Also I think that BioWare is doing a good job with the game support. In my opinion the design of the planets is wonderful and it is interesting to explore them. The most people in your squad are interesting but except Jaal, it is a Milky Way squad. The Aliens could have been design more interesting, but they are doing their job very well.
So in conclusion ME:A is a really good game with some little problems.

Mass Effect Andromeda makes too many mistakes to get a 10, but oh boy was it still a fun ride.

Andromeda captured the story brilliantly, and for me, the open worlds did not make it feel bland.
Don't let the other reviews distract you while playing.

When it comes to multiplayer it's alright but not the main dish play MP just to advance SP.

I hope Bioware puts more thought into the sequel and give the story a minor facelift.

I can now add Mass Effect Andromeda to that very short list. There is a lot to love about this game. First and foremost you *must* not begin playing this game expecting a sequel to the ME franchise. It is a separate game with a very different story. Getting that expectation out of your head will go a long way toward you being able to enjoy this game on it's own merits. The story, mystery, exploration and yes, even some of the NPC relationships (actually most of them were great to me... as long as you talk to them!!!) kept me playing for almost 100 hours until the end. There are also a bunch of things to hate about this game. The facial expressions are painful to watch. Horrific! Not being able to hop on the Tempest to get some work done without taking off from the planet (very frustrating and time consuming), the clunky travel in the Helius Cluster (absolutely beautiful, but slow and repetitive) to name a few. But none of the things that I didn't like were worth putting the game away and none of them made me regret paying full price for this game. I loved it. It seems most that don't care for it are judging it by comparison to the other 3 ME games, or are letting some of the things I mentioned above hinder them from actually letting down their guard and immersing themselves in a great game! I haven't ever found a perfect game yet. It is impossible to create a game that is going to please every single person. Mass Effect Andromeda is no exception BUT I am absolutely salivating over any future DLC! There are at least a dozen areas where "cliffhangers" were left if you paid attention and read the terminals and emails. In summary I say to the naysayers: Give ME:A a chance. Expand

Even aften the 1.05 patch the game does still have a few technical flaws, but these are minor compared to the massive and negative internet hype that surrounded the release version of the game.

Random thoughts on what I like about the game:
    - Exploring is a thrill and the new worlds are beautiful and intriguing. Park your surface vehicle on the top of a massive dune and admire the dessert vista that unfolds before you. Or explore an ice cavern on foot and listen to the melodic sound of the strange creatures that lives beneath the frozen surface. Venture through the thick brush of the jungle but keep a lookout for the aggressive predators that lurk there...
    - Combat is fast paced and elegant, allowing for many different approaches to the tight spots you find yourself in...
    - The writing and narrative is solid - and at times excellent! A few weird blurbs may appear, but the game is massive and generally both the ambient chatter as well as the dialogue are great for setting the tone of this adventure.
    - I really like the squamates as well as the various NPCs you encounter. There is some real depth there and a lot of shades of grey. Personal favorites are Drack and the Mosjae...
    - The gameworld is both incredibly grim and with the promise of hope. And if you take your time and consider, the story raises some interesting questions about the colonialism, artificial intelligence and the human condition.

After 53 and a half hours in game and still not having complete it I can tell you there is a lot to do. Although most quests are either fetch or go "here" kill "that" type of quest I still enjoy playing them. Combat is refreshing and probably the best in the series. ( I love the manueverability.) This installment was not as well written as ME:2 or ME:3 but certainly has its moments. I am enjoying the characters (bar a few). Maybe its because I love the mass effect universe so much but I have to say I'm loving the story aswell. I didn't notice any issues with animation until after seeing the flak online and even still it doesn't bother me. Multiplayer is okay but gets rather bland as there are few maps. (Who plays ME for multiplayer though anyway?) I feel like there should be more companions but that's just a personal thing. While my love for ME makes me want to give it a 10 I'm going to give it a 9 simply because I do see some animation errors now and sometimes the game is a little laggy on my Xbox.

*P.S I forgot to mention the fact that the development team fixed the issue of long travel times and was working on fixing facial animations so props to them for that.

    Pros:
    - Combat
    - Graphics
    - Open World

    - Frame drops on Xbox
    - Lack of Multiplayer Content

Best combat mechanics, fitting for every play style, whether you want to crush the enemy up close or shoot of their heads from afar. A plot, whilst not perfect, is strong and holding together, making you want to continue playing the game and leaving a great feeling when you finish the main campaign. The doesn't let you feel how to be an explorer, it *makes* you the explorer. Overall, a great game, fantastic for both returning players and newbies to the Mass Effect world. Definitely recommended, especially if you don't expect it to be as cyberpunkish as previous instalments. In the end, this is a new Galaxy, a new civilisation to build, and Andromeda fulfils its job of creating a layer for upcoming games to be built upon. Expand

I do believe they would have been better off pruning a lot of the side missions and making a more Theme Park game like the previous ME games were instead of this "your quest log is full with a gazillion quests all over the place". It does make the game lose a lot of tempo and it is hard to keep focus on the main story.

However, it is a beautiful game, the fighting is awesome and the companions are fun. Even if it's not the best in the seriies, it is still well worth getting and much much better than the critics on the internet might have lead you to believe.

But finally the plot is to take the breath, when we come to an end, that feeling of having read a long book and unfortunately have finished it. Fighting system: Best of all ME's. The Abilitys are great, especially for biotics. [10/10]
Dialogues: Very detailed and much fun. [Good language/Translation etc.]

(Bugisoft, Bugthesda, etc)

There is a good general idea and plot. Pleasant and interesting game-play. Beautiful graphics and surroundings. Not really boring craft, like in many other games with crafting. And I incredibly liked everything that was connected with ancient civilization and its influence on the terraforming of planets. And yes, I also liked to flirt with the Azari girl... And yes, the game could be better optimized and not change my PC and PS4 into a vacuum cleaner every time I go to the Tempest. And yes, more than three active skills would be welomed.
But other than that I really enjoyed the game (finished it 3 times on PC and 3 times on PS4). And to be honest, tell me one single RPG game that gives you this feeling of space travel. I mean you can park the ship in a nebula, near a black hole, in an asteroid field or in orbit around a planet nad just look outside and see it in all its beauty.
And also name me a single scifi RPG that has been released since Andromeda. Only two come to my mind, Technomancer and Elex. And while both are excellent games (yes, I played both), none of them is about a space travel.
