    I absolutely loved the original WC3 when it first came out and played it for years. I have probably lost several months of my life to that game. So I was massively excited when I saw and heard about Reforged. I even pre-ordered it and I never pre-order any games.

    Then, it released. I don't think I could have been more disappointed.     Then, it released. I don't think I could have been more disappointed. Firstly, the main point of the whole release was to bring in wonderful "4K" graphics and 3D character portraits. Considering it's 2020, the graphics are just nothing short of rubbish. SC2 was released 10 years ago and it looks considerably better than what they gave us in Reforged. It makes me wander what they actually spent all that time doing, because it definitely wasn't in making a decent engine upgrade. The character portraits are even worse in my opinion and had this weird neon outlining around parts of them when the 3D portraits moved. The engine itself as a whole is pretty terrible. Most of the time my FPS was alright and pretty high, but it made the fans on my graphics card sound like jet engines constantly even when barely anything was on screen or happening despite SC2 (again, released 10 years ago, looking tonnes better and having far more going on in it) doesn't even make it break into a sweat in comparison. I kept getting annoying micro-stutters which seemed to be relating to animations loading - but it would happen constantly, not even just the first time a certain animation happened and loaded, it would keep happening when that animation played again the next time, and the time after that, etc. And there seemed to be some weird engine bugs with fires. Even a single tiny fire on the screen would turn my game into a slideshow of around 10 FPS. As I got further into the first parts of the campaign, my FPS seemed to suffer more and more even while only managing a few units.

    Let's not even go into all the bugs surrounding disconnecting you from the game, having to reload the game over and over until it decided to remember that you've actually completed levels in the campaign, the fact that I read in multiple places that a UI overhaul/upgrade was going to be put in and it hasn't, I also read that waypathing was meant to be fixed from the original game - it hasn't, cutscenes seemed to disappear or be missing, the sound in some cutscenes was mumbled in places as if the characters were underwater, and there are tonnes of multiplayer-related features completely missing at launch.

    I just don't get what Blizzard actually spent their time on during this release because none of it is polished at all. And the one single thing that they absolutely promised and needed to get right - decent graphics - really fell short of any kind of mark. So short you need a microscope to find out where they landed and to work out if they actually moved forward in the first place. And to have so many performance-related FPS issues in the game when barely anything is going on and the graphics suck, in the year 2020, is just unacceptable.

    Sure there is a huge nostalgic feeling if you're a fan of the original game as I was. But it's just not worth paying £25 for. I wouldn't even pay £15 for it. I actually requested a refund through Blizzard's website because I feel the job's been done so poorly.

    I really wanted WC3 Reforged to be awesome. It was the one game I was looking forward to throughout 2019. I wish they'd gotten it right. But this game feels worse than the original in a lot of ways - at least you could run the original bug-free, feature-full and with amazing performance even if the graphics and ui were slightly dated.

    One of the things that annoys me the most about this whole shambles is the fact that I've read that Blizzard are banning people on the forums for asking for refunds or helping others to find out how to get a refund, and they seem to be widely ignoring the community's response to such a badly made game.

    Blizzard, you took people's money with this and completely crapped it up the wall. Own up to it and put it right.    … Expand

    Pre-ordered the game early cause I wanted to play the original again, I had a year of fun playing custom games with my friends again.

    Now that reforged is released they forced everyone to use the new client, where custom games will never thrive again because of multiple reasons. Apart from fixing the bugs I don't see them changing the rules around Custom games and online play.     I remember the blizzard glory days. Being mesmerized by warcraft 3, I could never convince my parents to buy me frozen throne so I mowed lawns for the money. Blizzard doesn't deserve that kind of commitment anymore. No one should support what this company has become.

    Created this account so I could vote. I played Warcraft 1: Orc and Humans on MS-DOS version on '94. Played and owned all blizzard games. Diablo 1, Starctaft 1, WOW since 1st month of lauching on Thunderlord server... but this is it. Im done with blizzard. Thank you.

And in my adult life, the company has been a good investment for my money.     BUT, in this case , it is obvious that, w/e happened with the Warcraft 3 reforged is intentional. The missing "new cutscenes" , the on the fly development , the same voice acting (would i imagine is the least of the problems, if one at all ) , the no-refund policy , the dull lightning/bloom/shadow graphic aspects of the game , the custom game fan-based creativity input that is terminated through the new "policy" for copywrited map created from now on , the b.net issues , the OG warcraft burial .... So dissapointing ,and all that ,for the simple reason,of making and extra buck of a "thought to be" dead game (which is not bcause old wc3 was still played until this new garbage came out and replaced it for no good reason, but u see noone was filling activision's pockets with cash by playing 4ever a game that they bought just once and that's it), by remaking it (lmao) into w/e it was thought to be ,through misleading marketing and lieing to one of the strongest fanbased gaming audiences of modern gaming (post 2000). They force all players of the old wc3 client to upgrade to this 30gb "updated version" which breaks nearly all custom game modes and blizzard now owns exclusive rights to any custom maps made.     I pre-ordered this game during Blizzcon 2018 reveal, that was a different game, what I have now is not what they sold me. FU Activision for killing one of the best studios ever and FU Blizzard for following the greediness of the big money. FU and you lost a loyal customer forever unless Blizzard goes back to it's roots, they should SPLIT from Activision like Bungee did.

