    No point in saying what others have already declared. TW3 : Wild Hunt is a masterpiece. A true 10/10 game, that has story, character, game play and beautiful visuals that will leave you in awe every time you play it again.

    I'm just glad the the amount of mouthbreathers is very low on the review of the best game 2015 :) The Witcher has only been improved from 1 to 3, including tons of free content (DLCs) and only minor payable DLC at all.
    If those brainwashed zombies want to **** and rant, please go back to EAs "Battlefront" and pay for your game in DLCs, thank you :)

    Best game I have played in years. I played the French language version of the game, CD Projekt Red seem to have invested a lot to "polish" the dialogues and use French middle age idioms. Fantastic job !
    A controller is a must to play the PC version (my opinion).     118 hours to reach level 35 (level cap?), did not achieve 100% of the side quests though.

    Best RPG in a very long time. Not even Dragon Age Inquisition nor Skyrim can top this one in my book. Its the only game that manages to make everything matter - from the NPCs, the lore, the books, main quests and most importantly the side quests.

    The Witcher 3 is the perfect example of RPGs done right. Your decisions really matter, combat is challenging but not overly punishing, and    Best RPG in a very long time. Not even Dragon Age Inquisition nor Skyrim can top this one in my book. Its the only game that manages to make everything matter - from the NPCs, the lore, the books, main quests and most importantly the side quests.

    The Witcher 3 is the perfect example of RPGs done right. Your decisions really matter, combat is challenging but not overly punishing, and the stories and side quests are absolutely top notch.

    It's like a large long book with awesome short stories to boot. 40 hours in, and I have yet to get bored with anything: whether its running through the landscape, talking to people, resolving people's monster problems, having fun with sex, killing bad guys etc. It's just perfect.

    This game is IMMERSIVE and the new standard bearer for open world RPGs/ video games. It will be hard for future RPGs to justify their existence.

    Let me put this straight, this game really takes a lot of your time, PERIOD.. Its addictive, and you really have to stop after 3 hours, or else you might skip dialogs just to to get the mission done. The game is very detailed and deep, so you might wanna take your time exploring. The game reminds me of Baulders gate long long ago, but with a more graphic touch. In this game, you will learnLet me put this straight, this game really takes a lot of your time, PERIOD.. Its addictive, and you really have to stop after 3 hours, or else you might skip dialogs just to to get the mission done. The game is very detailed and deep, so you might wanna take your time exploring. The game reminds me of Baulders gate long long ago, but with a more graphic touch. In this game, you will learn combat moves, spells, making bombs, potions etc, probably everything that you need to defeat all sorts of enemies. I've spent 50 hours and just got on island of skellige.. Its a very big world, very detailed terrain and a little 'sex' scenes here and there, which to me adds realism to the game. My advice is to not play this game more than 3 hours straight, else you get headaches, eye exhaustion and skipping dialogues..

    Although, im yet to give this a 10/10, but perhaps maybe 9/10 .. The game mechanism is simple. Finish your mission and move on. Collect rewards & items, upgrade yourself, learn spells etc and of course, explore!. What i like about the game is that, you get to choose how you want to end to be. Be carefull what you respond to characters, it WILL affect later on in the game. So be yourself, trust me, you will enjoy it. Ive finish the game, though i must admit, this game is the only game that almost make me tear/cry, damn .. The story itself, makes you feel like your geralt of rivia!, lol. You'll crave this game even more after you have finish the main quest. Cant wait for the next witcher series.

    Another note, It can get a little boring/tiring overtime, because its 'so deep' that it requires a lot of energy put into the game. thats why i suggest not playing it more than 3 hours. But nonetheless, the game deserve to be one of the BEST RPG currently. Im waiting for Fallout 4, should be a good platform to compare. This game will definitely set the bar for other developers to follow. Other things that i like is that some DLC's are free, yes hear me right!.. And also try to get the expansion pass, that will add another 30 hours of gaming time.

    If you have a lot of time, and loves games like fallout 3, gta 4/5, far cry, then this game is for you. If you're not into detailed RPG games, and you want simple hacking and slashing kinda games. then this game will bore you within hours.

    My verdict 9 out of 10 .. excellent game but not perfect yet. I wish it could give me 200 hours of playing time. Btw, keyboard and mouse is sufficient. You dont really have to get a game controller.

