So, I played the game for 10Hours now.

This game is good ONLY because of Star Wars. The graphics/FX and sound design are amazing and provide you an authentic Star Wars experience. This is the reason why I played that much. The gamemodes are all the sames, expect Walker Assault and Firefight which are a bit different, all the other are classics
"capture that" or "kill that". The gameplay become boring very fast, it's like the level 0 of a skillbased FPS (which is not bad,
but it's kinda boring...). They cut EVERYTHING from what an old battlefront II fan wanted.

    No vehicles (expect AT/T TB/T)
No Campaign (only stupid survival missions vs waves...)
    No Galactic Conquest
    No other race than stormtroopers/Rebel.
No space Battle, only over planets.
Some few map (4 big map cut in many pieces)
And let's not talk about Jedi vs Sith battles which are completely brainless...
The customisation is dumb xD They didn't event made something great, you have the face of actual IG character (leila/luke/Han) and some hairstyle. Even that is bad and made fast...

I would PAY MILIONS for a battlefront II Remastered edition, but this game is just crap.
Take out Star Wars and it doesn't reach 3/10.

Now I'm sure that after 10 DLC, the game will be good, and most of this lack of content will be fullfieled, but I won't be part of it.
I have played enough with the EA access (that I bought for this reason, test crappy EA games (expect sports games) and not buy them), and I won't buy this crap.

While the gameplay is indeed shoot and gun (as all the FPS are), you have a sh*t ton of ways to play it. I had played the Beta for 20 hours. I admit I got bored in the end, but thats what happens when you play the same map and same mode for 20h straight.. The full release though has yet to bore me. I have played for about 7 hours straight since midnight and I always had tremendous fun with it. There are some various glitches which I witnessed but they were not enough to stop the fun I was having, sometimes it only boosted it a little! So if you want to have a good time, buy the game!

    Pro's
Good graphics and performance on most if not every machine, it is very well optimised.
Sounds are great, especially if you use a good quality sound device.

    Con's
*Lack of maps, 4 in total, and in those 4 maps areas are used for game modes, but in the ends its just copy paste.
*Lack of balance, it is shocking at how bad the balance is in maps, I heard Imperials won mostly in beta and now its rebels.
Air vs Air between the two are also very imbalanced, Rebel ships are far superior.
Ground vs Ground looks okay at first, but players who have level'd ahead will have a large advantage over new players. With unlocks and the likes.
*Lack of customization and progression, you can upgrade 'cards'(really cards...) and buy emotes and or a different looking head. But gun wise, altering its way of use, no.
*Lack of variety, after doing Walker assault 4 times I already got bored, its small and linear. Because the maps share everything pretty much, you seen it all after your first 4 matches.
*Lack of control options, cant change half of the keybinds I would like to change, options to control mouse sensitivity seems to work on some things and then not ( for example zooming in with a ATST increases senstivity instead of decreasing.. QA failed there.
*Flying is impossible with mouse and keyboard, they broke it after beta from what I can read.
*Lack of any tactic, its just spawn, shoot, die, spawn shoot die. No flanking options, not enough tools for any kind of teamplay.
*To many instant kill ways, there are just far to many oneshot things in the game, it isn't any fun.

Now the worst thing of all. Considering they wear the name Battlefront, how could they have removed or ignored all the great things of Battlefront 1 and 2, how is this possible? How can they ignore or the good things about Battlefield, being Dice and all? How could they come up with a CoD in Star Wars, and then done it so poorly.. it baffles me. In every area of gameplay and map design there are issues. But DLC is coming I read often, it doesnt matter I spend 60 euros, because I can pay another 100 and finally have a decent game. Remember, this game offers 1/3 of the content the last Battlefront game offered.

That's a question that many people will be asking themselves after paying the premium price of 60 Euro/Dollars and having played the game for several hours. I sure hope not that many have paid the insane amount of €110,-. If you have, you have my sympathies.

The only saving grace is that the game looks and sounds very pretty and that it has a Star Wars theme. When you would strip away the Star Wars jacked all that is left is a game that suffers from bladder problems due to it being exposed to the same cold I felt after paying the price of €60 for this product.

12 Maps? Sounds sufficient, but in reality it's not.

I can only speak for myself, but the main draw to this game is the Walker Assault mode. This means that you get to play 4 maps over and over again and that gets old really quickly.

The other game modes are alright I guess, but they are not really my thing. Capture the flag and the rudimentary Death Match modes are done much better by other games. The Walker Assault mode is what should have been the main focus and maybe a secondary mode similar to it in space for instance.
This game can't compete with the likes of Battlefield, Halo and Call of Duty, so I don't understand why DICE copy and pasted some of the game modes. That was a massive waste of time and money and the game suffers from it.

I can already picture how the meeting went when EA bought the IP and announced to the DICE team that they wanted a Battlefront game. A picture of Battlefield was being projected in the meeting room and a "We want that, but make it look like Star Wars" was said. Such a missed opportunity.

TLDR: Not worth €60 and certainly not €110. EA/DICE could have made something more innovative, but instead choose for the safe and simple route and ended up with a very pretty looking with great sounds but otherwise mediocre shooter. Walker Assault is fun for a short while though.

All of this was totally unexpected by me when I bought the game for 60 bones. I really expected a gameplay environment that would lead to cooperative combat - instead this game is just like multiplayer skirmish tweaker knee jerk combat. Who is the fastest to let loose the nade, or spray the most... Gone is the Battlefield vehicle spawn system and replaced with power-ups. Homing rockets, jet packs and and other nonsense. If they just would have re-skinned the old game with new graphics it would have been better.

