    Most underrated good game of past 10 years, no other game gets even close in terms of underrated. I'm playing this game absolutely every year and i really like it.

    Watch_Dogs (2014) is best watch dogs game easily, graphics still look good in 2020 and city is nice.

    It's very clear that thousands, maybe even millions of people have actually really liked this game. It just got hate from small group of people who wanted to hate it for whatever reason they had. Overall it sold over 10 million copies, so no wonder it actually has a lot fans. People who still try to pretend that it's bad game, can just go home at this point. Best of three watch dogs games. I like how they also made nature-out of city area, they really missed a mark with that one in WD Legion. In fact Watch_Dogs map is actually pretty well designed for 2014 game. It was Ubisoft's first modern city and it would be absolutely unfair to compare it to GTA V. GTA V map is designed masterfully and i can't use same word for watch_dogs map, but it's still very well designed. GTA V is one of my favorites and obviously better game than Watch_Dogs, but Watch_Dogs is still good game. I like them both and it depends on my mood if i wanna play GTA V or Watch_Dogs. I love Watch_Dogs dark, rainy atmosphere, specially at night time and when i want sunny Los Angeles i will play GTA V, but to be fair, rain effects and lighting is also great in GTA V. Overall i would very much recommend Watch_Dogs.… Expand

    It's mind-blowing how spoiled some "gamers" are. I have a feeling these are just some people who didn't care about this game anyway, that's only explanation for these 0/10's. Watch Dogs is solid open world hacker game, would recommend!

    Thank god Watch_Dogs steam user score got finally fixed, hopefully this one will as well someday. It's very good game, that got way too much hate in 2014 for nothing. People just overhyped it for no reason, it still solid game. In recent years seems like tons of people have come out and said that they really actually like this game, specially on youtube.

    Good fun hacking game that takes place in huge Chicago, also has shooting elements. Not perfect, but still very enjoyable. Graphics look incredible for 2014 game, specially at night.

    It's so ironic that PC version of this game has lowest rating while it is actually best version out of them all. Best graphics, best fps, etc. Good game, would recommend if you like open-world GTA type game with hacking.

    Better than WD2 and WD Legion, hopefully they go back to their roots with WD4, otherwise this series is dead and that would be really sad ending for something so cool. This hacking-open world idea awesome. But as WD Legion failed (i strongly doubt they can fix it anymore, they put way too much focus on recruit anyone system and basically forgot to make open world interesting) i'm worried,Better than WD2 and WD Legion, hopefully they go back to their roots with WD4, otherwise this series is dead and that would be really sad ending for something so cool.     Solid 2014 open-world hacker game. Hate it got is ridiculous, it's perfectly fine game. People need to STOP OVERHYPING VIDEO GAMES! I like this dark rainy atmosphere Chicago has, costumes are cool, shooting feels nice, graphics are good.

Most of these comments here are from 2014 and doesn't reflect what this game actually is. It's clear that this game will be looked back in 50 years as something ambitious and in many levels it actually succeeded. Many people complained that it didn't look as good as E3 trailer and half the hate came from there, but nobody never mentions that it still looks really good for early 2014 game, specially at night time. I played it 2 hours ago and even in 2020 it looks very decent. Huge respect goes from me to everyone who worked on this game and i understand you didn't have maybe biggest budget and what not, but what you did is still great job. It was also first open-world modern city game for Ubisoft, so imo it's kinda unfair to even compare it to GTA series, because Rockstar had been on roll since 2001. I'm hardcore GTA fan, but i almost equally like Watch_Dogs (2014). Of course GTA 5 is bigger, has more content and what not, but Watch_Dogs has always been hacker game first and that's how this game stands out from other GTA clones, in fact Watch_Dogs is not GTA clone, thanks to this hacking theme, it manages to be completely it's own thing.… Expand

    Here on this site Reviews are pretty much stagnated to 2014, thankfully people actually found this great game and now it has over 10 000 positive reviews on steam. Watch_Dogs is really nice game and best of three.

In fact first time i heard about this game was the day it released lol. So basically i had no idea what this game even was and i found out it's open world chicago with hacking.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. it is a decent game with a decent story. most of the hacking during driving Is just QTEs. The open-world is ok, the driving sucks, FYI I play hardcore sim racing and arcade racing games, you only meet the villain of the story 3 times, and the third time you kill him, also he is just evil for the sake of being evil no actual motivation. most of the fun in this game is during spider tank ( a side mission ) and gang hideouts (also side missions). no one should play this if you have the option to play watch dogs 2, it is way better in every way imaginable with better hacking, better open world and no false graphics tease.… Expand

У юбисофт есть 2 игры интересные - Сидж и Реймен Леджендс. Все остальное - дерьмо блевотное. Надеюсь эти идиоты обанкротятся и закроются. Хуже говноделов в индустрии нет.… Expand

    I regret that I bought this **** game. The gameplay is boring, the story is very bad, the protagonist has no personality and the game is broken. They lie to us on the trailers and the visuals are very ugly too. I never gonna buy an Ubisoft product again.

    Really enjoyable game! I am playing this in 2020 and i am enjoying it a lot! Great flow of the story, great gameplay mechanics (the driving takes a little practice but its ok). Definately not a 5, its an 8/10 for sure. Ubisoft makes some great games.

