It is a shame that Fallout 76 is currently being bashed by bandwagon fanboys. First, let us get something straight. You have not played Fallout from the beginning if the first Fallout game you played was 3. There are three Fallout entries before that. You have not played Fallout from the beginning if the first Fallout game you played was 3. There are three Fallout entries before that. Second, Fallout 3 and after are not true representations of what Fallout was. They are great games. But, they are merely games that are set in the Fallout universe. Third, stop basing reviews solely on what you expected because of your experience with Fallout games since 3.

Ok, there is no linear story that holds your hand and tells you were to go. You're given a world and told, "Go, Play." If you need a linear story that gives you the sense of "I got to the end, I'm a badass!", this game is not for you. If, like me, start up all Bethesda games and say, "Screw the story imma do what I want!", you will enjoy this game.

The game is beautiful. People who say the graphics are terrible are full of it and may just need to consider upgrading their rigs or configuring it properly. There are some bugs, yes, but that is to be expected. If you really want a simulated experience of living in the forest without any glitches, stop playing video games so much and go camping. I've read about people complaining the blur effect. Let me ask you, is your peripheral HD quality? No, you have to actually look at something to see it clearly...and guess what happens in 76 when you have your cursor on something.

The fact that you get the majority of the information about the world through documents and terminals is a great idea. Why? Well because you're in a post apocalyptic world and most people are dead. Did you expect to come out of the ground and it be Disney World out there? It should be worse than the dark ages. Come on, it's going to be lonely.

And that brings me to the amount of players. I like that it is not like Elder Scrolls Online and that it is not a king of the hill game made by the player base. Low play count on servers means that it still feels like a solo wander through the waste if you want it to. But you can hit up friends or make new friends to help you with the adventure that you make. I highly suggest trying the game by grouping with a friend or two and say, "Hey, let's go...um...there." and see what you just come across on the way. It's great.

In the end I believe this is a great game and the majority of bad reviews should be taken with a grain of salt because most of it is written by overly critical gamers who are looking for the flaws because it's not the same as the 3d Fallout's that have come out prior. Like I said, if you need your hand held in a game and pointed in a direction, this game is not for you at all. If you enjoy finding your own path and exploring just to have a good time, you will enjoy this very much.

The game has its bugs, but it plays great. The lore is integrated into the world perfectly. People just like to complain because it is not exactly what they want. This game matches the creators vision perfectly and my friends and I all enjoy this greatly.

The entire premise of the game is that there are NO NPCs, people then get mad that there are none. I don't get it, it's online Fallout 11/10

But being a long standing Fallout fan I bought the game anyway. First impressions wow the graphics are beautiful and the map is the biggest I have ever seen in a game! I am really enjoying this game but I must stress it is a game enjoyed best with friends or family. If you expect this game to be like Fallout 4 forget it. This is a very different game. Beautiful graphics, fantastic atmosphere, exploration and death around every corner, building and sharing a camp with your friends that has to be defended! A lot of negative reviews are from people who go into this game thinking it is Fallout 5. It is the Fallout universe, but online. All of your typical badass enemies are there from the previous games, super mutants, deathclaws, etc. But there are literally hundreds more different enemies on this game from dangerous wildlife to the strange like Mothman. Also as it is online Bethesda are planning to continue to support the game with updates and extra DLC that is totally free. So it can only get better. But you either love it or hate it. If you like atmosphere, shooting bad guys, survival all alongside your friends in a game, then this is a game for you! .. and yes I am actually enjoying it more than Fallout 4 because I can now play Fallout with my friends instead of being on my own surrounded by artificial characters! If you are not afraid of change I say buy this game and give it a try! Expand

