Shocking piece of crap this game is. I'm one of the thousands of people who got a refund through Steam after playing it for over 10 hours. Nothing but lies, damn lies from the devs. The $60 price tag was a complete joke. It was only worth $2.99 at the most!

a game can be good or bad, a game can have bugs, a game can be whatever it wants to be and i can live with that, its all relative depending on the likings of each gamer, and thats what a review should be about, but when they mislead you to buy something by promising a product that ends up not being what promised, when they totally and shamelessly lie in your face doing so, and when u see aa game can be good or bad, a game can have bugs, a game can be whatever it wants to be and i can live with that, its all relative depending on the likings of each gamer, and thats what a review should be about, but when they mislead you to buy something by promising a product that ends up not being what promised, when they totally and shamelessly lie in your face doing so, and when u see a sticker hiding what was really promised, hiding the lies... and all this after paying 60 bucks? then theres no review possible for me when first of all its about a SCAM not a game, just despicable, it's a real shame to see this happening at this particular level after 25 years of gaming, my real thanks and 10/10 score goes to the reviewers and press that cared for us the clients to show us the real product, they just saved me all that money and troubles, as for the game, my score is really obvious. Runs at 1440p 144Hz sometimes, then takes a dump at random. Doesn't matter anyway - the game is the most boring, repetitive, soulless and shallow collection of game elements thrown together that I've ever seen. Even if this game was made by competent people who properly used PC as the lead platform, which is absolutely isn't, it wouldn't be worth playing. Such a shame. Luckily, Steam honored my refund, since I only made it through 90 minutes of this **** Avoid at all costs! Unless, of course, seeing the same recolors of the same things ten gazillion times and holding left click on them is your thing.

Not to mention its default FPS capped to 30 FPS. WAT?! I had to bump everything up to high and set the FOV to something reasonable in order to get the game to look good. After that every time I scan something there's a 1 second hiccup.

And you gotta love the fact that this game can't even connect to the server. So what little interaction you have with the outside world (other players) it can't even get that right?! Hello Games seriously needs to just close their doors and lay everybody off. this game and everybody involved with it needs to just never touch a keyboard again, never say anything again and just get outta gaming. PERIOD.

I heard Mcdonalds was hiring, maybe try that. It's pretty hard to screw up a big mac.

The gameplay: Ok the game play is **** It is fun for discover a planet (the first 10 planet) then go to pointless journey to the galactic core... Fight with enemy space ship is not fun. Fight with stupid sentinels not fun too. The behaviour of creatures on the planets are the same. No multiplayer just you can see other players dicoveries if you are very very lucky... this is **** pointless.

And finally the technical problems in pc... Huge framdrops and low framerate on a high and pc... this is a **** joke again... On a same pc run stable 80-90fps GTAV, 120fps Star Wars Battlefront, No Man's Sky runs 40fps with framedrops... and bugs with creatures stuck in land and others...

This is a halfdone INDIE! game from an indie developer team. max value on the market is free to play or max 5$ not 60$.

Company who made this game should be sued for false advertising. If someone is thinking about buying this game, please just don't. It should be called No Man's Lie, because like 80% of features which were presented and advertised before release are not in the game.

No support for GoG purchasers. 3 patches released for Steam users, 1 empty patch for GoG and nothing since. Currently the game is utterly broken. Won't even start and with a developer that is ignoring a retail channel, I have to rate this game a big 0. GoG are waiting for the patch from Hello Games so they can make it available.. truly despicable behaviour from HG.

This is a scam. The game shown in the trailers simply doesn't exists. 2/3 of the features shown in the trailers were cut. Hello Games must be thankful for Steam and Gog having strong refund policies that allows users to ask for a refund for any reason, otherwise they would have lawsuits pilling up at their mailbox.

I expect only one thing from games to be noted fairly: to actually work. This isn't 1995 anymore. PC games should work on release, especially if you apply AAA premium tag price to them.

I have tried all the different settings, nothing changes. And what do we get for these conditions:

    - Ugly textures; seriously, it looks like a PS2 game.
    - Ugly shadows
    - Ugly everything

E3 and demos overstate quality and amount of content when it ends up only showing you 30 different plants and animals, all changed in minor ways.

Another overpriced overhyped piece of crap. This game is technically poor at everything it tries to do, yet this doesn't prevent the developer to oversell on every point, and blatantly lie on some aspects. Research heavily before buying, or buy blindly at your own peril.

No Man's Sky breaks the record in falling short of the hype – which is an incredible achievement in the category of super ambitious space games. The huge universe is a repetitive, lifeless and meaningless place, no amount of random generated creatures can change that. The most unforgivable fail is making the spaceship such a pain to fly, which makes exploring the vast universe simply a chore. However, at its best the game is epic and many of the issues should be easy to fix, so this might not be the end of the journey after all. [Sept 2016]
