    This game is awful. Why? Poor FPS in Main menu and bad Voice acting in Russian dub.Bad graphics and some models just bad.
    And yeah i paid for this "game" and yeah i did refunded this game. I bought it to play WarCraft 3 Original officially with friends and now i can't play maps such Naruto Castle Defence or arenas.     While some were skeptic about reforged, I don't think anyone was expecting Blizzard could ruin classic. An amazing accomplishment.

    The ONLY thing you needed to do is : 1. Prevent map hackers 2. System to prevent Team Killers to play with others 3. A proper ladder basically a copy of starcraft2 ladder. that is all we ever wanted. Nobody cares, ok nobody cares about your graphic designers new shoulder pads ...     I personally expected that Blizzard would make a sharp processing of the graphon from 2002-2004, all the more so as we all loved Warcraft. But no, they completely crap with their resources, gave them for revision to Lemon Sky Studios in Malaysia, and they also did not give all the best. It is simply unforgivable.     This is certainly a disaster of a remake, I can agree with that. But to be big babies and spam a score of 0 just goes to show how toxic the gaming community can be. I made an account just so I could show up and give this game an honest score.

    Are the graphics worth the money? The servers have been giving us 200 ping for no good reason. I don't understand why Blizzard wants old customers to pay full price for the product again. 5-15 dollars instead would be way more fair. And another thing... why oh why do some of these bugs even exist? The one that confuses me the most is the team color bug. How did that even happen? Yes, they patched that out, but before they did, the servers were giving us like 60 or less ping. Why break things while fixing stuff? The old Blizzard wouldn't have made mistakes like these, and it's easy to see why people are so angry. I honestly think the game has a lot of potential and it's fantastic that they have returned to the game and attempted to improve it.

    I thought I would rate this a 6 out of 10 with the lag, but the new lag is even worse than what we had before the update, and I was rating this 8 out of 10 with less lag... but they apparently patched out the less lag for no reason and since it's worse then its score is even worse. I value multiplayer experience highly when I look at real time strategy games and this game fails hard on the multiplayer end. I can't recommend it to anyone in its current state.    … Expand

    It's a great game far better than most RTS games I Have played. I used to play the original back in 03 and for a while was my daily game. I played on and off over the years since always end up going back just for nostalgia. Reforged isn't the original but it's still worth the 30 or so bucks compared to many of the refreshed games that have come out.

    I paid $60 for the deluxe package expecting the "re-imagined and high definition graphics" that it was advertised as, but it turned out to be (after the latest updates to the original game) identical apart from slightly higher DPI zoom. If it was $10-20 i think it would be more reasonable to be sold as a HD DLC but not as a $40-60 stand alone game.

    Ok, so there are a TON of idiots whining that this game is horrible because its not a 'completely new and different game'. This is absolutely IDIOTIC. The original game and its mechanics were so PERFECTLY balanced that this is EXACTLY what i wanted. Had they tried to change the game, i would have been enraged and demanded a refund. If you LOVED the original, JUST wanted a new UI and slickOk, so there are a TON of idiots whining that this game is horrible because its not a 'completely new and different game'.     Why, Senpai? I originally had this game for my PC 1998 when I was but a young lad. Now I can't even go back to compare or enjoy a nostalgia bomb. It's sad when a company as long living as Blizzard becomes the bad guy to its own audience.

If it were just for that, but no, they also killed the modding community, responsible for the success of the old game with games like DotA, Tower Defenses and other thousands of mods that people only bought the game to play them. They imposed intellectual property over any mod made using their platform, so they could milk more any players that is doing something to make the game better.. a Along with that, they removed some features from the old game and forced the old client to update to a “reforged lite” version of this, killing the joy from from those still playing the original Reign of Chaos and The Frozen thrne Collapse    … Expand

It didn't fulfill the expectation that they themselves set, the overall quality is lacking at the most generous, and the legal stranglehold they're trying to establish over anything in the vein of custom games is concerning at the absolute least. Avoid at all costs whether you're a returning player or a new initiate.

This new version has THE WORST matchmaking I have ever seen in a game; and with no levels or ranks, new players are consistently matched against pros and every match feels like a roll of the dice with no strategy or reaction mattering at all.     My score for this game is 0, allow me to give proper context as to why this scam of a "game" deserves so little in my eyes.

    Let's start with the game's nature: a remaster. If it was a remaster that's just the base game with revamped graphic, it'd be between 5 and 7 (depending on the graphic quality). Changes that enhance the game and changes that make the experience worse decide the    My score for this game is 0, allow me to give proper context as to why this scam of a "game" deserves so little in my eyes.

