After spending hundreds of hours in this amazing universe, i have come to the conclusion, that this game deserves a 10/10. The game is very re-playable. It has tons of quests. Tons of weapons. Tons of interesting characters. Skyrim offers everything you would expect from a RPG. You will probably loose yourself in this game for many hours.

After sinking over 600 hours into this game I can safely say I got what I paid for.
The game is packed full of things to do and places to see, the in-game world is massive and full of secrets to find. It's easy to say your just going on for a few minuets but then finding yourself still playing after unintended hours.
The graphics, while not among the best of 2011 are still very strong

The game is packed full of things to do and places to see, the in-game world is massive and full of secrets to find. It's easy to say your just going on for a few minuets but then finding yourself still playing after unintended hours.

The graphics, while not among the best of 2011 are still very strong and only help in immersing you into the world of Tamriel even more, from the snow covered shores to the dark caverns under the ground. The variety of things to see is rich as well whether that's waterfalls, mountains or old ruined forts. If you own the PC version of the game you can even improve the graphics further with the help of the brilliant modding community. I'd give the graphics a strong 9 out of 10

Now gameplay is something Bethesda have improved over the past Elder Scrolls titles from Morrowind to Oblivion and now given it a further upgrade in Skyrim. While It may not be the best combat system I've ever used it still gets the job done and serves up an interesting perk system to add to the experience, but I believe Bethesda have focused more on the exploring part of the game which I have no problem with, it offers something different to the so linear games we see dominating the market these days.

Continuing on gameplay, you can almost pick up and use anything in this game from buckets to tiny pieces of chalk, this is another great boost to immersion in this game but comes at the price of a few bugs here and there, despite this I'd still give it a solid 9 out of 10

The Soundtrack to this game is simply a masterpiece from the familiar Jeremy Soule (Guild Wars, Morrowind and Oblivion). From just strolling in the plains or fighting in one massive battle, the music is always keeping touch of what's happening on the screen. Jeremy Soule has truly outdone himself with these sweeping scores and easily gets a 10 out of 10 from me.

As for the game being worth the price tag, I couldn't recommend any game further more then Skyrim, no other game can come close to the 600 hours I spent (and still am spending) in this game and it could be a while before another does. 10 out of 10

The menus in this game do what there supposed to do and arrange the catergories of the game nicely, but can be a pain to go through if you have a full inventory, loading screens are also nicely thought out with facts about the lore and tips to enhance the experience, the downside being how long loading can be for consoles or PC's with many mods. 9 out of 10

The main story is interesting I didn't find it quiet as absorbing as Oblivion's but this is more then made up for in the other story lines, something Oblivion didn't for me. The Thieves guild quest line was outstanding and I really enjoyed it with it's many twists and turns, The Dark Brotherhood in similar fashion. The College of Winterhold was good but was far to short and left so many things unanswered, I was left wanting more, with The Companions seeming rather more bland then the rest but still a fun ride. 9 out of 10 here.

In my opinion Skyrim is the best Elder Scrolls game yet, improving on everything it's predecessors got wrong and putting them right.
While I doubt we will ever get a "Perfect Game" I believe TESV: Skyrim is the closest we may see for a while, I've loved my time in it and can't wait to see what Bethesda have to offer for TES6 so that's why I'm giving Skyrim a 10 out of 10

Sure, it contains a lot of bugs, some immersion breakers. This doesn't detract from the fact that there are -very- few rpgs that feel as open as this. It has a huge lifespan for most players, lasting 100s of hours.

One of the best games I have ever played and I've been playing for 30 years. The game is great and the user mods make it amazing. So detailed and so delicious! Yes, there are some odd bugs in the game and the main story line at the end (the dragon one) is kind of uneventful, but since I can't give it a rating of 99.9% I will throw them a bone for coming out with DLC's.

The plot in the game is set 200years after Oblivion, with a new story and timeline.

The game play is just awesome, and as the game is open-world, the gameplay doesn't feel even a bit linear and has an unforgettable experience.

The game has leveling up systems but very well developed, and contains only the most important things, without unnecessary stuff, and is very simple to use it, when you level up simply increase points in your stamina, magicka, or health, and then pick up a perk and increase it, depending on what you want your character to be.