    As fellow gamer i give this game 8 of 10. But as big fan of Witcher universe 9.5 of 10. For me it was near perfect experience.
    Game have beautiful graphics, great visual style, interesting story with satisfying ending. Sometimes it suffers from performance issues, but it was mostly fixed by now. Combat system is a bit clunky but it was improved compared to previous, Witcher 2.

    This game was my first RPG on the ps4 and boy did I enjoy the ride. I've never played a Witcher game and from the very start I loved it. From the choices you make and the actual responses to some of the funny choices you may make. This game is a must for anyone. Im super picky with games to and you cant go wrong with this one.

    This is possibly the best open world RPG ever made and certainly one of the best games ever made. There is so much content and thought put into every quest, it's almost beyond belief. Just buy it, and also the DLC, which is also of very high quality. I've been gaming for over 30 years and this is the real deal.

    The Witcher 3 is likely the best game ever made and will hold that title for some time. Updates since initial launch fix the game mechanic issues others have mentioned. The game is truly immersive, plays like a movie, and has choices that significantly affect the world. True to the books, diehard fans are in for a serious treat.

Graphics, atmosphere, soundare perfect, the attention to detail is amazing. And the game runs well and stable with 2010 computer.

    Fallout worls seemed empty. Although i met monsters,    The Witcher 3 made me love RPGs again.     In Witcher i had an impression everything has it's purpose. The feeling of "i have to see what's over there, and there and there".
    The story line - amazing. They made a game which has very similar plot style to stories of Mr. Sapkowski.
    CDP Red mastered art of interconnections between quests and how to place POIs into the map - every explorer should search the surroundings near every question mark. It's amazing how it worked out.

    The game is a masterpiece big time! Other studios will have extremely hard time trying to take down the king!
    Even though there are things you could point out for improvement. But in a complicated system as Witcher provides it's no surprise! Moreover they actually listen to the players and fix everything that's being reported. CD Project RED is no doubt the most valuable studio so far.

    As the last part of the series (that include Geralt as the main character) ,CDPR hit the spot with this game, created a world and story that is guaranteed to draw the player into it. Combat flows smoothly, creatures act natural and how you'd expect them to, NPCs feel realistic. They hit the spot on too many things to list.

    CD Projekt Red have crafted a rich world full of fantasy, ambiguity and political intrigue. Even the seemingly smallest of tasks can become elaborate quests. The Bloody Baron quest line in particular is unforgettable. The storytelling, voice acting and relationships Geralt has make the world feel tangible and believable. The change to open world meant a means of fast travel was needed. Of course you can travel via signposts or you can get where you need to go on your trusty steed Roach.

    The game can be quite serious but also knows when to have a bit of fun and humor as well. You can participate in fist fights and horse races. You can also play a round of Gwent. I liked the in game card game so much I even ordered the PS4 version of the Witcher 3 just for the Gwent cards.

    There is so much quality fresh content to be had that never feels like its unnecessary padding. Angry Joe had stated he got more out of the Witcher 3 for the same price he has paid for lesser games. I couldn't agree with him more. CD Projekt Red have also seen fit to offer 16 pieces of free DLC as well    … Expand

    Masterpiece. The World is filled with hundreds of quests and none of them feel boring or with a weak plot. Every quest is thought out perfectly. Every character feels different, not to mention the places. White Orchard feels distinctively different from Novigrad and The Skellige Iseles. All of these places feel like they have history, depth and filled with character. For Example On theMasterpiece. For Example On the Skellige Iseles the houses seem very barbaric, but the Castles are very different. Novigrad feels very much alive. You can see people buying from the markets, poor people on the streets and shady people walking around with their cloak's on. The Monsters have diversity. There are Necrophages, Ogroids, Vampires, Specters, Hybrids, Insectoids, Draconids... They all have different styles and different weaknesses. The combat feels fluid and responsive. When you hit and enemy it feels like you really did damage, not to mention the Signs. You start out with their default aspects. But later on as you progress you can change the way they react and make them differently. This isn't diverse as in the Elder Scrolls but it still is quite amusing. The writing and music are amazing. The Story has a very good plot and the music makes you thrilled when you go to battle and makes you enjoy and feel the beautiful lands of the world. Crafting and potion making aren't great but aren't bad, you will have trouble getting the ingredients at the beginning, but later on isn't a big deal. Overall this game is a masterpiece and might be the best RPG of all time!

