    The models are actually fine, I'm not mad at the Malaysian company that made them. What makes Reforged a bad game is that it is predicated on lies to the fans. It has severe connection issues that cause desyncs the majority of your matches. It broke custom games, removed tons of features from Classic, and is so full of bugs the campaign is hardly playable. Units become unresponsive,The models are actually fine, I'm not mad at the Malaysian company that made them. What makes Reforged a bad game is that it is predicated on lies to the fans. It has severe connection issues that cause desyncs the majority of your matches. It broke custom games, removed tons of features from Classic, and is so full of bugs the campaign is hardly playable. Units become unresponsive, textures wonk out, and certain triggers don't fire for no reason other than failed programming. That is before we mention the massive lag, even offline, on a relatively ugly-to-basic game for 2020, because of the terrible optimization.

    I would definitely recommend you play Classic, however. WC3 is one of the best games of all ti- wait, what's that? Since Reforged released the cut content is also missing from the original client? Players who've played since 2002 are now experiencing lag, desyncs, and bugs? Oh, right, because Blizz decided to BREAK Classic, probably in an attempt to get more sales for Reforged. So, yea, they ruined WC3 to release a worse version of WC3, which I can only hope gets patched soon.

    The best part of WC3 was the custom maps players could make, but don't expect much from that either because of the new EULA that claims all of your creations made with the World Editor as Blizzard's. **** you and your creativity. That's what Blizzard thinks, but they won't say it because of PR, but seriously they hate the players and creators who made Warcraft what it was.    … Expand

    Such a dissapointment, they created problems for one of my favourite games that's 14+ years old it's a massive downgrade. Unforgivable, plus the 'new' reforged is literally an asset swap of models created by another company with more problems added. False advertising, no improved ui, no new cutscenes... List goes on

    Didn't even buy the game and it damaged the screen of my Mac. Also didn't fix any of the bugs on the original and had to remove it to stop spreading more damage. Makes me so sad to say this but this is officially my last straw with blizzard

    Hero dialogues in Mandarin Chinese are full of bugs. Sometimes words are random and overlapping and make funny nonsense jokes translated into English like Mal'ganis says I don't want a dick and Jaina calls Thrall a dumbass.
    I felt like my childhood best game is ruined thanks to Reforge. Zero points must be given.

    Yes they have **** up with the community. Yes this game is far from what they told us it would be. But this game itself doesn't deserve so much critics.
    The team that has worked on the project was reduced and they did their best to manage something correct and actually it is correct game and the campaign story is still thrilling for those who doesn't know it.

    There are several major features outright removed in Reforged or simply not functioning because it’s in a buggy state including player profiles, ladder system and custom campaigns. The updated EULA also discourages map makers and modders to participate in making content for Reforged. The map textures are horrendous compared to the original game, the models are on par with Raid: Shadowlegends, this does not in any way feel like a homage to legendary classic Warcraft 3. Rather it feels like a slap in the face to Warcraft fans.

    If they didn’t ruin the original version of the game by merging the old client with this bug infested one, many people would not be complaining as much or refunding. I wouldn’t be complaining if they didn’t touch the original WC3 client. The issue is that they took out features from the original, released an unfinished product and downgraded classic WC3. Not even Bethesda was foolhardy enough to tamper with the original Skyrim when they released the special edition.

    This is an unmitigated disaster of a game, the developer "update" shows only the incompetency of the dev team leading this project further into the gutter. Rather than adding back basic features, fixing cutscenes and restoring the original client of WC3 they have doubled down on their justification for this mess of a game. I will no longer be supporting Blizzard games due to this disaster, you've ruined the game I enjoyed for most of my childhood. Reflect on what made the original WC3 a 9.2 user score and 92/100 critic score and how you've ended up as the worst rated game in history.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This is an absolutely an amazing nostalgia trip for me, unlike WoW classic which immediately bored the crap out of me after 5 minutes.

    Music is improved, visuals, cinematics, etc. This is exactly what I expected and it was delivered.

    On the 3rd missions in the campaign and already addicted just as I was when the game originally released. You know you have another gem when you can't turn off the game even after mythic/LFR Ny'alotha come out on the same day! Way to go Blizz!!!! Now all we can hope for is Warcraft 4 and a great new storyline. I CANNOT wait to get to the frozen throne expansion already!!!!! Almost 70 missions of single player content and can't wait to try some multiplayer after I'm done with the campaign. This is awesome. NO ONE does RTS like Blizzard.    … Expand

    First time ever bothered to write down a score for a video-game, this game went to far on broken promises, could not wait to play it again with new cut scenes and remade cinematic, plus they removed the best stuff what made Warcraft 3 and the Frozen Throne as a great game. Keep the money Activision-Blizzard if that is the most you care, but this review will stay here forever.