The weapons are just awesome, you have all you want from an RPG, swords, spells, potions, shields, bows, and many others.

The clothes and armors are as well made too, and you can make your weapons stronger and give them magical attributes by using the alchemy, forges and many others.

The story of the game is again well made, when the Dragons return, and are having the leader an evil one, this just makes the game better and more enjoyable.

The quests are well implemented, and are generated in a dynamic way so it doesn't feel that the story is forced.

In the game play the dragon fights are very well implemented, and you have great finishing moves for each kill, doesn't matter is a dragon, human, zombie, and so on.

The physics again are impressive, and feel realistic.

And most important feature of the experience, the shouts. They can be either learned from Greybeards, from walls and others.

The soundtrack? THE SOUNDTRACK?! It's pure awesomeness, the Dragonborn theme the best song I've ever heard in a game, same with the others, Jeremy Soule is a soundtrack genius! Can't say a bad thing about it.

The models and textures again are well made, high resolution an detailed, same with the map props, the lightning and shaders are good, despite on certain object or settings the shadows are looking weird.

So after all this, Skyrim is a masterpiece and really one of the best games ever, which met the highest expectations, and even surpassed them.

If you needed another recommendation in order to go buy Skyrim, here's one: The Elder Scrolls series of games are the best fantasy roleplaying games on the market. Period. The free-form nature of play, the deep and fleshed-out lore, the top-tier graphics, Skyrim is a fitting continuation of the Elder Scrolls legacy. It's a game you can sink more hours than would seem possible into.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. If i could rate more, i would. I thought oblivion was good (and it was) but then i bought skyrim. Actually i bought it for the console and PC. There is so much to explain. (See below)
    ~THE GOOD~
I like all TES games, and each continually develops. When i first bought skyrim, the first thing i noticed was the magic. Holy Hellicopter, they revamped the magic. There are so many more spells than before, all of them have better animations and artwork, just wow. They deserve an A+ on the magic bit. It all looks beter.
Next, the animations. I love the animations, and they have gotten better since Oblivion. Granted, i didnt play Oblivion as much as i wanted to, but the animations in both games are splendid. (More so in Skyrim).
The world. Every quest, every landmark, every Easter egg, every enemy, the items, weapons, spells, NPC's all fit into one big basket of perfect. The entire everything is perfect. It does get a bit boring if you dont have an active quest (Just kidding, go kill some dragons, or explore the random events.)
    ~THE BAD~
    1. Bugs (Its a sandbox game, there are always bugs. Deal with it.)
    2. IF YOU HAVE A BAD COMPUTER, DONT COMPLAIN ABOUT THE F*ING GRAPHICS.
    3. Also dont complain aout the UI. Its amazing, and is not a console port, or whatever.
    4. IF YOU HAVE A BAD COMPUTER, DONT COMPLAIN ABOUT THE F*ING GRAPHICS.
    5. This is not an MMO where you can "Switch Weapons/spells 1-5. Its made to be more realistic, and a hotbar would ruin the freedom. (For example, dual weilding.)

Beautiful graphics surrounding the game, fun quests that never seem to end! You just do what you want when you want, it's so free unlike other role-play games. Only thing i don't like is that some of the side quests are easier or more interesting than the main quest, but that doesn't matter really. I wish the DLC was cheaper. The main quest line is involving, and rather interesting. It takes about 10 or more hours to finish, and even that is so much more than most games that are released. However, Skyrim by no stretch of the imagination is only 10 hours long. It easily carries 300 hours of immersive, fun, and high quality gameplay. There is not only the main story to complete here. There are guild quests which pack the same storytelling qualities as the main quest line. There are a plethora of side quests, and misc quests to complete. And even after all that there is still the leveling of your character, and the deep crafting mechanics implemented into the game. The exploration in this game is also very deep. Having a large amount of interesting and varied environments to explore. Definitely a lot better than oblivion's very familiar looking dungeons, and areas. The variety, and detail in a game as huge as Skyrim really shows Bethesda's passion, and patience. The variety in weapons and armor however, to me, is dissatisfying. There is a good amount. However by the time you get your character into the higher levels, it feels as if there are very limited armor choices. The armors do look great but I wish there were more armors and weapons honestly. The weapon variety is definitely way greater than the armor variety, but still not as good as it can be. However, despite that minor complaint, overall Skyrim boasts a ridiculous amount of content in a single package. This game is well worth 60 dollars, considering that there are 7 hour games with no replay value sold at the same price.