    Let's start with the game's nature: a remaster. If it was a remaster that's just the base game with revamped graphic, it'd be between 5 and 7 (depending on the graphic quality). Changes that enhance the game and changes that make the experience worse decide the rest...and, oh boy, this game has taken a turn for the worse.

    Pros are few and minor (like the graphics).

    Cons:

    -The graphics while being a huge improvement on the original are still dated compared to graphics from games from 2020 and 2019. They look more like the graphic quality that Heroes of the Storm has, rather than Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls or more recent games like Walcen (that came out just a month later from a much smaller studio).

    -The UI, has not received enough attention and many people would've liked it to be more optimized insted of being clutteredconfusing.

    -The animations. Having a release for PC with 30 FPS animations is unacceptable, especially since the new graphic (while dated still) allows to see how choppy some of the animations look.

    -Bugs, the game is still riddled with many bugs and Blizzard itself had to issue a statement on the forums that the game will receive more polish in the upcoming months...this is incredibly unacceptable since this game (even more since it's a remaster of a game that is almost 20yo) should've been functional (maybe with just some minor bugs) at day 1. I guess, we can't expect this level of quality anymore from AAA companies with billions on their hands.

    -Re-Used Units, some of the units have just been copy-pasted with minor changes. An example would be the model for the Male Death Knight which is clearly Arthas's model.

    -Less functionsmodes than the original, the original game had a plethora of modes that allowed it to shine, especially in multiplayer. Many of those modes were created by a dedicated community of modders who created lots of fun modes and maps (with the more prominent being the one that spawned what would become DOTA 2, starting the MOBA genre).

    -Incredible Restrictions over created content, with the inability to use 3rd party IP inspired assets which makes creating maps, mods and modes very limited being usable only the assets approved by Blizzard or assets who are completely unique created by the modders.

    And now, the 4 Most Unforgivable Cons that this game has, because being them part of the TOS or the behaviour of the company towards the players make them part of the overall experience with the game and its possessions, which are:

    - The Lies, for weeks Blizzard still had on this game's website, videos depicting the cutscene for Blizzcon 2018, depicting the beginning of the mission "The Culling of Stratholme", that was done in a completely different way to the final released product. This goes well with the intentional (until proven otherwise) lack of clarity of Blizzard about how much the game was downgraded compared to what was presented and what came to be expected back from that Blizzcon, until several days from the game's launch which was the usual - I'm paraphrasing - "We thought of making the game like the Blizzcon, then we decided to make the game the closest possible experience to the original" which was done by downgrading the cutscenes and downgrading other features that were better even in the original.

    -Customer Support, for days Blizzard kept denying customers the right to refund their games, even though they were from countries were the laws allowed them to have said refunds without clarifying what was that made them unable to get the refund in the first place. There were examples of an Australian player who played the game for bit and whose refund application was turned down because he had played the game for an unspecified amount of hours without the assistant checking his refund, at any point, disclosing what was the minimum amount of hours to get the refund.
    At the same time, others that purchased the games but didn't even play it were also denied refunds. In the meantime, players that were explaining the refund procedures to others were banned for no reason. This trend kept going until there were rumors of lawyers being involved from which, all of a sudden, everybody was able to get a refund. What a coincidence!

    -The treatment of modders in the game's initial agreement. I've never seen a contract claiming that every content you -modder- create in it is not only intellectually and automatically Blizzard's property to lucrate on it as much as they want to but also MORALLY theirs, which means you don't even get to be mentioned as to original creator besides not getting any compensation...just WOW!

    -Last but not least, the fact that these downgrades were unilaterally carried also into the original game. Never seen a bad remaster also ruin the original game, like no more shadows.    … Expand

Warcraft 3 is a beloved masterpiece that holds a special place in my heart. It's near and dear to me just like my copy of Diablo 2 because it was made by a different company than Activision/Blizzard.     Good job destroying a fan favorite, with no way to have a refund. Plus giving false promise and taking away the will to create on your game by taking the right on every single custom game made. Blizzard used to be my favorite game developer, now they make me sick. F what they have become. They deserved every hate coming their way. Blizzard is dead.

    A 17 year old game was taken and butchered and we can't even go back to the way things were. I was looking forward to a remake for so many years but this is by far one of the biggest let downs in gaming. Also Blizzard's response has been disgusting and is largely the reason for a 0 rating.