The graphics and sound are top-notch though. At 1440, 60Hz the game does look incredible. Almost picture perfect but again this just proves the point, graphics aren't everything. The sound effects are amazing as well. It's like stepping inside the movie.

The game is for all I was concerned about a multiplayer only game. There are missions which I haven't bothered with but for some reason they shrunk the player size from that of BF3 and BF4. The large square size maps are gone of the BF series as well with every game seeming to be long point to point style of rush style.

The content included is VERY thin. So few maps, guns and variety is what is worst. The older games dwarfed this title. Sure, what is there does look really good but today for 60 bucks, that's not enough. There is no value to it. Sure, I bought BF 4 season pass but BF4 base game included so much more. This base game is so lacking, makes me think Dice was under immense pressure to release before the movies. They should have never released a game with essentially 4 big( big for this game) and there might be a few more.

The air vehicles feel too arcade-ish. Again, they are power-ups. Not at a base like the games of old. Major failure there.

All and all, this game feels small even when compared to the first two Battlefronts. Other than the graphics it is many steps backwards. I should have waited to buy this, maybe a half off sale it would be worth it but again, it just seems so simplistically dumbed down from the older games it might not be worth it then. I am likely being a little generous on my score but does have some good like the graphics and audio. Avoid unless you want something new for the holidays.

I love the graphics, and I like that there's a leveling system, but leveling up equipment and characters doesnt get you much. No better armor, as others said the weapons arent much different, etc.

I've played the game quite a bit. My character is level 32 and the next "wow" feature I get (at level 40) is the ability to change my character picture to one of the preset ones. Thats probably 30 hours of play time to get there. There's basically no reward/leveling system.

My largest issue with the game is that there's no intelligent placement of people into games/teams. Teams can be VERY unbalanced and remain that way round after round. At 50, my response time is nowhere near the younger players. I have great hardware, but im not as fast as I used to be and I dont have as much time to play any more. I should be getting put into a class of players that arent as good so the playing field is a little more even yet encourages us all to improve. There appears to be no logic in the system for placing people.

Im still playing it as I spent the $60 but it wont last long as there's little point and often little joy in it given the mechanics.

After originally rating this game 3/10, I decided to get my money's worth and pump in a few more hours. The game rated only slightly higher than my initial impressions, but not for any good reasons.

Star Wars Battlefront (2015) is visually stunning, and feels like a very smooth game. It also has quite a distinct "Star Wars" vibe, which is great for fans of the Star Wars franchise.

Gameplay is seriously lacking. The stronger weapons are locked by level, so the more experienced players are not going to win by virtue of their skill - they are going to win because their gun is better than yours. This is a big problem, especially because of the broken matchmaking (more on that later). There are only a limited number of guns to choose from overall, and their only difference is the damage, fire-rate, range, and cooldown speed. While the card system somewhat helps to improve arsenal diversity, it doesn't help it enough to feel memorable (at least not in a good way). It's not a matter of "who shot first" or even "who is more skilled" - it's all about who has the bigger gun.

Previous Battlefront games did the weapon loadout thing much better, even the somewhat forgettable PSP Rogue Squadron and Elite Squadron games. In Previous Battlefront games, there were predefined loadouts that fit into certain roles - basic trooper, anti-vehicle heavy, engineer, sniper, faction specific classes. Each loadout had a role to fill, and even the faction specific classes didn't unbalance the teams. Each class could go toe-to-toe with each other class, assuming players of about equal skill level. I feel that Battlefront (2015) would have been a much better game if they copied the Rogue/Elite Squadron games when it came to loadouts. You're given a cap of 100 points, a primary weapon, secondary weapon, explosives, special item, power-up (passive or active buff), Health, Speed, Capture Rate & Stamina. All of the weapons available were well balanced so it was more about the role you wanted to fill or what playstyle you prefer, not which weapon was strongest.

Matchmaking is horrid. There is no balancing system, and teams aren't re-balanced between matches. The team that dominated last round will do so again this round unless players leave or join the session. This is particularly punishing for new players who don't have access to better weapons. On a side note, it is fun to win games. It is very fun, in fact. The sad thing is, it's not fun to be in a game which you are losing, especially since you feel like you can't do anything to turn it around - which is often true. This shows poor balancing by the development team - a video game should be fun to play whether you're winning or losing.

There is a variety of game modes, but the number of maps and planets are extremely limited. It's hard not to compare it to the previous Star Wars Battlefront games, especially in this regard. I have to say, this game only has superficial similarities to the previous Battlefront games. I tried to enjoy it without drawing unfair comparisons, but it falls flat in so many areas that I can't help but be disappointed in a game I had low expectations for. There is no Clone Wars era. There are no dedicated space battles. There is no Campaign, Galactic Conquest, or Instant Action game modes (all of which were equally important and fun to the original Battlefront games). There is a noticeably lower variety in maps and locations. The list goes on, but it's like beating a dead horse.

The final thing, and possibly the nail in the coffin, is the typical EA DLC. There is a "season pass' for DLC, which costs almost as much as the base game itself. They have given us no clue as to what is contained in any of the 4 planned DLC packs. Knowing EA's history, we can likely expect features expected to be released in the base game - like Clone Wars Era, and the upcoming Sequel trilogy Era, more maps of more well-known locations, more heroes, etc. Worse, it might not contain anything we wanted and just be filled with more maps and overpowered weapons locked to high-level players.