So the game definitely shines in the content department. Boasting an easy 300 hours (even more if you add mods). But how does it do in the game play department? I'm happy to say the combat is the slickest it's ever been in an elder scrolls game. It feels great, and the combat is mostly fun. However, if you're playing a one handed character of some sort, the combat does start getting rather boring at higher stages of the game. Not only that, but when you are high level, you are god like. meaning during later stages of the game it is very difficult to get killed if playing on the default or lower difficulties. Despite this shortcoming the combat overall is fun, and satisfying. As for bugs, the game doesn't have many. Bethesda has done an excellent job of patching a lot the bugs that plagued the game in its early incarnation. At this stage in Skyrim's life cycle, it is the best performing game in Bethesda's catalog. Having minimal bugs, and glitches. But the inventory UI is awful on PC. The UI in general is awful on the PC. I needed a mod instantly in order to be able to use the inventory. The UI is honestly a rather significant part of a game like this. So I must say that it is really bad, and Bethesda should really have put a little more time into a PC version of the clearly console biased interface. Overall, the game feels great, and really does well in the gameplay mechanics. Something that previous elder scroll games didn't really achieve. But they really should have thought about that user interface.

Honestly, I can go on for hours about this game and its amazing features. That's literally how huge it is. Huge like my hand. It's a masterpiece. A marvel of modern gaming. some of my complaints (not many at all) are rather nitpicky. However, everything has its flaws, especially something with this kind of scope (The game not my hand). Anyway it feels like Ive been here for hours. I'm sure there's a lot I missed, but just go buy the game if you haven't played it already. It's pretty incredible.

This game is an absolute masterpiece. I have not encountered any glitches or crashes so far. The more and more you play, the more addicting the game gets. With spectacular graphics and an adventure you'll never forget. I would say Skyrim is one of the best games I have ever played.

I never give a 10 score out but this one is deserving. After 400 hours of play and a constant urge to replay over and over again.....what's not to like. There are too many reviews to waste my time adding a 5000 character review so I'll jump to what matters:
Bethesda.....please make an inventory system that doesn't suck. Make SkyUI part of your future games. Your welcome!

Those who know the series know that the main quest has always been a weak point in TES, all the interest is in the exploration and side-quests, which are very numerous and interesting.

I would rate it 9, but I will 10 it because of all the trolls and laughable hipsters rating 0, 1 or 2.
Don't go see console players reviews of this game, people buying a TES on console are just... stupid. This is a RPG and despise the fact that the game was developed on consoles, it's definitely meant to be played of PC. What's more, the modding community for this game is huge and talented, if something doesn't please you or lacks in the base game, you can be sure you will find it on modding community's sites.
TES V Skyrim is a very good game and an excellent RPG that I highly recommend to everybody wanting to go on a fantastic journey.

If I was forced to only play one game for the rest of my life then Skyrim would be it.

    Alright, here's what's great
    - The landscape is absolutely breathtaking and very accurately reflects the real-world Scandinavian environments from which it was taken..
    - The storylines are well-written and engaging,
    - The armor and weapons are sufficiently Norse and generally avoid the silly 'fantasy' look (way oversized weapons and backwards-curving spikes etc) that make so many other fantasy games look absurd.
    - A combat system that allows you to go weapon-shield, 2-hander, double weapon, spell-weapon, or double spell.
    - Character design that avoids warrior, wizard, thief class-system altogether and lets you customize exactly how you want.
    - Playable werewolves! There are vampires also if you are a Twilight fan although to be honest, vamps feel completely out of place in a Norse setting and should all be destroyed.
    - DLC's and player mods that keep things interesting for YEARS of gameplay.

    Here's what sucks
    - Typical Bethesda bugginess. Most of this has been fixed by now and there are always work-arounds for the PC but sometimes you will still run into something that is aggravating.
    - Combat is WAY too easy at high levels even on hard setting. Do yourself a favor and get a player mod that makes high-level enemies tough again.