    Nice game in its genre, beautiful graphics, story, side missions, but when i drive a car my fps drop form 80 to 40 but its really nice game, recommend buying it

    6.5/10. The core gameplay is really weak, though the hacking puzzles can be enjoyable. It's a shame that this game does not present a cohesive story and the main character is so dull as it could have been an important entry in the world of Internet dangers that are developing faster and faster. Still fun at times.

    surprisingly not as terrible as people say, story is cliche but its not different from any hyped blockbuster. gameplay is solid shooting is nice and hacking adds some cool elemtns into it. nothing groundbreaking but okay

Cuando Watch Dogs finalmente se lanzo, no había otra cosa que encontrar mas que criticas a su rendimiento y el downgrade que la empresa le termino haciendo a su nuevo titulo. La historia, con una introducción bastante corta y el fugaz tutorial de sus nuevas mecánicas, nos mostraba el potencial que podía tener el juego en cuanto al sigilo y la forma en que podemos completar las misiones. Pese a todos sus altibajos con el pasar del tiempo se fueron actualizando algunos de los errores hechos en su salida, pero la plataforma en la que surgirían mayor efecto seria la PC ya que las actualizaciones en su mayoría era para Uplay PC. Actualmente se puede modificar el juego para que se vea aun mejor que su presentación en el demo de E3, lastima que haya quedado olvidado, ya que si bien el apartado gráfico fue la mayor decepción que obtuvo, no fue un mal juego.… Expand

    I don't like driving from cops. It's boring. Thankfully you can mostly skip those side missions.

    Most of the vehicles aren't really fun and don't handle that well.

    Most of the music is pretty bad, so I turned it off.

    I craft items and they disappear. Missions disappear even though it appears that the game still registers me as in a mission.

    Missions bug out. The first forced Online Contracts. I completed everything, now it wants me to access the Online Contracts App but it says it's unavailable during missions... After watching a walkthrough it appears that the "Online Contracts App" never actually shows up, and I was thinking what they wanted me to access is the "Fixer contracts".

    The "fix" I figured out was to click "monitoring network" instead, which opens the "online contracts" menu/map, which you can get stuck in. And the fix for getting stuck in that is to click every single option on the map, and one of them should eventually work. For me, "online hacking" was the one that worked. Then "request hacking target". Then I went into the game menu options -> online -> online invasions OFF.

    Fills up your screen with information to read while you're getting shot. And then after you dismiss it so you can not get killed it's difficult/impossible to find. An easy fix would be if the game paused during those pop up messages, like pretty much every other game does.

    The mouse accel makes the combat really frustrating, especially when there are lots of enemies. It even makes the map frustrating to use.

    Lots of annoying and buggy things, such as completing an area and then enemies respawn right away. Or completing one section of a mission and then enemies spawn right on top of you and kill you immediately, resulting in you having to do everything again, including the unenjoyable hacking mechanism. Plus you have to go through unskippable cut scenes over and over. Missions frequently bug out and make you lose everything you earned during the mission. Because the only way to get out of a mission is to erase everything since the beginning of it. Crazy.

    Sometimes you can't use the same key that you used to open a menu to close it. Can't scroll out far enough on the map. You have helicopters chasing you and you have to do actions on them or attack them, but it locks your camera so you can't even look at the helicopter. There's no mechanism for getting out of boats normally/easily. The upgrades are super "meh".

    Please don't expect a GTA experience from this game. Because this isn't close. But it's not a bad game. I didn't regret. I like the story and characters. 35hrs on record.

    Looking Good. And god damn good. Story Is Brilliant Graphics are Brilliant Gameplay is brilliant. But the optimization and car physics is just messed up. uhhh whatever. This game is awesome. thats what i want to say guys. dont worry if you're have a good system. Launch this game on ya' PC. Enjoy

    After having received this for free when Ubisoft gave it away, and quite some time after release, I do believe Watch Dogs is great. It is also horrible, in some ways. But all in all, it is great - with the main problem being that, at the time of release - Ubisoft has promised some kind of gaming revolution but all we got was another title of the worrying franchise "Hey Look We've Made AnAfter having received this for free when Ubisoft gave it away, and quite some time after release, I do believe Watch Dogs is great. It is also horrible, in some ways. But all in all, it is great - with the main problem being that, at the time of release - Ubisoft has promised some kind of gaming revolution but all we got was another title of the worrying franchise "Hey Look We've Made An Open World".

    And though it seems the game was panned partially due to the serious antagonist and somewhat grim storyline, I actually found it to be one of the strong points of the game.
    I liked the main narrative and the dynamics between the characters, the opening was well crafted to get you into the atmosphere and there were some pretty well built moments throughout the rest of the game as well, Unfortunately, they were very few.

    Watch Dogs obviously *TRIED* to put more effort into the "open-world" theme with "tons" of side missions and collectibles. While I felt enthusiast at first and was keen to get to 100% completion, by the end of the first act (out of 5!) I started to grow tired of the side missions which are essentially all quite the same. Drive car from point X to Y, go kill some criminal gang or interfere a convoy. There was just way too much of it.
    And on top of it, driving control was quite awful - and while eventually I got used to it, and I admit - the police chases actually didn't get old for me for one second, there's no denying this was not the strong part of the game.

