    Having a blast with this game. People expected this to be a full on space sim but clearly didn't pay attention to how transparent bethesda was about the game mechanics. It takes a couple hours to get into really opening the universe but it's definitely worth it. The more you play the more the game gives you is true. I'd say first and foremost it's an RPG with the ability to have spaceHaving a blast with this game. I'd say first and foremost it's an RPG with the ability to have space battles ship building base building and exploration. Not a full on sim so don't expect to play it like other space Sims. My only gripe so far is some loading screens seem unnecessary, like going into small shops within the city or loading into a tiny cave from the surface of a planet. I hope they are able to procedurally generate those in the future without having to load in even though it's literally a 1.5 second black screen. I definitely recommend this game and cannot wait to see what modders do with it as well.

    Huge game... Has more cotent on 1 or 2 side quests than most of the entire "conematographic" games out there... Its a must play for ant rpg fans... Enjoy it on Xbox, Pc or anywhere Else thanks tô Microsoft!!

    De lo mejor de Bethesda en estos últimos años. Tiene algo de parecido a Fallout y Elder scrolls pero con un nuevo universo. Es un mundo enorme para explorar y hay mucho por hacer. Sin duda es uno de los juegos que debes probar si o si. Olviden la guerra de consolas y denle una oportunidad a este juego.

Game is honestly an 8.5 to me but because fanboy Sony ponies want to review bomb this new IP cuz they super jelly I gave it a 10… wish I had more flight options planet side with the space ship the bugs I have experienced on series x have been minimal haven’t had it crash(knock on wood). Gameplay is solid story was good (I would recommend focusing on main story first play through). This game has massive upside can’t wait for the mods.… Expand

    Took some time to get use too. Excellent game and so much fun! Don't be discouraged by the 0 scores by the Sony fan boys or just the haters. If you don't want to pay full price just get it on game pass. I bought it after I found out how much you can do in the game.

    Decided to make a Metacritic Account just to post this review, because I sincerely believe Starfield is the game of the decade. The criticisms are all nonsense. This is a wonderful Bethesda RPG, and one of the most engaging, cinematic experiences ever produced. Pick it up for yourself and see what I mean.

They might also be playstation users who are butthurt that they can't play it on playstation (I don't agree with that move by Bethesda/Microsoft, but it's their decision). As for the game.     classic Bethesda fun, really brings me back to playing their games while growing up. 10/10 would recommend. I am loving the game. I loved the Fallout series, and this game scratches that itch, with better gun-play. Not sure why some man-children are sending kids to down-vote the game. It is fun, and does exactly what I want a video game to do... occupy my time, and keep me entertained. Itclassic Bethesda fun, really brings me back to playing their games while growing up. 10/10 would recommend. I am loving the game. The Sonyites attacked the PC Master Race in glorious fashion, as is their right, and they defended themselves in kind, but ultimately, it was all meaningless, because there is never justification for War, or hate, and in the end, War Never Changes, countless bodies pile up, the old turns to new, the new turns to old, and history always repeats itself.

Esse jogo já me prendeu por mais de 40 horas mas ainda sinto que falta, e muito, a ser explorado nesse universo gigantesco e cheio de possibilidades. O nível de detalhes em qualquer lugar que você chegue para explorar, os diálogos dentro das missões que parecem nunca se repetir, o nível de interação com o cenário, as batalhas espaciais, aquele combate espetacular, as personalizações quase infinitas do personagem, da nave e do combate... São tão pontos positivos dentro desse universo que eu gastaria pelo as 5000 mil letras e não seriam suficientes pra descrever como esse jogo é GRANDIOSO, a Bethesda se superior novamente e nos trouxe um RPG com um nível de imersão que só havia sido visto em SKYRIM, só que agora em uma escala universal com tantas possibilidades que não pode ser zerado apenas uma vez o New Game+ é praticamente obrigatório para qualquer um que jogar, as possibilidades de persuasão, de combate, a exploração, as missões secundárias, as decisões dentro do jogo (que realmente alteram o quê vai acontecer) são só alguns dos recursos que impedem esse jogo de ficar monótono… Expand

Quanto mais vc joga, mais vc quer continuar naquele universo, explorando, criando entreposto, ajudando os npcs daquele universo e até esquece das Quests principais. Olha o tamanho dessa área desse planeta e vc pensa "caralho, tem mais uma porrada de galáxia que eu nem fui ainda". Starfield é o maior jogo que já tive o prazer de jogar e pra vc que gosta de falar mal do jogo, só resta falar mal mesmo, pq a grande maioria vai lá, joga e percebe que tudo que vcs estão propagando são asneiras.     It’s very clear that many of the negative reviews left here are from bot accounts and/or people who have not yet played the game. Starfield has far surpassed my expectations. I have already played over 30 hours and have enjoyed every second. Starfield is definitely a slow burn and takes a few hours to build up. However, when it does build up, it is a masterpiece.

