Oct 18, 2015Microtransactions.
This alone made many players left.
Time to go back to Payday the heist, at least there's no microtransactions for now!
I recommend not buying anything from OVK. -
Oct 18, 2015Game ruined by overkills. Has overwhelming overpriced DLCs and they add trading so it is extremely bad. Boycott payday 2 and overkill games!
Say no to microtransactions! -
Oct 18, 2015Overwhelming amount of DLC. And then...after promising not to include micro transactions, they do this? To hell with this game...and all the time I spent playing it.
-
Oct 18, 2015Lied to their community by promising to never include microtransactions, and also by introducing said microtransactions under the pretense of it being a "free reward" for the community to enjoy. On top of that, said microtransactions give straight-up stat boosts.

Oct 18, 2015Due to the fact that OVERKILL is blatantly resorting to pay to win mechanics by releasing top tier weapons behind pay walls, I would highly recommend not getting this game unless you can afford the full experience. Along with buying DLC that comes out very frequently with weapons that render other weapons that you have already, pointless.
-
Oct 18, 2015
-
Oct 18, 2015Lol the first game with free rewards after a community event that introduces paid weapons skins, gg Overkill, way to go about rewarding your old times fans.
-
Oct 18, 2015Microtransactions. It's all I can say... Microtransactions.... Is all I can see now... Microtransactions...Microtransactions.....Microtransactions.... EVERYWHERE! D:
Blood Money...
Rob a Bank, to Rob these virtual Banks. (o n o/) -
Oct 18, 2015Microtransactions, something they promised would never be in the game is now the star around which it orbits. Why buy a game that would go back on such a promise, it would be like buying food at a restaurant with at the table that you have to pay for separately to use on the food.
-
Oct 18, 2015Would have rated this a 9 a week ago, I didn't mind the cross-promotional characters/masks and reviews helped me steer clear of the most useless DLC but this microtransactions crap is a step to far. Don't buy til they fix the weapons and remove the black market update.
-
Oct 18, 2015I have almost 700 hours in this game. I truly love it. Overkill have now ruined this game with micro-transactions. It is terribly sad, and I honestly hope it gets fixed with an apology and a refund for all of those duped into buying anything in this update. Terrible mistake in an otherwise great game.

Oct 18, 2015Microtransactions, unpatched game bugs. Guess Overkill just wants to milk more cash cow and decides to add adding in game. They think more than 100$ worth of DLCs are not enough. Greedy devs who is self centered and ruins the game for most people.
-
Oct 18, 2015Shameless it is.
R.I.P PAYDAY2.
"Good job"OVK.
Lying and greedy for all the time.
They are never getting enough.
More DLC for more money.
Right now, they just broked promiese. -
Oct 18, 2015Payday 2
Overkill is a bad company. Don't support them and their horrible lies, micro transaction. nothing. do everything you can to avoid this garbage. Used to be fun but this is pathetic. -
Oct 18, 2015Since the last update from the 15th October 2015, the game now contains paid skins (you can't loot) which give an unfair advantage. I seriously cannot recommend that game or the publisher/developer behind it. As you may have read they plainly lied to everyone who bought the game and it's not the first time. Keep away from that game and them !
-
Oct 18, 2015"We've made it clear that Payday 2 will have no microtransactions whatsoever (shame on you if you thought otherwise!)"

Oct 18, 2015Free content, you said. No micro transactions.
An update dedicated to free content and the first day, you shove micro-transactions down our throats.
Thanks for the crates and keys, Overkill. Just can't make enough money, can you? -