    A bit sad, because the final result is a game which feels like it's trying to be some Assassins Creed and GTA in one game instead of trying to be something new and original.

    And again, the game is *NOT BAD* and I ended up enjoying most of it, it was challenging just enough, not feeling impossible to complete, and at most of the missions there's some freedom to choose the 'stealthy' approach vs. the 'just kill everyone' approach, which I liked.

    Bottom line is - With its current content, I feel this game would have been better if it was more story-driven and had a more-than-solid 10-15 hours campaign, instead of ~40-80 hours filled of the same stuff over and over.
    Would have given 7 out of 10, but I really feel this game certainly doesn't deserve the low users' score it currently has. +1 for that!    … Expand

    Gameplay and story is lacklustre. However, the interpretation of Chicago is gorgeous and it is fun to just wander around and appreciate the architecture.

Можно в пулемётом на перевес бежать сломя голову, можно краться с глушителем или взламывать камеры. Открытый мир открыт, есть что делать, правда нет вменяемых сайд квестов, зато есть утомительные и однообразные миссии от устранителей. DLC 0 из 0… Expand

    The gameplay seemed inovative and fun on the trailers, but it turned out boring and repetive.
    Worst of all was the preformance. This game had AWFUL performance on ANY PC! I tried it on my decent laptop, on my high end PC (at the time) and even on the PS4! It would stagger constantly and crash    Even over 5 years of buying this game, this is the most disapointing game I've ever bought.

    This isn't perfect but it is far away from what many say. The game play mechanics can be repetitive and the police system isn't great but the shooting and driving are solid and the stealth is fun and every stealth situation will be vastly different due to the hacking.     The story though, that's what i find amazing. Aiden isn't the best character and does have a kinda generic goal of revenge but the side characters, execution, the philosophical questions it explores, side plots and ways Aiden gets to his goal are really really good and some of the best i personally have seen. Even with criticisms of Aiden, i still think he can be at times a very good protagonist. Side characters and villains like lucky Quinn, T-bone, Maurice, Clara, Damien are all really good characters and have a story to tell and a vivid personality.
    I seriously can't explain how good the story in this game is (especially the climax), you just need to play though it yourself.
    The bugs were inexcusable at launch but now i find there are very few bugs, none of which are game breaking just. i might be lucky but it's now solid and stable.
    The online has some really interesting aspects but they aren't amazingly executed, the main online game mode is online invasions which involve randomly invading another players single player game and trying to steal their data which is fun when you want it but when you are busy and some player joins and you have to completely shift your focus; it gets very frustrating.
    My second favourite part of this game second to the story is the atmosphere and world. The city is divided into clear areas with vivid personalities, stories and communities. The wards is my favourite but there is honestly a huge amount of detail in the separate areas and its paid off as the areas seep with environment and make a great city to explore.
    There's a lot more to this game but you've probably heard it before. I just wanted to shine a light on the stunningly amazing story which for me makes up for the not so amazing other aspects.
    I honestly feel that for £4 in 2019, it is an amazing game and you will not regret buying it.

    Story: you play as edge lord supreme aiden pierce whos good at killing people some how and has batman like success. but because he is bad at hiding his identity his family gets in trouble and even killed so hes angry. unfortunately the story makes little sense rather than making it a straight revenge tale it mixes that with a conspiracy and although this definitively made the world itself more interesting the main story suffers hard because of it because of a lack of focus. characters are dull as hell with the exception of 1 or 2 but adrian is not an interesting character.
    Story: 4/10

    Worldbuilding: I am a sucker for a good world and the best thing to come out of watch dogs is definitively its criminal underworld of fixers cleaners and hackers . some even get famous and a militaristic type organization runs the city and is the nightmares of any conspiracy theorist. its a wonderfully violent world that has a multitude of potential. the foundation laid in this first game is really good but its definitively under utilized. hope for when i play the sequel though.

    Graphics: the graphics were not as good as the trailers and thats what most people hated about this game , hell the graphics are not even that great. launch was even worst some how , witch i was only able to read about cause i picked this game up 4 years later. they are good enough that the games playable and i guess thats all it needs to be now. to much bloom. character models are hit and miss , animations are decent at best , clunky at worst.
    Graphics: 4.5/10

    Gameplay: gameplay had a lot of potential with the hacking mechanic and i do think a lot of it was well done even if some opportunity were missed, hacking the street lights and blockers was fun , and car physics was good enough that car chases were a lot of fun. unless it was the cops , the cops were way to hard to escape from. not impossible but difficult. gun play could have been better but it was fun enough that combat encounters were fun and combat had some strategy to it. most locations seem to have 1 or 2 paths , the sneaky path or the straight up guns blazing path and many don't deviate from that , story missions seem, to have 1 path only sometimes would have liked to see a better variety. there is a VERY GOOD variety of guns , and i think in modern games this should be a standard. each gun behaves differently even if its slightly and subtle. the guns aren't perfect but the variety makes up for a lot of the weapons short comings. i think the best animations in this game are the executions witch to that i say SUCH sakuga( google it) . this games really not well optimized for PC , mine stuttered a lot and froze multiple times. game play was a doozey and thats because there was alot too it

    Sound design: acting was cheesy and too serious. i think its upcoming installment watchdogs legions has the tone set perfectly having a player character die but then also be an old British lady who takes the bus to go commit "terrorist" activity's. thats the tone i wanna see a game thats not afraid to laugh at it self and its self seriousness this game has is pretty annoying. the music chose was really good , i liked how you can chose your music from your playlist not just a radio like in gta , it makes a little more sense in the more modern setting and the music chosen is so varied that it kinda makes me relate to aiden a little bit , it reminded me alot of my own playlist for my car, and i even added some songs from this game to it cause i liked the music.

