    (SPOLERS)

    CONS
-Heroes are weak, and im ok whit that. But its the fact how stupidly you die whit them.
Either it is a suicidical strafe runner from sky,at st killing you in 5 seconds, vanguard or sentry.

    -singleplayer sucks
-Singleplayer is boring and Iden switches sides, its also too short
    -lootcrates
    -cards
-Some maps are bad, some are to short, and some phases of the map suck(not to say its foll all maps_
-6 modes which only 1 or 2 of them are good
    -Expensive as ****
    -Progression sistem sucks
    -No bots on the ground
-Teams dont get scrambled at the and of the match so if one team loses it will lose and lose again
-Bombers dont actually bomb, just shoot misles
-AT-RT s dont actually jump even know they do in star wars universe.also in bf2 they are slow clumzy(like jar jar)
-After you play a game you dont feel you are improving.
-After playing most of the time there is nothing that you sit down and think about, there is no funny epic moments, memorable expiriences after yoou stop playing it
    -Game is unbalanced
    -Not that much content
    -Not much big updates
    -MADE BY EA

    PROS:
Flying and starfighter assault is only fun modes
-Can be fun at the times
    -Heores feel fun
-There are a lot of good maps
    -Gunplay feels good
-Every gun is unique and you can allways find a gun and a class that is best for you.

Also for those who say this game is p2w,its not really.A guy spent 100 dollars for the game and all he did is maxed few cards for vaders,so if its p2w you really have to spent thousands of dollars in it

Overall this is a mediocre game, in every aspect, other that AV which is of course top quality.
SP: The campaign is quite fun, but falls flat on mission design which is 2000s quality, and questionable all over the place pacing. Inferno, bam Luke, bam Kylo, bam Han...... The story didn't bother me that much, think it was quite believable just needed some more exposition and it would click

MP: Poor map design which results in meat grinder situations where 40 players fight for a small portion of land. Playing the objective is not incentivised enough resulting in no one playing the objective. Heroes broken/unbalanced for months after release. Heroes are awarded to good players resulting in even more unbalanced matches, so games are usually face rolls. Also something is wrong with servers and matchmaking. I played on some maps constantly, barely on some and NEVER on one or two maps, and I played for around 25h!

Its still quite broken and unbalanced with the developer playing Bungie role keeping everything to themselves instead of having an open conversation with fans. To sum up I bought the game after 2 months of release. Payed around 2/3 of the original price, but still am quite disappointed.

I picked this game up on a publisher sale on Origin for $20. I played through the campaign and that was fantastic! I loved every minute of it and am so glad they put that in there. I don't care about MP so I get nothing out of that. It's all about SP campaigns for me. Ideally, with an online co-op option (i.e. Dying Light, Soulsborne, etc.).

As for optimization, there were quite a few bugs to iron out on the Origin copy (thankfully, a few google searches fixed all issues). I was also surprised to see the length of the loading times take so long. If the Witcher 3 can load faster on my PC (i7, GTX1080, 16GB RAM), that's probably a red flag to the developer. I can only imagine what they're like on console.

Either way, if you're looking for a fun Star Wars game to play, pick this one up. I don't feel any post-purchase regret buying this at $20 because I thoroughly enjoyed the campaign ( i also listened to the Inferno Squad audiobook beforehand so that gave some decent context to the characters).

All that said, I LOATHED the first Battlefront game. It was pretty but boring.

Battlefront 2 took two steps forward, one step back. You could tell that the EA execs simply couldn't resist. Which is a shame because this was a pretty fun game, single-player-wise.

Please try Heros Vs Villains that is actually the best mode of this game. Just learn the advanced hero fighting like parry/riposte (originally glitch but now days feature) and camera flicker dodges and this mode actually is very skill based and rewarding.

2/10 for main gun mode + 8/10 for heros vs villain = 5/10

The line of sight in third-person point of view is frustratingly misrepresented on the screen. If you are dealing with any corner situation where you want to peak around and take a shot, you're likely to shoot the wall even if your reticule is in the clear. The game does provide a visual cue to let you know when the crosshairs are really, really in the clear. The cue they presnt is a gray X to the left of our crosshairs. This puts you in the situation of trying to line up your target around a corner in a tense situation, but then up pops a second crosshair X, and it's just plain annoying. This is a long-standing issues with games that are in third-person POV. I don't know what the solution is. Maybe the player should be forced into first person point of view when he/she takes cover.