Oct 18, 2015Remove the Micro transactions!!!! I used to love this game now its trash. Good job Overkill you ruined your game. RIP PAYDAY 2. I am outraged at this stupid move with the "Black Market".
-
Oct 18, 2015Terrible game. Don't waste your hard-earned dollar on this hot garbage. Awful. Overkill just wants to turn you upside down and shake you down for your money. No respect.
-
Oct 18, 2015Get your $#it together overkill. You said you would never have micro-transactions, and you do this? F^ck you. I have played over 250 hours of this game, but right now, I am boycotting this traitor of a game.
-
Oct 18, 2015But this? What is this? Back in 2013 I read that you guys WERE NOT GOING TO ADD MICROTRANSACTIONS. You guys exactly said "NO!, GOD NO!". (Google this article for further information). And WHAT IS THIS HELL WHAT IS IT?. Almir you're a cancer to the humanity I hope you die in a terrible way.
-
Oct 18, 2015A once really fun game being progressively ruined by one of the most greedy devs I have ever seen, that notoriously **** in the face of the community and then promises to "have a look at it" but never does.
-
Oct 19, 2015Since the ovk LIED to us We as players should always STAY AWAY from the game because we do not like ovk, ovk adds something that ruins the game which no one asked for.
-
Oct 19, 2015A couple of years back the overkill developers claimed that Payday 2 would NEVER have microtransactions, and shame on the community if they thought otherwise!
Now 2 years later they have added Microtransactions. They have so far refused to communicate to any degree about this. **** you, Overkill. **** you Starbreeze, who are probably the ones behind this decision. -
Oct 19, 2015An excellent game with the potential to top of the world. This opportunity, however is erased by the decision of the incompetent developers at Overkill Softwares.
-
Oct 19, 20150/10
Microtransactions were promised to never appear. That's why I bought this game.
Bad nasty move by Overkill. The now unified community got together because of you and now they are destroying you as a whole. -
Oct 19, 2015"There will be NO microtransactions in payday 2!"
-Dev, 2013
There is microtransactions AND pay2win in payday 2.
-Me, Now
Nothing more to say, think before buying a game with no more community. -
Oct 19, 2015Great game, had a lot of fun with co op freinds over the time with it.
But the rising tide of DLC was getting to much for me and now they have gone full cash grab with these Micro-transactions as a 'Reward' for crimefest tasks that the community completed.
So as an individual i feel i have to put up this negative review as a protest.
SHAME. -
Oct 19, 2015PAY2WIN gun stats on the new gun skins which are paid with real cash and via random generator to determine which item is yours. this is gamble and it's very bad.
-
Oct 19, 2015Today I uninstalled. I had a long run in this game since 2014 when hoxton breakout (one of the older CRIMEFEST) was released. Older CRIMEFEST were good, all content were good.
But not this one. This one means the death of Payday 2. -
Oct 19, 2015The lack of microtransactions in the game was a selling point of the game as written in official describe. On october 16 2015 Payday 2 lost its selling point and turned into ruins all in the hands of Overkill.
-
Oct 19, 2015payday 2 add steam market now buy drills $2.99 for safes open you is get is 1 gun but it will look you can change gun but is no true i hate payday 2 maker for that
-
Oct 19, 2015I would like to thanks Overkill, realeasing so much DLC and Micro-Transactions disgusted me about videogames, and made me think about my life. Now, i have a wife and a job.
-
Oct 19, 2015they said no microtransactions. they added micro transactions that boost stats. gg not to mention that their "rebalancing" actually just broke the game and no longer is enjoyable.
-
Oct 19, 2015
-
Oct 19, 2015I really loved the game. Loved. Until they added "cosmetic" microtransactions that impact stats and gameplay. Adding tons of overpriced DLCs is one thing, but adding microtransactions after promising us they wouldn't (and even advertising with it), Overkill has finally gone overboard. They have betrayed my trust. Don't let them betray you too.
-
Oct 19, 2015Heister playing since 2013, during the times - The game was great, there was not much DLCs, players were nice. DLCs begin to be released by Overkill but that's not bad...I mean there's more content, right? NO! Actually there were already too much DLCs (100$+ worth) since 2015! There was no need for the latest patch which introduced trading at all. No need.
-
Oct 19, 2015I would not recommend ths game to people. The developers of this game (the overkill software company) can not be trusted, promise after promises broken. 0/10
-
Oct 19, 2015New patch (October 16, 2015) introduces microtransactions and unpatched game bugs including minigun making players run fast, pistols being overpowered and so on.
-
Oct 19, 2015It was a great game, but with stupid DLC like the Ninja Pack, the Chivalry Pack, and now with microtransactions and updates presented as rewards that should be basic functions (like lobby filters) I can defend this game anymore.
Spend your money in something better. Right now, this game seems to be on a suicidal way. -
Oct 19, 2015Low quality developers with low quality content. Microtransaction despite their producer says there won't be such thing. This is very low to a extreme degree.
-
Oct 19, 2015
-
Oct 19, 2015been playing since 2013 the game was ok but the game is broken now becuz ovk made assault rifle recoil so high impossible to hit things and they make u pay for skins which can buff ur guns
-
Oct 19, 2015It was an amazing game until they added microtransactions. Microtransactions that they promised multiple times they wouldn't add. It doesn't help that they added these microtransactions during crimefest, an event that rewards the community for in-game work with "free" DLC.
-
Oct 19, 2015Greedy developers who created economy system despite already having 80+$ DLC worth. Please do not buy a game to them as they reveal their true colors and interests. 0/10
-
Oct 19, 2015Game is unplayable with the latest nerf to the weapons and overpowered pistols (i don't use pistols, OVK.). Please give my working guns back and don't nerf them again
-
Oct 20, 2015progression from an amazing coop shooter to a pay2content
in the beginning free and paid dlc were balanced now its garbage
with the original game itself you dont have access to like 75 % of the weapons ? with some of them being game changing (he shotguns, sniper etc...) -
Oct 20, 2015The developer promised NO MICRO-TRANSACTIONS !!!!!!!!
What they do? They add micro-transactions for content that gives you stats and turning it in a pay to win game. And this was released during an event that was suppose to release free stuff.
I'm done with Payday 2 and it's community. -
Oct 20, 2015"We've made it clear that PAYDAY 2 will have no micro-transactions whatsoever (shame on you if you thought otherwise!)"
Let me know how that works out -
Oct 20, 2015Look, a lot of us got over the fact that Overkill decided to spam mediocre DLC every couple of weeks, but micro-transactions? Screw you, not only did you promise from the start that there will never have micro-transactions. Disgusting, absolutely disgusting.
I'm not even angry with Overkill anymore, I'm just straight up disappointied. -
Oct 20, 2015
-
Oct 20, 2015Overkill lie.
Upon release PAYDAY 2 had potential. Unfortunately OverkillStudios ran it into the ground with the newest content released for Crimefest 2015. We were promised free rewards for our hard work that we put into completing varied challenges. We were given microtransactions, that's not free content Overkill...
Dont buy this game, you'll only end up regretting it. -
Oct 20, 2015This game used to be good, overkill ruined the game with the most recent update adding microtransactions. Shame on you overkill. I regret paying as much as I have for the DLC in this game.
-
Oct 24, 2015A once great game by a once great company followed by a slide into some of the worst moneygrubbing ever seen in the games industry, If you buy this game, expect 80+ dollars of DLC, microtransactions, and being fed lies by the developer.
-
Jul 26, 2014Games don't connect/crash/desync/fail to join frequently in peak hours. Lots of overpriced dlc. Tons of glitches, bugs, and hackers. These issues will most likely not be fixed seeing as forums from more than a year ago still make the exact same complaints.

