    MP only (battlefield with star wars paint job) game that it's not worth the money, even at $10. And they are asking for waaaaaaay more + BS DLC. EA = license abusers.

    I wish I would have noticed the 24 hour refund policy on EA games before it was too late. Now I have extreme buyer's remorse. This game is just awful. It has about as gameplay depth and replayability as Pac Man.

    Worst game i ever played. OK.. its star wars feeling, but after 10 matches its so boring.. unbelievable.. DONT BUY THIS GAME.. it waste your time and money!

    Game is complete trash and a rip off. Not even worth your time. Nobody plays the season pass, which was $50. The weapons are extremely unbalanced and spawn points are terrible. The enemy team can get behind your spawn and just snipe you. Not to mention the jetpack which allow players on top of the map with unlimited sniper shots. There is a bug since launch where you wont get a partnerGame is complete trash and a rip off. Not even worth your time. Nobody plays the season pass, which was $50.     This is a freaking Battlefield 4 clone with a Star Wars skin on it. I knew this going in, but figured I'd see what it has to offer. Is it fun? Yes. Is it what it should've been ? No. Is it worth 60$? No. Is it worth having a season pass with 5 dlc's costing nearly as much as the game? Most certainly not.     The only thing this game has going for it is the graphics.

    Looks stunning and plays smoothly, but it kind of makes me feel like I'm playing the FPS version of a GTA game that only has two roads.

    The "It's like being at Hoth" factor is undeniable. Great graphics, sounds, models... Great memories while playing. But I don't feel like playing again tonight. It's weird. But once you've tasted all... Hmmmm

    ¡It lacks a proper 1p mode and a more tactical multiplayer one!

    Uninspired, boring, repetitive.. must I continue? Star Wars Battlefront has some of the worst gameplay mechanics out of any AAA shooter I have ever played. Under its stunning visuals and great audio, lies a terrible game. Nowhere near worth $60.

    I wanted this game to be good so much... But the callous greed of EA just butchered this game. It feels like this game is just a small slice of the game it's supposed to be. It has fewer gameplay mechanics, fewer playable characters, fewer maps, fewer everything (by far) than the previous games.    Because of the pretty graphics and decent frame rate I'll give this game a 2 rather than 0.

    Total phenomenal pice of garbage. EA stand no more for Electronic Arts, but for Elusive Actions and DICE, who the fok is DICE, do they still creates games ?

    P.s: can't wait to offer this garbage game to my ex girlfriend as a parting gift~

    This game has amazing graphics and sound. That's about all it has.
    It lacks content, which was cut out and will be released as DLC for the price of the game. So if you want a full game you must pay twice the price.
    Game is shallow and empty, after a few hours you will be bored.

    In the new DLC, they introduce overpowered guns like EE4, cards like Disruption which instantly overheat your gun, and shock grenade that locks you on the ground for some 2 seconds even if you spam R key...     Since the day before yesterday, ppl start to jump into the enemy, use disruption card, and then rape the fking whole group of ppl up with EE4. It is not unusual for one guy to kill some 10 ppl with these overpowered sh*ts. EE4 alone is so overpowered in close combat already, 5 shoot burst with so much damage, it's two shot kill, instant kill! it rapes EE3 down to the ground, up to the sky, and then back to the ground again. Now everyone who purchased the DLC is switching to EE4, and I only managed to kill those ppl a few times using EE3.

    This is so bad. This is pay to play, pay extra to win. Fk off EA, Fk off Dice, Fk off Start War Battlefront. I played Dice games since BC2, and nvr lose my faith even playing that unfinished BF4 ffs. But today, I'm done with this. Go fk yourself with your money grabber EA, karma will fk you back soon enough.    … Expand

    Graphics are great, gameplay is non existent. There is NO game to be played here. This is a BF reskin but with 85% of the cool things stripped out. You can tell the rushed it in time for the Holiday and the movie. Save your time and money, avoid this like the plague it is.