Yes, it has bugs. Every damn game since the original Fallout has had issues. I won't argue that point as it has been proven time and again that every Fallout has had some serious technical flaws.
My experience with Fallout 76 however has been overall an amazing experience that keeps me coming back to explore more and more of the enormous map of Appalachia. I've definitely experienced my share of bugs: 1 CTD, 1 infinite loading screen, 2 instances of taking damage from no visible source, multiple instances of crafting menus failing to load when interacting with workbenches, etc.
The fact that the game keeps me coming back for more -despite these bugs- is a testament to just how much fun it is to play. Even better is the fact that BGS will be actively supporting the game with patches and updated content.
Which brings me to the micro-transaction issue. I don't see one in this game. All optional purchases are purely cosmetic and have zero effect on game-play aside from letting you flaunt your style as you explore. You don't even have to spend actual money on the items as you earn plenty of Atoms (the in-game premium currency) from achievements as you play (including daily challenges).
Speaking of playing, the new VATS feels -to me- like the best iteration yet. It reminds of the turn-based days of Fallout where you didn't actually aim at your targets in an FPS fashion but would instead rely on VATS to give you a general percentage to hit your opponent (with the option of targeting specific body parts with a high AP cost - much like how in FO76 you get a general aim-assisted chance to hit the body until you invest in the proper perks to be able to target individual body parts). I honestly didn't rely on VATS all that much Fallout 3, 4, or New Vegas as it was simple enough to hit the enemy without it. But the somewhat clunky aiming in FO76 (thanks to serve connections and multiple players all causing some lag) makes the new VATS all the more useful for landing that one critical shot on a quick enemy that's getting wayyyyy too close.
Enemies, by the way, that are just as varied and interesting as the previous installments (with a few new wonderful cryptid oddities mixed in!). Oh and the NPCs are still there! Yes, many of them are actually dead and rotting corpses, but you'll still find some living characters that are just as fun to meet (even if you can't have an actual conversation with them).
Visually, the game is a definite upgrade from Fallout 4 (yeah, I think it's pretty and the god rays actually work now, fight me). You'll notice a bit more detail in all the armors and items and enemies (though it's still not as high res as I'd like, i'm okay with it as is.) and the sounds you hear from every shot and grunt and piece of junk are very pleasing.
To those worried about griefers - good news! There's next to none of it! At least I haven't experienced any in the ~80 hours of play time I've logged. Plenty of friendly interactions with other players teaming up, trading, guiding new players, and even setting up fully equipped C.A.M.P.s for everyone to use!
As for the story of the game, well, I haven't completed it so I can't say all that much except that the bits that I've gone through have been excellent.
Honestly, this game is 100% worth giving try. Don't let all the loud detractors get you down on what is honestly a very fun experience.

These stories are usually told by holotapes or terminals or also by letters. But the strongest tool Bethesda used was the world itself which often tells the deepest and most touching stories only by showing what's left of the people formerly living here and leaving the player to his own imagination.
This creates an immerse atmosphere I've only experienced in other Fallout games before but never at this level. I can't tell what's better, getting a deep dive into lone wolf explorers lifestyle or teaming up with the group I'm often playing with. It mostly depends on the mood I'm in because naturally the time I spend with actually studying and listening to the games lore is less when I'm playing in a group. The thing is: I really can't decide. It's hard to turn down an invitation of your friends. Coop is a blast in this game! But with the indirect story telling you can't be 100% focused on all the details with 3 friends talking in discord. Nevertheless, I absolutely support the decision of not having human NPCs in this game because it contributes so much to what makes this game so good!

Performance-wise I can't complain. The games looks good. Great for the Creative engine but only good for 2018. But it runs smoothly on 3440x1440 maxed out on my machine and the XBOX game-pad makes it feel like home, because I played all bethesda games that way. To be fair I have to say: it isn't necessary to use the Creative engine again in 2018 - at least not in this state with the same flaws since Morrorwind. I mean, mouse and keyboard controls feel clunky and not thought through and there are still bugs which have to be known because they are in the game since Fallout 4. But these critics weigh so less compared, because the game represents what Bethesda's good at and why we love their games. I mean, I can't give 10/10. The game isn't perfect but it surely is 90%!

The good - it's fallout with friends. The bad - little story / lore.

Many of the complaints I read are people not understanding / liking the progression changes like unlocking recipes to make stuff, researching, or engaging with the world looking for hints. It's almost like a wasteland detective game of future anthropologists trying to figure out how everyone died and became rad zombies.

Story wise, it's very slow to get started, and the holotapes are boring for the first hour or two, but once the story gets going and the more interesting characters show up it is a very enjoyable story.

