    After such a long and troubled development, many feared that RiME would be a failure, but Tequila Works proved that there can be light at the end of the tunnel. With peculiar storytelling, varied puzzles, well-crafted platforming elements and gorgeous presentation, RiME can rival with the unique beauty of Team ICO's games.

    RiME is a wonderful experience filled with both light-hearted excitement and touching emotional moments. It invokes the old cliché, “I laughed, I cried,” but, of course, that doesn’t do justice to the amount of effort it took to coordinate the vivid yet dreamlike artwork, the fun and easygoing gameplay, and the dramatic musical score. It’s unfortunate that the graphics can be choppy and the movement can be finicky. Otherwise — especially if you value aesthetics over fun — this is an incredibly satisfying title.

    Ojalá tuviera una opción para correr o el personaje se moviera un poco más de prisa. Tiene similitudes con Journey, tanto en atmósfera, música y estilo gráfico, sin embargo Rime además de ser simbólico conecta directamente con una historia sencilla, pero bonita.

    En cuanto a la jugabilidad, no hay muchas cosas que hacer con el personaje. Se mueve de un lado a otro, trepa por algunas paredes, levanta objetos e interactúa con su medio ambiente mediante sonidos. Es lo que algunos llamarían "un juego de caminar". Si te gusta este género, te lo recomiendo. A pesar de ser corto, tiene con mucha variedad en los niveles.    … Expand

    You climb around the island and the tower, solve some easy but fun puzzles and collect some secrets on the way. Or you just stop for a moment and admire the beautifull scenery.

    It took me around 9 hours to finish the game and I found a bit more than half of the secrets... so there are some more hours in it for me.

    Rime manages to stay interesting and never puts you in situations that feel tedious or unmanagable. And you are gently guided by your little fox companion, if you ever get a bit lost.

    The soundtrack is also great and reminded me a bit of Journey. (In a good way)
    Combined with the optical style of the game it never gets old to look at the scenery.

    And the story... is unexpected, sweet and... the rest would be a spoiler. ;P

    It's a very beautiful game in every aspect. It's very polished and a great and emotional journey.    … Expand

    RiME is one of the most artful games of last decade, and by no means a bad one.
    It just should have put the amazing ideas, and the very artful and symbolic but also
    non-linear and abstract story into a more fun and more varied gameplay experience.
    It is pretty repetitive, and it overall feels like more of a tool, to tell an excellent story.
    Seeing the heartbreaking and beautiful story unfold is an amazing journey, all portrayed

The closest comparison would be Inside and, while having a lot in common, Inside has very different atmosphere(and is overall a better game in my opinion).

    Pretty much everything in Rime is good except for the gameplay itself. Character movement is very basic and puzzles are too easy, while the game itself is a bit too long. But the last level and ending are so beautiful and moving, that they make the whole journey worth taking.    … Expand