I may be somewhat biased in my opinions of the game, perhaps because I positively associate with Star Wars and Star Wars Battlefront, or maybe because I dislike EA. Either way, this game scores poorly in my books for a whole number of reasons, and the things it does well don't make up for it.

I really want to love this game. Visually it is immersive and stunning; the initial moments of gameplay are utterly incredible.

And then, slowly, it starts to get annoying. My own annoyances in no particular order:
    - You basically get one gun... with lots of skins. The trade-off is usually power/recharge/distance, but the weapons are all otherwise identical. Some of the old weapons from the Jedi Knight series would have been nice: bowcasters that shot bouncing rounds or even a railgun. Anything that added some variety in weapon choices.
    - The teams are wildly unbalance 80% of the time. On Walker maps you'll know which side will win within 3-5 minutes of playing. This is often just due to the map. On Endor the rebels will always win. They basically have to stop playing to lose that map.
    - There is zero coordination on teams. This is not entirely the games fault but some design decision really contribute to this: Team voice chat would really help, but the bizarre spawn points and multiple objectives always mean that there's little to no coordination on objectives.

The biggest problem to this game is the lack of meaningful counterplay. You die because someone shoots you from behind, or you get orbital striked, or you get an entire team of potatoes.

The 'weapon feel' is also frustrating -- sometimes your weapons feel incredibly effective, and other times, they can't seem to hit a damn thing.

If by any chance some of you are going to read this, please, take it seriously, because it will not only increase players' enjoyment of your games, but will also bring financial benefit to you guys through increasing the game's replayability and longevity with no (or very little amount of) extra work or resources.
So, I, like literally millions of people worldwide, love Star Wars. And obviously I will be inclined to consume (play, watch etc.) SW-themed entertainment products. As a typical situation, I come home from work and want to spend a couple of hours playing a SW-game. I want to get immersed into this galaxy, roleplay, really feel that I am a rebel/imperial soldier/Force-user in the Galaxy far far away - in other words have a good old nerdy fun. I may also want to play a competitive game against other people once in a while, but those two sorts of fun are to a large extent mutually exclusive, at least for me. I get it from the backlash of a part of the players, that it is not only my sentiment.
What I get with this game is a comlete lack of immersion. Yes, the graphics are great, the models authentic, the sound (which I cannot enjoy fully due to EA local language limitations) awesome, etc. But how in the world I can appreciate and truly take a moment to enjoy being a freaking Luke Skywalker or riding an AT-ST if I always have to rush somwhere - to capture bases, to kill or to not get killed, not to let my team down.. How can I roleplay if I see a mindless mob of players running around (no disrespect fellow players, I am one of the mindless mob myself - it is quite difficult to coordinate attacks without any in-game means of doing so), jumping, crouching in most unsuitable places - all in all, being PLAYERS and not a part of the living SW Galaxy. This affects immersion in a major way, and thus devaluates the SW component of the game. What is the use of it if I am unable to enjoy my favourite universe in the way I like?
I understand that people might say, that this is a multiplayer game and my complaints are pointless because I am simply not a part of its target audience. Perhaps they are right. But this is what I would like to make an emphasis on - why artificially limit your target audience when it could be broadened without significant extra work whatsoever? Why didn't EA simply make all those beautiful multiplayer maps playable in a single player mode with BOTS? Perhaps they are not as deadly as human players, but so what, it worked out for a lot of people in the first two games. Why couldn't it be implemented now? I just don't get it. With such game mode and the Galactic Conquest EA could feed me with their overpriced DLCs to the rest of my days, I would have bought all their little pistols, Han Solo panties and Leia's haircuts.
Without these modes, it is simply another FPS. Yes I will play it a couple of evenings just out of curiousity and love for Star Wars, but no more than that. it saddens me so much that developers just waist the potential presented by such a rich universe and such popular and successful games as battlefornt I and II.
And it is even more sad considering that the enourmous work and love for SW that had been put into making this game is clearly visible. This is why I am not going to give the game a very low rating. It is not a bad game - it is just made for fans of competitive multiplayer games. And it is clearly for these players to judge the game's other faults, like oversimplified gunplay, shallow gamemodes or its repetitive nature.

As for me, I would be happy with an extended single player mode - i.e. the ability to play with bots on multiplayer maps. And perhaps some more heroes (where the hell is Obi-Wan?).

    And space fights..

And Clone Wars era... ok, just kidding here

    Not really.

tl;dr: the EA are putting themselves in a tough position trying to find their fanbase in an overlapping of two sets of players - those who enjoy Star Wars, and those who enjoy multiplayer games exclusively. Not a game for a guy who likes to have his Star Wars fun in a single player.

There are blatant quality problems, for example, the sun shining on and reflecting off of surfaces inside of buildings. I don't want to list the rest.