The city buildings are beautiful, the countryside is enchanting. The meat of every game is the game play mechanics, I feel that Witcher 3 finally got it right. The melee combat being different between monsters and humans, is great, while using the Bestiary to find out enemies weaknesses before a challenging encounter and utilizing the right equipment keeps it interesting. The spells, potions and bombs really add to the variation and challenge. Even at the hardest levels, combat was not too difficult when you took each encounter seriously but deadly if you just walked in without a plan.

Also keep in mind you can mod it changing the gameplay making it harder or similar to Dark souls or making the game's graphics look even better. with that said the vanilla gameplay is simple when you're used to it and will most likely not care since all you'll care about is the story and the stories told in this game are inspired from so many cultures all over the globe and from different religions to create a refreshing experience that even the side of a side quest look like a mainquest and the side quests are better than the mainquests IMO were choices still matters and make you think since its not some black and white generic choices but gray that still make you wonder which of the choices are better with the lesser evil ect..

    And then the two DLC's are two other masterpieces that feel like a new game especially the B&W expansion with new musics, And speaking of music you'll listen to over a hundred original soundtracks both in exploration and combat that are so good you'll remember them for the rest of your life just like you'll remember the breathtaking cities and lands that feel alive with their own stories to tell and change the mood of the game.

    So after doing 5 playthroughs both in vanilla and modded with 3 of this playthroughs on a pirated version i immediately bought the game when i could to play it even more with 408 more hours on steam with probably a total of 1000 hours.
    So i can say this is most certainly the best game ever created and i can't wait for cyberpunk2077.

    - Great Open World with many surprises inside it, Not an empty open world like we encounter in MetalGearSolidVPP, Shadow Mordor, HZD, Dragon Age Inq etc ...This open world is true memorable and worth exploring!
    -Great , deep, and memorable storylines and plot in almost every Mission/Side Q along with great Cutscene and Camera angles too!
    - Fluid movement and smooth combat, Its not as great as Shadow of Mordor combat style, or Darksoulds III but well its better than previous version,
    -Great sounds, Great Voice acted and Great music.
    -Great graphics . animations, great facial expressions.
    -Great character design makes all character in game are attractive and memorable.
    - Bla bla i just cant say no more, you have to experience it yourself. Im gonna tell you this : this is NOT a game, this is EXPERIENCE.
    This is the example of how the AAA game should be delivered to customer. Everything seems Magic. Thanks to CD RED Project for giving me the best game ever in my 30 Years of Gaming.

    This is by far the golden standard of RPGs. Being a huge rpg fan and having played some of the best rpgs (knights of the old republic, mass effect 2, divinity 2), I can comfortably say that the Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is by far the best RPG I have ever played. After logging over 300 hours, I wish I can unplay this game just so I can play it again. Buy this and the DLCs now if you haven't.

    Best RPG game I ever played and I have been in the business for nearly 15 years now. MUST GET for RPG fans or anyone that doesn't mind pouring tens of hours and hours in to a solid game. When you have 90+ hours of gameplay and find no mistakes, you know you have a masterpiece of a game. Other devs should take notes from CDPR

    A perfect game deserves a perfect store. One of the best games I have ever played. After playing Witcher 3 I went and played Witcher 1 and 2. I also started reading the witcher books. The universe just sucks you into the lore!! This game has set a new standard in open world RPG games. As much as I like games like Horizon, it just cannot compare to this game.

    Without a doubt the best game of all time at the moment. Graphics, music, gorgeous story with gorgeous characters. The most difficult choices in my life have for this game. Geralt, I want endlessly to explore with you this harsh world and to follow you there, where no sane person would go.