    I found a clip online of someone going 66/1 in a game and went, Wow! That must've taken alot of skill, NOPE! First time I picked this up I was going 30 kills without a death every game, minimum, because I was killing children.
    It's just awful, if this is the way games are going, then after two decades of hardly missing a title, I might finally be putting down the controller

    The Graphics are 99/10 but the gameplay is -100/10.
    This game is made for the casual gamer, just join a game shoot, run and game over or win...no tactic, no thinking just hit your left mouse button and the wasd-keys...     The demo staging, misrepresented gameplay highly. This is a common fps, there is no narrative flavor, as the previews would have you believe. Rush in, fight , die, use resources as they become available.

    Most game modes have 4 maps only. Other modes have 7 tiny maps.
    Lack of weapons. Servers are super bad (lag spikes on my 80/80 mbit connection)
    Poor map design (unbalanced) The power pick up is super stupid. No classes. Why is Droids vs Clones not a thing? Probably some overpriced DLC.     After reading the reviews, wherein everyone praised the graphics but criticize the overall gameplay and repetitive gameplay with almost no innovation apart from the elements of typical FPS multiplayer like COD or Battlefield; I am glad that i didn't buy it and opted for AC: Syndicate.

    Good graphics and sound.

    Cons:
    No server browser.
    No Conquest.
    No spawn selection.
    No balancing / admins.
    No space combat.
    Only 4 maps.
    No single player.

    Buy for no more than 10 bucks.

Trust me you will get bored after 30 minutes of playing it once you realise there is no complexity to this game outside of just pointing and shooting at something.     Half cocked game that fell flat on its face. Nothing of note. Fighters underutilized, map choice abhorrently small for such an expensive game. Not worth even $40 and the DLC cost is a riot. Thanks for taking all of our hopes and smashing them back into our faces with this game.

And yet EA surprised me once again, this game has completely no content whatsoever, they ask 70 euro for 12 maps based on 4 planets and troopers without helmets( why pay for additional models if you can just remove headgear and copy rebels heads right ?). The game doesn't feature the simples campaing and has no space battles, HELL you cant even control the AT-AT anymore, all you get to do is sit in the cockpit and shoot.

    But fear do not, cause as you can predict EA does have more content coming up, it is of course being held to ransom and you can get next 4 DLC's with season pass for 60 euro, hopefully they'll feature more than one map.

    As usual Bethesda Activision Konami and other can sleep calm at night, knowing their despicable actions against gaming community will be forgotten thanks to EA's new crude and disgusting attempt of grab of customers money with yet another shoddy release of always thinner in content popular bound to sell product everyone's been waiting for and now are again disappointed.

    If ill want to play a game actually filled with something more than run and gun Ill probably dust of some old titles like Republic Commando or Moviebattles mod for Jedi Knight 3. These are examples of properly done games.

    I applaud you EA, you got the only simplest SW title to release, that couldnt be dulled down or broken and yet you outdone yourself turning it into total poo. Well Done.    … Expand

Everything that i liked in SW Battlefront 2 is missing here - the conquest, the bots to play when there is no one around, the space battles with entering the star destroyers. The weapons are impotent, the vehicles and the heroes are random, the maps are bad made. The whole game feels like free arcadeI'm really disappointed. I expected at least the quality of the previous battlefront game.     Okay...it's pretty. That's about it. The fact that this is a multiplayer game with no campaign mode takes it out of my sphere of interest. EA not everybody wants to play online with other people! Take a hint before you make your next multiplayer only game.

That'll die off in a few hours or days. After that, you'll see all of the holes the game has. Sure, it's absolutely stunning and playing it does make you feel like you are in the Star Wars universe. After you get beyond that you start noticing the problems, weapons that are little discernible from each other, not being able to spawn on an aircraft (of which flying an x wing or tie was one of my biggest excitements for the game, the simple fact is it absolutely stinks to fly. Feels too arcady). Then you start seeing that the levelling system just to get a jump back takes a good 5 or so hours (level 13) and that the character customization and hands are little benefit and just some sideway glance perk. I returned it after playing prob around 5-10 hours of the beta and 4 of the full version. Point being, it lacks all of the things I was hoping for paying $80 bucks on a game to have. The other modes are nothing but fluff with Walker assault and the 4 maps in conquest style are interesting. Still, I'll save my money and get something else and wait for the price to drop.… Expand

    Alas the latest incarnation from DICE/EA failed to hit the mark for me in a number of areas.

