas rozgrywki. Możliwość infiltracji, rozpraszania przeciwników czy likwidowania celów za pomocą tej mechaniki daje dużo frajdy. Misje poboczne są wspaniałym sposobem na pogłębienie immersji i wczucie się w opowiadaną historię. Jeśli ktoś lubi uzupełniać rozgrywkę o zadania poboczne, na pewno będzie zadowolony tak jak ja. Oczywiście, jeśli ktoś nie jest nastawiony na maxowanie gry, to najpewniej po kilku misjach mu się znudzą, gdyż są powtarzalne i często monotonne. Jednak ja zawszę znajdowałem w tym wszystkim dla siebie jakieś urozmaicenie. I tak, aby zrobić grę na 100% trzeba się oddać pewnym nudnym i nic nie wnoszącym zadaniom, ale reasumując, da się to przeżyć. Sam wątek główny jest ciekawy, może nie jakoś bardzo pociągający ale poprawny. W kilku sekwencjach naprawdę się wciągnąłem, ale na ogół po prostu z przyjemnością bez większego podekscytowania szedłem dalej, bez większego zżycia z bohaterami. Jeśli chodzi o aspekt mechanik takich jak jazda pojazdami, strzelanie czy poruszanie się to jest po prostu poprawnie. Postać czasami zachowuje się "drewnianie" - przykleja się do osłon i nie che się od nich oderwać, spada z krawędzi, i wspina się pozbawiona dynamiki. Model jazdy, nie jest zbyt innowacyjny i rozbudowany, ale potrafi sprawić przyjemność. Feeling strzelania wypada naprawdę okej. Nie ma w nim większych rzeczy do których mógłbym się przyczepić. Dużym ułatwieniem jest drzewko rozwoju postaci, którego rozwój jest konieczny do uwolnienia faktycznego potencjału gry i jej mechanik. Największym minusem jest tryb on-line. W jego skład wchodzi kilka różnych "trybów" ale żadny mnie nie wciągnął, a przeszedłem przez nie tylko aby dostać osiągnięcie. Jedynie wróciłem kilka razy do hakowania on-line - ten tryb wypada najlepiej spośród wszystkich dostępnych w grze. Podsumowując, jest to całkiem dobra gra z otwartym światem, masą zadań pobocznych, ciekawą mechaniką pozwalającą na przejście misji w nietypowy sposób, poprawnymi modelami walki, jazdy i sterowania, bez wymiernie wciągającej fabuły i treści zadań pobocznych. Według mnie najlepiej będą się z tą grą bawić osoby, takie jak Ja :). Takie, które lubią obserwować jak mapa powoli oczyszcza się z miliona wskaźników, zgłębiając przy tym stworzony przez twórców świat. Które potrafią przymrużyć oko na powtarzalność i zwykłą poprawność podstawowych mechanik na rzecz wielogodzinnej zabawy, z umiejętnością urozmaicenia jej sobie, przez nietypowe, kreatywne podejście.     Recently tried it and i'm impressed. Is it gta 5 ? No. But does it innovate in terms of 2014? Hell yeah. People who act like it didn't innovate never played it. First time ever you can control bridges, trains (move around inside train), hack people's phones in video game. These things were never done before watch dogs came out.

    This is a f***ot game. Every mission is frustrating, you fail no matter what you do, controls are bad, and the cops pop out of nowhere.

    It's a good game, not as good as GTA series games, but this is the Ubisoft game after all.
    I hope that in the following part of this game Ubisoft will improve physics of damages of cars, will make driving by more realistic, will work with shadows and reflections more carefully.

    This game seems to have a interesting concept, I gave it a good go, but overall Iam finding the game boring and mediocre. Iam not enjoying it and would rather play something I would enjoy.

    What's with the hate on this game? It has great atmosphere, good story, alive and detailed open world, good graphics and gameplay. Sure, it's not the best game ever but very enjoyable experience overall.

    Actually really decent game that has amazing graphics for 2014 video game. Depends on time of day, but at sunset / night time it looks amazing, also when it rains. Cool serious main character, not some cartoonish idiot.

    Mixed feelings after this game. The plot and setting were OK for me, an interesting idea. But the performance in graphics and gameplay was pretty weak, especially comparing to what was early announced about this game in the first place.

    The story in game was really good. Game work well on modern PC. Really annoying was system of hiding behind covers. Once you try to hide and you will either miraculously peel off the cover or you will run from one to the other.

    This game is absolutely amazing compared to Cybertrash2077. Watch_Dogs actually has interesting city, graphics look good for 2014, story mission are fun.

    I really like first Watch_Dogs game, second and third game are trash sadly, so i don't have high hopes for 4th game, because feels like they have no idea how to make it good anymore. But at least first one was actually really cool with it's dark atmosphere and pretty good graphics for 2014 (on PC of course, i know console versions looked worse).

    First, this is a good game. The average User Score is misleading. I don't know what kind of technical or any other problem this game had back in the time when it was first released. As of 2020, this is a solid game with a decent story. Due to its open nature, there are so many things that you can do but I don't recommend that. I avoid most of the side missions, just done a couple of them when I first started the game and then focus just the main mission.     It's actually pretty solid open-world hacking game. On steam it has actually solid user score, but that seems to be the case with many games on metacritic. RDR2 score here is absurdly low, like 5.6/10 ? lol, so yea.

    Pretty ironic that best version of this game has lowest score. I have solid fps with RTX 2060, game is maxed out. It's not best game ever, but there aren't many games i would say are "best ever" anyway. It's decent open world hacker game.

    Ubisoft's flagship title has a really, really repulsive protagonist. The entire storyline feels like it was cranked out of a automated story generator. On the positive side, Watch Dogs looks really good on PC, especially after modding the graphics to match the visual splendor of the early E3 demos. [Aug 2014]

    Nothing could have realistically lived up to the immense level of hype that Ubisoft stirred up for this game, and while I value strong narratives and envelope-pushing technological advancements, I place just as much importance in the ability to enjoy the gameplay that's being offered to me. Watch Dogs is one of the more exciting sandbox games of the last few years, and if this is to become Ubisoft's next big franchise, I'm excited to see where they take it.