    I have played a ton of RPG (almost all on the market), i am 46 years old but i think that The Witcher 3 is one of the best RPG ever made, the location are beautiful, the plot is amazing, the music is just fantastic, i think that The Witcher 3 is one of the best game on the 21th century, and it has create a canon for the Open world game, a canon that as today is unbeaten

    This game ticks all my boxes. It's big. So we can waste a lot of time in it. It's deep. There is a world to explore here, very well made and worth exploring. It's interesting. The stories and characters are rich and diverse. There may be some small issues with controls and combat, but these are not so serious in the scheme of things. Highly recommended.     I was so hyped for this game when it was shown at E3 I thought for sure it wasn't going to live up to expectations but it actually did. In the Witcher 3 you start out in a bleak and unforgiving world and you as the player can either change it for the better or worse because almost every chose in this game has consequences so be very careful with what you do and say. The combat felt fluent and fun especially on the hardest difficulty, you had to actually prepare for each fight (with potions and oils). The story is where this game shines, it made me cry and laugh with some of my favorite characters dying and witty emotionless jokes from Geralt that were surprisingly funny. This game did have some flaws with bugs which weren't game breaking for me just funny like Roach flying and Triss's breasts bouncing with every change of camera angles but that is the only flaw I can think of. All in all this game deserves a 10/10 everyone needs this game its a must own for everybody's library.… Expand

    Beautiful, immersive, and with a story that grips you from beginning to end. TW3 is the standard for roleplaying game...hell, ALL games going forward. Once every few years a game gives me a fulfilling experience that keeps bringing me back to it. This is one of those rare games.

    A cauldron of emotions when you get to finish Geralt adventures in a amazing world full of life, either by its characters, gameplay, tons of things to do........really, you WANT to get drowned (some will get the joke) in this world. Thank you CD Project Red and all involved.

    after spending 150h i can say this game is **** masterpiece but that dosnt hide the fact it has a few problems but nothing serious and maybe it lacks the creativity when it comes to gameplay this game is very rich and not a doll moment in this game i enjoyed every moment overall i say this is the best rpg of all time and one of hte videogames ever made

    This is a game that completely drew me in. I have been PC gaming since 1983. I only play RPGs and I play a game from start to finish. The Witcher series got better with each game. I play on a alienware and the game is beautiful, the characters have depth, combat is great, and the story is deep. PLAY THIS GAME.

    Can't stop playing this game. It's beautiful, fun, deep and interesting. I highly recommend this to anyone who has any interest in RPGs. I'm running this with an i5 4960k and 2x GTX 970s (1080p monitor) and I can run everything on and ultra though I play it at 50hz as my PC was getting a bit hot at 60hz.

    One of the best RPGs of all time. Great story (both the main story, and sidequests), great characters, great graphics, great combat (I believe that people who didn't like combat in this game just don't understand it/didn't get used to it). The first expansion, Hearts of Stone, is also great, check it out! Blood and Wine will probably be great too.

    Characters ring true and solicit real-felt sympathy or revolt.
    Increadibly well optimised for pc, high-end or low-end.

    And it is HUGE. Increadible value for money.

One big aspect of this is the choice and morality of the game. Lots of games will give you superficial choices. Some games, like the mass effect franchise, take it further painting actions as good or bad. But those choices are blackI love the Witcher 3. Often choice in the Witcher 3 comes to trying to pick the lesser evil. Twice in the game, on insignificant side quests I left someone to die. Once that was a show of mercy, another time an act of cruelty. The same action meaning two different things. Now that is moral complexity. That doesn't condescend. Choice affects who you end up with and how happy, or hearbreaking, the ending is. And its not a few key yes/no moments. A lot more less significant choices build up to the outcome. Its quite well done.
    The game is not quite perfect, though it certainly is the closest to perfect that currently exists. Combat, though better than the previous two games is still a bit rough. Fighting is designed to avoid click to win, and be more tactical but I could still click to win for the first 1/3 of the game, later too until I dialed the difficulty way up. Enemies can gang up on you, instead of taking turns like the movies or Arkham games, forcing you to plan your fights more tactically. Same with your limited use of healing resources in combat. Some skills on the skill tree are clearly underpowered compared to others, and "hybrid" builds are trickier to play despite being truer to the character.
    Also though character development is awesome in this game, it is actually slightly weaker than Witcher 2. Once you run out of things to say to your chosen or your friend character, you run out of dialogue. That is probably a symptom of the much larger world. When you are interacting with a character as part of a quest it is great and well rounded. Characters change in response to you. Outside of quests, not so much.
    The world is huge, stunning and beautiful. The water animations, and wind blowing through the trees are beautiful. It feels like a living, breathing world complete with weather systems and dynamic shadows (depending on the amount of daylight and the sun's position in the sky).
    Overall the game will be off-putting to some people. It is fantasy, but this world is dark, sexist, racist and worse. Some themes will disturb younger viewers. And if you can't get into the combat, I suggest setting it to easy and playing to see the story. Because games this good are few and far between.    … Expand