Oct 17, 2015So after all the DLCs and after saying that they will never include microtransactions, now here they are, just trying to get all the money from the players. Too bad...
-
-
Oct 17, 201520€ game with 100+€ DLCs.
Now they add paid skins microtransactions.
You can only get those skins with real money.
Weapons skins with better stats than default. ones.
What the **** Overkill.
Guess what ? It's Skyrim paid mod **** Overkill style. -
Oct 16, 2015I wouldn't mind the microtransactions, if they wouldn't have been released during Crimefest, where we should have been rewarded for our efforts to unlock challenges.
I feel betrayed and lied to. Thanks, Almir. -

-
Oct 17, 2015Pay 2 Win day 2
More skins in the new update and more bugs
It's pay to win now, as the skins cost money to buy and have stat boosts
It already had DLC content over $100 -
Oct 17, 2015
-
Oct 17, 2015Overkill destroyed the modding community and broke the promise of "NO MICROTRANSACTIONS".
Instead of fixing bugs and optimizing both the game and the netcode they just release skins and MORE dlc. So far we don't have an announcement, a PSA, a "Sorry guys", not a single thing. This has to stop. -
Oct 17, 2015I loved this game... I got it cheap but still bought 40$ in DLCs... I never spent so much money in the game.. Eventually.. The game being repetitive.. Broken.. And pretty much annoying. The solution? Add over 200$ in sub-par DLC... And now micro-transactions after they promised not too. Congratulations Overkill. You ruined the game, you greedy cuunts.
-
Oct 17, 2015We've made it clear that PAYDAY 2 will have no micro-transactions whatsoever (shame on you if you thought otherwise!)

