A good strategy game that recreates the amazing Numantia siege. The fight is good, gestion options too, but the action feels quite simple.

The historical strategy game’s enjoyable combat is let down by some frustrating bugs, and a tutorial that rushes through itself. In the end, Numantia really does feel like it needs one or two more rounds of good polish. Still, if you’re a fan of hex-based combat and you’re willing to push through all those issues, there’s a good game lying beneath.

Numantia’s storytelling might entertain lovers of history, but turn-based combat enthusiasts are disappointed in battles that fail to spark a desire to thwart the enemy. An indiscreet console port with clunky controls and bloated, low-quality graphics, Numantia could please genre noobs, but there are better turn-based combat titles for seasoned players to relish.

The developers should have prioritized quality over quantity, and dumped the second campaign along with a useless global map. As it stands now, Numantia will disappoint even fans of ancient civilizations.
