Well in this sequel, take everything bad about the first one, throw it out the window, add some focus, and you get one of the best turnarounds ever! Whereas Nick Kart Racers 1 felt super budgety, was unfocused, and was trying to bite off more than it can chew, you can already tell this sequel is more focused, as it is about the racing and one main racing mode done right! As the controls feel 10x tighter than last time, and with more variety thanks to the crew mechanic. Select specific characters for some buffs, and you get some intense variety not seen in other kart racers, and speaking of characters, the amount of characters is much larger in this game and covers much more of Nick's history! On the downside, while the graphics are definitely so much better, there can still be some parts that could have used a bit more polish, such as the character models. Also, cups still sometimes repeat races, which is sour, and the game still has 0 voice acting, meaning races are still super empty feeling. You can't have SpongeBob without Tom Kenny's voice coming out of him, you just can't! Still, this game improves so much and with the super low price on PC, I recommend you check this game out on PC Expand

It is basically a clone of Mario Kart 8, plays exactly the same (same drift mechanics, same trick mechanics) except there is no anti-grav. Still it's 1/4 the price on PC, even less if you get it on sale like I did. Only downside is there are no graphic options, it is either forced 1080p across the board or it just uses your native res. So basically you can either run it or you can't, no fiddling with options to tailor the experience. Still worth it imo!

The game has a FANTASTIC soundtrack as well. Favorite music is what plays in Air Temple Island and Dreamland.

There still isn't any voice acting for the characters, the characters roster is questionable (Angry Beavers, Eliza, Darwin, and Ickis are no where to be seen) not to mention JoJo Siwa being a character, and they made Plankton a Pit Crew instead of his signature Mystery Rider vibe from the Original Nicktoons Racing.

Players can modify their kart stats via car parts (wheels, engine, and, the characters they choose.) so it kinda has that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe vibe to it.

The tracks are bland as well, aside from JoJo Siwa's track, surprisingly which is pretty fun. Also, there are Avatar(Aang and Korra are in this game as well) tracks in this game; which I feel is weird to have Nicktoons characters racing around Avatar based tracks. It feels out of place.

There is also a battle mode, but it only consists of 2 battle tracks. You'll most likely get bored of it pretty fast.

The other thing that is pretty neat about this game is the Pit Crew, which consists of characters from past Nickelodeon installments to assist the player while racing (for example giving the player a boost after getting hit by an item, giving the player an item when they fill up their slime gauge, and giving the player specific-type items (Offensive, Defense, and support), it makes the player thing of strategies of how they want to race. The online is not bad either.

Overall, Nickelodeon Kart Racers 2 is a mediocre kart racer. Wait for this game to go on sale before buying it.