Oct 17, 2015Game used to be great. Devs were always bad. Tons of DLC's with one good weapon. Lies. And now they "REWARD" us (Crimefest) with CS GO style skins that boost your stats.
No thanks -
Oct 17, 2015The game has gone to **** It started awesome but greedy developers will ruthlessly nickle and dime you out of all your cash. Microtransactions, bimonthly DLC with nothing but more and more overpowered weapons and developers who actively lie to their customers. Don't. Just don't, give your money to people who deserve them.
-
Oct 19, 2015This used to be one of my favorite games, at least before Crimefest 2015. Overkill has stopped caring for its fanbase and begun to nickle and dime it. Do not buy this game, do not support this type of behavior, do not support Overkill.

Mar 15, 2014Bought the 4-pack to give-away to 3 friends. Enjoyed it very much. Patch after patch the game got better. Until someone decides to break the fun on the deathwish patch. Game became a chore and fun was taken away by their supposed magical pixie dust.
This is my last OVERKILL game. -

Oct 17, 2015I only have ~300 hours into the game. I loved the game, there were a few little things that needed fixing but the game was great.. Then the devs decided to take a dump on it all.
-
Oct 18, 2015Broken game. Bugs not fixed, bad updates, bad developer, failed promises, low quality DLCs, and now microtransactions. Soon going to be f2p as well. Hopeless.

Oct 20, 2015Used to be good until they sold out, John Wick DLC? Alesso DLC? and now micro-transactions.
Stay away from this garbage, they'll just pump out DLC after DLC without caring about the game at all. -
Oct 17, 2015
-
Oct 18, 2015I bought this game a few years back. It was fine that dlc was being sold to us here and there. Then came Crimefest 2015... Lies upon lies... Micro transactions and nerfs on every weapon from ammo pickup to accuracy. Never would i play this game again or recommend this to anyone.
-
Oct 18, 2015Developer lies straight into the face of the community and now deletes any negative feedback on the forums.
they let 3rd party websites die by adding the provided feature into the game and then not responding to emails by the site owner whatsoever.
now featuring cases, keys and weapon skins that add stats to the weapon which makes the game pay to win.
Garbage -
Oct 18, 2015I've had it with this company. The shame is, this game has/had insane potential.
I play this game on pc and xbox one (which is still broken since release date, they released a HUGE patch that fixed nothing)
They keep churning out content without fixing what's broken first.
And now, micro transactions.
It's like they're trying to commit developer suicide. -
Oct 18, 2015$100+ worth of DLC, cross-franchise promotions, and yet they still need to ruin their game further with microtransactions. If you continue playing this game despite this, you are part of the problem, not the solution, and I sincerely hope you regret putting money down on Payday 2.
-

-
Oct 17, 2015Great game, if the developers didn't lie through their teeth and forcibly try to squeeze every dollar out of it's dedicated fans it may have gotten a positive review. Such a shame.
-
Oct 19, 2015My favorite game that cost money and has already ton of dlc's, from 2015 October also has MICROTRANSACTIONS no, that are not just colors or clothes to look cooler, but boosters, which makes it P2W.
-
Oct 17, 2015Microtransactions to upgrade your gun to what it was before the update. Quick money that no one should fall for. They even said they were not going to add any microtransactions but they lied.
-
Oct 17, 2015Lying Dev's adding in micro transactions after saying that they wouldnt, very very VERY pay to win (dlc is more than the game by a LOT, pay to have fun/expand the game, the community even has the nerve to try to defend overkill saying they're right and we're the ones to the wrong

Oct 9, 2013PayDay 2 is one of the nicest surprises of the year. Overkill Software understands the atmosphere of gangster movies and wisely improves these pieces of gameplay, that might have been disappointing in the first game. The sequel is better in almost every way - you can play a thief and enjoy good character development and shooting systems. I really hope, that PayDay 3 will be even better.