I can't believe this, I left Dota 2 behind and permanently switched to Heroes of the Storm because of how good the game was.     Preordered the game because I loved the old one, probably like everyone else. Played the old one two weeks before the new one was released, the nostalgy was there and I couldn't wait for the new one to come. Now I am totally disappointed mostly because they ditched the old one. Хотели продать ту же игру, только с обновлёнными модельками(Кстати сделанными на коленках за 20 рублей), тошнотной озвучкой, которая даже близко не стояла с озвучкой 2002 года и ужасной оптимизацией, за 1300 рублей. Лучше играйте в оригинал 2002 года, для игры по сети есть куча разных прог, типо гарены. А модельки можете сами модами накачать,Очередная попытка по быстрому срубить денег.     How about we take a game you love, strip it of a lot of it's functionality, "upgrade" the graphics by making textures higer resolution but with no details for the resolution to show, mess up the color scheme to use the same across the whole game instead of changing between expansion and base.

    The only fact that I don't have any access to Classic WIII anymore and am forced to download 30 Gb update (1000% the original game file size) to play a 'reforged' version filled with bugs... Blizzard... What did you do ?

Играю в Варкрафт каждый год с 2008(12 лет выходит). Игра хорошая. Нареканий нет. Даже если что-то не так,Близзард молниеностно отреагируют и исправят. Хватит писать бред про худшую игру в Мире.     Я конечно против кибербуллинга и ревьюбомбинга, но это это однозначно нужно делать, в случае таких вот игр-халтур.     - Lots of old features missing

    Disappointment all around. Shame on both Activision and Blizzard. They are both to blame.

    Riding a 0 train on this one but this game is one unfinished peace of crap. Campaign script missions are not even finished and hard difficulty in this is more like easy... I still want to believe they gonna do something with it but if it's gonna be in 2+ years

    Reforged was supposed to be a remaster, but surprisingly not only did it fail in every aspect other than visual upgrades (some of which was blatantly lied about), it managed to tarnish the original game as well. If you somehow managed to get the game to work without getting black screen, instant defeat or having connectivity issues, good for you.

    It. Is. Broken. A complete mess from top to bottom. To release such a dumpster fire, KNOWINGLY, we now know that Blizzard has no interest in creating good games anymore. I am very certain this is the last time I will ever by a Blizzard game again. No Shadowlands, no Overwatch 2, no Diablo 4. It's time to move on after 20 years.

    So Blizzard did it again, after releasing bad WoW expansions with the same features and overcharging players for it, now is time to do it with Warcraft 3. Blizzard died in 2008.

    I honestly cant believe they did this to a great game. This was my childhood. I spent hundreds of hours over the course of 10 years playing custom games in wc3.

    Sad to see this happen this game was so loved. Some teachers would talk about it and would recommend it to the kids who played pc in class and I gave it a try and I had fun but this is sad to see what a greedy company.

    They delivered a terrible product. I preordered this game and what they showed on their reveal in 2018. is a completely different game than the one we got in 2020. The cutscenes look way worse, the FPS is terrible and many other features were cut.

    THIS IS A MONEY GRAB.

    The game is literally false advertising and Activision's really done it, there's a lot of vids and reviews already on the internet showing all the missing features, I'm not going to go into detail this time.

    Blizzard has addressed some of the complaints and criticism hurled its way, and has promised to work on many of these issues. Naturally, one must ask why the game was released in such a state, especially considering the negative attention the company has garnered over the past year with the reveal of Diablo Immortal and the Blizzard/China controversy.

    In the end it’s worth noting that when viewing a remake or remaster what needs to be taken into consideration is the source material, how it looks, feels, and plays. That is, in addition to the work carried out to recreate moments, update visuals, and change any of the presentation. To do otherwise would be silly, a terrible game with a wonderful remaster doesn’t warrant a high score. In the case of Warcraft III, the inverse to that is also true. So, what we end up with is something in-between. A classic reborn, in a package that doesn’t warrant all that much in the way of celebration.

    If you set your expectations a little lower, then Warcraft 3: Reforged is a game worth of your time and money. Sadly, for many of us out there, we were expecting a little more.
