   When I say the best FPS game, I think of Return to Castle Wolfenstein. This game is just perfect. I would start from the beginning with the fact that the game was released in 2001. 2001 friends. We've had it for over 10 years, so the games were really different at the time, and that was about difficulty. Nobody mates with you here and it doesn't take long and you get a legendary bow and either you or the Nazis survive. But it must be said that even though you have some kind of skill in the FPS genre, there is still one thing that will make you uncomfortable, but actually improve the game. It's about the atmosphere. Ladies and gentlemen. The atmosphere in this game could be cut. Undoubtedly one of the best I've ever experienced. Whether it's a forest stealth passage, action moments from the city where you transport a tank, haunted laboratories, mysterious catacombs or the legendary castle, which still terrifies me to this day! I may be the only one or one of the few, but this game really scared me and I like to remember it when I always decided to turn it on and played it for a few hours and then in fear of turning it off shakenly slow even unable to click the button to turn off the game. In short, I am afraid of the Nazis and in this game there are up to. You have to get through those scumbags. Let me tell you, I've been playing this game for 2 years. You're probably wondering if this game is that long. Not. The game is short (about 8 hours), but I was just consumed by the fear and I couldn't decide to turn it on. It's weird on the one hand. The game shouldn't even be a horror. It's just an action FPS, but it has its charm and scared me the most of all the games. I have never had a chance to experience what I experienced here in my life with various horror movies, even when I remember the bossfights that terrified me. When I beat the last one, I was glad I had it over with. I don't mean that the game is bad. Not that. It's delicious! I meant that I finally have the fear behind me and that I will be able to rest in peace for the next few days. This game just made me scare like no other! Personally, I would also recommend you if you start the game to get a FullHD patch that will set up a 16: 9 and a mode called Venom, with which I played the game and it will deepen your experience. But it must be said that what I found out so much, this mode adds to the difficulty of the game, so count on it anyway. But I finished the game with him and I will tell you that I will never forget the experience. Maybe you won't like the game so much. More or less story. Outdated graphics. Today's games just don't look like RTCW. But if you are a lover of old school titles, I dare say that this is a duty for you. In my eyes, this is a game that aroused my fear and the best FPS game ever. An excellent game for me, which I recommend.… Expand

   My favorite shooter of all-time. The movement is fast and fluid. The story is fun and faithful to the series. The game has charming NPCMy favorite shooter of all-time. The game has charming NPC dialogue, great level design (aside from Forest), a wide variety of enemy types, high energy soundtrack, god-tier replayability because of how different each mission is, good strong weapon sounds (aside from the Luger), I could go on and on. On an even more subjective note, I love the look of the game and think it's beautiful. Multiplayer was so good, too, and was very influential. If you loved the single-player campaign, check out the CO-OP mod, there's still public servers up and plenty of regulars who still play.… Expand

Вот игра хорошая, вроде придраться не к чему, но чего то не хватает ей.Решил недавно пройти сразу три dlc к Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus. Вот игра хорошая, вроде придраться не к чему, но чего то не хватает ей. И я решил вспомнить, что меня так зацепило в древней, но до сих пор самой лучшей игре в серии, Return to Castle Wolfenstein!
   А зацепила меня атмосфера самой игры. Да, в ней не было, так хорошо прописанных персонажей. Но это игре было и не нужно. Брифинг перед заданием, заброс в тыл врага и выживай как хочешь. Блажкович сам разбирается во всех тайных делах фашистов и доходит до самого сердца их дьявольского культа.
   Этого и не хватает, лично мне, в новых играх.
   При том в Return to Castle, как мне показалось, более брутальные враги. Это и бронированные мутанты, и какие то мумии-зомби, и даже Генрих Первый есть. В новом Wolfenstein, этого не хватает. А куда делись девки в латексных костюмах?
   Так, что очень жду, может быть выпустят какой-нибудь ремейк Return to Castle Wolfenstein, а что, сейчас это модно!… Expand

   Great game. Prior to HL2 and Far Cry, this was the best around imho. Great shooter, no tricky puzzles to figure out, but a great fighting game.

Sure it doesn't bring anything new to the table, but it is based on a classic, and it is fun to play. If you just want to sit back and immerse yourself into a not-so-realistic time when Nazi's were a threat to the free world, and you want a mindless shooter where you just run and shoot anything that moves, this is the game for you. I certainly can't give it a perfect 10 because there are flaws and the game just isn't THAT great, but it IS definitely worth buying and playing through.… Expand

   Once you get past the fact it's a new fps and is hard at times... you realize it's really not that great. There's less of a "story" than there is a progression... you get to z point from y action. If you're new to FPS' the game will be difficult on any setting, but once you realize how to play (As in aiming) the only "deaths" that occur will be when the game is presenting an unfair situation. (Such as random spawns in areas you've already cleared) Let alone the games "idea" of a boss fight. Typically boss's really don't have a "weakness"... and simply hit consecuitly harder. Fortunatly the final boss, which would probally kill you in 4 hits, is a MELEE boss in an FPS game. The game has been overrated.… Expand