That's it really. This is the best fantasy adventure game ever made.
    The end.
    - DLC's and player mods insure that the game goes on and is repayable many times.

The story about dragons was just plain awesome, the actual dragon fights were not though. I dread meeting a dragon in the wilderness, it's always the same thing over and over again and the fighting mechanic is quite broken, as dragons won't land if they don't have a piece of flat around, which makes killing them pretty much impossible. Once they are on the ground though they are easier to kill than a bear, which is quite pathetic.
The world of Skyrim on the other hand is a joy to be in, just walking down the slopes of Skyrim's mountains and taking in the amazing scenery while thinking about all those quests, dungeons and things to do there are in those flatlands under you is enough to give this game a ten out of ten. The lore is is in abundance here as always with many books to read and stories to be heard from locals. I guess the graphics don't even need mentioning, they are simply stunning if you've got the rig for it.
I would definitely recommend this game to anyone that's reading this, the only true problem the game has is ironically it's main feature the dragons. Lest also not forget the great modding community and mods that are traditionally available for an Elder Scrolls game.

Desde que comencé mi afición a los videojuegos con mi viejo VIC-20, después con el Commodore 64 y hasta la fecha, Skyrim es el mejor juego de todos los que han sacado. Absolutamente impresionante en todos los aspectos.

Simply the best game ever made. Of course I say this every time a new Elder Scrolls game comes out. I have 825 hours logged in steam. And yet there are still things I have yet to do. Nothing else comes close in terms of breadth and depth. If you like sandbox RPGs, this is a must play.

This game is a 'near perfect' game. Does not deserve a full 10, but does not deserve below a 9. I'd give it a 9.7 for PC, and a little lower on console, due to the mods that PC provides that enhances the performance and detail. The content that this game provides is enormous. Actually, enormous doesn't even explain it.

People complain about the bugs in this game, and yes it does have quite a few bugs, but that's to be expected in a world that is so immerse like Skyrim.
There are many side quests, my favourite is the Thieves Guild storyline, which, in my opinion is better than the main story itself.
Putting in more than 200 hours only, I still haven't seen, explored and conquered everything, and whoever 100% completes this game, they deserve a cookie.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. This is a game that I was really excited to play. Having played its predecessor, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, and hearing amazing things about this game, I decided to get it over the summer in 2012. Much like Oblivion, Skyrim gives you a massive fantasy world to do whatever you want, and allows you to influence it however you want. So, is this game theThe Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. So, is this game the amazing experience I was promised, or will I have to shout this game to pieces? Let's find out! The gameplay of this game can be explained by what I said earlier: you get to live another life in a fantasy world that you can do whatever you want in, and influence however you choose. As I said, you can literally do whatever you want in this game. You can choose to help or harm the citizens of Skyrim, choose which dungeons you wish to explore, craft potions and armor, or you can just wander throughout Skyrim looking for something to do. Literally, whatever you want to do in Skyrim, you can do it. Whether you are a heroic or villainous character is all up to you. Skyrim is an RPG, so you can expect tons of role-playing game elements as you play the game. You get to create your own character from the start of the game using an amazing character creator. You can decide exactly how your character will look from a variety of options, and it is very simple and easy to use. After you play through the game's first quest, you are free to do what you want in Skyrim. You can play however you choose, whether it be aggressive, magic-based, or stealthy. As you use your character's skills enough times in the game, they will increase in level. Once you level up your skills enough, your overall level will increase. This allows you to increase your character's health, magic, or stamina (once again, this is totally your choice as to which you increase), by ten points. You also get a perk, which you can distribute to one of your skills, that will give it an additional ability. The leveling system is very addictive to say the least, and will probably keep you playing for hours on end. There are also tons of quests to do in Skyrim, further adding to the replay value. Overall, the gameplay in this game is just about the most fun you could possibly have in a video game. As for the graphics, they are every bit as amazing as the gameplay itself. This game boasts a much better graphics engine than Oblivion, and it shows. Everything in Skyrim is decorated with an incredible amount of detail, and makes the game look every bit as good as it plays. From the flora and fauna in the forests of Skyrim, to the cities and towns, to the many dungeons and dragons in the game, this game looks amazing. It also boasts an incredible day and night cycle, along with a weather system, further adding to the game's beauty. As for the story, this game actually has many stories in one. It all depends on what you are looking for. You could always follow a quest's storyline, or you could create a story of your own. This game does have a main quest, in which you are the chosen one, and you must find out why dragons are returning to the world of man. On top of that, you must kill a giant black dragon named Alduin, who's primary goal is to destroy the world. It is a bit of a cliched story, but the way it is told is very original. You will understand why when you play it. There are also factions you can join which have their own stories. Those stories are generally just you joining a faction and doing missions for them until their leader is killed and you rise to become the new leader. However, the way these stories are told is also original. There are also plenty more different kinds of quests in this game, or you can just wander throughout Skyrim, creating your own story for your character. You don't even have to do these quests if you don't want to. Overall, no matter what you decide to do for your character's stories, this game will be amazing either way. Overall, this game was, and still is one of the greatest video games I have ever played. If you do not own this game, you need to get it now. I can easily recommend this game to just about anyone who wants to play a video game. If you do not own this game, you must buy it now! Also, be sure to get the Legendary Edition of this game. That version includes this game, plus all of its DLC (downloadable content).