    First of all I must say that I'm not a fan of the two previous Witcher games, nor a fan of Sapkowski's books either. So I've expected nothing from The Witcher 3 and for months have launched it occasionally, never submerging into the story. But about month ago I've got some free time and The Witcher 3 suddenly consumed me so deeply that it tore me out of the real world, plunging into the fantastic universe of witchers, sorceresses and palace intrigues.

    The first alarm sounded for my inner skeptic during the side quests (not your usual "fetch it" quests) - I have almost always been able to do what I thought was right, rather than to choose between childish caricatures on "good" and "evil" which are plaguing not only modern games, but also cinema and literature. And my actions in the game resulted in logical consequences (the ending of the game turned out to be about exactly as what I expected and wanted). So my choices was true to me and mattered. The second "bell" rang during the ending of the Bloody Baron quest, when all appeared not as unambiguously as skeptic in me suspected. It was already an alarming symptom for my inner skeptic. But the real crushing blow was expertly prepared and delivered by the developers in Novigrad in the story quests and dialogues with the charismatic Dijkstra and beautiful Triss. Drunk scene in Kaer Morhene was just a control shot in the lifeless body of my inner skeptic, which was already dead before the trip on Skellige islands.

    The characters in the game are deep and well-developed. Not as simple as might seem at first. You can suspect that you might finally get to the "vulnerable soul” of the power-loving and selfish **** Yen, but this knowledge still will not make it much easier for you to reject Yen out there on the ship abandoned on the top of the mountain when she reveals her feelings to Geralt, appearing to be lonely, frightened and vulnerable child. On the other hand, good-natured and wise Triss sometimes seems imposturous, with temper tantrums, and even rage and cruelty. Not to mention that she used Garalt's amnesia to seduce him even though he was love of her "friend" Yen. Relationships in this love triangle are described so thoroughly that I was tempted to (and in fact deed) apply to them classification of love by CS Lewis, like they were real. Even minor characters are sometimes gorgeous. Charismatic Dijkstra, Bloody Baron, Lambert, Cossack's ataman Olgierd...

    Good and evil in The Witcher 3 are not so grotesque as usual in games, movies and books. As it is in the real life, there are no wholly bad or good persons (after all, no one does evil for evil's sake, the motive of committing evil always serve some good - love, security, power, money, etc), but there are bad / good deeds (clemency or crimes, honesty or trespasses, moral or amoral behaviour) which have their consequences. In fact, all people - from Christian saints to the worst maniacs - are mixtures of that good and bad deeds and affections. Anyone can love or betray. And it is perfectly portrayed in The Witcher 3.

    But that's not all of the advantages of the game. The story is also beautiful, it is not simply immerses you into an artificial one-dimensional world of eternal darkness or empty irony, but alternates tragic moments with comedy (yes, drunk scene in Kaer Morhene is a stroke of genius!), melancholy with fast action, the ugliness of monsters with stunningly beautiful vistas.

    And the dialogues - they are something. They're just brilliant. Vivid, clever, often ironic, sometimes touching or sad but not trivial. The game will not insult your intellect. In fact sometimes I felt that characters of the game are much smarter and wiser than me - I love it!

    CD Project Red have used advantages of the modern graphics properly - they have created a world so beautiful that some views deserve to be painted. On Skellige game design appears in all of its glory - the beauty of sunrises and sunsets, snow-capped mountains, the sea and the picturesque meadows, and a completely marvelous music. Clothing on characters looks as if they really wear it, not as adherent to their skin. Facial animation is used as it should - sometimes in dialogues gestures and facial expressions of the characters are much louder than words.

