    The fact that tons of people are giving this game a zero score should pretty much tell you that people are review bombing the game. I never played this game at launch so can't comment on that but the game now is quite good. I have never paid a cent in micro-transactions or fallout first and still have no problems whatsoever. This game is massively complex and if you don't take the time to learn how the mechanics work, you aren't going to be very good at it. Perk cards, weapon types, legendary effects on weapons and armor, mutations, stealth, food buffs, chems, ammo type all have a massive effect on how your character will play. Understanding damage mitigation for fire, radiation, explosions, energy weapons and ballistic weapons also play a role. Different enemies have different mitigations as do your character depending on how you configure it. On top of that, you need to understand how PvP rules work if you wish to engage in it. If you don't, then just turn pacifist mode on. Don't let the review bombers rob you of a great game.… Expand

    Don't listen to the haters. Its a great mashup of fallout, survival online games and a MMO. Is it just like all the other fallout games, no. Its online and way earlier in the timeline. Is it as brutal as say Rust? No, its a softer game but still have definite survival aspects. Is it as boring as MMOs have been these last few years? No, they quests are interesting, varied and full ofDon't listen to the haters. Its a great mashup of fallout, survival online games and a MMO. Is it just like all the other fallout games, no. No, they quests are interesting, varied and full of fallout humor. Right now a bunch of fallout fanboys and girls wanted a new fallout title with everything that fallout 4 but better, but lets take a second to remember that when fallout 4 dropped everyone was like this game "NEEDS" to be multiplayer so here we are full circle. I personally love the game, I think it has everything a fallout title needs for it feel fallouty while still being playable in an online since. There are a few issues but lets be clear, none of them surmount to anything like a score on meta critic below that of No Man's Sky at release. I'll do a pro and cons list below but mostly I wanted to say I think the "Professional" game reviews started a lie of hate for this game and its now become cool to hate this game.

    Pros
    - Feels like Fallout
    - Graphic look good
    - Stories on holotapes well voice acted.
    - Perk system is interesting and adds enough variance to leveling up your character may take a few levels to min max, giving you something to work for.
    - Fast travel system works great and the caps cost is a great game balancer
    - Public events that aren't terribly annoying.

    Cons
    - Bugs, they aren't game breaking but a few of the release bugs are quite annoying.
    - Open mic, what were they thinking.
    - Stash storage limit, again what were they thinking? (Already been addressed with update to fix incoming.)
    - No being able to scrap ammo. Stupid.

    Overall I'd give the release a 8 out of 10.

    Bottom line, its a fun, new survival MMO set in the fallout world where everything still feels very much fallouty. Bugs are there none are so bad you shouldn't play and the game will likely continue to improve over the next few months. Don't jump on the hype train, the game is for sure worth playing.    … Expand

    I've had a great time playing this game and i still am. It is not as bad as people say it is. And i didn't play with friends a third of the time i've played it and it was still fun.
    I've seen tons of videos hating on Fallout 76 and i can debunk all of the fake and retarded facts they're bringing up.

    Fallout 76 was very buggy and kind of boring on release, there is no arguing about that. But over the past couple months the game has improved ALOT. Countless bugfixes have made the game alot more stable and bugs are far less frequent. (Barely notice them at all anymore). Bethesda have been releasing new updates at a steady pase, adding multiple new questlines, more events and a survivalFallout 76 was very buggy and kind of boring on release, there is no arguing about that. But over the past couple months the game has improved ALOT. Countless bugfixes have made the game alot more stable and bugs are far less frequent. (Barely notice them at all anymore). Bethesda have been releasing new updates at a steady pase, adding multiple new questlines, more events and a survival gamemode for the people who wanted to fight other players without restricitions. They've announced they'll be adding human NPCs to the game and that they're going to give us a good old Fallout main-storyline. Right now the main questline might not be that interesting, but I still highly recommend giving the game a try, especially since you can find it pretty cheap in most places. The community is one of the best ones I've seen, and are extremely kind to new players. Then there's also Nuclear Winter, which I personally was pretty sceptical about. But I must say I've enjoyed it alot, from the teamwork, to the stability in NW to the fact you can launch nukes during the match. So, in conclusion, Fallout 76 is alot better now.… Expand

    I played fallout 76 right now and i can tell you that the game right now is much more worth it, most of its bugs and glitches were fixed compared to when it launched and its pvp mode is super fun too, the battle and its rewards are also free and not pay, trust me the game right now is mucho more worth it

    All over a great game. There are some bugs but that is normal that bethesda is going massive multiplayer. Most critics are spoiled brats or asian commies. They do need to expand the support team so people can receive immediate support but other than that stop grinding till you burn out on every game like a brat or just take the time to appreciate the beauty such as fallout 76 life has toAll over a great game.     Dopo il lancio il gioco è migliorato tantissimo grazie all'introduzione di nuova storia e nuove modalità adatta a tutti i tipi di giocatori. La storia non è bella come quella dei suoi predecessori ma riesce comunque a coinvolgere i giocatori a continuarla. Un altro miglioramento apportato al gioco è stato l'engine che che nonostante qualche texture orrenda offre un nuovo sistema diDopo il lancio il gioco è migliorato tantissimo grazie all'introduzione di nuova storia e nuove modalità adatta a tutti i tipi di giocatori.     I think its a great fallout game, been playing it alot since release. If you're interested in the game, just look on lets play videos on the game and decide for yourself. Don't listen to the youtubers that just copy their information from other youtubers and subreddit.