I, like many others play Fallout however for the exploration. And i can say they have nailed this, the differentiation of areas across Appalachia are just breathtaking and i'm still loving the exploration and finding new places despite having been all over.

Gameplay is goof, with some issues mainly PvP needing a lot of work.

Graphics are good, not Arma3 . RDR2 levels, but they're good.

I've had a blast playing this both alone and with a team of 3, and honestly, for the £30 i got this for, it's been worth every penny, i'd happily have paid full price if i knew i would enjoy it this much.

Don't ignore the haters, read what they have to say, because the game is flawed, but i see a bright future for it.

For all those review bombers where people complain that this isn't a single player game, that this isn't fallout New Vegas, etc. They're giving it zero score to try and push down it's rating because it isn't what they want. I don't go to a restaurant that serves nothing but chili and then give it a bad review because my chili wasn't sushi, and what I really wanted was sushi. That's just nonsense, and it is nonsense to give a game a 0 rating because it isn't a single player game. I'm sure the review bombers will keep on review bombing until they've realized that no amount of whining and foot stomping is going to change the fact that there are plenty of people who are loving this game for what it is, a multiplayer survival game.

The world feels empty and alive at the same time : the post-apocalyptic vibe is here but stories are here and there, monsters (now more various thanks to a better bestiary) blend nicely with their environment. Haven't visited all the regions (3/5), but they are really distinctive and well designed, with their own theme. The weather effects are nice, but aren't visually impactful enough (had a radstorm that lasted 5 minutes).
Then comes the story, which is linked to the "no human NPC"-thing(/drama). And it's good. It bring this "thing" in the post-apocalyptic vibe. Quests/stories are different, sure, but "they work", Moreover, it makes the few NPC you meet, or holotapes you read, important. You're happy to see or hear someone. You want to know them, you -want to- care more for them.
Sure, it take away the impact you have, and for that, it's not perfect. There are some other "problem", like the stash/carry limitation, but they're not so much of problem, than a way of playing (don't hoard everything. Choose what to take and what to keep. Choose which weapon you use and which you can't. It's part of the survival aspect of the game.

Overall, it's a good game. Didn't had any real bug, nor problem, though some people might really have. It's something different, something not everyone might enjoy. But it does not deserve the hate it receives. I've played more than 24h, and I really enjoyed every bit of it.

Not ideal game because of bugs and etc. but it stills a fallout game. There is not reasons to hate it. First of all, it's online, and i like this game so much as i like 4th part of game.

I have met few glitches when playing, mainly floating heads when watching dead enemy, but it's stable for me.

I would definetly recommend this game for LAN-party, or coop-game with friends. Singleplayer or playing with random people just won't give same feeling of looting, exploring and killing things.

I DON'T base my enjoyment of a game on issues that only occur through specific steps to exploit the game. Exploits get fixed. Exploits are cheating and can be avoided by simply not doing them.

Fallout 76 is a FUN game to play. The crafting, quests, environmental storytelling (props, dead bodies, notes, etc paint a picture), base building, gun-play, and the ability to experience it all with friends all lead to a very fun game to play. The amount of bugs you encounter while playing normally (not cheating/exploiting) isn't terribly high and are all just annoyances rather than game breaking, not to mention being addressed by the developers.

A majority of the complaints in people's reviews seem to suggest a number of possibilities:
    1. They didn't play the game for more than an hour.
    2. They're only basing it on videos they've seen of people using exploits.
    3. They've seen videos of exploits and purposely use them in the game, which would severely ruin any sense of fun.
    4. They're huge fans of having story told to them directly through hand held quests, and never bother to look around the world to find a note next to two dead bodies holding hands, that tells a story of betrayal with a hint to go to another location that with even more story, etc etc. Basically, Fallout 76 is absolutely FULL of story, interesting quest lines, and neat little secrets, but it's not fed to you by a single NPC. You have to investigate, read, and actually look at the environment (how are bodies placed, are there any items lying near them, is there a note telling you to go somewhere else, etc.).