I was disappointed to say the least. For a Star Wars title, for its time, it is not good. If DICE had just re-skinned Battlefield and called it Star Wars, it would play better than this. This feels like a from-scratch game. Or a port.

as for the multiplayer, levels are very unbalanced for the walker assault, dont even try winning on endor if you're playing as the empire
the guns are somewhat poorly done, there's a gun that you'll unlock at level 3 but at level 5 you can get a gun that is a direct upgrade to it which is pretty pointless, i think there's a few more there as well
if you're ever caught wondering what gun the guy at the top of the leader board is using it's han solo's blaster with it's 2 shot kill
there's also the lack of content (4 maps and a bunch of gamemodes 2 of which people will only play, walker assault and deathmatch were the only ones i could get a game for)for it's hefty $90 AUD pricetag for the standard edition and the $60 season pass if you want the future content, likely 1 new map per dlc

Fortunately, we were able to return the game, but we spent plenty of time and both of us had the exact same feelings of Battlefront: it looks great, sounds great but loses its appeal within a few hours because you experience EVERYTHING this game has to offer. No unlocked weapons or tricks will change that. Even when I rolled a team by going 48-6 and my team crushing the opposition, I wasn't ever loving the experience. The best moments for me came in Endor - the best planet to play on by far because of its dense forest play that doesn't force you into paths (it's more like the Battlefield free roaming feel). Still, nothing can save this game without adding a ton of content. Sadly, the DLC is $50 for a season pass and only brings new planets and maps plus a couple weapons. What EA needs to do is add even more, but I don't see this as being a big seller because even Star Wars fans aren't wanting anything to do with it after an entire day of playing it. That's saying something. Expand

I actually wanted something that could be construed as a casual shooter, so in this respect i got what i wanted, although i expected it to be a little dissimilar to quake.

the lack of a single player campaign is not an issue for me and the vs mode against bots at least give you an insight to some of the maps (and a few perk points)+(unlocking thermal det's is a must in early lvl's)

Yes i'm enjoying the game but.....

My main gripe is tha lack of Galactic conquest, i would've loved to have seen it but sadly it is a mode not included.
Also MONEY, is MONEY something we can't include in reviews ?
The two pronged attack of DLC... der der derrrrrrr.

We bought a game that is essentially missing maps, modes, emotes, weps etc. A console port if you will.
The second 'prong' if you like arises when dlc must be released quickly, before interest in the title wanes and i guess they will come thick and fast after December.

People are not stupid. they know this stuff is already developed and should've been included in the release, disappointing to se another supposed +AAA title sold down the digital river. The game will never be worth £100, it's like a kind of macabre reverse software piracy.

All in all though, it's a solid title that will appeal to sw fans and casuals alike. Great graphics/integration but ultimately not all that it could have been.

Some of the higher level weapons are massively overpowered, and as such are abused by the high level players. Spawns are a mess. You can get killed by a hero, spawn right next to him and get killed again. There are pickups for various items like gun turrets, though whether you get them or not depends on whether you can beat your own teammates to them. Because there are no player classes, it is very hard to control the battlefield using teamwork. It looks and sounds awesome, the atmosphere is fantastic. Landscape and characters are very well detailed, you won`t find a single texture that looks worse than "photo quality". A very good thing for Star Wars fans.

Then there`s the gameplay. It resembles call of duty to me with a little "wannabe battlefield" in terms of teamplay. The gameplay is simplified, no aiming precision drop during movement, no character classes, no vehicles on the map like in BF. You can find powerups with random content on the map and use them to get a vehicle or a hero if you`re lucky, but i`d better stick with larger maps and vehicle spawn points like in battlefield.
However, this game has some bright spots compared to BF. There are no enemy infantry markers unlike BF. Thanks to this and the very detailed graphics, you can actually hide in landscape and play guerilla style. And this does not break game balance because once you open fire, everyone sees your laserbeams flying and can pinpoint your direction. That forces you to hide and move, not just camp a bush. That`s a good addition to BF gameplay style.

But then there`s a huge downside to this game. Content variety. The game is very repetitive and it has very little content. There are only 11 guns for both empire and rebels (they use the same guns), except for 5 more guns available via character cards and some random powerups.
Guns can`t be customized. Character looks can`t be customized, you can only change the head from a number of presets. Every empire player looks as a default stormtrooper forever and every rebel player looks as a "Endor assault squad" rebel. Forever. Customization cards doesnt give you many customization options as well. Mostly it`s a "select a grenade" thing plus a couple of specific options.
The vehicle selection is poor. Unless i`m mistaken, there`s only ONE operatable heavy vehicle in the game - the AT-ST.

This might have been a good multiplayer game, it has potential. But it lacks a lot of content. Clearly this is DLC oriented, but i fear that EA might have gone the "Destiny" road, expecting to make a very empty game and then sell lots of small packs for big money during several years. And if they do it, it`s possible that they won`t be able to deliver enough content for this game to feel "complete" or at least "big"

It has always been a very casual game, and that's how people, including myself, used to enjoy it back in the days - casual couch-gaming with the friends.

If you want a game that resembles your old childhood-favorite, then yes - you should get this game. You will have lots of fun enjoying large scale battles, next-gen graphics and the solid sound design. However, if you're an individualistic player that enjoys taking responsibility, improving your skills and get turned on by making a clear difference for your team, then don't buy this game. You're better of killing time in CS, CoD or Rainbow Six. My tip is to treat them all differently instead of expecting them all to share the same goals and focus.

Star Wars Battlefront is a basic fps with a Star Wars skin and that is it. That is all it is. The atmosphere is actually kind of weak, especially considering how much good stuff they could have used. Even the ui feels like a modern, default interface with Star Wars images on it. There is no immersion at all.

    -Extra levels!!!!!!
-Tweaked game modes (would love heroes vs. villains with about 12 players per team and only 3 heroes)
-Extra eras of the Star Wars universe (Clone wars, Old Republic, etc. I understand the new movies not being in yet)
-I want to play as a clean storm trooper (in which movies are they ever dirty?)
-More strategic game modes like Supremacy but where dying is actually penalises you!