    Game play is very repetitive and after 15 hours I don't see much point in carrying on playing with only emotes and skins to unlock.
    They have removed most of the "cool" things from the series like Space Battles, galactic conquest and the clone wars era...Clone wars is a part of star wars even if it was not well received back in the day, would have made more sense to see some of the old Star Wars heroes/villains brought back for this reboot.
    I do feel a burnt after spending so much money on this title, I see no value for money and feels like a expensive cash grab.
    The game play makes me think of old call of duty with constant grenade spam and one sided fights, no classes so you can't switch on the fly to the changing battle.
    Lack of customization, yeah you can unlock different skins but most all look the same and only result in a head/hair change.
    Think the game has a total of 15 weapons to unlock which is just not enough.
    The game feels like a slice of burnt toast, it runs like butter and looks great covered in cheese but it tastes awful and only lasts a short while.
    Really expected a lot more EA/Dice, Disney need to give the licence to someone else,

    Its just pay to win! Its like you play cs:go and the ak deals more damage if you buy the deluxe edition of cs:go?!

    This is a perfect game if you have an hour to spare waiting for the wife to get ready to go out. Power on, run around with a lazer blaster, accomplish nothing, and turn off.

    this isn't battlefront no instant action no galactic conquest only 4 maps on bigger battles GO TO HELL EA and DICE too (unbelievable that the freeradical cancelled version was better)

    If this game had been a clone of Battlefield with Star Wars skins, that would have been great. At least, compared to what we got. The frostbyte engine is capable of delivering so much more than this. It's like they forgot about physics, destructable landscapes / buildings, and anything that would make the experience unique.     So the game gets 1 Point for the Star Wars Atmosphere but none for all the rest. It's shallow and doesn't make fun. I forced myself to play it a few hours but the only mode making really fun is Fighter Squadron and that only if you play the overpowered Rebels.

    * The aiming mechanic is terrible. It is a giant circle and the blaster bolts can hit anywhere within it. If you are hoping for some sort of skill in your shot than too bad. It feels pretty much randomized. There isn't any recoil so its point, click, spray, and pray.

    * Most of the game modes are for close quarters, small team combat which this game really sucks at. They are traditional FPS modes like team death match and capture the flag, but because the terrible aiming and nonexistent character classes it's just boring.

    * Star fighter game controls are terrible, especially if you use a mouse. They feel very sluggish and delayed. There is no way to roll. The game will force you to orient so that the ground is below you.

    I could go on but I'm getting tired of writing this now. For someone who pre ordered this game and could not get a refund I'm very disappointed.    … Expand

    I love Star Wars, and have played most of the starwars games. This one is pretty much flat and one-dimensional. It feels like bland generic high-school programming effort, with the "Star Wars" moniker attached. In a word: awful. Spend your money elsewhere.

    Picked it up on Origin despite the warnings. I tried. I tried really, really hard to like it. I loved BF 2. Let's start with the easy part that everyone can agree on: The graphics are absolutely stunning. The look of the game nails Star Wars. The limited number of maps means endless repetition unless you're willing to have content held hostage behind an artificially created paywallPicked it up on Origin despite the warnings. I tried. I tried really, really hard to like it. I loved BF 2. Let's start with the easy part that everyone can agree on: The graphics are absolutely stunning. The look of the game nails Star Wars. The limited number of maps means endless repetition unless you're willing to have content held hostage behind an artificially created paywall masquerading as an optional DLC. The fact that a season pass doesn't include all of the DLC is a little shady, at best. Not a big fan of the vehicle systems, but they're passable. I'm sure space battles might be included at some point (again, meaning a critical gameplay element would be locked behind pay to play).

