Dec 8, 2016Appropriately dreamlike with its narrative that shifts from one strange moment to the next, Silence bounds from powerful emotion to powerful emotion in its last couple of hours, and there's a sense here that these are the feelings that developer Daedalic wanted to stir the first time around.
-
Dec 7, 2016A risky gamble of simplification and modernization from Daedelic, Silence might be a bit too simple, too easy and short to impress hardcore fans, but it is an excellent stepping stone into the genre for new gamers and one of the most incredibly looking games of all time.
-
Dec 2, 2016Silence is a charming if challenging adventure in a world of dreams with inventive, if sometimes harder than necessary, puzzles. The setting and a gorgeous aesthetic add to the charm. Great voicework with interesting characters make this worth a look.

Nov 22, 2016It’s more than obvious that “Silence” is some kind of experiment from Daedalic Entertainment. It will most likely disappoint fans of traditional point ‘n’ click adventure games, but at the same time it may prove attractive to a wider, more casual and mainstream audience, like fans of Telltale Games’ creations.
-
Nov 15, 2016In order to get the most out of Silence, one must approach it as a narrative with light brain teasers that require patience. If that is in mind, then the time spent with this title is completely enjoyable.
-
Jan 11, 2017Breathtaking graphics, beautiful soundtrack, poignant ending—unfortunately these are not enough to carry a game through to the end. Silence feels like an ambitious project that got cut short, and it's unfortunate considering the exponential room for growth in the game.
-
Jan 12, 2017Good point and click adventure game with gorgeous visuals and deep emotional story set in a magical fantasy world. Sadly, the experience is way too short, the game mechanics are extremely simple, and it leaves you wanting for more in the end.
-
CD-ActionJan 13, 2017I would compare Silence to The Night of the Rabbit or Harvey’s New Eyes, which means it’s decent but lacks quite a bit to be superb. [01/2017, p.48]
-
LEVEL (Czech Republic)Jan 12, 2017Silence will catch you at first, but then it left you disappointed because the puzzles are too easy and the story is unable to keep the pace. [Issue #270]
-
Dec 24, 2016After so many years, Daedalic still couples technical mastery with silly amateur mistakes. On one hand, there is a story that screams "Shoot me now!", ill-conceived puzzles, and awful QTE sequences. On the other hand, it's an audio-visual feast in an alluring world with cute characters that, sadly, do not have much to do in this story.
-
Dec 14, 2016Successor to The Whispered World didn’t make it to the developer’s Hall of Fame. The game abandons the principles of a classic adventure game and tries to push on more action playing style like are games from Telltale Games studio – not very successfully to be honest.