Another control mechanic that was on the fail side for me was the dogfighting. While piloting the TIE fighter, I felt like a fly buzzing around with only one and half wings. Using a controller was pretty much out of the question for me. I actually died a few times just trying to navigate around ships with an x-box controller. With mouse and keyboard, I was able to control the ship, but it was still a hot mess. Having the targeting control for the guns be the same control for the movement of the ship is just bad. I wonder if the developers did this on purpose to make it feel like you feel frail and endangered. The lack of options to strafe in the ship also seemed weird to me. I've spent a lot of time flying helicopters in Battlefield 3 and Battlefield 4. Something comparable to that would be choice.

The first thing that grabbed my attention in the entire game was the design of Iden's inferno squad helmet and her attire. Obviously influenced by the class Vader design, the control panel on the front of the chest plate serves out the nostalgia. The droid mount on the back was also a cool placement, reminiscent of the drone backpack in Ghost Recon: Wildlands. The design and rendering of these imposing costumes immediately sated my desire to kick some Rebels in the teeth.

The animation and scene designs as well as the writing and delivery of the lines in the cut-scenes were pretty good. Nothing came off as cheesy. I like how subtle facial expressions have snuck their way into our games. The slightest flex of a fist or raise of a cheek can add the right quality to important scenes. These were not amazing or anything, but totally enjoyable. Also hysterically fun is some of the off camera environmental dialogue you overhear as you are storming a base or ship. You can hear NPC's screaming and calling to each other in warning as if the predator or an alien was tearing up their comrades. All these little things add to the mood and your connection to the adventure in Battlefront Two.

EA Dice also delivers on some really immersive cool moments. In one scene I thought I was just going to land in their on-ship dock and CGI would just take me into first-person. Nope. They let you hover there and annihilate the entire dock, including some X-wings. When you get out of the ship, you hear crew running for their lives screaming, “Oh my god, it's the pilot. The pilot's getting out of the ship. Run!” When you think things have calmed after a tough fight, cliffhanger moments come unexpectedly and are offered with that warm Star Wars humor. It would be nice to see these moments become a little more interactive, but it's enough to draw you further into the character and the adventure of the story.

Instead of reloading, most specialized weaponry has a cool-down timer. At first I was annoyed by this, but I guess it makes sense. The game shows off weapon variety early on, encouraging you to use a charging sniper rifle, a grenade launcher, missle launcher, shotgun, but I didn't see any innovative main weapons. Some of the secondary weapons like this device that sets of a localized elector magnetic pulse on nearby enemies were pretty fun. It allowed you to approach the mostly generic combat with some style and a bit of strategy.

I'm not going to say much about multiplayer. I will say that I didn't see anything new here, but it was fun. I did like that the game offered extra points if you stayed close to your squad and pushed objectives together. Of course, you are randomly placed after you die, and the group usually quickly divides up and runs to opposite ends of the map.

Star Wars: Battlefront Two looks to be like an enjoyable casual shooter with an engaging story. If I was a bigger Star Wars fan, I'd probably tell EA to take my money, play through the story, then never touch the game again. Otherwise, I'd say wait for a sale on this title. Search Macbigicekeys for more content. Thanks!