In this game, you'll be sent back to the times where people fought with swords and bows. A brilliant setting, if you ask me.
The game lets you do whatever you want.

You can customize your character to your own style, own personal favorite race, and you'll be able to fight any style you want.

11/10 actually, I've played over 250h of Skyrim so far and I must say It's the game I mostly want to continue when I come back home from work.

It's exciting how much you can actually just be yourself and the world around you reacts to very little details of your choices. This game could be even higher rated if there wasn't that paid mods problem in the past, but I'm glad I can freely

It's the most amusing game that I'm still playing, and probably one of the most exciting games I've played so far.

Waiting for "The Elder Scrolls VI: Cyrodill" or something with Dwemer, Talos and the Brass Tower.

But, and here it comes, when I walked back towards the cave's exit, he obviously was still sitting there, doing nothing, being nothing but a loser. And at that same moment, a horrible urge occurred to me. I just couldn't help it.. I couldn't control it. I sneaked right to him, standing behind him, looking at his stupid sorry ass head. I raised my Whiterun axe as high as I could above my skull and with all the power I had, I slammed it into his. A terrible deed, I know. Still I exited that cave with a big smile on my face. That's what I call being a true Dark Elf. End of nonsense. Expand

This game is beautiful, breathtaking, and rich with graphics and story line alike. The in depth details like books and stories laying all over the expansive world will drag you into little things that don't even have anything to do with the storyline. I don't know how many times I've turned this game on, just to find some random area to take screenshots because of how beautiful it looks.

The dungeons are intense sometimes. I don't know what it is, but the creators sure made it so that somehow walking your character down into the depths of one of these dungeons/caves, makes you feel tense and ready for an attack. Half the time it feels as though I'm holding my breath and I need to remember to breath (I'm also kind of a wimp though, I'll admit that freely)

The dragons are beautiful. I can't even begin to explain how amazing I think they are. Someone put in a great amount of work and detail to create them. With such an expansive world map, I always feel like I'm going to find something they just skipped over and decided to not bother with putting detail into it, but I have yet to find something. Even the tiniest blade of grass has detail.

I have yet to come across any bugs that inhibit me from playing the game the way it was meant to be played. The game hasn't frozen, glitched, or anything to be expected with a bad bug, so I've quite enjoyed what I have received as a game.

I am definitely looking forward to more from this sequel of games. The Elder Scrolls have not failed me yet.

The gameplay, while simplified from past games, is fantastic and balances out the appeal of the game, it is easy for casual players to learn, while also being complex enough for more hardcore players. Unfortunately, Skyrim trips and falls on its own (most probably, to make the cool-sounding deadline of 11-11-11) and just before it reaches perfection as the ultimate specimen of its genre, it self-destructs in a crucial aspect of game design: the interface and the peripheral components (inventory, journal, map, etc)... but that is not to say that Skyrim is anything but a truly majestic, epic RPG that will suck you right in its cosmos.