    All of this might be somewhat excusable (I stress the word somewhat here) if there was a meaningful singleplayer experience to allow you to break the monotony of multiplayer matchmaking, but alas, this element (for whatever reason) was left out completely, and DICE never seemed to care about players' concerns about it. When a large enough player base demands it, you'd think they'd make it a bigger focus. Alas, singleplayer is relegated to a grind for credits and points that you'll use in multiplayer, but with such limited focus on the singleplayer experience to incentivize it, becomes little more than a chore, which is a crying shame, because BF2 had an exceptional singleplayer experience. While this may not be a big deal to a lot of folks now, in five years it may be if Battlefront's popularity wanes and the multiplayer experience becomes dead in the water.

    The matchmaking system also doesn't seem to work very well; I had trouble finding games (you'd think with the game still in a relatively new state, there'd be no trouble finding a game). This was an occasional issue, but enough to frustrate me into shutting it down, since I couldn't transition into a meaningful single player experience.

    Overall, the game lacks any meaningful staying power, suffers from poor gameplay, lacks diversity in game modes, and has an extremely pricey barrier to entry. I couldn't get a refund, because I tried to stick it out, which is a crying shame, because what I do now is fire up a singleplayer game of Battlefront 2.    … Expand

    Would be better if you could find a match. My usual routine is try one of the interesting game modes, try find a game for about 20 minutes, give up and play Blast, get bored after 15 minutes. Not enough stuff to unlock. Looks great but these days I'd rather play a game made of pixel art that has good reliable gameplay. So Battlefront gets 1 star.

Standard battlefield games bring more to the table at release than this pile of garbage. Buy it, play for a few hours then request your refund, that's about all it's worth.

    EA Battlefront is quite simply COD with lasers. There is never no coordination between team members, random deaths occur literally moments from being spawned into a map whether it be from a random grenade or air-strafing run, poor map design with people being spawned killed and no balance between the rebels and the empire.

    There is no single player to speak of, I will not be including Battlefront's "Missions, Tutorials and Horde modes' because they are not even considered value. On PC unless you sign up for "walker assault" you will not be able to join any game because there is NO ONE playing them. There are NET code issues which is keeping true to the usual EA server's which means unless your directly hooked into your modem your going to experience lag and disconnections to the servers.

    The weapons are pathetic as well as its progression system. Lasers are inaccurate and impossible to predict. The better weapons in the game are locked behind a leveling wall which means new players are going to be in for a rough time for the first 8 hours or so unless they of course quit by then. The card slots where equipment and perks is completely idiotic, 9/10 of them once again are obtained through useless grinding of levels and even then must obtain credits in order to purchase them.

    There is no balance within the game regarding the factions. Rebels get NO ground vehicles apart from a speeder on endor, the empire get a ATST which if is marched into a spawn zone will annihilate everyone within seconds. Aircraft within the game is also unbalanced. The rebels aircraft absolutely incinerate everything ground or air within seconds, the A-Wing is stupidly overpowered with a shield that regenerates faster then wolverine on meth.

    Battlefront is an insult to gaming and once again EA has delivered a very unoriginal and thought out game. Even if Battlefront was more like Battlefield 4 it would of been a better game then what it is now, clearly EA's targeted audience for this was young children sitting on the couch with their consoles because this is not a game for even your average gamer. The DLC and season pass for this game is so uninspiring and predicted as it cost almost the entire price of the base game. Sims 4 is a clear example of where EA games is heading in the next years with its overpriced DLC and outrageous practices and Battlefront is no exception.

    EA games have officially killed the sims series, killed Command and Conquer and now your just killed Star wars battlefront. Good on you ya **** wankers, hope your proud of your accomplishments. Sales of this game means nothing in comparison to how pissed off everyone is right now.    … Expand

    In short, I am very disappointed in the game.

