Jun 20, 2021Finally, the true story that Oddworld Inhabitants wanted to tell us, the next chapter of the quintology, and even if they cut something from exodus, (really nothing to worry about) it's a great game with a great story! Can't see what will be next!!!

Apr 8, 2021This game is a very fresh slice of oddworld with a whole pack of nostalgia too. Yes there are a few bugs, mostly graphical, but the gameplay is mostly solid, the challenge I wanted from a new Oddworld game. The new mechanics are a real improvement. Only negative comment is non-skippable cutscenes and hold button to exit hint screens.

May 29, 2021Oddworld: Soulstorm is undoubtedly the best-looking entry in the series yet, with dazzling cutscenes and beautiful environments. However, when it comes to gameplay, Oddworld: Soulstorm comes with a lot of bugs, and clunky and confusing controls. This made the overall gameplay more sluggish and cumbersome than it ought to be, and, in turn, made tricky levels frustrating and tedious rather than pleasantly challenging.

May 21, 2021Soulstorm dares to be bold with its 2.9D presentation, which brings a lot of life to the scenery. The soft reboot has deviated considerably from Exoddus, which is based upon, with a more cinematic approach and new gameplay mechanisms. We miss the late-90s level design of Exoddus, but we loved Soulstorm for its odd-acity!

May 4, 2021If you’re looking for a new Oddworld experience, then Soulstorm will likely scratch that itch. However, Soulstorm is far from being the 1997 sequel you might know and love. While a lot of what makes Oddworld wonderfully “odd” is still intact, Soulstorm’s experimental nature is almost a detriment. Nevertheless, being able to step into a new Oddworld experience in 2021 is something to behold. Soulstorm might be a little rough around the edges, but hopefully, the game serves as an experiment to determine the best direction for a brand new Oddworld quintology.