    The game isn't bad, but it isn't good either. It lacks identity, the only thing, that Watch Dogs has that is original is the hacking stuff... and yeah it was fun, but the game is really boring. Like, I finished it few months ago and I can't recall almost anything from it... the game is just average. Heard the sequel is better, gonna play it in 2022 when I'll have time. Pickens yawns.

    I don't think this game is worth 30/50 euros (depending on edition) but I would definitely recommend getting it on sale. There's a lot of ways to complete your missions, you can either go head-on or do it the stealthy way and all of the gadgets makes it even more fun.    … Expand

    Ubi's marketing team hit a grand slam with this release. They tantalized us with impossibly-awesome trailers, then delayed the game for a year. The promises of graphics, depth, and the innovative idea of a free roam game with the ability to hack everything left the consumers drooling at the potential of limitless possibilities. After a year of waiting that left gamers tossing in their beds and squirming in their chairs, Ubi releases.....this.....this gimmicky, average, unfinished, simulacrum of what we expected.

    Well played, Ubi.

    Per EVERY F**ING VIDEO GAME AND MOVIE PLOT -EVER-....the point is our hero's (?) loved one is killed/captured, and now you're on a murderous rampage of vengence/rescue. Yaaaaawn. It's hard to pull for the hero when the game opens with him committing digital grand theft.

    While the voice acting is on par, the characters are so goddamn BORING. Tyrone "Bed Bug" and Jordi were likable, but get crowded out by the interchangeable good-ol-American, brown haired, white skinned, raspy-voiced, single minded vigilante.

    And just what did we get after all the hype and potential of being a hacker? A ranged, context-sensitive action button. Really. Instead of walking up to a door and pushing "open", I push "hack" from a distance. Ground breaking sh** we got goin here. Nothing you can hack is remarkable either. You can hack a few things to stop traffic, make explosions, or set off frags your enemies hold.

    Even if you DO make good hacks, the A.I. is the most un f**ing fun A.I. design I've ever seen. The police A.I. in particular is.....WTF UBI?? They are super over powered, almost impossible to shake off, and any random thing can "sick" them on you. Example: You're sitting on a bench, a bad guy walks by you, goes OMG PLAYER CHARACTER, then runs away shooting at you. The police show up, triangulate your exact location, then spray rifle fire at you, then call in back up so your screen is swarming with them. Example 2: You get a mission to stealth into a enemy-ridden area, you can't get caught/sound an alarm, OR kill the target. They must be MELEE KO'd, right? So you try to use that hack (you know, the whole f**ing selling point of the game) and you hack a guy's grenade, he throws it at the target, kills him, and you fail the mission. Example 3: if the police are p**ing you off, just run to a boat, drive away, and you'll fully lose aggro. If you're the hacker good-guy, why can't you use some strats to bring the police and direct them at the bad guys? So, so, so much wasted potential.

    And the driving.....JESUS HAVE MERCY, THIS DRIVING ABSOLUTELY SUCKS!! It's hard enough to control, but as you gain speed, your frames go down, so you're controlling a slippery dump truck with flip-book visuals. This game is a mess!

    What little it does get right is nothing you haven't seen a billion million gazillion times before. It seems that -tragically- all video games can offer us is more shooters with a gimmick here or there and slightly better/worse controls and/or optimization. WD baaarely stands above average with its hack gimmick and a few exciting moments.

    Perhaps most unforgivable of all is missions that have exciting build up or some remote form of tension have the most generic, unsatisfying endings. Par for the usual open-world tropes, you climb a tower, follow the dot on your map, kill everyone, then run from the police until a floating text goes "GJ! YOU DID THE SAME MISSION...BUT OVER THERE THIS TIME!" While that could be passable for most side missions, more dramatic missions like breaking up a human trafficking ring should have been faaaaar more satisfying than "GJ! YOU DID A DIFFERENT MISSION!" I couldn't even get a 15s cutscene of the police cracking it wide open and escorting the girls to their families or something? ANYTHING??

    The other one I can't forgive is when you bust the badass hacker Dfault (spelling). He's built up in the dialogue to be some mysterious, world-class hacker, enough to give Aiden a rival. He out hacks your team, and you have to go chase him personally. He hacks around you, plays weird mind games, I admit, it was exciting, but it ended like every other mission: hold W+Shift, and smash M2 until you catch him.......aaand end of mission. WTF?!?! WHO IS DFAULT? WHY DID HE HACK YOU? WHO IS HE WORKING FOR? HOW DID HE FIND THE HEROS?? This is like if Star Wars 4 5 and 6 ended with someone nonchalantly shooting Darth Vadar with a laser gun and CREDITS.