It's a fun game for sure, the main issue is just that there isn't enough of the fun game to justify the $60 price, especially with all the content cut for DLC. Wait for a good discount, I'd say the game is about worth it at around $35 max.

I REALLY love this game. Graphics, sounds, shooting, vehicle control(only with a controller) and gameplay in general is awesome. But the game lacks content. No campaign, not much solo missions and not many online modes. Everything else is just awesome. If you had fun in walker assault during beta, you should definitely buy the game.

Additionally, get the notion that this is a 'BATTLEFRONT' game OUT OF YOUR HEAD. If this was called something else like STAR WARS: KILLZONE (terrible name i know lol) it would be a lot more positively perceived. And seriously no campaign is not a big deal. Who gives a fk about a **** 8hr campaign, i can guarantee you that if this game had a 'campaign' it would of been cringe, and compromises would of been made on the already content lacking MP.

And while I actually encourage these mis-representative reviews (cos f**k EA), it shouldn't be taken to much into consideration if you actually want to buy this. Actively seeking for negatives (which **** everyone is doing) just means a WORSE experience for YOU. Focus on the positives and immerse yourself in it :) (life advice as well)

Also, this needs to be made clear. *It's a trap!*, EA's abysmal business model means that this game is likely going to die (on PC in smaller pop. countries, consoles are fine) after holiday season. This can also be attributed to the abysmal matchmaking system (maybe patchable?) So that MEANS YOU HAVE TO BUY THIS SOON if you want your money's worth, no waiting for hectic price drops (e.g. BF4+All maps = $45AU right now!).

Super **** pissed how they managed to 'ruin' such a potentially GOTY game. If this had a bigger player base (mainly on PC), 2-3 more planets in the box, fixed partner system + matchmaking and something that would encourage/guide more teamwork-orientation this would be an EASY 9+/10 for any star wars+shooter fan.

    Let's start with the positives:
    - If you are a star wars fan (someone who tingles at the sound of SLAVE I firing it's cannons), generally LIKE playing the objective (esp. with friend(s)) and are at least half-decent at shooters this is highly recommended for you. Even role playing in ur head is fun lol (defend the princess!!)
    - Man if you play this on max settings w/ good audio, you would ACTUALLY feel like you're in the battle, or playing some 'interactive' movie, I don't know how to describe it. Very immersive and honestly f****** epic if you choose it to be. Personally, something about being a sneaky-beaky 'scout' on Endor is just so intense.
    - Great player card system, can take on multiple varying roles for specific situtations/guns/playstyle. Your partner/friend can use your card-preset (e.g. jetpacks) and vice versa.
    - Easy to make an impact/carry if you know what you're doing, especially as a hero (Someone team-based like Leia)
    - EARLY LEVELS SUCK (good thing) and it's designed well for you to learn the ropes! Good incentive and very rewarding getting new unlocks! You tend to be at a disadvantage and rarely get good drops because jetpack people will always beat you lol, but can be negated by having a friend/partner who can give you his jetpack.
    - GREAT GAME to play OCCASIONALLY, pick it up and put it down say 5hrs every 2 days you will be playing this for WEEKS if you actually like it. If you like the game, expect to put in 50-150+ hrs.
    - If you get pretty/really good you can single-handedly turn the tide of an even/slightly-losing game if you go hard at the objective (EVEN BETTER WITH A FRIEND).

    Negatives:
    - NO TEAM RESHUFFLING (patchable?) means once a team starts steam-rolling it will keep on doing so until enough 'bad' players on the opposing team leave and are replaced with higher ranked players. Gets unbalanced real fast, rarely any close games which is a shame because CLOSE GAMES ARE SO AWESOME. In the early hours of the morning when servers are at a minimum the problem is basically unavoidable (can't change lobbies) and you will either be dominating or getting reamed.
    - COMPLETELY BROKEN PARTNER SYSTEM when playing SOLO (unless you are actually partied w/ a friend, otherwise it's great)
    - FLIGHT CONTROLS on PC are almost unplayable. Sure you can get decent/great by practicing quite a lot in 'fighter squadron'(game mode), but if you have a PS4/XBOX controller to plug into your PC, don't worry you'll be the BEST pilot on PC (+ you get a massive advantage over everyone else so you can basically single-handedly dominate the skies haha!)
    - ORIGIN/BATTLEFRONT CLIENT IS TERRIBLE ON PC. As with all games that run with origin, even on an absolute monster of a PC, this game takes YEARS to ALT+TAB, EXIT, and you may experience occasional crashes, onset of in-game static. Even when you 'ALT+TAB' IT DOESN'T DO IT PROPERLY, the game just windows itself still taking up 3/4 of your screen. Ruins the fluidity and next-gen feel of the actual game.
    - LACK OF MAPS/PLANETS. However does great with what it does have. FREE planet coming out today.
    - SPAWNS on some game modes are a little off. Just needs some tweaking. Don't always listen to those who complain about spawns though, as it would ruin the pacing of certain gamemodes (eg Walker Aslt.)