All the things that go right for the game far outweigh the negatives to me. I own probably over 100 RPGs, and this one really makes space exploration fun. In the beginning I found myself latching onto a side quest that took me 5 hours before I returned to the main mission. I just kept meeting new elements to interact with and had like 3 random events that fed organically enough into each other that I kept exploring. Some items get repetitive after a few dozen hours, but the core concept of "giant space opera RPG exploration" does it well. This is what I've wanted ever since watching 2001 A Space Odyssey. I can understand how someone could give this game a 6/7 for average comparison to other games...but this game has far to much work put into it to make anything below that.… Expand

    This game is so large that I felt like it had infinite story content for the first 30 hours of my playtrough but without me playing any of the main quests it also runs decent on a 3070 laptop which is really good for a game optimized for amd tldr: best game I have ever played

The mid reviews are probably mostly legit. Among these are veteran gamers that expect amazing things from new games. These people generally have a very critical eye and see flaws before fun. That’s fine and I totally understand where they’re coming from. That being said, many had the wrong expectations like expecting a fully fledged space sim, which this was never promised to be. Another criticism are the loading screens (which are mere seconds by the way), which for anyone actually familiar with creation engine games knows is standard. I wonder how people can claim to have loved Skyrim and the Fallouts and then act like they are surprised and annoyed about this. The great reviews are from those that are genuinely having fun with the game. They’re from those who always loved Bethesda RPGs by and had healthy expectations for the game. 10/10 doesn’t mean perfect, but it does mean that people are having a 10/10 experience. My advice to anyone who wants to enjoy this: Enjoy it for exactly what it is: A highly polished Bethesda RPG set in space with a solid story, fun side quests and great activities. Immerse yourself in the world and leave your 2023 cynicism behind. Games are about escapism. Have fun!    … Expand

    Manually landing and travelling from planet to planet is fun at the beginning, but then become boring in the long term.     The graphics are stunning (on PC, it's better to use a custom LUTs mod called "NaturaLUTS" to remove the green filter and have better contrast), the dynamic weather is stunning, every single planet and asteroid are dynamically orbiting, so what you see is actually the current state of the system, and the game even has eclipses...

    I'll put a 10/10 just to balance the wrong/incorrect reviews.    … Expand

    What it does do well is tells a proper narrative supported by fully voiced dialogue even has lore via voice recordings ala bioshock style with some comedic elements.    Game is honestly a jack of all trades master of none. No it isnt landing and take off and fly through to landing or space and it isnt a whole world generated but tiles that you can loot and discover handcrafted content on.

    What it does do well is tells a proper narrative supported by fully voiced dialogue even has lore via voice recordings ala bioshock style with some comedic elements. Sprawling handcrafted cities that are fully explorable and more. All the mechanics looting and crime, respect and hate, companionship, lock picking, factions, quests that even have a backstory (even though some are random as hell.) Base and ship building you can even own a fleet of ships and make your own trade routed to automatically farm other resources from multiple outposts on multiple planets. The game is huge.

    Proper physics like gravity, items stay where you place them and gravity has a huge effect on derelict ships in space.

    There are some things people get over dramatic about, little things that should not even matter "this random population city generated npc is looking at me funny" there are hundreds of "random" generated npcs dont expect them all to look handcrafted like main story ones. "You cant explore the planet and it has borders" have you ever walked too france from the uk, newsflash true 1 to 1 walking sucks.

    Game is beautiful, good graphics and clever usage of light effects ray traced shadows and sprawling landscapes that have there physical feel too them.

    Lots to do feels like. Masseffect, bioshock, star citizen, no mans sky, fallout in space all wrapped into 1 neat package.

    If you like any of them games you will love starfield.

    But why a 10 you say? Because it seems like every other pony sock a count is downvoting from what i experienced to be a solid game that deserves better then stupid people downvoting it cause its not in there piece of plastic its pathetic. Ps. Ignore jim sterling (jimquisition), meritstation and ign US reviews. Ive read them and there is all sorts of lying going on sterling said "No Man’s Sky’s randomly generated worlds may have been rather soulless, but at least you didn’t explore identical buildings and identical caves full of identical furnishings and identical encounters" Ive played nms since its launch and everything jim said there is a utter lie.    … Expand

    ive played about 20 hours. game is very fun. stories and missions are so far entertaining. it's definitely not a 10/10 but doing my part to counter the dumb 0/10 reviews. it's a 7.5-8/10 for me. if you enjoy fallout or Skyrim you'll love the missions and. similar gameplay. lots of looting, very Bethesda style. fighting enemies and stealing ships is fun. everyone is mentioning excessiveive played about 20 hours. game is very fun. stories and missions are so far entertaining. it's definitely not a 10/10 but doing my part to counter the dumb 0/10 reviews. it's a 7.5-8/10 for me. if you enjoy fallout or Skyrim you'll love the missions and. similar gameplay. lots of looting, very Bethesda style. fighting enemies and stealing ships is fun. everyone is mentioning excessive loading which I'm not really noticing myself but am running 7900xtx and 7950x cpu. so could be worse for others.… Expand

Starfield exceeded all my expectations for the next great Bethesda rpg.. no game is perfect and there are a few tweaks that could help like better inventory management, favoriting planets, city maps etc.. however none of these missing quality of life features are taking me out of this immersive experience.