    If you can find it for 20ish bucks, you can run thru it, and never play it again. It has its moments and the combat CAN be satisfying, but after what Ubi did to us here and the trend of it (google e3 graphics vs real game graphics) this s** needs to stop. With all the ppl swearing off Ubi and their investors jumping the shark, how are they still getting so much money....?

    That being said, I overall liked the game. Hacking was a nice add-on to a GTA-esque style gameplay. The world felt alive due to your ability to hack people to overhear about their personal lives, and the driving aspect was OK. I loved Aiden's style also. That coat is cool! I played the game last year (2017) with graphical mods so I propably had a little better experience on technological wise than the gamers that played the game when it was released. Mouse is still terrible in this game, fortunately they fixed it for Watch Dogs 2.

    This game got trashed on its launch for a number of reasons. One of which was the 'downgraded visuals' from its e3 reveal in 2012. However, despair not because a plucky script kiddie 'The Worse' managed to tap into software graphical effects that were disabled by ubisoft at the last minute and re-enable them. So this is a must if you own the game look for the wose mod and install that.

    The story in watchdogs has excellent writing and I found the world very engaging with unique in world npc animations that warrant just taking a moment to enjoyy (street performers, work colleagues on a drunken night out etc) just little moments that make the city feel alive. Some great interior environments to explore all culminate to make you feel like the ultimate hi-tech 'fixer'. I kind of felt as if I was playing the ultimate splinter cell conviction idea of an ex cia operative working through a case. Highly entertaining stuff!

    The music tracks while excellent, repeat often so I found myself turning them off and supplying my own soundtrack (thanks good old media player). Alot of criticism was aimed at the hacking here which conversely I found to be intuitive and thoughtful especially following the lines of connection through a building - I mean its far frp, realistic but im holding a controller so not expecting more than that.

    Overall then an underrated experience that warrants a look in. Worse mode all the way!!!!    … Expand

But do not forget that each trailer is pre renderer and nothing can be done. I played only this year and it's pretty nice to play. though the dialogue is not brilliant, but not poor. Up to this point I like many believed this game, a pass or worse. But I was pleasantly surprised how the game was interesting and quite pleasant. Of the minuses can highlight the complete lack of songs on the radio, listening was nothing special and the selection of songs, very very bad, although the points in some missions with the ambient pleased. I would like to see more positive characters of the events, a bit of humor, and it turned out that the game is straight serious, even in side quests, especially not laugh. The developers have tried, the world looks alive, it has something to do, even just to go and to consider the surroundings were pleasant. As for the design, and all of the same game that I quite liked, it was nice to see a picture, and if the dialogue is in the trailer, then all that would've been sweet. All the time I was comparing the game with GTA V and quite often understood that looking dogs I prefer from a visual point of view, to recall gray and rich in GTA V (with SweetFx) the game is changing, but if you play vanilla version, all pale like that (always I was surprised) why I can made the picture brighter.In General, it was a pleasure to be in the game Chicago, hack everything you can with the help of mobile phones, artfully evade pursuit, blocking the way.

Но не будем забывать что каждый трейлер является пре рендером и тут ничего не поделаешь. Другое дело когда в итоге игра получается не настолько убога как была показана в трейлере, тогда и возмущения исходят на нет. Я поиграл лишь в этом году и мне вполне было приятно играть. хоть графон и не блистательный, но и не убогий. До этого момента я как и многие считал эту игру, проходной или того хуже. Но я был приятно удивлен насколько игра оказалась интересной и вполне приятной. Из минусов могу выделить, полное отсутствие песен по радио, слушать было особо нечего да и подборка песен, совсем уж неудачная, хотя моменты в некоторым миссиях с эмбиентом порадовали. Хотелось бы увидеть больше положительных персонажей событий, толику юмора, а то получилось так, что игра прям серьезная, даже в побочных заданиях особо не посмеешься. Разработчики постарались, мир выглядит живым, в нем есть чем заняться, даже просто покататься и по рассматривать окрестности оказалось приятным делом. Что касается дизайна, и все такого же графона, то мне вполне пришлось по душе, было приятно наблюдать картинку, а уж если бы графон как в трейлере, то вообще выла бы конфетка. Все время я сравнивал игру с GTA V и довольно часто понимал, что смотрящие псы мне больше нравятся с визуальной точки зрения, вспомнить хотя бы серую и не насыщенную GTA V (с SweetFx) игра преображается, но вот если играть в ванильную версию, то все как то блекло. В общем было приятно находится в игровом Чикаго, взламывать все что можно с помощью мобилы, искусно уходить от погони, преграждая пути.    … Expand

The pedestrians on trains and at train stations never get on or off. You can go to a bus stop and see them waiting for buses, even though there are none in the game. The side missions are quite fun, but the main campaign missions are just awful.