    The combat system have it's flaws, but overall gameplay is interesting. However I agree - the game needs more Triss :) But all these are secondary. Because for the first time I see a game which is actually rival if not surpasses the cinema and literature. It is real artwork in which a gamer can be co-creator. Marvellous! 10/10    … Expand

    The combat isn't perfect, but it's fun, competitive, and serves its purpose. The boss battles are tough, and require different techniques. The card game gwent is fun, and a good way to waste time and get away from the action. The team at CDPR have kept the game updated and have fixed plenty of bugs, while adding new quests, and one of the biggest post launch free upgrades in new game plus. The first expansion in Hearts of Stone is great, and the second expansion is supposed to be even bigger.

    First of all the story telling in this game is one of the best I have ever experienced. The main story is very good paced. The Baron quest line is one of the best in RPG games ever. The story is so full of emotions, tough decisions and twists. Every quest has a story and a background and always two or sometimes even more ways to end it.
    The World of the Witcher is vast and rich with encounters, NPC and more. You got big cities, small villages, forts and ruins to explore. Caves and mountain tops to discover. Yes it has zones it's not one big open world game but one thing in it what is amazing. No loading screens. Enter a cave? A house? A City? A castle? No loading screen! This is how you should do it.
    Combat is very fluid and you can do it how you want it. Sword fighting, signs (aka magic), potions, traps and bombs. Fast and sneaky or slow and tanky? You can play it how you want it.
    There is a lot more equipment and upgrades then in previous games. Swords, axes, crossbows and a lot of different armor parts to chose from. You have different armor sets that are tied in to quests and give you some back story to different Witcher schools.
    Graphic wise Witcher 3 is the best looking game in 2015 period. Yes on PC it requires a powerful machine but on console you still get a medium to high experience. The game just looks beautiful. The character models, the landscape and weather effects. Lightning effects and shadows are amazing. And every zone has its own look and feel to it.
    All and all a great game and one of the best RPG in gaming history. The best game of this year by a mile.

    I'm struggling for a reason why this shouldn't be a ten. No native Dualshock 4 support, perhaps (then again, nothing does)? Some frame skips even on an overclocked 290x? Perhaps the fact all the peasants have my local accent and I kind of feel like I'm being stereotyped in someway?

As I said, world is beautiful and convincing, even after 200 hours in game, I'm stopping from time to time to listen what people are talking about, to look how little girl plays with a stick like a sword or to admire the scenery. Game pays great attention to details. There is story behind even very small quests. You can read letter or dairy which helps you to know what happen to people. Game also gives you choices and allows you to play with different playstyles.
    The game is really well optimized on PC. I still remember some AAA that was unplayable for couple of weeks after release. CD Project Red supports game and listens to players. The released 16 free DLCs and 11 (at the moment) patches    … Expand

It works off of the lore set by Andrzej Sapkowski, from whose work the trilogy was based on, although non-canon, the game compliments the book series perfectly.

    I've followed this series since the 1st one, though I just watched playthroughs of Witcher 1 because I couldn't stand the combat. The graphics were insane and the RPG elements were groundbreaking. Then came Witcher 2. The graphics were insane and the RPG elements were groundbreaking. Then came Witcher 2. I played the BG series, the Dragon Age games (at the time DA2 had been released several months earlier), final fantasy games and Neverwinter Nights. Witcher 2 absolutely demolished all of them. Up until The Witcher 3, I found the Witcher 2 to be the greatest of all time. Then came Witcher 3. I have to admit I enjoyed Witcher 2's story slightly more but I still think Witcher 3 had a phenomenal story. The game has so many twists and turns and your decisions will affect the outcome. I've seen a few people complaining about being forced to use an xbox controller. I don't understand the problem with this. There are several games that command the use of a controller including Assassin's Creed games. This is a non issue for me. I've heard of a few people complaining about the control over Geralt and again, it's not an issue for me. Because some people complained about the controls, CDPR released an alternate type of control. Hopefully this satisfies those who do not like the original controls. The graphics on PC are probably the best I've ever seen in a game. Seriously. Nothings comes close. Considering this is an open world game and it runs without shudder at 4k resolution with Hairworks cranked up on a PC with a 4 year old processor and motherboard makes that all the more impressive. Again, I found the story in Witcher 2 to be slightly better but that is not a slight. I would not debate on which had a better story through because they both had their strongpoints. This game is a mature game. It does not deviate much from the books so if you're looking for a liberal utopia like Dragon Age 1, 2 or 3 then this is not your game. It doesn't care about your views but it will force you to make some moral decisions. You will not be a hero. This game does not inform you on which decision is the better decision because almost all decisions offer a positive or negative or maybe a few of both. The game does not insult your time by jamming fetch quests down your throat. The closest thing to fetch quests is the witcher armor missions, the guarded treasure, and the treasures that can be found by investigating the sea floor and surface alike. However, if you don't want to get the stuff, you do not have to. I've heard some people say that the side quests offer more of a story than the main story quests. This is probably the first time I've enjoyed a game with this much meat. I put well over 100 hours into the game and I gotta say, I loved every minute of it.… Expand