    We all spent a lot of money on this game for so little replay value and overall content. I am also disgusted that we all have to fork out even more money to acquire content that should have been included in the initial release.

    No campaign, no space battles, lack of maps, stupid "star cards" system, get very boring very quickly (We have done about 38 hours with 4 people and we are all already sick of it), etc (The list goes on).

    The most annoying thing of all is that I could not, and cannot, refund it.

    I cannot say that it is all bad, the graphics and sound mechanics are unquestionably beautiful. They are just stunning and you can see a lot of effort was put in.

    But overall, I give this game 1/10 as it is just not what we wanted, they could have done so much better and to be frank I think they are just being greedy in the whole money aspect.    … Expand

I've already done port forwarding and went as far as using VPN's, but it's now impossible to get into a match that's even "5% FULL" only to be sucked into an "Empty Game" thinking no one wants to play this game anymore.

    Got this game on launch, was able to play only about 5 games between all this time. The reason? The matchmaking is broken as it can be. EA/DICE have gone dark and there are already reports stating that the majority of the team moved to Battlefield 5. So in other words, Broken Casual Game which won't be fixed. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this.

At least there was an actual skill ceiling with Quake 1.     Overall: 0/10 - Because they keep making the same games, change the theme, improve the graphics and charge $60. No thanks!

Star wars has a huge market, and they know they will make a killing selling parts of the game as dlc that should have been included in the first place. The original is 100x better.     I'm crying now because I waited a direct sequel to "Battlefront 2" for long ten years and now I get this extremely repetitive mercenary game for me as a fan is abusive pay that price for that content of **** DICE seems that you are not the same that created Battlefield 2142, Battlefield 2. In my opinion DICE died.

    Contentwise, the new maps underwhelmed me because of their tiny size and the number of available items is ridiculous. Lightsabre fights have never stood out in the Battlefront saga (not like in Jedi Academy at least), but it feels totally cheap and raw. It wouldn't have hurt to put some more effort into close combat.

    I finally got my refund (after getting an error for over 30 minutes at EA's website) and could not be happier. I was already considering the possibility because of how DICE and EA deal with expansion packs, where they basically annihilate the community, split it and render new content unusable.

    Whenever an EA game has no reviews at launch, it's already a bad sign. Consider the fact that EA is milking players with early access garbage and you KNOW it's a cash grab. This game is rushed to the market right before the next Star Wars movie comes out.

    Star Wars Battlefront sullies the name of another classic game. I wish EA would stop "reviving" classics. Please.

I am currently rank 13 and i do not plan to continue, played for 9-10 hours and i am already bored of it.     Here is an example: There is a game mode in which one person plays as a powerful hero/villain, and whoever kills him, becomes the next hero. One with the most kills wins. Sounds fun, right? WRONG. Whoever thought that it was a good idea to reward only the last hit on hero, should be fired and banned from the gaming industry. It takes hundreds of bullets to take down a hero, but only last one is rewarded. You could easily be the one who damaged the hero/villain most (and yes the game keeps track of who did the most damage and shows you at the end of the game) and still, you could easily be the last person on scoreboard without any hope of winning the game.

    Customization is another joke. Cosmetically, a few different faces is the only customization choice you will ever have.

    As a game developer, I respect that they implemented the core mechanics well (except for hero controls in my opinion) but there is not enough content to enjoy those mechanics. Honestly designing a few maps shouldn't take that long. They could at least make an epic story mode and it would kick ass with these graphics, sounds but that was a wasted potential.

    I doubt DLCs will give enough content of their worth if they think that this little content in the game is worth 60€.    … Expand

    A spaceship pew pew game with no joystick support is a no-go. It recognizes my Logitech Exteme 3D Pro's inputs but the layout is way off and there's no way to adjust it. WTF?

    Star Wars Battlefront looks and sounds great, and with Battlefield-class gameplay could have ruled the multiplayer galaxy. Unfortunately, at best OK-level, Battlefront-class gameplay is much too shallow to last long. And this is THE one license, which really needs a single player campaign. [Dec 2015]