Графика по тем временам выглядела вполне достойно, но серость всё же давала о себе знать. Единственный плюс в этой игре - интересная история и сюжет, вот только процесс прохождения уныл и однообразен. Практически все миссии - это лазь по камерам/взломай/иди куда-то по стелсу. Именно поэтому прохождение далось очень тяжко, чем дальше, тем больше тошнило от этих миссий. Впечатлило также взаимодействие с миром на примере светофоров, подрыва канализаций и прочего. Но эффектные аварии тоже очень быстро надоели. Ну хоть вторая часть стала лучше.    … Expand

    The big thing other reviewers are getting upset at are the graphics. This is a fair criticism as the game is not what was advertised at E3 and despite the downgrades, the game still runs fairly poorly.

    Overall its a fun game for people that enjoy open world, but it is a bumpy ride that won't be worth it for everyone.    … Expand

    Лучшее и самое реалистичное управление автомобилем во всех песочницах после гта 4. То, от чего я сгорал в гта тут было на высоком уровне, езда от 1го лица - сплошное удовольствие. В игре, в отличии от гта, когда руль повёрнут направо - машина поворачивает направо (невозможный прорыв для игр)

    Сюжет и миссии
    В нём есть один минус: главный герой не привлекает игрока, под конец начинаешь даже сопереживать ему, но он не цепляет. ИГРА РАЗГОНЯЕТСЯ МЕДЛЕННО, НО ОНА РАЗГОНЯЕТСЯ. Также под конец (несмотря на чекпоинты) миссии дают челлендж, иногда приходится припотеть, чего в той же гта не было.

    Айфон 5s действительно делает геймплей непохожим на своих конкурентов (в остальном отличий нет), но мне не хватало воздушного транспорта и какого-никакого подобия догфайта в небе

    Великолепная игра, не знаю зачем многие разнылись из-за даунгрейда графики, которая всё также великолепна. В любом случае, не будь его - игра бы просто не пошла у большинства людей. Проблема в ней явная такова - она вряд ли заставит вас вернуться, чтобы перепройти, поэтому..

    I was looking forward to Watch Dogs 2 and then they F*cked it up by a trashy hip hop character.     The game starts off well enough – the protagonist, Aiden Pearce, is confronting the man who caused a car accident that ultimately killed his niece. It was a hit on Pearce in revenge for Pearce doing a job at the Merlaut hotel, where he walked in and hacked into the system along with his partner, the shady Maurice. After beating up the man in search of the men who sent him on the job, Aiden still doesn’t get the answer he wants. He is forced to sneak out of the stadium and create a distraction while his new partner, Jordi, smuggles the man out.

    Aiden is forced to cause a blackout, turning out the lights in the stadium and creating distractions so he can get past the cops unseen. When he gets out, the police chase him in an exciting car chase, and after Aiden finally escapes, he goes back to his hotel to talk with a mysterious hacker who might be able to get him some more information.

    This sequence is really great and does a great job of selling the game to the audience – we see a number of characters, we get a revenge plot going, we have a central mystery to solve (both who ordered the hit on Pearce, and why), we see the comedy relief in the form of Jordi, and we see… okay, Pearce himself sucks, but whatever. How can all of this not come together into something awesome?

    Ubisoft found a way.

    The trouble, in the end, is that the game is very scattered. The central premise of the game is that you are a reformed “fixer”, a hacker/thug, but a great deal of what you do in the game is not only blatantly criminal, but the main sidequests are taking out hits on other people and stealing information. For a supposed vigilante, you’re pretty much just blatantly a criminal, possibly even worse than the people you’re facing off with given your body count and reckless use of various military grade weapons, including the game-breaking grenade launcher that one-shots almost all enemies and vehicles.

    The phone spying only rarely really ends up mattering – while looking at people’s private lives seems cool, in the end it is just random stuff that pops up and frankly has little weight after a while. I just started tuning it out by the end of the game, and while some of the ideas – like sending people distracting text messages or phone calls based on the snippets of their personal lives – was neat, there was very little of it that was actually used directly in the plot.

    Indeed, for an uber-hacker, you really just feel like a thug with a gun and a magic smart phone that various real hackers soup up for you – which would be fine if the game actually called you out for that, but it really doesn’t do much to do so.

    About three quarters of the scattered plot is driven by Pearce himself being blackmailed rather than Pearce’s own quest for revenge. The identity of the people behind the hit ends up being a letdown – built up to be a scary organization that cannot be beaten, you instead find out you’ve been fighting (and handily beating them) the whole game. And for a game about hacking, the game seems to focus an awful lot on shootouts with people, with only the odd bit where you guide someone to safety through cameras – a neat idea that only gets used a few times, and feels much more cerebral than just mowing people down with your grenade launcher and sniper rifle. Most of the time it is easier to just kill the bad guys than use stealth, which feels wrong in a game about a sneaky hacker, and in the end, the hacking mechanic feels more like a gimmick stuck into a cover-based shooter than the central aspect of the game.

    The only thing that the game really does well is the multiplayer. While several of the modes are not so great, there are two modes – tailing and hacking – which are really amazing. The reason why? These modes are fully integrated into normal gameplay. According to the game, you have “fixers” out after you – people trying to hack you, steal your data, and identify you. But the brilliant part is that this is *other players*, who from their point of view, are going after bad guy “fixers” on behalf of the citizenry. You have no idea whether or not someone is after you – your first and only warning of being hacked is that you’re told that someone is hacking you, and you need to track them down within a location. You’re never even told that you’re being tailed – unless you notice someone following you around and looking suspicious, you’ll have no idea that you’re being tailed. It creates a real sense of paranoia.