    Most servers are full and the players are very helpful.

    I highly pushing your way to level 50 before you decide not to play. Stay rested, eat some cranberry and you will soar through levels in less than 24 hours game time.    … Expand

    This game is not as bad as people say. The main idea of all games of bethesda is present. Players can do everything they want, the are so many different locations to visit and many enemies to defeat and rewards to beat them. Graphics are bad and there are technical errors but the game is still fun

    Fortunately, Atomic Shop doesn't sell Legendary Modules that I can waste all my money on to get the 3 legendary effects I want for every single weapon I have, for every single piece of armor I have (for both sets: 5/5 Heavy leather armor and 5/5 Heavy metal armor), for every single piece of power armor I have    I wanted to buy Legendary Modules for $ real money to get THE EFFECTS I WANT!!!
    Fortunately, Atomic Shop doesn't sell Legendary Modules that I can waste all my money on to get the 3 legendary effects I want for every single weapon I have, for every single piece of armor I have (for both sets: 5/5 Heavy leather armor and 5/5 Heavy metal armor), for every single piece of power armor I have (for the current 6/6 T-51b and for the future 6/6 T-65).     I bought this game for PS4 at launch. It was without a doubt, one of the worst, most buggiest, boring and downright annoying games I have ever played.
    I've recently downloaded it using xbox live game pass, playing on P.C.
    If you put all bethesda's dodgy dealings and goings on aside and look at what they have done with this game since, its absolutely astonishing.     The graphics are slightly dated and the combat similiar to older games but the introduction of N.P.C's has really made this game into a true fallout experience.

    I am so happy that Bethesda didn't just bin this game and that they stayed true to their word in the end.

    This game for me is about on par with F04.

    I liked it more when they had more love for the PvP. but its a nice place to live for a while. but i dont feel like it has too much life let in it unless they revamp PvP in major ways.

    Distress are in those who dont play the game. Dispair in these who refunded this magnum opus. Gaming has truly peaked with this game. On a beutifull and mercyless wasteland.     In general, a good product. Yes, it has bugs, animation problems, you can get stuck in the texture, the quest can stop working, but this is still the same Fallout

    I do understand that this game sucked from the start and i said to myself that i would never buy it or play it.
    I was watching a stream of a guy playing a bit and had to try it now that it cost almost nothing.
    And what can i say its amazing after so many patches. i dont think i have had this much fun in a game in 10+ years "Skyrim" im 3 weeks in and have put over 180 hours in this game    I do understand that this game sucked from the start and i said to myself that i would never buy it or play it.

    You can play it singelplayer if you want but if you play it multiplayer it only gets better.
    Only thing they need to do now is remove the overpowerd legacy weapons so new players have a chans to do any damage on a boss before its dead.

    I'd like to give this game a 10/10 just to counter these unfair negative or antiquated reviews. However, I'll keep it a 8/10 for how I feel the game is as I'm progressing through it.

    I'm having a blast traversing through the Appalachia. I do feel that this game doesn't do much for co-op or multiplayer. To say the least it is a bit boring in co-op and is not challenging enough.

    However, where the game does shine is when playing as if single player or lone wanderer. Graphics and environment is beautiful. The combat and stealth mechanics are well fleshed out. The NPC interaction and quests are refreshing enough.

    There are some lurking hidden dangers where the player can die rather quickly. Overall I'm going to keep playing until complete. I do wish the difficulty would scale better. I like a challenge.    … Expand

    I have played over 2000 hours, and I love the game, reason is live service online team with players play on public events, visiting player's camps, storyline and side quests are good, able to turn PVP off in setting, activities are always keep going and never ending, infinite fun. I played over 2000 hours and the game is the best game I ever play. I love how camp set up anywhere I want around Appalachia. I love this game, man!     I've been playing since the Beta and I love this game. The updates over the past 5 years have kept me interested in this game longer than any other Fallout in the series. I sincerely hope Bethesda takes all the good stuff from 76 when they start working on Fallout 5. Mutations are a game changer and in a world that is dealing with mutants on the daily, I can't believe 76 is the firstI've been playing since the Beta and I love this game.     Fallout 76 represents a big disappointment and the lowest point of the series so far. Riddled with bugs, repetitive and dull gameplay, nonexistent story and outdated graphics, it fails as a both multiplayer and singleplayer experience for fans and newcomers alike.

    Miracles do happen once in a while and No Man’s Sky proved that sometimes it is possible to get back on your feet even after a terrible failure. Right now though Fallout 76 is botched spectacularly on so many levels that even talking about this game is a waste of time. [01/2019, p.46]