So if you're the type of person that is impatient, only interested in running around as fast as possible to find the next NPC to tell you exactly what to do, and unable to enjoy more subtle stories, then you might not enjoy Fallout 76. If you DO enjoy that sort of thing, and/or you enjoy games with crafting and shooting all sorts of bad guys you might enjoy Fallout 76.

It is not like the game completely lacks a story or npcs, no, there is a lot of story, quests and even interesting characters such as Rose and the Overseer.

I am currently over level 95 and probably played the game for over 100 hours and I am still enjoying every single bit of it. I mostly play alone, but playing with friends is very enjoyable. The whole explore, loot and fight hard enemies togethre aspect is very fun. Get to share resources and help each other out.

While you can tell PVP was not a focus of the game, the bit that does exist is also quite fun, such as fighting over a workshop.

If people have been expecting a singleplayer game then I can understand you are disappointed, but to review bomb this game over personal taste like that is not okay. People that also expected a new engine for this game... just... why were you expecting so much over what clearly is a sort-of "experiment". Their focus lies more on Starfield and TES6, so they wanted to reduce development time. If they decided to get a completely new engine then we probably wouldn't even have heard anything in about a year or 2 of this game. Creation works fine for this game, it just has a lot of bugs and come on, is graphics really such an important factor in games these days? Gameplay and story over graphics I say!

I love this game, but because of the bugs I can't give it a full 10. If Bethesda gets their **** together however and fixes problems the game has then I will give it a full 10!

The map is the best in any of the series so far, huge and pretty rich with different biomes, you will find yourself walking from a pretty forest to a mutated swamp.

The story of the game is narrated through holotapes of the people that are already dead (you will find new npc's in the next season with the waste landers free update) since you come here from the vault 25 years later, a lot has happened and there is a new plague on the region, that is the main quest and story so far.

I player throught a lot of bugs since the day 1 so i can say that the game is really playable and despite people thrashing the game it's actually pretty ok, i encourage you to give it a chance now if you have nothing to play, also it's pretty cheap.

With the introduction of Human NPCs and dialog trees, makes me excited to see how the game is going to change in the fall. INB4 people complain saying that they should have had them in the beginning, but the way the main story is, it would have not worked out.

Now I´m really enjoying myself; playing solo or with my wife in co-op. The atmosphere is fantastic, the quests fun and it´s enjoyable to snipe your enemies from afar using your sniper rifle or getting in close and personal with the machete.
Sure, the game still have some flaws (the stash is much too small, too much limit building your BASE, lack of written chat), but Bethesda has been listening to the players and has promised to fix these things in upcoming patches.
The game is slowburn, RPG filled with lore and atmosphere. Do not listen to all the bad reviews; once you adjust to 76 mechanisms, it´s really lots of fun.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Fallout 76 is a new take on the old franchise, as you all know. Instead of a traditional RPG, they took it online and removed "intelligent" NPCs, effectively replacing them with live people. One of the major taglines of the game was to explore post-apocalyptic West Virginia with friends, and to that extent, they delivered what they promised.

The concept is great depending on who you ask. I understand if some people just don't like the idea of a Fallout that's not single player and one that has much fewer RPG elements, but where were all the criers when they released The Elder Scrolls Online? It's essentially the same treatment, and I feel like that's where a lot of the issues are coming from.

From a technical standpoint, the game is downright broken in many ways. This is the thing I see being complained about the second most. The amount of bugs in Fallout 76 is inexcusable, plain and simple. They're a AAA company, they shouldn't have released this game in this state. I've had numerous crashes, and an uncountable number of other minor glitches. I can look past small things like occasional T-poses and sparse physics issues, but the most annoying one so far has been invisible enemies that you can't do anything about and it's happened twice to both my cousin and me. That all needs fixed asap, and I'm fairly optimistic that Bethesda has a hold on things...it's just that these fixes don't happen overnight. It stems back to the idea that this game was released one or two years too early, but it's too late for that now. We all just have to make the best of it.

One major gripe of mine is the base-building. The CAMP mode isn't exactly lackluster, but the build limit is pretty small. You can't get away with more than a small two-story building if you plan on decorating it at all. Taking settlements/workshops on the map is fun, and you can generally do a lot more since you don't really have to build a building first. Stash limit is also painfully low, but Bethesda has already addressed the issue claiming they'll up the limit once they see how the servers respond.

