This game is absolutely amazing. This is why:
-The graphics are amazing (if your graphics card can handle it).
-The game has a lot of content (you can easily play this game 120 hours). -The story is really good. In the end everything comes together really good. -The combat system has really improved a lot since the witcher 2. It now is really good now. -There haven't been much bugs

-There haven't been much bugs (if at all) and everything was updated fast

    Now the cons:
-The control is a little odd with keyboard and mouse (can easily be fixed by connecting a controller to the PC).
-The cut-scenes are rendered real time and are uglier than the game itself (I don't know why).
-The mouth doesn't move perfectly with the speech. Facial expressions are sometimes a little off.

This is definitely the best game of 2015 so far (but fallout 4 hasn't come out yet so that can still change).

The only things that hinder the game are the inevitable glitches of an open world game, and minor issues. Interacting with the environment objects when trying to loot, Roach not wanting to go over bridges, and difficulty looting because your not in the exact right spot. The quest have not devolved into "Collect 5 of these" like Inquisiton somewhat did. Many complained about Inquisiton that the opening area was large, and all subsequent areas varied from slightly smaller to much smaller. Witcher 3 does the opposite. The opening area is relatively small. My first thought was, " Oh **** Im going to blow through this in a week if it's this small. Then as soon as I finished the starting area I realized how immense the world was, and how filled it was with things to do. Every quest has character and importance to the local populace. I can go on for hours. Or at least an hour or two. The simplest way to put it is that this is the greatest Role Playing Game created to date. A must play for anyone who enjoys RPG's. CDProjekt accomplished what they set out to do. Now they just have to clean up the bugs, create some good DLC, and hopefully begin working on their next masterpiece. Expand

this is possibly the most overrated game EVER. let me tell you what i like about the game. the writing the villans the endings and the dlc are are mostly great thats what i like. now the bad : the ai sucks. really god damn bad, they stand still and let you kill them.the combat is repetitive and boring. the enemy's are just bullet sponges and reskins. the open world is basicly empty.

Great game, the Witcher 3 even tops the 2nd game in the series. Fantastic writing, visuals, animation and music. Gameplay is a little bog standard and doesn't add anything new but when the writing, story arc and story divergence are this good it becomes a minor issue.

One of the best games I've ever played.

So this game might not be perfect, the loot system isn't that great and the fighting is better in the Dark Souls series, but this game is still the most well made game I've ever played. It is an absolute "must play". The environment is amazing, the story is epic, the music is fantastic. Make sure to get all the expansions for it. Kudos to CD Project RED, they are changing the gaming industry.

Graphics are gorgeous, music is incredible, open world, combat is fun and reactive, Geralt is an awesome character badass, tons of armor and weapons models to keep you feeling like you're the monster killer you are.

I'm so addicted I play for 10 hours a day sometimes. Been up until 5am like 3 times so my sleep is totally screwed. I just want to keep doing more stuff! That's how a game should be. Literally the only complaint I have is the horse you ride. He's dumb. He spawns in bad places, and always behind the camera so he's never where you are heading when you whistle for him. And sloped terrain is a **** nightmare sometimes. Although he is necessary and helpful to a big degree. And he does have an autopilot if you're on a road. And there is fast travel but only from road signs.

Read a synopsis of the other 2 games if you don't want to play them, really the events in those games are standalone and it's only cool to see old characters you've met before in the other games. I wholeheartedly recommend this game whatever the price is. It's near perfect. There is no game better of its type and is strongly competing with Chrono Trigger as my favorite of all time.

A very rare 10/10 for me.

A gorgeous game set in a dark universe where you play as a legendary Witcher 'Geralt of Rivia'. The Witcher 3 excels in almost every aspect imaginable.

The Setting - CD Project Red (The Devs) really out-did themselves on the setting. The game is absolutely gorgeous, but also presents you with exactly the setting you would want in a monster-slaying game: dark, foggy, disturbing. Also, there is a lot of swamps and snowy valleys. I like both.

The Characters - Just, wonderful. Almost every single character in this game manages to be somewhat interesting. The voice acting (especially for the important characters) is similar to that you'd expect of a movie, and the scripts almost never fail to be convincing. A character never acted irrationally (unless that's what they were supposed to do.)

Gameplay - The gameplay is fast, punishing, and fun. Fighting against humans isn't nearly as fun as fighting against monsters: taking down a griffin is far more exhilarating than a bandit. Nevertheless preparing for a battle with oils, and potions, then engaging in difficult combat is great. If you enjoy dodging, evading (like dodging, but side stepping instead of rolling) and blocking while deciding when to deliver a powerful attack, you will enjoy the gameplay.

The Story - Definitely the games strongest element (and I'd give all the other aspects 9-10's). Never once was I intrigued by the story. Every single time I made a crucial decision, I knew it could have massive ramifications later on into the game - and that was awesome. Playing The Witcher 3 never felt like a chore, unlike many other games.

Bugs/Performance - Eh, I didn't expect any bugs. The game is a little demanding, but it is acceptable seeing as how beautiful the game is.

One of the best Story-Driven RPG's ever made.

The story is memorable and very captivating. CDProjekt RED made no mistakes when writing it, especially because of the fact that it is totally non-linear. All the quests are very smooth and don't drag on too long. Even if there is a lot of traveling involved, I have always found it fascinating to ride through unexplored terrain on horseback, even discovering new towns whilst in the middle of a quest, which I may do upon my own bidding. The characters, you may love or you may hate, but they strike emotion, and that is what makes them unforgettable. The world is vast and filled with a myriad of things to explore. It would take hours for me to bore myself looking around the map, let alone a single town. It is very obvious that there was some inspiration from other games, such as Dragon Age: Inquisition and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. If you have not played either of the first two Witcher games, I recommend you play at least one to familiarize yourself with some of the core elements of the game.

I am afraid , however, I must address the graphics. If you were expecting to play what you saw in the 2013/2014 trailers, then you may be disappointed. The game was heavily optimized to keep frame rates up. In doing thus, the game has become a lot less pretty and overwhelmingly realistic. The foliage is clearly not three dimensional, the hair (even with Nvidia Hairworks) does not look very kosher, and some of the terrain textures look rather grainy. There is still some very beautiful imagery, but overall, it is definitely not up to par with some of the less recent games, like DA: Inquisition. However, this does not take away from the gameplay.

All in all, this game is a marvelous experience and I highly recommend you try it out, graphical downgrade aside.

A beautifully polished game that without a doubt has raised the bar on the genre. It is impressive in nearly every aspect, and the only gripes I have with it is the clunky character movement (the responsiveness can lag at times), and the AI which can be erratic/stupid (i.e. NPC doesn't detect you even though you are in close proximity and shooting at it).