    This remaster can be as awful as it wants to be, and make no mistake it is awful - but breaking the original version of the game alongside is not acceptable... and is heartbreaking.

    That said, I cannot play custom games due to the consistent desync bug. There is absolutely no point in trying to play this game.
    I'm very upset with the lack of attention and care to this ex-beloved game.

    Perfect example of how a company's greed can ruin a beloved classic. Blizzard missed the mark completely with this one, and broke numerous promises they made in promotional materials and at conventions. Save your money for now, and hopefully at some point Blizzard will update this game to a point where it even comes close to delivering on what was promised.

    Was happily playing TFT over LAN with my kids on my Surface Pro at home. Never bought the Reforged version. But I can no longer do that because when I start my TFT it tries to download the new Reforged client and my surface pro run out of disk space. The original TFT client is only 2 GB and I bought them for $99 over a decade ago. I know is it a long time but it does not mean BlizzardWas happily playing TFT over LAN with my kids on my Surface Pro at home. Never bought the Reforged version. But I can no longer do that because when I start my TFT it tries to download the new Reforged client and my surface pro run out of disk space. The rest of the changes are basically downgrades from the 17 year old game and they didn't improve a single bad aspect of the original.     Now this is just a simple graphic overhaul. Indeed models look better then in the 2002 game, yet they still very outdated. There are also some new missions, though they are quite uninspiring, and playing them becomes a chore.     I agree with several comments that I wish I could have paid them to not release the game because what we have is a worse version than that which I had 17 years ago. It's a sad day made sadder by their pathetic non-apology, going as far as somehow 'blaming' the gamers for why they haven't made the changes they showed us at E3 2018.

Game developers take note: If you want to remake a classic game, but then deliver a version that not only lacks many of the features that justified a remake in the first place, but also prevents players from playing the original version of the game that they already own...     This game is a sad excuse for a money grab from Activision. I use this word only to describe how awful this is to blizzard. Activisions rape of the idea blizzard stood for. Its literally designed for fans to make games for free for activision and steal the credit. Avoid at all costs!

    Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne & Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos
    Was a masterpiece. But Reforged is a slap in your face.

    Blizzard just do the same like they do since 10 Years; money is all and quality is not worth anything.
    They destroyed Call of Duty, and they will do this also with WarCraft and other games.

    Just get a refund and stick to the original game and the Frozen Throne expansion with full HD or 4k+ resolution and the game still shines almost 20 years later.

    Game doesn’t even come close to what they promised on blizzcon 2018, they promised almost a new game, with tons of added cinematics and fully upgraded graphics but actually it’s just a bunch revamped character models, I barely see any difference between old 2002 and the new reforged terrain, new models become awkward sitting on top of the old 2002 graphics, it feels like just a half-done…Game doesn’t even come close to what they promised on blizzcon 2018, they promised almost a new game, with tons of added cinematics and fully upgraded graphics but actually it’s just a bunch revamped character models, I barely see any difference between old 2002 and the new reforged terrain, new models become awkward sitting on top of the old 2002 graphics, it feels like just a half-done… Expand… Expand

    I'm not giving my appreciation for the original game, but for the Reforged version only. Well it would be a nice free upgrade, but for that kind of money, it sucks quite a lot. Bugs, crash missing features and so on.

Paid, played half of the prologue mission (Graphics look like crap: thrall is a glorified simian, not an orc, besides they look terribly mobile-like), closed and refunded.

    Blizzard has addressed some of the complaints and criticism hurled its way, and has promised to work on many of these issues. Naturally, one must ask why the game was released in such a state, especially considering the negative attention the company has garnered over the past year with the reveal of Diablo Immortal and the Blizzard/China controversy.

    In the end it’s worth noting that when viewing a remake or remaster what needs to be taken into consideration is the source material, how it looks, feels, and plays. That is, in addition to the work carried out to recreate moments, update visuals, and change any of the presentation. To do otherwise would be silly, a terrible game with a wonderful remaster doesn’t warrant a high score. In the case of Warcraft III, the inverse to that is also true. So, what we end up with is something in-between. A classic reborn, in a package that doesn’t warrant all that much in the way of celebration.

    If you set your expectations a little lower, then Warcraft 3: Reforged is a game worth of your time and money. Sadly, for many of us out there, we were expecting a little more.