Looking past those horrible things, the gameplay is actually fun when it works. I play with my cousin, and we've enjoyed our time in it. It's nice to finally have a Fallout game that you can enjoy with a friend - The world feels very much like a Fallout world, the monsters are very Fallout, the guns are as well...It's Fallout. The combat is fun and engaging, especially in a group of two. You can get overrun very easily, so it's challenging in that way at times. We're coming up on level 30, and there are still many areas that we've had problems with due to our low levels; there's a lot more exploring to do. That's all we want, really. More exploration, more backstory (notes, terminal logs, etc), and more guns, and other stuff to discover.

I've heard some critics say that the world is dull and boring, poorly created, and just an overall mess. Some areas of the world are tricky to traverse, but you don't want the world to be super easy to navigate. I've seen zero issues with the world thus far, and it's not really boring either. There are plenty of areas with interesting and unique places to discover. The worst part about the world is that many buildings are locked/boarded up tight. It would be nice to be able to explore more interiors, but I'm at least hoping they add it as DLC down the road. For instance, (map spoiler?) there's an attraction sort of North on the map which is a crashed satellite. I was hoping there'd be a way to get in and explore the interior, but there isn't...at least not that I've found. Other than stuff like that, I'm enjoying the world a lot.

Nukes are interesting - I've see folks complain about how it doesn't fit the lore or the overall tone of the previous games. While it doesn't exactly fit in with the theme of atomic bombs being terrifying and the end of the world, I think in a spinoff game like 76, it can be overlooked. Fallout Shelter is a spinoff game with no real lore to it. How is it so hard to overlook minor lore issues in 76?

At the end of the day, Bethesda had an idea for an online game set in the Fallout universe. They set out to make a game that you could play with your buds and just have a good time with. Sure, it's broken, but with time, I think they'll fix it (or get it as close to fixed as they possibly can). People are overreacting to this game. If this style of game isn't for you, just don't buy it. You knew what this would be...Bethesda was completely transparent about the state of the game and what the gameplay would entail all the way back from E3.

My final word: It's a decent attempt at taking a previously-single-player-only franchise online. Bethesda fell short on polishing the game, but the core experience is there. Once they iron out all the wrinkles that keep the game from functioning as it should, I think it'll be a good game.

I don't normally review games but after having seen the disgrace that has been the close-minded negative reviews that people/critics have been posting lately I felt I had to, purely in the hopes that someone might see this and realize that there are still people out there that can appreciate the things that can make a game great. Don't get me wrong there are many things in this game that Bethesda could do with fixing, the odd server crash, quests that you are unable to continue, stash size to name but a few. I've given this game 9/10 because I believe these can all be fixed. What I don't understand is how people can give this game a 1/10. These people are clearly all expecting Fallout 5 or something completely different, which Bethesda have been very open in saying that this is not that. If you are expecting this game to be exactly like it's predecessors then you will be disappointed. Instead what Bethesda have created is a game that is essentially a whole new genre. I expect that a lot of the people leaving bad reviews have built up an idea in their heads as to what the game will be. But I am truly impressed and have played the game for 40+ hours now and can't stop! I feel like I have barely scratched the surface and when Bethesda have said they intend the game to go on forever (with updates etc) I think it is money well spent. A major highlight for me has been using the Speed Demon mutation which increases your movement speed by a large amount whilst running around in suit and top hat beating up other players and various different creatures with a tambourine. Never before have I had so much fun in a fallout game. The random encounters you might have with other players make the game so much more than any previous Bethesda title.
Some of the people refusing to read terminals and notes that reveal the story are truly missing out on how well written this game is, maybe try reading a book or two? (I know it's a video game and you probably don't want to read anything but COME ON!)

In summary, this game does need more than a few fixes and Bethesda could have probably done with holding off on the release until it is properly finished but what Bethesda game hasn't had a buggy release?

P.S please add push to talk!