    Sadly, the rest of the game isn't so brilliant. In the end, it is a mediocre cover-based shooter.    … Expand

Verso la fine si scoprono intrecci, si conoscono nuovi personaggi (T-Bone su tutti) che riescono a fare apprezzare di piú il tutto. Ha sicuramente dei difetti, tra cui alcune incongruenze che lasciano un po' perplesso il giocatore , e sembra mancare di "fondamenta", cioé non si riesce bene a capire il perché Aiden (il protagonista) stia facendo tutto questo casino per la nipote. Andando avanti col gioco peró impariamo a conoscere meglio il personaggio e chi gli sta intorno e capiamo che Aiden non é normale, é una persona paranoica, che conosce gente strana e pazza come Jordi e Damien. Aiden stesso é un hacker che hackera tutto ció che gli capita sotto mano rubando soldi alla gente e perfino alle banche, facendo scherzi telefonici anche macabri e scurrili, oppure infiltrandosi all'interno delle case delle persone per spiarle e derubarle. Ció che il gioco fa male é rendere chiaro al giocatore che stiamo controllando un pazzo circandato da pazzi, secondo me. Al di lá di questo comunque il gioco, su PC , é ottimizzato molto male. Per poterlo fare andare decentemente e per potere usare la vera grafica per PC occorre modificare un file .ini nei documenti , se non si fa questo il gioco ha questi problemi: mouse lag severissimo, mouse acceleration, texture e qualitá grafica generale identica a quella di One/PS4 (che su PC rende veramente male), fov bassissimo. Modificando il file si puó ovviare a tutti questi problemi, anche se rimane in generale un leggero stuttering (non rovina l'esperienza di gioco). Una volta risolti questi problemi comunque graficamente é un titolo valido. La colonna sonora é molto buona. La capacitá di hackerare praticamente ogni cosa non annoia mai ed é sempre divertente. Gli inseguimenti sono senza armi , si puó solo hackerare la cittá per poter seminare i nemici, il che li rende abbastanza piú difficili che su GTA. Dialoghi scritti abbastanza bene, scene anche molto fighe a volte. Longevitá buona. Nel complesso un bel gioco, rovinato da alcuni difetti che si potevano tranquillamente evitare con un po' piú di chiarezza da parte degli sviluppatori, meno downgrade grafici e un porting diverso su PC.     Este juego es una mierda por donde se lo mire. Gráficamente es una basura. En rendimiento es una basura. La inteligencia artificial es una basura. Está lleno de bugs y de detalles absolutamente nada cuidados. La historia es una basura y los personajes (menos T-BONE, el amigo de T-BONE, y Jordi) son una basura.

    Lo único que disfruté de este juego, fue su dlc de T-BONE.

Driving feels like youre comandeering a boat no matter its a minivan or a super car. Shooting feels unsatisfying and stealth gameplay is pretty bare bones, enemy AI have no traces of intelligence also. Overall theres huge lack of detail in world interaction with wonky physics and stuff.

The gameplay is fun though, graphics are really nice if we add that modder's graphic pack (I really can't remember the name right now). I was really hyped about this game, W.D. had such a wonderful potential, but Ubisoft didn't take full advance fromI find it unbearable that, at E3, the developers presented a game but when the product was on sale, there is a less delivered graphic thing. The gameplay is fun though, graphics are really nice if we add that modder's graphic pack (I really can't remember the name right now).     It promised amazing graphics and a deep open world, this is never achieved, but the 18 hour campaign featured here is one of the best open world campaigns I’ve played in a while..
    Watch Dogs is a 3r5d person open world shooter game with a dash of puzzle…
    You play as Aiden Pierce trying to get to the bottom of his Nieces murder…
    The story telling in Watch Dogs is great… Especially when your focus changes from your niece to someone else that I won’t mention to prevent spoilers, but I feel like the transition was perfect due to that connection… it makes you care... it keeps you pushing forward… but at the same time you’re still going after everyone involved in the initial hit…
    And again the writing and introduction to each character in the story is so great that you’ll either really love or really hate someone… you feel pierces emotion personally which creates a great deal of immersion in this story..
    To get information on locations you have to hack into buildings and severs…
    And there’s freedom in the way you can approach this…
    Watch Dogs works great as a 3rd person shooter with an intuitive cover system… an easy to access weapons wheel, tons of weapon variety, a great amount of ammo and crafting parts for bombs… a great stealth system to silently take enemies down or take them out with a silenced pistol…
    Or you can hack cameras and explosives…
    I personally had the most fun jumping from camera to camera, waiting for opportunities to explode fuse boxes, trigger alarms for a takedown set up… activating the grenades inside of enemy pockets…
    Many times during the story I didn’t have to fire a single bullet to get everything I came for..
    I hopped from camera to camera hacked into the system and left…
    Hacking here is very simple and comes down to a pipe type puzzle of feeding a blue line into other pieces and unlocking them. And these sections are the only mandatory hacking sections as again you can just play as a third person shooter if you’d like…
    Outside of the 18 hour campaign though is the open world of Chicago and unfortunately the open world is the weakest aspect in the entire game…
    Think of this more as a hub world to extend play time by spreading out mission locations, because ubisoft took 0 note in crafting this open world as it has issues in its open world I haven’t ran into since the PlayStation 2….
    Cars will disappear from where you left them if you run into a building to start a mission and come back out…
    During chases you have to ram cars to stop them or hack the world around you... which is actually a great deal of fun during intense chases, to blow up streets, raise bridges and road blocks while youre chasing or being chased by the police…
    But you cant shoot out of your window to shoot out tires despite enemies being able to shoot while driving…
    Another annoyance with these chase missions is that if you do get the person youre chasing stuck, you cant just pull them out of the vehicle theyre in… the only way to continue is shoot them through the window or get back into your car and ram them until they get out…
    This isn’t too annoying in story, but is highly annoying in online play when you have a random player trying to hack you…
    You can turn this feature off, but anyone at any time can enter your world and you can do the same entering there’s for rep, or co-op and competitive fun like races…
    But again these are real people... not ai controlled enemies, so trying to get a head shot on someone in a vehicles is much harder to do in this instance…
    And then theres hacking npcs to profile them…. To stop crimes from happening before they happen... I personally didn’t enjoy this aspect at all, I found it to be shallow filler and had no interest in doing random chases as again the campaign created such a great deal of urgency that it created tunnel vision for me…
    While Wacth_Dogs didn’t deliver the ground breaking experience it promised.. If you can look past those promises for what it actually is, it’s a great game with a great story.