Now there is something important to talk about. Some retard at TV Tropes named ACW made the retarded statement of "which is not even close to the third game." in a discussion about Kingdom Hearts 3, yes it is the third game you retard, the third MAIN game. Secondly there is no "sequel number snarl" since nobody is confused about the naming of games like Kingdom Hearts, that's a retarded belief that doesn't exist. It's not even more of a mess, it's also not really, "really" complicated and that's fact since everybody who has waited for it for five years have played all the games and nothing is "fouled" by naming since it's a fact that "sequel naming snarl" doesn't exist retard. Another thing is that Kingdom Hearts is an arpg, not really a "hack and slash" like some retarded hack fraud youtube "critics" would claim, that's fact since it has everything an arpg does, but no it's unconventional and we can't compare it to anything else so let's lie and claim it's a "hack and slash". If you think it's "more like a hack and slash" you are factually wrong and retarded since it is an arpg. Literally play the game, and it's not a matter of "fanboys" retards, it's a fact you idiots don't actually understand anything about the game itself but act like you do. Another thing is the blowjobbing retarded idiot named "Rabbidluigi" claiming Kingdom Hearts 358/2 days is a "good game with a bad story", no you retard it's a good game with a good story, virtually nobody complains about the gameplay since it's a fact that nobody has an issue with it. Therefore it's a fact that it's not in the "Top 5 Bad Games With Good Stories" it's in the "Top 5 Good Games With Good Stories" and that's fact as well. Another retarded brainlet is some cumchugger retard named ThrillingDuck who made the retarded clickbait claim at about 2014 or something of "The decline of Kingdom Hearts" when it a fact that "The decline of Kingdom Hearts" doesn't exist and that's fact, there hasn't been any "decline" of Kingdom Hearts you braindead retard and that's fact as well. There isn't any decline of Kingdom Hearts and won't ever be any decline of Kingdom Hearts and that's the fact of the matter. The games haven't been as frequent to ensure all development is on making Kingdom Hearts as good as possible, that's a fact. The retard attempted a stupid idiot immature retard rant but he blew throbbing shaft at it like the retard he is. The story has always been complicated to start so that's not a valid complaint either, especially since the story actually works and that's a fact as well. Lastly somebody said for the opening "Dream Drop Distance is the best and Re:Chain of Memories is the worse in my opinion". It's fine to have an opinion but factually they are all good, Chain of Memories isn't as good as Dream Drop Distance but factually Dream Drop Distance isn't necessarily the best. Somebody named Baneewii said "I agree". Nobody does agree on that necessarily, therefore it's not "I agree", that's fact. Lastly the first guy said "Um, thank you for respecting my opinion?" Okay, your opinion can be respected, it's not necessarily accurate though since Re:Chain of Memories is not "worse" it not as good is all. Everything I have said in the review here up to now in response is fact, disagree and you are wrong and retarded. That's fact, I am honest about retards.

On another topic, it's more political and about Bowsette but who cares. Some shaftchugging woketarded braindead journalist named Don Nero who probably burned innocent people alive, made a retarted SJW statement of claiming and had unsuccessfully described Bowsette as "dominatrix-inspired" and attempting and failing proposing her as a "positive symbol of female empowerment". How about a character made to be good retard? Lara and Samus were good because of characterization, Bowsette exists for porn, that's it, done, finished and though the retard complained that a bulk of the art was "overtly male-gazey." and btw, "male-gazey" is not a phrase cumchugging queer, secondly it could be "female-gazey", oh but wait, then you would have to not be a woketarded emasculated little cuck baby and actually have balls and not be a hypocrite retard wouldn't you little SJW cucklet? Then the beta cucklet who has retarded castrated male guilt for some retarded idiot reason said "dripping with horrendously over-the-top, seam bursting cliches that call to mind the bodacious sex-dolls of Dead or Alive Volleyball" Oh poor little castrated cucktard, Bowsette's not "woke" enough for you? Piss off you cancerous piece of fecal matter. It's not "dripping" with anything and they aren't "horrendously over-the-top" either cuckbreath. Afraid of their sexuality since your attracted to some porn and projecting by lying, undoubtedly the retardation of an SJW. And they aren't "seam bursting cliches". Everything I have said in response here is fact. There will be part 2.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Original review:

Being a fan of the original Star Wars trilogy so I can say that I think this game is a true Star Wars experience!

I have played 5 hour in the beta and had fun but it was too repetitive on the same map and game mode after a while so I waited the final release to judge... now I have played 7 hour straight since the release.

    The pros:

+The visual and the audio is the best I have seen in a multiplayer FPS and the performance is OK(50-60fps) on high settings with my AMD FX 8350 and R9 280 (and Xonar DSX ,5.1 speaker set) setup.

+Shooting with a blaster is very satisfying , the vehicle play is fun and the card system is interesting.

+Playing with a hero is EPIC! or Spawning as the Emperor's Bodyguard is a blast :)

    +Map Design

    +Fighter Squadron Game mode!

This game mode is like a different game where you fight air battles on a planet surface with X-wing, Tie Fighter, A-Wing, and Tie Interceptor beside the two hero ships (Boba Fett and Han Solo). It would be perfect and Epic if there would be space battles with Capital Ships take part in and not just as visual background with more type of ships like B-wing, Tie Bomber etc. And 20v20 instead of 10v10 with bots. I hope and wish that they will improve this game mode because this game mode has a huge potential to be much better.

    The Cons:

    - Lack of "meaningful" customisation. 90% of this are different heads with different hair styles and there are only a few(2 on empire side) different model at lvl40,50.

I hate to see a stormtrooper without a helmet....... so unrealistic and it destroys the immersion....

-There is no weapon customisation like in other Battlefield games. ( maybe this is due to the lore)

-The lack of the tools and map design(map with markers, party chat, etc.) to make teamplay possible with the "random" spawn locations.

