    İt is basically 2002 game for 60$. Graphics are bad, gameplay is bad everything is bad abaut this remastred. If they was made remake like Mafia 1 it would be worth 60$. But it not worth 60$. What a shame for rockstar games. Please dont buy this game!

They delivered a poorly made port with gameplay improvements, but completely spoiling the legacy of these 3 iconic games. The Rockstar of 2021 is not the same as the one of 2004 and didn't deserve to have the right to tinker with those games. The game has constant crashes, which impede the progressThey promised a remaster with gameplay improvements without losing the essence of the game. They delivered a poorly made port with gameplay improvements, but completely spoiling the legacy of these 3 iconic games. The Rockstar of 2021 is not the same as the one of 2004 and didn't deserve to have the right to tinker with those games. The game has constant crashes, which impede the progress in the missions, the 3D models and textures of the characters are horrible, they even mischaracterized the protagonists. They screwed up the art direction of the games, added draw distance, but without solving the visual problems this causes, the rain "dirties" the screen so you can't see anything, there are bizarre reflections that prevent you from seeing characters in cutscenes. The traffic is chaotic with crazy NPCs exploding all the time, there are spelling mistakes on the advertisement boards all over the city. There are lore errors like the 1992 OG Loc disc present in GTA Vice City in 1986. This game was made by bad professionals, who didn't know the games, it's just a cash grab, DON'T BUY THIS GAME.… Expand

    It's just awful, so also for a lot of money, rockstar, I expected more from you, a disgrace, okay, GTA 3 still looks fine, but everything else is just awful, they didn't do normal shooting, cut out the music, added censorship, just a shame.

R* has no respect for their fans anymorr, no more quality standards, all they know are the shark cards.     How did the company that made rdr2 release such a game? It's a shame. Just compare the level of study on the PS2 and this! I don't say anything about bugs at all, there are just a bunch of them in places where they weren't. It's a disgrace to Rockstar!

    Terrible remaster. Nothing more than a quick cashgrab from Takedown Two which are the same **** with an anti-modding stance and that took down numerous mods and sued modders because they came up with something far better than this terrible remaster.

    I used to respect Rockstar and really like the original trilogy games. I was hoping that this remaster would have at least something good. But that's a shame - we got a new Reforged. A complete failure in development. Gameplay mechanics are broken. Pedestrian paths are broken. The visual style is lost. The characters were turned into the freaks and characters of the Simpsons. Why use a newI used to respect Rockstar and really like the original trilogy games. I was hoping that this remaster would have at least something good. But that's a shame - we got a new Reforged.     And that's the best entry in the trilogy.

    Vice City suffers from all of the above, and in addition has had a fair chunk of content changed or removed entirely. There's no more Billy Jean right at the start, or any Haitians later on, just to mention a few.
    Driving controls seem to have been changed a bit, but only slightly. Just enough so muscle memory from the old games doesn't entirely transfer 1:1. Cars feel heavier, they slip and slide around and spin out of control just grazing up against the environment. It's also a bit more difficult to fall off a motorbike, leading to some... interesting glitches. Of course, they also suffer from being more slippery and having a wider turning circle, making navigating tight alleys that much more tricky. Boats seem to also have a wider turning circle, make of that what you will.

    San Andreas seems to have suffered the most. Apart from all the basic issues also present in the other two titles, there's a fair amount of removed content, some of which don't make any sense at all and just come off as lazy. As an example, CJ's alternative animation sets have been removed, so fat CJ and buff CJ also use skinny animations. Skill level dependent animations have also been removed, so CJ will always hip-fire assault rifles and turn his head around while reversing, even if shooting and driving skills are maxed out.

    The distance fog effects have been removed from all three games, making the maps look and feel like Fisher Price versions of big, sprawling locales. Fortunately it is possible to turn the render distance down on PC, giving you back maybe a tinge of the sense of scale that the originals had.

    I'm not even going to mention the dumb-looking and out-of-place characters that seem to somehow seem to have less detail now than they did almost two decades ago, or the lack of proper physics despite the Unreal Engine having perfectly serviceable physics right out of the box.

    I had extremely low expectations, and they still weren't met.
    Think I'll stick to the originals with community fixes & mods. Still a massively better experience than this. I'd encourage anyone looking to buy this out there to instead pick up a used disc copy of the OG trilogy, or to go ahead and pirate them, since Rockstar obviously don't want to be making any more money on those, and skip the "Definitive Editions" entirely.    … Expand

I thought was just for me, after i saw all the world was like me. After 3 hours the launcher went off and after 5 hour they remove the game, no detail, no money, no refund. For do not talk about texture, pods and rain. I really loved R* but after this they lost my pocket.… Expand

    In addition, in these games you have kept all bugs that were not corrected earlier and added new ones. You understand? This looks like an "alpha" version.

    The great list of things does not fit together here graphiccly, e.g. the end of the sea is visible in the distance, as if we were in a rectangle or on a flat ground. Clouds and sky are terrible, they don't suit these games at all (mainly GTA3). The rain is a shameful imitation of it.