Though after playing the B.E.T.A I found the game amazingly fun, I love the universe that the game is set in. The landscape and world of Appalachia is a large and very well built one. All of the new creatures in the game are very cool, they even have some returning ones from previous games. The building system is a blast and a very good feature for the game. There are plently of quests and events that will keep you busy and entertained. I myself am level 38 as of writing this and I still have piles and piles of quests to do. There are also a bunch of factions that you can join in this game and receive some really cool gear from, eventually Bethesda will add faction based PVP as well. Speaking of adding new things, Bethesda has already said they will continue to add more content into the game. All DLCs are said to be free content, and that is a very good thing for this game. I myself am addicted to this game as a long time Fallout fan, I am very impressed with what Bethesda has done here and look forward to the games future.

The hate for this game is misplaced imo. You guys are making user reviews essentially useless by just reiterating what others have said and not playing the game for yourselves. The one that sticks in my mind the most, is one of them LOVES GTA V, and has been playing RDR2 nearly nonstop, going on and on about it. He said that F76 was smoother, more fluid, and the combat was WAY more exciting, than either of the Rockstar games. He also just finished AC: Odyssey, and not surprisingly said AC put F76 to shame.

Based on all of their comments, there is no way I could give less than an 8/10, but not giving it more than 9. There are still bugs and glitches, and some things that need improved or tweaked. But, in no way could this deserve less than a 7, even for the most hated perspective, because it is a sound game, and a good first foray into MP territory.

The world itself is the story. You get to see what peoples lives where and how ware destroyed it. This game isn't like so many where the the plot holds your hand like WOW, or FFXIV where a fully cinematic video tells you what happened. The game really shines when played with friends. Can't wait for private servers and mods but in the meantime it's just a ton of fun to explore the fallout world with a buddy or two. But when friends aren't online it's a good time take in all the story details included in the environment and build up your base a little so you can show it off when the log on.

If you're a long time Fallout fan, prepare to miss the colorful (and killable) NPCs. Points are deducted for not coming up a better solution than simply having them all be long-dead. However, some of those points are returned for the intrigue of sharing the world with other living players which can add real tension. It turns out tracking a bounty (a player who has invited pvp upon themselves by killing someone who did not fight back) across the scorched landscape with a sniper rifle can be quite exhilarating.

    Was mich begeistert:

Hätte noch vieles was man Positives schreiben könnte...

    Herzliche Griessli

I can´t understand it, I´m reading the low score reviews and some of them looks like they didn´t play the same game as me.

    - The multiplayer in game is not the core, is just an extra. I´m playing Fallout 76 as it was Fallout 3 or 4 and enjoying been lost in the map, or explring a ruined mansion.
    - Bugs? Surely it will have, but I didnt find them at the moment, maybe a dragon flying backside?
    - I really love the building system.
    - The public events are funny, this is a good idea taken from games like "The Division", as I said it´s an extra to the game.
    - The music and sounds are, as usual in Bethesda games, wonderful.
    - The microtransactions are only for useless aesthetic crap. So, if you want it is your decision.
    - The only thing I don´t feel comfortable with is the UI, maybe too orientated to console users.

I don´t try to stop the internet hating machine, I just want to avoid you missing this game if you like previous fallout games.

Adding networking to a game engine like this is not an easy task. I suspect this game will age very nicely as they improve the engine and add new content. There is incredible potential, especially if they add factions of human NPCs that allow for you to gain reputations.

To but it simply, if you are a fan of modern Fallout games, this really shouldn't be an exception. 76 still has a ton of great story in it. It has all the aspects of exploration, discovery, and world building that all the modern Fallout games have. I've played it largely solo and I've had a fantastic time. Yes, it requires you to read notes and terminals, but that's stuff that has been in all of the modern Fallouts (and even in Elder Scrolls games) and this style of narrative is consistently some of the best story telling in gaming. The way locations will build on one another through interconnected events and personal relationships is super enjoyable. The way you are able to discover the story for yourself, rather than have it dropped in front of you is a fantastic reward for your exploration efforts. It's satisfying to feel like you are uncovering some lost history of those who have past. I see how many people may not see this side of the game because it's not necessarily cohesive with a multiplayer experience. Rummaging through old terminals and notes may also not be an intuitive gameplay motivation for someone who hasn't played other Fallout games and experienced it already.