    This game is broken, waste 20 minutes making an army and expansion, just about to attack, *game freezes, disconnected to score screen.* You just have to hope and pray that whatever VS. match or custom game you are in doesn't randomly desync and disconnect you midmatch.     There were a lot of bugs that I cannot even recognize the nostalgia experience from the original Warcraft 3 anymore. The fact that I can't even play the original Warcraft 3 on battle net made it even worse.
    Forget about storming area 51, lets raid Blizzard instead.

    New graphic style is so bad and it completely goes away from the style that made warcraft so unique. I am long time fan, i played from warcraft 1 so its over 20 years of experience. Really dissapointed. Blizzard you have only become memory of something that was nice.

    no ladder, very little remaining of the blizzcon announcements, buggy (I suppose that's to be expected these days). The new artwork/style isn't really working for me personally either. All and all very disappointing.

    Reforged… 'Stripped yet somehow updated' is more like it.

    Warcraft 3 is a classic. One of the greatest game from it's time , and is still one of the most unique and best RTS games.
    Having a great campaign and filled with character, where just the menu screen makes your feel one with the universe.

    The remastered may haven given the game a better paint job than before,
    but several places it feels rushed. It has a cleaner look, but the price was the heart, and there has been no improvements in areas such as watching replays, looking through data.
    Even enabling ways to watch your fps, ping, apm and mmr, you need to use message commands. Why no toggable option in the option menu?
    When a game gets remasted the goal should be, to enchance the experience, make the game easier to play on current platforms, and generally just make the game match up with the current decade.

    Singleplayer is gone, multiplayer is filled with high ping (average 200, having games above 420 ping). Bugs everywhere. Hard to sometimes to just play the game.

    The core game is still great. Gameplay is great, story is great, if you haven't played the campaign, do yourself the favor of doing it.
    But nearly everything that has been "reforged" has been an downgrade from the orignal with less features than before.

    The current dream is they patch the game to somehow make the game as good as it was in 2003 (Frozen Throne), but Blizzard history with their prior remasted game SC:BW indicates that features shown and promised in the beginning keeps on getting delayed.
    I have no longer any trust in Blizzard, as everything they do seems to do more damage than good. Descriping faults, we can keep going on forever. This is worse than the original. Only good think is a spike of a new playerbase, as I am one of them, and I am currently trying to learn the game. Just sad that game then have so high ping. Queue times are short, but if the price is 400 ping, then I rather not play at all.    … Expand

    And thank God I never paid a single cent, because this hame is almost as much of a fail if not equally bad as the notorious game release of No Man's Sky. They have merged warcraft 3 with warcraft 3 regorged and if you dont upgrade to reforged the game feels broken. UI, game mechanics just dont work properly.     How could a game get worse.. Blizzard REMOVED features from the original to push people into buying Reforged.. my original copy of Warcraft III is now trash.

    Warcraft III was the first game I played. I wanted to get back some memory but the new version is too trash. It has many technical errors, and ultimately bad user interfaces. This game is not Warcraft III reforged but Warcraft III Reversed. Thank you Blizzard. You have destroyed your legacy.

    Weeks after release this game is still practically unplayable. Can't play a custom game without getting DC'd half the time and the other half is a buggy mess. This would be unacceptable in an indy game let alone one of the biggest game developers in the industry. I finally gave up and uninstalled.

    Warcraft III (NOT REFORGED) has been one of the best games I've ever played and it made my childhood amazing and has a special place in my heart.
    Activision does not care about the games and only the money they make from it.

    Blizzard does not exist anymore, it's just Activision

    How did they make a game so awful it ruined the game they wanted to remaster. Killed two games with one stone. Not to mention misleading advertisement, and too much for me to type that am frustrated with. Lucky for us the threat of mass lawsuits has allowed for refunds.

    Blizzard somehow managed to make a poorer performing, laggier, and technically worse product than 17 years ago. It's truly despicable. I didn't even get tricked into buying the retexture pack and i still have to suffer the same as those who did.

    Blizzard has addressed some of the complaints and criticism hurled its way, and has promised to work on many of these issues. Naturally, one must ask why the game was released in such a state, especially considering the negative attention the company has garnered over the past year with the reveal of Diablo Immortal and the Blizzard/China controversy.

    In the end it’s worth noting that when viewing a remake or remaster what needs to be taken into consideration is the source material, how it looks, feels, and plays. That is, in addition to the work carried out to recreate moments, update visuals, and change any of the presentation. To do otherwise would be silly, a terrible game with a wonderful remaster doesn’t warrant a high score. In the case of Warcraft III, the inverse to that is also true. So, what we end up with is something in-between. A classic reborn, in a package that doesn’t warrant all that much in the way of celebration.