    What can I say that wasn't said before? The main story is deep and amazing, as are the side quests, the map is huge, the gameplay is dynamic and fluid, the graphics and landscapes amazing. Thank you CDPR!

    Great game, great graphics. People who complain about it being slow obviously have a bad computer. This game ran like a beast, and had the most indepth i've ever seen. The gameplay needs some smoothening, but it's still fun nonetheless. The dark atmosphere gave the game a great new meaning. Only part I didn't like was the boring Velen, and White Orchard chapters.

It also does something that many games fear to tread... it is truthful to the world, with aspects of racism and prosecution, to abuse and sexism its all there but the good thing is that it does it tastefully and in ways that are subtle and dont offend the player.

    I love this game to bits and recommend this any gamer who is looking to a rich and tasteful experience that I feel has been a once in a lifetime experience.    … Expand

    Great game, you play it like you read a good book. The picture is beautiful, and along with the soundtrack it creates unique atmosphere and immersion.
    There were some initial probles with character controlling, and e.g. lack of personal chest to store loot in, but they were (at least partially) fixed in the patches.
    Really good, solid game.

Until now -every single- open world game (I'm looking at you TES, DAI) suffers from boring, unscripted, often dialog-less side quests ranging from "go kill this" to "go fetch that". In Witcher3 practically every single side quest I have encountered, and make no mistake there are a LOT of them, has not only had scripted dialog but often has fully fleshed out stories filled with plot twists and interesting characters. This is contrasted with the latest Dragon Age game in which pretty much every side quest was a piece of paper you read off the ground that directs you to go loot a chest or kill something, without even a word of dialog. How the devs managed such detail is beyond me, it's an absolutely outstanding accomplishment.

    The graphics were "downgraded" for consoles a little bit, sure, but the game still is the best looking rpg I have ever played, and I found the framerate to be optimized very well, which is something people often overlook. I can run everything on Ultra (except Hairworks) with my old 7970 and maintain >50 fps. I just don't get the 100 negative reviews on here. No other open world game even comes CLOSE to Witcher 3. Looking through those reviews these morons are giving the game 1/10 because they don't like the controls (which are fine), or they claim the graphics are not "great", even though no other open world game comes close in this regard. I really don't know. Most reviews seem to be positive. This alone is a testament to how good this game is. Even if the combat disappoints you, even if you don't like the story it's not enough to make this game bad. There can't be a perfect game for everyone, naturally.

    I myself found everything good in this game. I kept hoping that they wouldn't mess it up, and they didn't. CD Projekt has secured its position with this game.
    The graphics are amazing. I keep stopping to stare at the sceneries. So much detail in the game's world. The story is amazing. It has its slow-paced moments, but in its entirety, it's a superb story of a really likeable fella on his great quest to find his missing 'daughter' and save his world. The combat is amazing. I loved being outnumbered by drowners and having to combine witcher magic, positioning and swordsmanship to narrow their numbers while trying to dodge their claws. And I loved outmaneuvering and stepping just out of reach that Wild Hunt general's frenzied attacks.

    This review isn't born out of a just-purchased play session hype. I have played this game for a while now and it kept me entertained throughout. I wrote this review when I was sure my feelings for this game were clear. And they are.

    Quite possibly the best single player RPG of all time. This and Final Fantasy 7 are my favorite games I can remember. The game has its minor flaws, but the games amazing graphics, narrative dialogue, music, I could go on... If you haven't bought this game you are missing out on one of the best experiences I've ever had.

