    It’s not fast enough for a Sonic game and imprecise controls can lead to frustration but for the most part Lost World emanates the raw, simple platforming fun rarely seen on PCs. [01/2016, p.70]

    If you judge it as a sonic game it’s disappointing but if you judge it for a good platformer it’s not a bad game by any means but there’s better and worse sonic games out there. That said it rarely delivers the speed you crave and as a sonic fan I was disappointed about this.

    There are good ideas in Sonic Lost World, and even fleeting moments of brilliance – the wide-open assault course of Desert Ruins Zone 1 stands out as a particular highlight. But for every bit that works brilliantly and provides the thrilling action we want from Sonic, there’s a weak boss encounter or an awkward stop-start stage that dents your enthusiasm.

    Sloppy controls make for an infuriating platformer. If you want a modern Sonic game, get Generations instead.

    I finally got the chance to play "Sonic Lost World" which was a Wii U exclusive for over two years. It's a solid game, but I kind of wish it had more original level themes and the music could be slightly better. My computer isn't that fast, but the game runs at a decent enough speed for me. Also, this game is two years old and SEGA still hasn't fixed a bug where Super Sonic has two mouths. An update would be nice, SEGA... While you're it, please make different language options for cutscenes, I can't stand Roger Craig Smith's voice... but right now, Sonic Lost World is still fun.… Expand