I picked this game up again thinking that MAYBE they fixed my 4 dozen gripes that I told them about on Twitter, and it is still the buggiest pile of ass in the world. I am only giving it a 3 (Now a 1, see edit) because the stealth and hacking are ""okay"". . . .EDIT: So I started playing, AGAIN (Third time is the charm?), and maybe I forgot how bad it was, but nope. It got worse. Basically, it is now possible to get SHOT by a BAD GUY in the MIDDLE OF THE STREET, and now the CIVILIANS will NOT call the police on the BAD GUY, but instead on YOU for GETTING SHOT.     i dont know why people hated this game, its true ubisoft downgraded the graphic of this game (its very different from e3 demo trailer 2012). But, i must say the storyline and gameplay is quite good, not to mention watchdogs is also the first to introduce open world game that focused on the hacker or hacking. yes this game has flaws, but i think is too extreme to give this game negativei dont know why people hated this game, its true ubisoft downgraded the graphic of this game (its very different from e3 demo trailer 2012).     bad optimisation for pc, game runs badly even on massively overpowered systems that should run it easily. Bad pc keyboard and mouse, the mouse acceleration is terrible and no way to turn it off. I had to play with a controller, but I shouldnt have bothered. Within a couple of hours this game goes from a smart idea to a purile, racist, lame world full of jokes and scummy people that maybad optimisation for pc, game runs badly even on massively overpowered systems that should run it easily.     Despite all the bad reviews I actually enjoyed the game, the story was great. Yes its not optimized wary well but I was still able to run it on high with about 60 fps with my 770. Assassin’s creed 4 was far worse. And I agree Ubisoft needs to focus more on optimisation WAY MORE. But still I think this game was great and it defiantly does not deserve a 0.

    This is average game . This game have awesome storyline , good gameplay , but bad graphics for 2014 . Good main character Aden Pirce . Aden Pirce is Smart Hacker . Aden Pirce can break open phone , pipes , traffic lights and many different things .

    Finished the game in 2016. Seeing that in 2014 technical issues caused mayhem amongst reviewers and my review for 2016 (which plays without problem) goes like:
    1. Story is passable, plays a bit repetitive, other than that, it is really ok, good ideas on sci-fi side but not much on the action side.

    4. Shooting is not bad but gives you a hard time unless you unlock some skills.
    A nice game overwhelmed by technical issues in the past but you can play it without hesitation now.    … Expand

    The game is good, graphics are ok, I liked the story and the abilities of hacks, but driving is really bad in all vehicles, shooting is not bad too, so generally it's not bad

    Great game, I have no idea why people say bad things about it.
    I didnt experience any performance isuess, and bugs that deny me gameplay.
    The story is average, but gameplay is very good, when following the story it dont get boring.
    I had a lot of fun completing this game, maybe I will take another playthrou when I get bored.

    Ultra graphics / Ultra textures / 1080p / 144hz / Gtx 960 / i5 4460. Plays at 40-60fps without any issue , i dont get stutter , the story is decent , graphics are actually good at ultra. Love it :3

    Ubisoft's flagship title has a really, really repulsive protagonist. The entire storyline feels like it was cranked out of a automated story generator. On the positive side, Watch Dogs looks really good on PC, especially after modding the graphics to match the visual splendor of the early E3 demos. [Aug 2014]

    Nothing could have realistically lived up to the immense level of hype that Ubisoft stirred up for this game, and while I value strong narratives and envelope-pushing technological advancements, I place just as much importance in the ability to enjoy the gameplay that's being offered to me. Watch Dogs is one of the more exciting sandbox games of the last few years, and if this is to become Ubisoft's next big franchise, I'm excited to see where they take it.