Before I start, I’m going to make it clear that I’m not a star wars fan…
I’m reviewing this game as a game.. license unattached…
And if you’re not a star wars fan, this 4 and a half hour long campaign is a gigantic waste of your time.
This is easily the most generic garbage I’ve ever suffered through...
IT plays, is delivered, and feels like a 2010 ps3 game…
The campaign tells the story of Iden Versio mostly... though not primarily…
Infact half of the time not at all…
You get a bit of a perspective of the dark side, as shes the commander of the inferno squad
but the game make a huge mistake of following different paths of multiple heroes... characters you know...
minor spoilers, but youll be light sabering it up which was easily my favorite parts of this campaign…
And these great moments are interrupted with space battles that go on way too long and an uninspired least fun of all time linear 3rd person shooting adventure where you can play around with the idea of cards.. As every hero you play in the campaign has their own special moves on a cool down they can use... but as iden you can swap these cards for different grenade tpyes for example... or perk like health regeneration and shield...
I found the campaign to be a great way to introduce the mechanics of the online and for that reason is worth checking out… but nothing more as it’s just a bunch of shoot everything in your way while you get to a checkpoint, and defending positions while an npc interacts with an item… that’s it..
There are a few okay missions here and there… but none of them are ever fun... at all...
Again if you’re not a star wars fan just use it as a tutorial mode and get out of there...
There’s no fun, no meaningful story... theres nothing here…
Though completing the campaign does reward you with credits and loot boxes to give you a little head start online...
Thankfully the online unlike the campaign is fun and is this games saving grace
Online features 5 different modes, the 2 big ones 40 player classic assault which is objective based of defending and attacking positions or items and there’s the 24 player Starfighter assault, which is a bit like classic but in space…
these 2 game modes aren’t really what I enjoy in competitive modes and had me more frustrated with the pay to win feel of the game where players can all have more powerful cards, and again with 40 players running around you’re going to die pretty quickly in this mode if you’re a newbie..
You’re better off building yourself up in the other 3 modes first and coming back to these 2 later
I was afraid I was going to tear this game apart in my review until I played these much smaller game modes there’s blast with is 20 player call of duty style team death match, 16 player strike which is another objective based game mode,
All 4 of these modes you’ll be getting kills and earning points to bring in support from heroes and star craft to clean house and potentially turn the tables in a losing battle…
and then there’s my personal favorite 8 player heroes vs villains… where there is no saving up points..
Everyone starts as a hero character and it’s a game of attacking targets while defending your team mate…
This mode is a blast to me, and by itself changed my overall opinion of this game..
Everyone feels over powered... it’s just a matter of who can use their powers the best...
The controversy of this game comes mostly in the microtransactions which are currently disabled...
But there is a loot crate system where you can buy crates with credits earned in game from clearing challenges and finishing matches… and in these crates are cards, credits, and crafting materials…
Cards are bonuses you can attach to your characters... and this is what makes the game feel pay to win…
Your characters don’t get stronger by you using them.. They only get stronger by luck of the drawn…
Though you are able to craft cards of your choice with the crafting parts you earn and you can increase the power of these cards with these parts... though these are a bit rare
I don’t find these cards to be as big of an issue in smaller modes oddly because I feel youre given more space to rely on your skill as a player…
But in the larger modes youll definitely notice the buffed up players as their cards flash across your screen while theyre killing you over and over again with their upgraded grenades and turrets…
    its annoying..
Star Wars Battlefront 2 is a bit of a let down to me, and im not even a star wars fan…
But there is fun to be had here in its online.. Especially in its smaller modes...
I give Star Wars Battlefront 2
    a 6.5/10

But then there's loot boxes, micro-transactions and pretty much everything wrong with the game industry, all have managed to get into this game and it is such a shame but it's probably easier to do this bit by bit.

I'll start off with the Single player then:

    Campaign:
While not the best (or most original) Star Wars story I've seen it does its job, it showcases solid game play, beautiful graphics for both character models and locations while tying it all together with some pretty great voice acting... and unfortunately that is all I have to say about it, there is a lot of wasted potential here and I'm hoping this is utilised in the DLC seasons that are on the way.

    Arcade:
Another example of wasted potential here, while fun the battle scenarios are a bit limited. Custom arcade however is a great idea but currently very bare bones, we currently only have 2 game modes with the largest being a 10 vs 10 death match style game, while this is OK there much bigger and better game modes in the multiplayer and these really need to make there way over to arcade for it to be anything more than a quick distraction. (Oh and I think all of the blasters should be available in arcade like they were in skirmish from the last game).

Now for the multiplayer, this sadly is where the game falls apart. While having more game modes and the same solid game play as before it is horrendously unbalanced, this is completely due to the games loot box progression system and it's frankly awful.
All of the star cards are in these loot boxes which have such a high purchase price it is a grind just to get one or two boxes and it's the same for hero unlocks, unlike arcade mode many of the heroes are locked behind a huge grind (apparently 40+ hours).
This needs to drastically change in order to make the multiplayer worth while.

In conclusion, the game itself is a solid shooter but many of the game modes aren't fleshed out enough for them to be substantial, the biggest problem here is the loot box system and EA or Dice need to seriously look at this as it is ruining an other wise pretty good game.
There are additions and changes coming over the next year or so, hopefully these make the necessary changes needed to do the game justice, until then however I can't give the game anything higher than a 6/10.