    240 hours to complete the main story (probably 40 hours spent just playing Gwent). Another 50 hours on Heart of Stone expansion.

    CD Projekt has done it. They've made the game of the decade here. Anyone who has not played this masterpiece owes it to themselves to purchase.

    I've been playing this game for over 80 hours and it still feels fresh, I would have finished or got bored of almost any other game but this has me hooked and I can't wait to see what is next in the story.

    The graphics are gorgeous and varied, the story is compelling, the missions, even the side quests, are interesting and the Gwent game is a nice little game of its own within the game.     What can I say that hasn't already been said??? Simply put, the closest to perfection game I've played. After 6 months of patches and an expansion the game is fine tuned and overflows with content. Easily the best game I own if not the best ever. Forget game of the year this is game of the century!

    It's right up there with Mass Effect as my favourite RPG of all time, it's sad, it's exhilarating, it's The best Witcher game that anyone could have ever made.     Gerald of Rivia with a beard is the most handsome thing I have seen in this game, along side with the game play, deep lore and stories, the arsenal of alchemy potions , weapons and armor. This game is better than **** Gta 5

    One of the best action RPG I have played. Very good graphic, best story made quests I have seen. Nice combat (in Skyrim I got bored very fast because of combat).

    Great game! I was afraid about technical requirements (my machine is: 5years old core 2 quad, 8GB, 750TI) but everything works perfectly smooth, for example better than Far Cry 4. Graphics is perfect, voice acting (PL) is perfect, open world is really open :) , story is great! I'm really proud of our Polish developers!

    I have read some of Andrzej Sapkowski's books and I must say, the "CD Project RED" did an amazing job in reflecting this properly. If the future of good games will require talent and translating books into games, then ... "hello bright gaming future"... we will be up for a ride!

Few bugs,glitches, dull NPCs, graphics downgrade and performance optimization issues managed to hold the game a little bit from perfectness, however the scale of the world, the adorable characters, the atmosphere of the game, the story and the gameplay system make you forget about that in a blink, very few games managed to do that and I'm pretty sure itThe Witcher 3 is not perfect at all.     Great ending to an absolutely great saga. Ambient, sound, music, graphics, story gameplay.. It´s like re-living the books with a different story. And something new since a lot of time playing games: a very satisfying ending.

    Fantastic story, good combat system, great graphics, great atmosphere. The Witcher makes games from other rpg developers like bioware seem prudish and downright nerdy. The Witcher 3 brings a solid R rated mature story without political correctness or shying away from flawed characters and shocking situations.

    Number 1 on everything: graphics, plot, a beautifully and extensively detailed huge world to explore, ... I find myself open-mouthed so many times when traveling on my horse because of how beautifully detailed the Witcher 3 open world is, looks too good to be true, but it is true! :)    This is the best RPG I have ever played (and I have played a lot of them since the CBM Amiga days!).

    This game can fulfill my expectations. This is the first Witcher series that I played. Good story and a long, good gameplay, beautiful world.

    I've completed the main quest, and it still leaves many unexplored places. Still curious to play a DLC that will be out. hohoho

    I'm going all out now, I can almost promise this game is getting game of the year. This game is graphically outstanding and cannot be beaten in any way shape or form when it comes to art style and setting. The story is new and explores territories never visited in a Witcher Game. Performance is solid, I rarely dropped in frames playing on Ultra 1080p on my GTX 970 paired with an FX 8350 @I'm going all out now, I can almost promise this game is getting game of the year. This game is graphically outstanding and cannot be beaten in any way shape or form when it comes to art style and setting. The story is new and explores territories never visited in a Witcher Game. Performance is solid, I rarely dropped in frames playing on Ultra 1080p on my GTX 970 paired with an FX 8350 @ 4.6Ghz. The only issues I had was with hair works on it drops to around 50ish frames and during the prologue there multiple inventory crashes but as soon as I was past then I ran into basically no issues.
    This game is a killer, I've haven't praised a game in this way since Skyrim.

    The Witcher 3 says no to all of this - it's a great game with a fully realized setting, it's a joy to play, the business model behind it treats its customers like human beings, and it delivers a story that finally hits the tone of the books.