Seems like the game is really being crushed by PC players who are bootyhurt that their system is struggling with the game, while simultaneously complaining that the game isn't complex enough. Realistically Starfield is a 9 or 9.5 out of 10 for me, but I'm putting a 10 up to try and at least balance out the 0's and 1's from these spoiled crybabies that have absolutely no respect for the clearly apparent thousands of hours of work and TLC the developers put into making this game, only for some basement trolls to floor it on metacritic with unreasonably low scores that should only go to games like ET on colecovision...    … Expand

    Esse jogo é o bixo! Sensacional! Joguei em diferentes lugares, tanto no PC quanto no Console (XBSX) e até no Game Pass Ultimate. A imersão do jogo é incrível a medida que você vai avançando!     If you like games that you can play for hours upon hours without getting bored, then Starfield may be what you’re looking for. The amount of missions/activities in this game is astounding. Not to mention the pretty much endless exploration Starfield offers.

It will only get better even with its faults. I have to give it a 10 to counter the unfair 0s and 1s its getting from toxic gamers. I am a PS5 owner and playing this game on PC since I do not own an Xbox. It's a beautiful game evenI like this game.     Graficamente se queda atras comparandolo con juegos actuales, o de 3 años atras, espero que lo arreglen con actualizaciones. Es un juego inmenso, y muy bien ambientado, hace falta jugar muchas horas para meterte dentro de su historia, pero una vez dentro, es espectacular. Hacia tiempo que se me olvidaba hasta de comer jugando. No le doy el 10 por la falta de optimizacion grafica, queGraficamente se queda atras comparandolo con juegos actuales, o de 3 años atras, espero que lo arreglen con actualizaciones.     El juego es una maravilla, pesado para maquinas antiguas si. Envidia para los Piperos, también. Es un lujazo tanto en la belleza de los paisajes como la personalización de todo lo que rodea. Tiene guiños a películas de ciencia ficción.

    Un gran juego lastima que la envidia sea mala e insana, para todos aquellos que no tienen el juego y comentan.

Als gelegentlicher Star Citizen Spieler und generell Weltraum-Interessierter weiß ich, dass diverse Planten nunmal "leer" und Wege lang sind. Das sollte man eigentlich auch generell über den Weltraum wissen...

    Amazing story, weapon and ship combat is great. 50hrs in and still doing interesting quests. Few frame drops in and around New Atlantis tho.

    This is a good evolution of the Bethesda formula, the character traits and starting background variety really sell the RP aspect of this game.
    It isn't Daggerfall, but the massive planets dotted with caves are pretty fun to run around in. Scanning things is addictive.
    The gameplay is like skyrim, so its obvious fun. Its simple, but fun.
    The crafting is nice The weird skills like "gastronomy" certainly add something.
    Thed ship customization is awesome.

    The bad:
    No mini maps in caves, fix this please
    Some of my friends had some really bad performance issues
    The books ive run into are all "excerpts" this is a downgrade from skyrim and its ilk, where they are NOT excerpts they are full books.

    Loving the game so far! Already beat it and have done New Game+ as well. Completed most faction quest lines and found them enjoyable and more like mini main quests than previous titles where it's obvious they are merely side quests strung together. I was a little let down that it didn't have seamless landing and takeoff from planets such as in no man's sky but it's not the worst thingLoving the game so far!     Les bugs j'en ai rencontré qu'un seul sur une quête pour laquelle j'ai réussi à la régler. Il ne mérite pas toutes ces notes négatifs de joueur mécontents ou danti starfield cachés. Ce jeu mène à la discorde entre 2 parties surtout. Étant sur pc la guerre des consoles m'importe guère, seul le jeu m'intéresse, et il est bon. je pourrais passer la journée dessus

    I fell in love with Starfield. It's my cup of sci-fi and I can't wait to spend the next thirty, fifty, maybe seventy hours here. I enjoy the exploration, the shootouts, the art style, the ship building, and the diverse worlds. I gratefully acknowledge the good optimization and the absence of major bugs. But I can't overlook the flaws. There are bad animations, ugly faces and repetitive moments.[Issue#329]

    In a year dominated by sequels to franchise favorites, there was a hope that Starfield would carve its own path to success. While the team at Bethesda should be commended for taking such a big swing, there’s no denying that the game doesn’t feel like a cohesive work. Maybe continued support and future sequels will make something more meaningful out of a work that is clearly deeply enamored with both science fiction and space exploration. Unforunately, this first launch has had far more mixed results than desired.
