With such a generic SP story that seems to have been written with a Michael Bay keyboard (five special effect buttons, and six generic music cues), there is little to recommend this at more than $20 without the MP to warrant a purchase, and as long as MTXs are anything other than cosmetic, SW:BFII will be a failure. Since few are going to actually care about cosmetics in this game, and will only want OP characters and abilities, EA *will* return to form. They *are* the dark side (of gaming). Expand

Even though microtransactions have temporarily gone, all that's left is a dull grind, without reward for performance. There is nothing to get excited about each round when you know you'll be getting the same amount of credits at match end as everybody else (based merely on match length time).

Pay2win has been suspended until after EA gets every-bodies money, then it's game on (for EA at least). If EA cannot profit from $60/copy game then maybe they shouldn’t be making these games.

If you pay for this game, you will be jumping into a game where people who had early access have unlocked or paid for all the guns and star card upgrades. The base weapons you start with suck. everyone else has 1-2 hit guns. You start with 5-6 shots to kill. Your guns are the equivalent of spraying enemies with a water hose. You land shots but doesn't do much. It is a horrible grind to unlock anything good and youre against people who have the game for almost a week with everything boosted or unlocked.

The pay to win (PTW) roll out with this game ruined it because people already in the game have everything they need to be super strong. And the Progression system is still based off the PTW and you really have to grind so many hrs to unlock anything. Its was designed for you to break down and buy more. This game is DOA because of the way EA released it. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

Even thought the game has amazing graphics the micro transactions present in this game are 'pay-to-win' and promote gambling to children. Even though EA has temporarily removed them, they also stated they will reintroduce them later. This standard is unacceptable in the gaming industry and no one should be supporting the shady and anti-consumer practices of EA.

But EA. Electronic "Arts". You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy.

They wanted you to pay top dollar for a game, Game, that would sell in millions of copies, because it's a huge, AAA Star Wars. But now, they needed more. They needed them dollars in your piggy bank. They needed the pennies stuck somewhere in your sofa. They wanted the little coins from the depths of your wallet. They wanted you to send them your credit cards with PINs directly via mail. They wanted you to put another mortgage on your house and sell your grandma, so you can give them the money.

Their Greed came straight from Satan's Balls, and for that, they need this punishment.

EA tries to please casual gamers and hardcore gamers at the same time, but the old saying about that stands true: jack of all trades, master of none. Don't listen to the developers say that they are trying to make the game better for the players, because they aren't. They're trying to make the game better for them, in that, they want to alter the gameplay of an otherwise great shooter to ensure that frustration leads to you spending real money for loot boxes (which they will most undoubtedly re-institute at a later date under a different guise). Dont buy this game. Full AAA price for a P2W game. There is absolutely ZERO progression in playing this game, unless u buy their loot crates. This was EAs chance to redeem them self to the gaming community, and they f***ed it so bad u have to wonder what the heck they was thinking. They take u, the costumer, as an idiot. If u feel like a idiot, go ahead, buy this game.

Essentially not a purchase Battlefront 2 any there is more game from EA. In an ass you greedy EA. And the most sad - a game itself not bad, though releases DICE crude projects, but they always have the charm and an excellent multiplayer. But EA everything kill. At first they have killed with Bioware, then Visceral Games and here now can observe the beginning of death of DICE.

The thing that makes the game truly horrible is the fact that while the game itself is filled with bugs, they put all their effort into the microtransactions scheme. Their response to our displeasure, their attitude towards the whole issue, their attempt to use the psychological weaknesses that gamblers suffer from against players that might not even adults yet, their constant backtracking but never relenting on their idea to milk the game as much as they can make this game a horrible purchase. The online multiplayer is a disaster with little to no game balance and usually has someone that pay to play with a kill streak of 6,000,000. It is like this on every map where someone just kills everyone and recycles the points and then becomes a hero again.

    Graphics, Music + Story Good/Interesting
Multiplayer- Bring out your credit card if you want these things unlocked because it is is going to take 6000 hours to do what you could in BF1 30 hours.

I do not recommend buying this game and am disappointed. It had so much potential and EA is really a trash company for not vetting this better. I am surprised they did not listen to all the Beta comments in more detail.

Barring that, the game is mediocre at best. Its pretty but very buggy and the campaign is very lacking.

When you add in the P2Win mechanics, and the immense grinds put in the game to provoke you into parting with just a little bit more of your Wallet, it drops all the way to a 1*. Then finally, they decided simply buying these things wasnt enough, and shoved them into "loot crates." A box that contains randomized rewards, so that when they advertize a special "limited time item" (only found in these crates), you run out and spend, spend, spend looking for this item. They get around this being called "gambling" by saying, you never "lose" as you always get "Something" from you crate.

The ESRB and PEGI have both sided with developers that this is not gambling. Wheras Japan has cited that they consider these tactics to be predatory and a form of gambling, and since passed a law that these boxes must now reveal exactly what loot can be found in them as well as the exact odds of every item, so that people can make educated decisions about thier purchases. And now Belgium's gaming commision has just come out and said that in light of THIS game and Activisions' Overwatch. They now are opening an investigation into the loot box gaming practice to detirmine whether or not it is gambling. (Something PEGI didnt do, as they just sided with the ESRB without any investigation.)

    So overall, 0/10.

Quit being scumbags, EA. Your blatant greed is disgusting.

Update: EA has walked back their stance. and "temporarily disabled" microtransactions until they can find how best to re-implement them "after the global launch." Which is short for, please buy our game, we wont f*ck you so hard later, trust us.

Meanwhile, Belgiums Gaming Commision is now looking into EA's buisiness practices in light of this whole fiasco to detirmine if they believe that Loot Boxes are a predatory form of gambling.

    2) This game is fundamentally flawed when it is perceived as work by so many of its addressees, because games are ideally made for average players and not the other way round!

    3) With EAs obvious greedexcess in SWB 2 it might not be enough only to remake this game, which was eagerly awaited by its sophisticated fanbase. For this overwhelmingly bad grades in metacritic EA should really bring sacrifices as is customary in any industry to rebuild credibility in front of the community and essentially to preserve the non-material ideational value of Star Wars for all, to ensure that such harm is not repeated.

1- Microtransacciones...