There are no squads nor tools to coordinate what to do where to go (ofc the objectives/point of interest are less than before in other battlefield titles) but at least a 4 men squad play would have been nice instead of this buddy system limited to 2 player. Everyone is like headless chickens running around the battlefield on their own. (Sometimes it feels like playing against bots spawning randomly everywhere)

    - Its not a big minus but the consumable vehicle tokens .... (I see that I think they have tried to designed the battle like it was in progression already when we jump in)

-"Over the top" casual friendly focused on solo experience...

I have no problem with casual games but I feel the game suffers from that everything is so streamlined that the gameplay became very flat without much depth. Maybe Dice didn't want to create a game what feels as a reskin of battlefield but instead of new interesting design or innovations to the genre they get rid of everything special about their battlefield series and created a streamline cinematic star wars experience what it becomes repetitive very fast if someone is trying to play this as a battlefield game and not as some casual game 1-2 hour a day (with the vanilla content).

Not to mention the weapon and grenade cards with cooldown... at least the grenades should be limited or have a lot longer cooldown . :/

    -Content.

I think there should be lot more character customisation option and not just different heads/hairstyles especially for STORM TROOPERS!

I think the four different map type is not enough to justify the full AAA++ price tag and I am afraid that the game is planned to be built for expansion so thats why they cut out things. So I guess we will see the cool customisation options added for extra in hand with the different maps and maybe game modes. If you like to play just 1-2 game mode than you are stuck with the same few map. I hope that there is a lot of cool things in Dice's pockets hidden (because of "financial" reasons forced by EA) and there will be much more depth when they will finally pull these things out and add it to the game as expansions that supposed to be in he base game in the first place. It would be disusting to see the same game sold as battlefront 2 , 3, 4 for full price with some new feature added when this game could be much more. All in all I think the game is great if you plan to play it casually and its obviously not meant to be played HC but we will have to pay a lot of money for all the DLC and wait a year if we want to get the "full game".

Another very annoying and disappointing aspect is that it's extremely bad value for a game. You pay 60 Euro's for 4 different locations, no single-player campaign and a repetitive multiplayer experience. EA also expects everybody to invest another 50 Euro's in the Season Pass, which funnily enough appears to offer just as little content as the base game. This is pure money-grabbing.

I'm not saying that Battlefront isn't fun. The game is however, the best example for quality over quantity I've ever seen. Unfortunately, the spectacular visuals don't make up for its unjustified price-tag as well as lack of content.

First of all this is a game for star wars fans, and it capture the feel of the movies really well.
When we come to game play it is not bad at all. The controls are good but some people say that it is too simple, but for me as a casual fps player I find them pretty satisfying.
But the game BIG FAIL is the lack of SINGLE PLAYER mode which is really important for a star wars game.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. EA Didn't Really Finish What LucasArts Started
I’ve loved the Star Wars Battlefront games since I was a kid but EAs version was a little disappointing. These games are based around the Star Wars Universe where you travel the galaxy and have epic battles. The first two Battlefront games were very good. In these old games there were three game modes: Campaign, Galactic Conquest, and the best game mode of them all Instant Action. In Campaign you fight in the battles from the movies in chronological order. There is the Galactic Civil War and the Clone War Era campaigns you can play through. In Galactic Conquest you and the enemy fight for different planet's using your troops and other items such as reinforcements to win the battles. Whoever captures all the planets first wins and conquers the galaxy. In the Instant Action battles you choose wherever you want to go battle and then your era and then your side and go to battle.
In the new Battlefront many things have changed. The graphics have improved and that's a very good change. The bad changes however are that EA has completely gotten rid of the classic battlefront style. There's no Instant Action, Campaign, or Galactic Conquest. They have also gotten rid of the class selection. With the class selection you got to choose one of 6 or 7 (depending on the game) classes. There was Normal Trooper, Sniper, Engineer, a Rocket Launcher character and special classes such as Jet Trooper or Wookiee Warrior. Instead in the new game you make your own character and choose all their abilities and guns. I am very disappointed in that decision because it is unfair. You could have a character with the best gun in the game and another character with the worst gun in the same game and that's unfair to the character with the worst gun. In the new game you have to level up by killing people, killing heroes, taking command posts etc. The worse level you are the worse guns there are available. There are also only 4 maps whereas the other games had 20 give or take a few. These 20 maps were planets from all the movies and that were very unique and fun.
The vehicle mechanics have also changed dramatically. Instead of vehicles scattered throughout the map where you can hop on even if it's your enemies tank it's little vehicle icons around the map where you get and suddenly get transported into your vehicle. I strongly dislike this change and I think they should have kept the vehicle mechanics the same because they were better than the current ones. They were easy and actually let you get in the vehicle and get out and didn't magically teleport you into a vehicle.
Another feature that has changed is the heroes. In this game there are 4 per side (but more will be added in future dlcs). In the first game there were computer heroes based on your era. In the second game there is approximately 10 or so per side if you choose Hero Assault mode in Instant Action otherwise there is a specific hero you can be on each side depending on the map. In the second game you get your main weapon and a force power or infantry power such as grenades. In this new game there is two heroes with lightsabers Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader. They can use two strike moves and dash move. The hero's without a lightsaber are Princess Leia, Han Solo, Nien Nunb, Emperor Palpatine, Boba Fett, and Greedo. They all have different moves such as Greedo's Dioxide Grenade or Leias Squad shield. These moves are very powerful and maybe just a little overpowered. I like the new hero mechanics but also miss the old ones too.
In this game you only get to be in the Galactic Civil War Era whereas in the older games you could be in the Clone War Era. With the release of Star Wars the Force Awakens you'd think that there'd be a era for that in this game but no. I wish they would add this but they probably wont. I am looking forward to the Bespin and Death Star Dlcs which will add a lot of new things. They are going to add two heros per dlc and The Death Star and Bespin maps! Hopefully Cloud City and Bespin platforms from the old games will be part of the dlc!
I overall think this game is good but not my favorite of the Battlefront Series. Im sad that they took out the original battlefronts style and mechanics but it makes the game a little better too. I recommended you buy this if you love Star Wars and The Battlefront Games. Have fun playing and may the force be with you!