Fallout 76 is honestly still a lot like previous, modern Fallouts. It's always been a buggy engine, albeit exacerbated by overhauling it to allow networking. I just hope that they use this game as an opportunity to update their engine iteratively, over time. The improvements to the engine that were required for this game are likely very intensive, and I bet required uprooting entire parts of the engine. These updates could be carried over to future Bethesda games, up until they develop a new engine, or mold this one into something more modern. This is much like what Blizzard has done with the Warcraft engine over the last decade. Unfortunately, many of these improvements are back end and likely won't be noticed by most consumers.

The big two differences I see between 76 and previous modern Fallouts; It's got improvements to combat with the fact that you can't just freeze time, chug some stims and then unfreeze. It has no human NPCs, and granted there are plot reasons for that, I do hope they decide to add some later.

If you're a Fallout fan, and you can go into this game without any bias from social media, I don't see why you wouldn't still enjoy this experience at its core.

I am excited to see if they will add interesting content updated to expand on the game's lore and some of the newly added multiplayer systems. Something similar to The Division's darkzone would be perfect.

So I've been a Fallout fan since Fallout 3. When I first heard about what this would be, I was dubious because I really didn't find getting pursued and harassed by angry kids to be fun or relaxing. I ended up finding people from all over the world to explore and adventure with and it's been amazing. The people, real people have made this game. We even created our own Discord faction, so that other people who may struggle with social anxiety can be teamed up and meet other people to socialize with. It's been amazingly positive. If nothing else, this game has given many of us more than just a fun shooter experience. Expand

I purchased 5 copies of the game and built 2 additional computers just so I could play with all 4 of my kids. After having put in over 200 hours with this game I give it a perfect score. So much action and Nukage visuals all over the place and I'm still floored on how they manage to do this at all.

The reason I give this a near perfect score is because I would have given it a 10 but I marked 1 point off for some of the minor bugs me and my kids have experienced. I'll wait a few months more and drop it to a 8 out of 10 if these bugs aren't resolved by then. Otherwise I'm gonna put in another couple hundred hours and enjoy the game with my kids. Thank you Bethesda for making an incredible game!

Many people give this game 0-3 which is ridiculous. At this point major issues have been resolved and I can confirm that this game is far more enjoyable than many other titles which are considered almost bug free. Main thing here that it is fun! You enjoy your time playing! Story is average but not terrible. Nuclear Winter mode even in its pre-beta state is super fun. I like how you get XPMany people give this game 0-3 which is ridiculous. You can spend many hours building your camp and it worth it cause people can actually see it. Game has this classic fallout sense of humor. The only downside is that it still has many small annoying issues which I hope will be fixed. Expand

Started playing during free week and except for the occasional disconnect I've encountered no real problems.
Bought the game after the free week ended and I don't regret it, they fixed a lot of problems people had at the release and I think it deserves another chance.

This game just keeps getting better. The servers have stabilized and I usually end up play for at least 4 hours every day because of how fun it is.

The game is aimed at playing with other users. One is very bored of the game but overall the game is not bad. Everyone who says that the game is buggy, they just did not play it.

I'm quite skeptical whenever Bethesda releases a game nowadays, since in my opinion they are reaching EA lows (and now Blizzard) with certain cutthroat policies. In any case, Fallout 76 was terrible, but like ESO, it's turning out to be a very good game after all the updates, with Wastelanders it's the perfect chance to give it another chance.

Fallout 76 represents a big disappointment and the lowest point of the series so far. Riddled with bugs, repetitive and dull gameplay, nonexistent story and outdated graphics, it fails as a both multiplayer and singleplayer experience for fans and newcomers alike.

Miracles do happen once in a while and No Man’s Sky proved that sometimes it is possible to get back on your feet even after a terrible failure. Right now though Fallout 76 is botched spectacularly on so many levels that even talking about this game is a waste of time. [01/2019, p.46]

An unfinished game with bifurcated identity and in an almost dysfunctional state. It's hard to build on a bad base, that will never change. Like the war. [Issue#292]