    Optimisation is bad. All of the cites don't have it's own atmosphere and weather. The behavior of peds or the number of cars is the same, and it could be taken from GTA V (and many more).

    Most of the characters and npcs look terrible. I only like Claude.

    You didn't even add drivers to cars in the intro of GTA3 ...

    You guys really did a little work on it, because adding effects is a matter of the engine. Changing textures is a matter of upscaling and artificial intelligence. Sounds are too compressed. Quality lacking. Cities are empty as always.

    I thought that we will get physics from GTA V, new animations, that Claude will be able to fly the Dodo normally, that he will be able to swim, crouch, hide behind the walls. You could give a lot of new implementations, and for fans of old games, just leave them for sale. Then they would have a comparison.

    You have condemned the players to suffering. Either you fix it, or the shame will linger behind you, or give this trilogy away for free for owners of old versions. Or take another 2 years to fix it and get it right. And read player reviews, listen to them, not make it your own way!

    Powdered corpse, that's what it's called. There aren't many improvements here!

    You'd better remaster City Stories (LC and VC) to work on PC. This is what we can appreciate even with no changing in phycics and other important things.

    o jogo tá cheio de bugs e removeram a versão de pc, e é bastante caro. eu gastei 300 conto para um jogo que nem funciona direito, que tá cheio de bugs, e que removeram. minha nota é 0 (the game is bugs and they removed the pc version, and it's quite expensive. I spent 300 contos for a game that doesn't even work right, that's full of bugs, and they removed it. my grade is 0)

    The one positive I can take from this game is that it makes me want to play the originals…

Take-Two/Rockstar spends more time suing modders here and there, busy removing all kinds of big mods that have been in development for years and busy erasing the circulation of the original game rather than spending time remastering the game properly Instead of recruiting modders who have years of experience who know all the bugs and detail of the game, they give the remaster project to a studio whose people don't seem to have played the classic version of the game at all. Unlike Valve, which treats modders well (recruiting people who make counter strike mods so that the game becomes a standalone game), Take-Two actually oppresses and threatens to sue the modders to delete their mod projects. Poor performance, high specs with graphics far for 2021 standards, ugly character design, Vehicle physics the same as the classic version (using Damage model instead of dynamic like they do in IV and V) and without ragdoll physics, Removal of popular soundtrack on radio (GTA Killed the radio star) , the audio quality is no improvement and the high price makes it really worth not buying and it doesn't deserve to be called the Definitive version… Expand

    This is another way for Rockstar taking your money. Better to buy the games on the second hand market or spend your money elsewhere.

    An utterly broken, glitchy, poorly made, sad excuse of a remaster. Filled with typos on the vast majority of textures, broken normal maps, character models that look like the Sims 2, this game is virtually a downgrade in every way from the original games. And the fact that they have removed the ability to buy the original games adds insult to injury.

    I hate to say this, but 2 Kids with a mod tool can do better than this big company.
    Played the game and it looks the same as before,
    I rate you to buy for 60$ the mods and the old game.
    With the mods it looks more like a remaster than this.

    GTA Definitive Edition is painfully and unfathomably bad. In nearly all ways, it is a worse experience than the original twenty year-old games. There is so much wrong with it, that it would take for ever just to list it. The game introduces an array of bugs not present in the original and messes up nearly everything else.

    This trilogy does not deserve to be called a "definitive". The quality of these games is terrible, they are inconvenient to play, they look bad, they slow down on my 3070 Ti, i7 10700K and 32 Gb RAM.

    This is such a poor port, it can only be considered as an out of season April fools joke. It looks absolutely horrible and definitely is not for me (i am so glad i secured the original versions, before they pulled them from the online stores).

    I can't play on PC. Rockstar deleted the game and the launcher falls all time. I bought the game the release day, two days ago, AND I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO PLAY IT YET. SHAME ROCKSTAR

    it's just the disappointment of the year. Although this is a remaster, this does not mean that only the graphics and reflections need to be updated. They didn't even want to make new Animations. There are also bugs when starting the game.

    Rockstar dropped the ball on this remaster. The cars and other moving models look like plastic toys and the cities look like polished excrement. The contrast between the environment and the models is horrible and the list of bugs is long and obnoxious. Quality of life changes are the only redeeming part of this remaster that does no favours for fans or newcomers. Skip it until they either fix it or let the moders do their job.

    I cannot currently recommend Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition on the PC, and a lot has to happen until I do. The truth is that I've had a decent amount of fun with this remaster; part of it is based on nostalgia, and part of it is based on some ridiculous, unavoidable bugs that weren't as frequent as I'd feared. Given all of these issues and the abysmal performance of the three games on the PC, I'd stay away from the trilogy until several major updates have been released. Even then, this remaster may not be for everyone.

    Overall, Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition was set up to be one of the best things for GTA fans and it failed to hit that mark. It will now be remembered as a failure to launch title but I am sure Rockstar will step in and continue to fix some items within their game world.