The campaign is done really well, with decent level design and storytelling. The game looks amazing and is very well optimized, and manages to add to the Star Wars lore quite nicely. It's also one of the only games I've played on PC that natively supports HDR without having to force it through Windows. So from a technical standpoint and for single player content alone, I highly recommend this game. The controls are great whether on mouse & keyboard or controller. I haven't played the multiplayer so I won't comment on that, but it's a shame that the game's campaign was overshadowed by terrible monetisation practices in the multiplayer. Expand

This game is a generic multiplayer shooter , with working single player, which I would give 7/10; and was enjoyable.

In saying that I would add at least another 1 point, maybe more, if you are a Star wars fan, given all the weapons and units and uniquely recognisable characters that become available from that particular universe; it is quite impressive to see that amount of stuff on the same battlefield at the same time -and is quite Epic (not always at same time of course - many maps vary). It is also very well polished, as you would expect from an AAA game.

But without the skins and judging absolutely from merit, it is a decent multiplayer game on a grand scale – because of this scale, it can be hard to see what effect you are having on any particular game – that is my friend and I, felt whilst playing. The focus is on bullet spongey characters, their skills and some how doing enough damage to compete with your team-members to afford to 'buy' a 'force user'(Jedi or Sithlord etc) - although there are plenty of other special units to use, which was good.

The single player was playable and most certainly gives an idea of what some characters can do if you were to use them in the multiplayer theatre and would probably be very interesting to those who like story or are interested in Star Wars.

7.5/10 • Yoda Yoda. I'm no Star Wars fan but this is a pretty good game. It's very impressive visually and the gameplay is good for the most part. The campaign is quite short and the story is a little fragmented but it's fun to play.

Got it free on Epic so I can't complain too much.
I missed the whole P2W debacle when the game come out.
Any how I played it maybe 40 hours, but the problem is there are too many hacks in the PVP games.
Their pitiful anticheat can't keep up with it.
You can always play the 4 PVE at least and you level super fast.

Again, nothing special. Mediocre game both in single player and multiplayer. Only good thing is star wars flavor. It feels like dice want to find battlefront its own identiti different from battlefield. But what realy be great is to get star wars game with quality of battlefield. It still a fun game but not as good as dice's flagship title battlefield.

The fact that the entire campaign is shooting all the time is very repetitive.

Battlefront II offers a gameplay that I have noticed not very comfortable and very improvable, with a lousy stealth and nonexistent coverages.
The control of users of the Force is also improvable, but it is quite well done.

(TL;DR: Too much movie, too little game.)

+ Awesome atmosphere! It's like you are playing a movie!
    + Awesome graphics and sounds!
+ Combat feels and looks great.
+ Canon is followed very well for a multiplayer game.
+ Customization is great for a canonical game.
+ It's a small thing but it helps keep the game enjoyable: Chat is hidden by default so it won't ruin your immersion or your mood in case of a salt outbreak.
    + Spaceship battles!

    - Customization is lackluster for a game in general.
    - Very little player choice! You can't choose the map, you can't choose the side, you often can't even choose your class except for the infantry cannon-fodder because you are either lacking the points, the max amount is already in game or it's not available on the current map/mode.
    - Highly unbalanced! As infantry you will most likely spend most of your time dying to reinforcements and heroes, because they are stronger but cost battle points. But in order to get battle points you need to get kills/assists, so if the enemy player is better than you or has more battle points, for example because you joined later, you will spend most of the match dying in infantry. It exacerbates skill/experience gaps and leads to unfun snowballing like feeding in MOBAs.
    - A few game modes are popular, the rest rarely has enough players..
    - Forced to play in 3rd person view unless you play infantry.
    - Technical issues seem kind of common.

    BOTTOM LINE
For the current low price it's worth giving it a try!

And a few tips to help avoid frustration:

    * Don't solo-rush all over the map, it's a team game and without your team near you, you will get surrounded or crushed by stronger classes all the time.
    * Stick not just with your team, but also with the objective. It can be hard to figure out where the current front line is but it's usually somewhere between your checkpoints (which double as spawn points) and the enemy's.
    * Don't push your luck. In fire fights, get behind cover fast. With up to 20 players pear team, incoming damage can spike hard and you will often get killed by that one last shot right as you take cover.
    * Make peace with the fact that you will probably need to main more than 1 class/character, as not every map, mode and side has all the same ones. When you do that and are willing to enjoy several different classes, you can enjoy the game. You can still make them somewhat unique with star cards to best fit your playstyle.
    * It's a "hero shooter" with classes, characters and abilities. Remember you will need to take your time and learn what all the different abilities and weapons do to understand what's happening.