Now for more important things, the retards at Polygon made the factually wrong statement of "The best games of 2018 are under ten hours". The best games of 2018 aren't all under 10 or ten hours you factually retarded inbreds. That's fact, Octopath Traveler, Nino Kuni 2, Dragon Quest 11 or xi and Red Dead Redemption 2 are factually among the best games of 2018 and are more than ten hours, the amount of time a game takes doesn't matter and that's fact, the quality does instead and that's fact.

Somebody who is called Cool Ghosts claims that Dragon's Dogma is "The Best game ever." No retard, it may be a good game but factually it isn't "The Best Game Ever." Not anywhere the best at all.

Some retard who has a retarded name claimed that "GaaS (Games as a service) is an atrocity", no retard, factually it isn't necessarily an atrocity, it can be a negative if it's DRM for single player games but mulitplayer games have to be sustained. And no, I am not some two dimensional retard who believes it hasn't to be with us or against us pertaining to microtransactions. Some are fine for multiplayer exclusive games and genres, especially if it's free. They are fine to an extent if they're in mobile games. I am not "giving them ground" though retards, I think companies have to learn for themselves what's good and Idk, not be bullied by some retards online. If it's EA then go ahead and dislike them since they have shown numerous times they won't genuinely learn. Mistakes create improvement and that's perfectly fine, no the video game industry and community we have these days is not "seemingly tone deaf" like some retard would have you believe, some are yes but monetization to an extent helps guarantee the games we actually care about and are anticipating don't have monetization. That's why some mobile phone games and MMORPGs for some companies is okay, don't go nuts and it's perfectly fine. If your series is mainly an MMORPG then to an extent it's fine, be positive you don't have anything in an MMORPG that gives players an advantage. Monthly subscription or free to play it's perfectly fine, for mobile games as well. And that goes for multiplayer exclusive genres like Mobas, Hero Shooters, Team Shooters and MMORPGs. No loot boxes though.

Another thing is the best Nintendo Switch game of the year is Octopath Traveler as well as Smash Bros. Ultimate, it's a tie, that's a fact. Nintendo would survive without Mario and Sony would survive without Naughty Dog/Gran Turismo. That's fact.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider didn't succeed commercially and had to go on sale but that's perfectly fine mainly because there wasn't anything that would make it apparent it wasn't going to succeed. it's a mistake but that's fine.

Now lastly to talk about Square Enix. They are factually a good company. An example of "Creator Worship" even. They are factually generally well liked by the public and their fans, that's a fact. They acknowledge their fans in the East and West but now consider the kind of games they make even more because of the overwhelmingly positive fan feedback of Bravely Default. Some braindead retards on the cancerous retarded pedophile website "TV Tropes" though would lie to you on their retarded "Darth Wiki"(A name by retards for retards) and claim it's a "Fallen Creator" example or some similar retardation, despite having it as an example of "Creator Worship" as well even though it's one or the other. They are factually retarded and the retarded braindead "Fallen Creator" example is factually wrong as well. It's factually not a "Fallen Creator" it's factually an example of "Creator Worship". FFXIV wasn't great at first? Turned around the project and made it a good game and Square Enix was thoroughly commended by players, critics and fans alike for their effort, thus making them more "Creator worshipped" then before since it is now well liked. FF The Spirits Within? That movie that almost shut down Square? ALMOST. They recovered and are now more successful then ever after merging with Enix and now have more creative capability thanks to that. That's a positive, a "Fallen Creator" wouldn't have survived that, they would've shut down and not recovered because of that mistake, but they gained more from it instead. That's a fact. A vocal minority of some retards online may or may not site them as one of the first stereotypes of JRPGs and make retarded videos about selling merchandise, that's retarded "evidence" that isn't actually evidence. What if they are seen by some retards who are undoubtedly the kind of retarded ignorant American cumsuckers(Some Americans are good, not them though) who make equally retarded and factually wrong statements, over generalizations and stereotypes about anime and manga as one of the first "stereotypes" of JRPGs? What stereotype? That JRPGs are good games? Since they are, but you retards neglected to specify that of course. There will be part 2.

This game is pretty good. It lacks any campaign mode(s) and is very repetitive. Although, I do like the amazing graphics and great action.-packed fun.

The graphics were amazing, i was blown away.
But the lack in contant was no good move from DICE. Only a few maps and the rest was DLC.

A soulful shooter, with good physics and sounds of shooting, playing as heroes in an online match brought a lot of frenzy

A perfect game for short sessions. It’s not deep enough to convince online shooters veterans, but it will definitely win over Star Wars fans. [01/2016, p.34]

Star Wars Battlefront looks and sounds great, and with Battlefield-class gameplay could have ruled the multiplayer galaxy. Unfortunately, at best OK-level, Battlefront-class gameplay is much too shallow to last long. And this is THE one license, which really needs a single player campaign. [Dec 2015]

Any semblance of subtlety is abandoned entirely when it comes to the playable Hero and Villain characters. [Jan 2016, p.110]
